Zelot then put on her dragonhide gloves and sprinkled a little soil on the top, then a splash of water on top just to moisten the soil a little.

Sabrina glanced at the chart again. She picked up her wand, clearly said "Lumos" and held the resulting light at a 45 degree angle to the plant. It began to become a darker color. She moved it a little closer, but it began to droop. She pulled back, but it continued to droop. "Oh, what did I do wrong?" she muttered.

She grabbed the water pitcher and added some water. The plant grew into a sky blue and began to perk up. Adding some soil and once again holding the light at 45 degrees, the plant began to grow darker, soon reaching a light purple. She glanced at the chart again and added a little more water and soil. The plant straightened up a bit more and darkened to a purple. She sighed in relief.

Biwiggy stared at the diagram the professor had given them and couldn't help feeling confused by the intertwining arrows, especially as they were meant to discard the metal and wood. She got out a piece of parchment and re-drew the diagram to make it more simple.

Water overcomes fire, which generates earth, which overcomes water.

'There!' She thought to herself, 'Much easier!'

She than set to work on the plant.

"so what do you wnat to try next we are so close. i think a little bit more light will do it. what do you think?" pauline asked her

g_g added a little more sunlight. "Lumos" she said. after 2 seconds she said "Knox" and put out the light. the flower turned dark blue again. "whoa? b-but? i thought...." she said worrying then her plant turned to a darker shade of lavander. "yes! whew!" she sighed. then to her amazement, her plant turned to purple! "wow!" she whispered.

Reviewing her observations, Kay realized that she did not see how the plant reacted to water without any light. "Nox," she muttered and the light coming from the tip of her wand was extinguished. She added the equivalent of a tablespoon of water to the plant and watched closely for any reaction.

"Yea i think a little light and some water after might just make it the right color." Tiffany said to Pauline. "Lumos." she said while pointing it to the plant. The plant then became a darker shade.

Mithos looked at his plant and he noticed he had added quite a bit too much of water so he'd trust Kay and add some soil to make it just right. He, with gloves, grabbed a handful of soil and added it. He waited a little bit to see what was going to happen. It was still too wet he needed more soil. He grabbed another handful and threw it in. After a few seconds the plant began to change color. It was turning purple. "Thanks." he said to Kay, happy she had helped him but quite disappointed about his hair.

Julie was done and was waiting for her classmates to finish she stared at sabrina, her plant kept tilting, she was hoping she will figure it out and gladly her plant straighetened up an dthen truned purple.. Julie smiled and said "Nice job sabrina"

pauline tried a little bit more light. she waited for the it turned darker. "actually i think it needs a little bit more soil" pauline said

"Yea i think you're right." Tiffany said.

Zelot's plant started to droop. "What did I do? I know I didn't add to much of any one thing." but Zelot thought harder. "mabey i didn't add enough." Zelot added a little more water and then more light.

Jessica nodded. "Tahnks Professor," she said politely. She poured more water on the plant. A bud had opened up. The shocking pink deepened. then it began to turn Indigo. "Good," Jessica thought. The colour was quite near to Purple. She shone the rays of light on the flowers and threw some earth on it. Wiping her hands at he robes, she lowered her wand right above the flowers and moved it slowly from side to side. Yes!!!! the flowers, slowly but surely, were turning Purple.....

"Your plant is looking good, Mithos!" Kay exclaimed and turned back to her plant. The leaves were turning a pale color but it did not show any signs of drooping. "Lumos!" she said and held her lighted wand in her left hand over the plant. Within a few minutes, the plant's leaves returned to a healthy shade of dark green. "If the soil is wet and there is no light, the leaves become paler but there is no sign of drooping," she dictated to her Quick-Quotes Quill and continued to stare at the plant. So far, she had completed two steps of the procedure.

pauline put some more soil on it. she waited for the effect. the plant turned....... please let it be purple she thought. she looked at the plant and the leaves were purple
"yes tiffany we got it." pauline said

"Thanks, Julie" she said smiling. "Finished yours?" she asked

Slowly, slowly the colour changed....It was sheer torture....A busrt of blinding light sped up the process.....Finally, the flowers were absolute, dark purple. Thank God, Jessica thought, relieved. Finally. She wiped her hands again.

"Professor," Jessica said, trying to hide her triumph. It's no big deal, get a grip on yourself, she chided herself. "The flowers have turned purple. What should I do now?...And Professor, aren't there any plants at all whose scent can poison?" she asked eagerly.

Julie said "Your welcome and yes i finished my plant a while ago.. and waiting for you guys to finish up"

Zelot looked at her plant again. She saw that it came back up to par. Then she tried to add a little more water. The plant turned a slight shade of lavender.

'Lumos!' Biwiggy said quietly, pointing her wand at the plant in front of her. She looked around the room, noticing that quite a few other people's plants had purple flowers sprouting from the stems. She looked to her own, realising that she had left the light on it a little too long. 'Whoops!' She said, quickly adding some water to the drooping plant until it was standing tall again. She added some soil a little bit at at time, along with small amounts of water. Very slowly, the plant began to change from green to purple.

Ginny raised her hand.

"Professor, what shall I do next?" she asked, pointing to her thriving plant.

Christy's plant was almost totally purple. During the process Christy looked around...her class mates were doing great and Mithos plant was 'finally' good (Christy smiled at her though). She returned her atention to the plant and gave it more light "Lumus"...

Jessica nodded once more. She wished she could note it all down somewhere. Looking at Kay, she wished she had been wise enough to bring some Quick-Quotes Quills too. Her curiosity was slowly getting the better of her. Raising her wand, she muttered "Lumos" once more and shone the light faintly on the flowers. They seemed to glow suddenly. Before anything could go wrong, Jessica extinguished the light.

Perfect, shethought arrogantly.

Kay was carefully removing the wet soil from her plant, when she heard Ginny ask for help. "What step are you on, Ginny?" she asked while remaining focused. She grabbed a handful of dry potting soil and carefully placed it in the pot without touching the plant.

Biwiggy took a step back to admire her plant. The leaves were a deep shade of purple and the stem - she groaned- had an obvious tinge of green. She added more soil and a little more light, waiting to see what would happen.
