| | |  The Observation Deck
Nestled high above the rest of Hogwarts is a new portion of the Astronomy Tower that just been recently opened. The door simply states:
The Observation Deck
Open every day and night unless an extra credit session is in progress. See the Bulletin Board for details.
Behind the door is another set of staircases that lead to a large terrace above the school. The scenery overlooks the beautifully manicured grounds of Hogwarts and the mysterious Forbidden Forest. Powerful telescopes line the wall closest to the door, ready for use on extra credit assignments or for a curious peek at the sky above. A comfortable sized tent is set up to your left with a couple of long tables stretching the entire length of the canopy. Several bookshelves containing texts and pleasurable reads are not far away. A few wooden benches and assorted foliage from the Herbology Greenhouses located at selected areas around the deck complete the tour. | |

Amber gazed through a telescope intently. She spent several hours pouring over an Astronomy book, while occasionally taking a break to look back into the sky using the telescope.

Allie gasped at the marvelous view, then shakily, grabbed hold of a telescope to look at the stars. "Wow..." She looked up at the beautiful heavens, "I can't wait to start this class..." she said softly.

Touy loved to look at the stars and she knew this is were it would mean even more to her. Looking through the telescope at the full moon Touy exclaimed 'Oh how beautiful' I could sit here all night Touy thought.  | |

Judy never looked at the stars this way before. This is magnificent! Judy thought as she peeped through the telescope. She got clear view of the cloudless night. She couldn't wait till the classes started so she could learn about the stars and where people have said where dreams come true.

Luna walked up the stairs to the observation deck, she took out her new rectractable telescope that she had baught with the money she took from her father. She took out her astronomy book and began plotting down some of the stars and planets she saw, she looked around at the other students who were working then turned back to her own work. She looked out into the clear night and suddenly felt wonderfully peacefull. Luna took out her quill and continued with her work. | |

Oja loved painting. That is why she was up here on the Observation Deck. She needed the telescope to paint the full moon and the forbiden forest!
It was a beautiful site. She couldn't belive it ! Oja emidiately took her papper and pen and started painting...

Sylvia creeped up onto the Observation Deck, her ebony hair blending into the night sky. The sky which her hair blended into was full of glittering stars and when she glanced Sylvia couldn't help but bump into a long table very loudly. " I've just ruined the moment. " Sylvia declared softly to herself .

Vicky took a look at the place knowing there was were she belong.. she adore to look at the stars, she could do that for hours, they were so beautiful.. she stood there and after an hour or two (she couldn´t say it) she left looking forward to her first class

*Mickey ascended the tower and looked out over the grounds. It was hard to think that soon this would all be a memory. He had a marvelous future ahead of him but it was hard to give up the past. Just then he noticed a flash of light near the base of the flagpole. As he swung one of the 'scopes about a loud BOOM reached his ears.*
"BY ALL THE GODS!" he shouted. "Someone's fired the cannon!"

Professor Hutchinson decided to take a short visit up to the deck to see how the students were doing. She had contemplated long and hard over the previous summer to open up the extra area and, in the end, the pros overruled the cons when it came to such a thing. She quietly opened the door and shut it behind her, taking in the view, which so happened to include the tail end of a student flying off of deck. Shocked, she hurried over to the railing and called out angrily to the student diving for the grounds.
"Hey! Get back here and get off that broom! NOW!"
Any student would've been a fool to try and interrupt the professor at this point. Some would later say that the smoke coming out of her ears was clearly visible. | |

Sylvia got up and noticed a boy flying around on broom and was thinking how stupid the boy was when a little voice in her head said, That looks like fun. She quickly shook that thought out of her head, but Sylvia couldn't help smiling. Sylvia still thought the kid was an idiot though.

Meghan walked up the steps to get to the observation deck. She stepped out of the way as Professor Hutchinson rushed past her. She looked at her curiously before walking the rest of the way up.
When she reached the landing she stretched out her arms. The rush of the wind felt so good. The night was warm and the breeze felt good. She set her bookbag down at the nearest telescope.
She pulled out one of her Astronomy books and opened it to a page that had different stars on it. She walked over to the telescope hoping to see one of them. It was at that moment she realized that the telescope was positioned downward. She looked around at the other students and looked through it wondering why on earth it would be facing away from the sky.
As soon as her eyes adjusted she saw a spurt of red and quickly lifted her head looking at the grounds. She swore she saw, but no it couldn't be, could it? This time as she looked through the telescope she knew what to look for and once again she saw it. A Gryffindor flying around on a broom.
She stepped back enraged. No wonder the Professor looked upset. She shook her head sadly and than positioned the telescope upward. Forgetting about the Gryffindor she went back to looking for the stars.
