*You walk past the Muggle Studies classroom, and a small notice catches your eye*

Lessons will begin this evening Monday February 20th at 6:30 pm (EST).

Professor Light opens up the door to her classroom, ripping the note of the door as she enters. The room is completely different from usual. Instead of desks the floor is completely cleared, and the flooring is that of hard-wood. In the back of the room, many large cushions panel the back wall. She glances around the room and smiles. With a flick of her wand, the board is wiped clear and writing appears.

“Professor I. Light.
Muggles Studies, Lesson 3”

Professor Light moves to grab one of the cushions and sits it up toward the front of the room. Spotting the students entering, she shouts out,
“Just grab a cushion as you walk in, feel free to sit yourself anywhere. Then get out your notebooks and pencils.”

Julia skips into one of her favorite classes - Muggle Studies. She merrily takes a cushion and plops down on the floor in the middle of the room, and looks up to where she sees another one, most likely Professor Light's, is laying on the floor. Julia takes out her notebook and her pencil and smiles brightly up at Professor Light. "Ah, Professor Light. How are you this wonderful day?" she asks perkily.

Christy entered the Muggle Studies classroom and she gasped as she looked around her. The room was completely different from usual. Sabrina walked into the room, a skip in her step. She loved Muggle Studies and was excited to find out what they would do today. As she looked around the room, she noticed cushions scattered on the floor. She picked one and plopped down on it, eagerly awaiting the beginning of class. "Hello, professor! How are you today?" she asked cheerfully.

ooc: I think I'll start, it will just be a small homely type of class today, but I don't mind

"I'm great, as always, and I'm glad to see you here!" she said to the students who had greeted her.

Professor Light looked around her room, noticing a smaller number of students than usual. Even so, she smiled at the students there and stood up.

"Ok, ok, time for a review! From what I can remember, most of you were in my lesson last week... so can anyone tell me one rule about soccer we learned?"

Julia quickly flips through her notes from last lesson. Glancing through, she finds something that might be correct and she raises her hand. Reading straight from her notes, she begins, "The official rules of soccer are that a yellow card is a warning for removal, a red card expells you from a game, and if you get enough red cards, you can be out for the season."

Sabrina raised her hand. "Another rule is that, other than the goalkeepers, players must not use their hands or arms to touch the ball in general play."

Christy gave a quick look to her notes from the last lesson "When the game is tied at the end, there are two 15 minute over times. If, after both overtimes, the game is still tied, there is a penalty kick shoot out, in which five members from each team get a direct shot on the goal" she said raising her hand.

Professor Light smiled as she called on three girl students, all of whom gave excellent answers. "Great job, 5 points each to Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Gryffindor!"

Professor Light walked over to the board, and taped it clear of writing. Then she began to speak once more, "Alright then, so this week we are going to take a look at a completely different type of sport. Some Muggles wouldn't even call this a sport, but to me, I think it requires everything any other sport requires. this week we are going to try our hand at..."

Professor Light tapped the board. The word "BOWLING" appeared in large letters.

Rose wrote evertything on the board down in her notebook with her pencil. She had heard about bowling and played it once, but she didn't know how to play it very well. She turned her attention to the professor and listened.

Julia's heart skips a beat. "Oi vei. Three classes in a row and I know how to play the things we're going to learn about!" she says under her breath excitedly. Her father is a muggle and was on the bowling team for a year back when he was in his 20's. Grinning excitedly, Julia labels an empty page on her notebook as 'Bowling'.

Christy smiled to Professor Light and took her notes. 'Bowling?' I wonder what's it like...Christy pushed away her thought and waited for the class to move on

Professor Light conituned on, "Bowling, unlike soccer, is usually played indoors. Most indoor forms are played on a "lane", a flat surface made of wood, which is several times longer than it is wide. Most common form is called 10-pin bowling, which, as you would guess from the name, uses 10 pins." she paused.

"The game basically involves knocking down the ten pins placed at a distance of 60 feet from a line. What you do is, roll a six to eighteen pound ball down the "bowling alley" as it is called, in an attempt to knock over all ten of those pins." She stopped and smiled. "You guys know me well enough by now to realize that we'll get a chance to do that later... but first, I'm going to inform you about how the game actually works."

Meghan clapped her hands looking absolutly delighted. She had always wanted to bowl, and now she was going to get the chance! She took down notes in her notebook and than waited to hear the rest.

Lestat listened and blinked.
What on earth was this? (lmao) He couldn't wait to see the game in action.
He was taking notes on the back of a chocolate frog box, because he'd lost all his parchment earlier on..

Julia nods at all of what Professor Light says. She jots down some notes and ponders for a moment, then shrugs. Adjusting herself on her cushion, she waits for the professor to continue.

After looking around for questions, she continued. She closed her eyes and tapped the board with her wand. Instantly, this image appeared:

"This is a common Muggle "Bowling Alley". Like most of us, Muggles don't usually own a 60 foot stretch of hardwood floor, so they often go to a designated place to play." she stopped, wanting to give everyone a chance to examine the picture.

Julia smiles at the picture on the board. "Ah, this brings back memories," she says quietly to herself with a giggle. Glancing over at her brother, she notices he's writing on the back of a chocolate frog box. Snickering for a moment, she rips a few pieces of paper out of her notebook and hands them to him. "Use these. They're much handier," she tells Lestat, smirking slightly. Julia turns her attention back to the board and Professor Light.

whoa, that looks rather like my kitchen he thinks to himself.

This lesson was fun, he thought.

Lestat reached and took the parchment that his sister handed him.

"Thanks" He whispered.

Meghan looked at the picture. It was very interesting. There seemed to be more than one lane all right next to each other. She was confused so she raised her hand, " Um, do you bowl on all those lanes?" She asked confusedly.

Lestat suddenly realised that it wasn't parchment.. it was just paper.
He shrugged, it was better than chocolate frog box card.
He folded the chocolate frog box and put it in his pocket. He watched Professor Light and waited for her to continue, now taking notes on real paper.

"Now... scoring can be a bit confusing at first, so listen up. In bowling, the game is devided into 10 “frames”. There are 10 pins, and therefore, 10 points available each frame. Each frame, a person has the oppurtunity to roll the ball down the hard wood alley, and try to knock over the pins. If they knock over all ten of the pins, they get 10 points, called a “strike”, plus the points from their next frame. If they don’t knock all 10 pins over, the person still has one more chance. If they knock all 10 over, they get a “spare” which gives them all 10 points, plus the points from the first turn of their next score. " Professor Light wrote this on the board as she talked, in case any of the students wished to write it down.

Rose studies the photo and copies done all the notes on the board and everyting the professor says in her notebook. Bowling started to sound even more interesting.

Lestat went through that in his head several times before deciding to write it down. He used uber tiny writing so that the paper would last.

"Ten points..~~to ravenclaw~~" he muttered to himself as he wrote.
This lesson was turning out to be awesome. He hoped that they would study toast in the future, as toasters was a muggle invention that he was fond of.
Lestat coughed.
