Smoke gently piles out of the small chimney of the small bricked den. A couple of rabbits hop here and there and a fence blocks off the back garden of the hut from the rest of the grounds. There were just some places students shouldn't be. A lovely variety of flowers blossomed around the hut which just gave it that extra homely feeling.

A man who is of a reasonable height with firey red hair lives within the hut. He had taken over from the previous groundskeepers and made the hut his home already. His door is always open for visitors and he has many stories he would love to tell you about his time at Hogwarts and his life after his school years.

Trent made his way on the grounds. He felt he had put on a couple of pounds after eating all of that at the feast. He would get a present for the house elves and send it to them as a thanks. He made it to his hut and flicked his wand on the door which made it click open. He made his way in and drew open the curtains to make students aware that he was inside in case they needed help or if they were to visit. He would need to make a point of going round all the Professors and his co-groundskeeper to get to know his colleagues a bit better. The feast was far too busy to socialise with strangers.

Jack went to met the groundskeeper she said "Hello there! Hope I don't interrupt u...I'm new here...I'm Jack Riddle" she said

Trent smiled at the young Slytherin, "Why hello there Jack. I am new here too. Call me Trent. Would you like to come in for some tea?" he offered and opened the door wide open to welcome the student in as he took his seat on his usual comfy armchair. He flicked his wand over to the wooden worktop where a kettle began to boil on the hob. "So, you enjoying Hogwarts so far Jack?"

The kettle finished boiling and Trent poured the water into a cup and added the tea bags. "Oh? You were at Beauxbatons before coming here? Do you prefer Hogwarts? I could imagine Beauxbatons would be much more of a perfectionist kind of school than Hogwarts." He stirred the tea and flung the spoon into the basin. He handed the cup over to Jack and returned to his seat, "Why did you transfer anyway?"

Jack took the cup of tea and said "thanks...yeah Beauxbatons was very perfeccionist...I moved here,...because that was my mom's last wish before she died...she told me that here I will make my DADA stronger..."she said "she died 2 years ago...and my dad died 3 days ago" she said "do u like ur work?" she said

"Oh bother," Trent said sympathetically as the girl went on to talk about her parents. Deciding not to press on the subject any further he answered her question, "Well, yes, so far it has been wonderful. My job allows me to fend for plants and creatures and when I was at school Herbology and COMC were my favourite subjects along with Potions. I used to own a hotel in Glasgow before I came here. But, I just needed to settle down with something which wasn't so exhausting."

"Well, working in a hotel didn't really leave much time for the magical side of life. But I have met one and only one. I was on holiday in Majorca and the idiot transformed in the middle of a night club in front of a ton of muggles. The Spanish ministry had to come in and sort it out and take the muggle witness' memory away. Thinking back on it now it was quite an experience," Trent chuckled. "Why do you ask?"

Eternal was nervous. She always was when it came down to when she wanted to meet new professors. Like last year when she met Natasha, the Divination professor or when she met Adam, the potions master this term. She always was up for meeting new professors. Since she knew she was going to be around the grounds alot, like she did the past three terms, she thought it best to meet the groundskeeper.

She slowly inched her hand forward and knocked on the wooden door to the hut. She could hear two voices coming from inside the hut, she slowly backed away from the door to give off distance, just incase the door flew open, of course.

"Oh you are? Interesting. I hope your a registered animagus, otherwise I'd have to report you," he winked at her showing the slytherin that he was only joking. "I have never played quidditch. Flying was my worst subject ever," He laughed.

His door knocked. "Looks like we have company Jack," he said whilst getting off his feet and answering the door. "Why hello my dear Ravenclaw, please come in. We were just having a chat. Some tea perhaps?" He ushered the girl into the hut. He stepped outside for a moment and whistled with his two fingers and in came his black cat TNT. "Good boy," he said bending down to stroke him.

"Anyway, tea?" he repeated to the new girl whilst closing his door.

Eternal's silver eyes blinked. Everything was so... well kept in the small cottage. She smiled to herself and she hopped into the small and cozy area. She saw another student sitting with a cup of tea in there hand.

"Yes, I would like some tea very much so. Thank you," she said with her soft frenh accent. She nodded her head, her silver long curls bouncing around her shoulders. She added, "I'm Eternal Snow. And you must be the new Groundskeeper. Pleasure to meet you." Whilst she was saying this she bent down into a curtsy.

"Nice to meet you Eternal, pretty name. Just call me Trent," he insisted as he poured some tea for the Ravenclaw girl and then handed her the mug. He returned to his seat and asked, "Your french? Did you by chance go to Beauxbatons as well like Jack here?" It was amazing how many transfers Hogwarts actually held. Must be interesting going between two completely different schools. Trent had only ever experienced Hogwarts.

Eternal blushed. Trent actually liked her name? She made a small squeal inside her head. And he was also so handsome. Red firey hair is what she liked, and he sported it quite well, she thought to herself.

She blinked and took the mug and thanked him again. She shook her head, obviously he had assumed she did. "No, I live in Brittany, France. I was transferred here when I was eleven to come here." She smiled and took as ip from the mug of tea. Oh my! It was delicious! She smiled as she pressed her lips back to the mug for another sip.

"Wonderful," Trent exclaimed as he drank the remainders of his own tea. "Eternal, this is Jack. She has transfered from Beauxbatons to here, isn't it wonderful! and Jack this is Eternal. It is nice to meet new friends, huh?" He smiled sheepishly. He loved having company, and such nice company it was too.

Phoebe was wondering the grounds when she noticed a hut. She knew this was the groundskeepers and walkedover, knocking softly on the door. Phoebe opened it and slid inside to be greeted by a group of people. A fiery red haired man stood out. Seeing this must have been the groundskeeper she smiled warmly at him. "Hello, Phoebe Malt. How are you?" she asked with a tilt of her head.

Taking a look round she smiled and nodded at the otehr two students in turn. The hut had a real homely feel. Phoebe felt a sudden twist in her stomach as she remebered her home and had trouble fighting back tears for a few moments, until she regained her composere. "Nice day" she commented looking out at the sunny grounds form one of the windows.

Another visitor popped their head in the door. "Why hello there, Phoebe was it? Come take a seat!" Trent got off his backside and walked over to the kettle once more and refilled his cup and filled another cup for the new guest. He brought it over to the Hufflepuff child and sat down again. "I was just speaking to Eternal and Jack here," Trent indicated the other two girls occupying his other seats. "Oh, call me Trent by the way. Before I forget," he smiled.

Brie smiled as she hedded toward the little hut. She heard that he gave stories and would love to here one of them. Not wanting to be unpolite she knocked and waited for a reply.

The door went yet again. Trent was worrying about how much space he would have left after a while. He answered the door and smiled at a Gryffindor this time. He had a member of each house in his hut now, how fascinating. "Hello there, I'm Trent, grab yourself a seat and I will get you some tea." He poured her a cup from the already hot kettle and passed the tea too her, "Whats your name?"

Jack saw the new girl who have entered the Hut "Hello! there! " she said and then she turned to Trent and said "Trent...do you think that we can became friends?" she said...she loved to have friends

Trent smiled warmly, "Certainly, I think that would be nice Jack." He shuffled in his seat and stroked TNT who was now sitting comfortably on his lap.
