Close to the edge of the forbidden forest, but not connected to it, stands a small grove of tall, leafy trees. The brances reach all the way down to the ground, making them perfect for climbing. Something seems to be moving around through the foliage, but it is camoflauged and elusive. The perimetre of the trees is protected by an invisible force, proventing both entry and exit.

"I'll give it a shot Professor." Ozzy said enthusiasticlly and stepped up to the ctrate. He picked one of the harnesses, a large rope and a few clips from the crate and fastened himself into it and made sure that the rope, clips and harness where secure on him then waited for further instructions.

Kalaya headed over to the crate and grabbed the equipment. She pulled on the harness and such before heading over to a nearby tree. She liked to climb the trees at the lake and was excited about this. She waited for the professor to say that they could go, as she did she scanned the crowd for familiar faces.

Professor Dainsie walked amongst those putting on gear and double checked that it was all put on correctly. Then, grabbing the ropes that each student had, she attatched them one by one to her wand tip and shot them up into the tree, securing them to the large strong branches. Weight testing each of the ropes, she was satisfied that they were all safe.

Ok, once I have tested your rope you may begin to climb. You can't fall far, the ropes will tighten and catch you, but please be very careful anyway. We'll all meet up on the marked branch, you'll see a red flag placed on one of the largest ones up in the canopy.

Kalaya waited for the professor to check her rope as she looked up at the tree. She tried to find the marked branch, but couldn't. After Dainsie had checked her rope she began to look for a branch for her to start on. Once she found it she pulled herself up to it. She then began climbing up with particular ease and made decent progress. Sometimes she thought she was half monkey when she was in a tree.

Rave grinned and started to climb up the tree like she had at the family manor when she was smaller. Only this time there was no nanny screaming at her to get down and no parents to punish her.

Squinting up at her rope to see that it was secure, Eunice grabbed ahold of a nearby tree branch and hoisted herself up, getting higher and higher. She didn't dare look down. It's not that she was afraid of heights or anything, but didn't want to take the chance. As she climbed, she tried to make sure that her robes didn't get caught on twigs or leaves.

Sabrina smiled as she looked up into the canopy of trees. When the professor had come around and checked her rope, she began to climb the trees, following her classmates. As she continued she marveled at the beauty. Who knew trees could be so beautiful she thought. As she moved upward, she kept her eyes peeled for signs of a Clabbert.

Professor Dainsie hovered on the ground under the climbers a bit longer just incase. She had checked and re-checked, but it was always better to be safe then sorry, especially when it came to her students. Once she was sure that they were nearly there she began to climb hereslf, going directly up the rope using her upper body strength to pull herself up.

Ozzy walked over to one side of a massive tree and bagan to climb. He made his way to the midde of it quickly. He occasionally looked down to mark his progress, then resumed climbing. Once he had spotted the large branch with the red flag the Professor had described he made his over to it and sood still upon it, his right hand holing on to a small sturdy branch above it.

Once she was up on the branch she checked to make sure that everyone had made it safely.

Everyone's here? Good. Now if you look up to the right you will see something red glowing out of the green, why would you?

Sabrina took one hand off a branch and raised it slightly, saying. "It has a large pustule which flashes red when it senses the approach of danger, including Muggles.”

"Professor, would it be because the large pustule in the middle of the Clabberts forehead turnes scarlet and flashes when it senses danger?" Ozzy asked nervously.

That's correct! They aren't normally afraid of wizards so much, but he is still a bit panicky after being moved here and theres alot of us. Now, who can fill this in for me?

The Clabbert is a tree-dwelling creature, in appearance something like a cross between a ____ and a ____.

Precisely! But it has since been exported all around the world.

Now while I see if I can get the little fella a bit closer, show can tell us an accurate description of what they look like. Hopefully by the time you finish I'll have him so we can prove it.

She began to move off, climbing slightly higher in the tree and slowly approaching the creature.

She made her way back down to the branch carefully, the little clabbert having secured itself around her middle.

Sabrina hesitated and then said. “I’ve heard that they used to be used Wizard gardens to warn them of nearing Muggles. However the International Confederation of Wizards has introduced fines which have ended this practice. The sight of a tree or other object at night full of glowing pustules attracted too much attention. Therefore wizards can't use them for their own personal use.” she finished, not certain if that was the answer she was looking for,.
