Jackie, who had been sitting quietly in the corner, waited for her potion to be checked. For what she could see from her seat in the corner, her potion was just about the same as everyone elses. It was a pale orange color, not as bright as some other potions, but orange nonetheless

*hands over chocolate frogs to Professor Braxton*
"I won't eat in you class again as one of my new year's resolutions."

Zelot sat there taking notes through out the class, she had laringits so she couldn't talk. As the Professor instructed the class to pull out there tools and cauldron she jumped right on it.

She poured the 200mL of corn oil, she then added the mallow whole and allowed the steeping to happen for the requred 30 min.

While this process was occuring, she took out the aloe and prepaired it as directed on the chalk board. As she finished with the 20 drops she added the two squeezed slugs into the aloe, and then the one hand full of chickweed.

She then added the mixture into the mallow and corn oil. She stired it counterclockwise continusly, while it came to a boil. As the potion came to a boil, Zelot stopped the stiring for twenty minutes

At the end of twenty minuets, Zelot turned off the flame, and continued to stir counterclockwise again for another Twenty minuets.

Zelot watched the potion the entire time as it turned to the color orange.

"Very good brewing everyone. If you would kindly pour your potions into a vial, stopper it, label it, and bring it to the front, I will grade them. For those who achieved the paste, you may need to scrape it into the vial." Professor Branxton took the chocolate frogs and walked to the front of the class, depositting them in the top drawer of his desk. "Are there any questions before I assign homework?"

Rose scrapes some paste into a vial, stoppers it, labels it, and takes to the front of the room. Then she sits back in her seat waiting to write down the homework.

Mattio's potion had the consistency of mashed potatoes. He half poured/half scraped the orange paste into the vial and brought it up to the proffessor's desk. He did not have any questions.

"Um, Professor, I think I messed up." Adrienne gazed down at her thick, sludgy brown mixture. "I think I cooked it too long. What do you think? Can I salvage it, or start over?" Inside she was thinking 'Screw-up screw-up screw-up screw-up.....'

pauline poured her potion into the vial, labeled it, and brought it up to the proffesor. she went back to her desk and waited for the homework

Zelot did as she was told and scraped the potion into the vial. She labeled it and turned it into the professor.

Maureen scraped some paste into the vial. She then stoppers it and labeled it. She brought it up the the professor. She goes back to her seat and waits to write the homework down.

Gaby takes out a vial and a knife from her potions kit. She's relieved her potion wasn't the only one not to turn out perfectly. Gaby scrabs some off the side of the cauldron and places it in the vial. She marks it:

Gaby then goes back to her place and cleans up.

Jackie collected her potion in a vial and labeled it. She walked up to the room and set it on the desk, and asked "should it be that thick, Professor? It is about the consistancy of frozen ice cream."

Adrienne shrugged and bottled her botched concoction. 'Well, as long as I do the homework I think I can make a decent mark in this class.' she thought. People make mistakes, life goes on... (Screw-up screw-up screw-up.) She labled it and took it to the Professor.

"We won't have time to rebrew so just put what you have in a vial. Since it would be unethical to burn you or creatures to test this potion out, we won't need to worry about if the potion will actually work or not at the moment," he told the worried students.

"For homework, I would like those of you who did not get your brew perfect, which I think is most of you, to tell me what you think you did wrong and how you can improve your brew. Those who brewed perfectly, you may supply reasons why you think your classmates may have erred."

Not Fatal? Excellent. Jessica was sure she had done it all rightly, hadn’t she? Of course she had, she thought, calming down finally. And anyway, no one was testing it on her. Great! Even if didn’t work very effectively, it would on most burns. This couldn’t get any better! She had the answer to her question now, and her potion was ready too.

She poured the paste into a vial, careful not to spill any on the floor. Her hand shook a bit but it was all done quite neatly. She labelled it with her name, house and year and examined it, just to be sure.

Finally, she walked over to the Professor, vial in hand, and handed it to him, already thinking of what her essay would contain.

“Thanks for the interesting lesson Professor,” she said warmly. That had been quite an enjoyable class, come to think of it.

Julie poured her greenish liquid into a vial labeled it with her name "Julie Stone", wasn't even a paste she told herself as she walked over to Professor Branxton's desk and placed it. She came back to her area and wrote the homework down.

Maureen wrote the homework down.

Kiki wrote down the Homework.

When Ozzy was satisfied with the cleaness of his area and had packed up all his supplies, and stowed his cauldron away, he gathered his stoppered vial, full of thick orange burn heal paste and made his way up to the front and placed it neatly beside the other stoppred vials. "Professor." He said, nodded and made his way back to his seat. He wrote down the homework assignment in his 'To do list' notebook stood up once more and slung his book bag over his left shoulder and made his way to the door. "I really enjoyed the lesson Professor." He said and gave him a smile before dissapering behind the door.

Jessica now began to gather her things - heaps of notes, ink, quills, spare parchments. She stuffed all of them in her bag and slipped it over her shoulder. Then she disappeared out of the classroom with another note of Thanks to he Professor.

Professor Branxton waited for the students to exit the classroom before extinguishing the candles and locking the door behind him.
