| | |  Charms Class- Lesson Three
As opposed to her other two classes, Professor Mao-Macdougal actually looked relatively pleasant this morning. It might have had something to do with the fact that outside it was threatening to rain and there was a Flying lesson going on. You never knew, someone might get struck by lightning.
The real reason though, came to light. She was perched on her desk, her feet in their high-topped boots swinging lightheartedly, and she was smoking.
At the sight of the first student, Andi's pale face suddenly flushed and she stubbed the cigarette down onto her desk. There was a sizzling sound and the acrid smell of smoke drifted in the air.
She waved her wand and the smell was instantly covered by the musky scent of roses. Andi sighed and faced the eyes of her class - as if they mirrored her guilt. "Alright, first things first," she said in a husky voice, then she had to stop and cough hard. Her eyes were flashing furiously when she lifted her head.
"We're going to start on something simple today. The Summoning Charm. Easy and very useful." Andi sighed, and cleared her throat again. "We're going to try it wandless. So, wands on desk." | |

Ayumi coughed as she walked in the room, it smelled faintly of ciggaretes, she blushed and continued to her seat after Professor Mao-Macdougal put out her ciggarette. Pulling out her books she put her wand on the desk and settled in ready for the lesson to start.

Kay quietly walked into the classroom and made her way to the middle of the room. She could smell the musky scent of roses as she sat down at a desk. Upon hearing Professor Mao-Macdougal's directive, she took out her wand and placed it on the desk.

The room smelled so nice, but it was his favorite professor's classroom. Out of the back of his mind, he remembered insulting her during his last class. The thought tore at his heart. How could he ever insult Professor Mao-Macdougal? | |

After coming from the hospital wing,Stasia walked into her charms class.It smelled like a mix of roses and cigarettes(an odd combo),but it let her know that her sense of smell was coming back and not at a worser time.She walked into the class and did as th professor intructed.She took her wand out and placed it on the desk.Then took a seat in the front of the class.

Andi sighed, facing the class as she perched on her desk. "Cards on the table," she drawled, "I'm trying to stop smoking. I just backslided. Ten points to the next student who spots me trying to climb up to the top of the cupboard in the back of the room and getting at the packet of cigs, got it? It makes me more irritable than I am - though that's not saying much."
Her mouth curled in the corners in a self-derisive smile. Andi snapped her fingers. "Hurry, hurry, wands on the table!" Curtly, she snapped her fingers and the wands flew towards her. Andi's face didn't change as they missed her by barely a centimetre and settled beside her.
"See that?" she said. "That was wandless magic. Also silent - which is necessary if you want to be an Auror in the future. You don't want your opponent to know what spell you're going to use against him or her, do you?"

Tas barely managed to pull her wand out as it was already flying to Mao-Macdougall. She watched her wand with her eyes wide, she was really surprised to see that it was not only her wand that was flying towards the teacher. Quote:

She silently nodded and wondered to herself if she was going to be an Auror.

Kay watched every movement and expression of Professor Mao-Macdougal as she demonstrated wandless magic. She gets that intense look in her eyes like Aunt Luciana does. I hope she won't hex anyone for trying to say a spell verbally,she thought.

"It's going to be much harder without your wands," said Andi. She flicked hair off her forehead, sighing as her body started to shake, almost imperceptibly. Her eyes looked almost black in her face. Andi drew herself up. This was her body, her mind and she was going to win. She picked at the lace on her dress - another of her grandmother's relics. This one was dark mulberry in color with black ribbons and lace edging it. It was tight around her waist which is what happens when you comfort eat. Andi was thinking of trying sugarless gum or something that could be spat out.
"Who can tell me why exactly it'll be harder?"

Before Stasia knew what was going on all the wands where whizzing past her head.It kind of freaked her out at first seeing as she was still wasn;t feeling 100%.Stasia collected her senses for a sec, and realized that todays class was going to be an eye opener.

Kay recalled her aunt lecturing her on the more difficult areas of magic, and raised her hand. "Wandless magic will probably be harder because of the intense concentration of the caster. You must be able to momentarily clear your mind of any distractions while correctly engaging your brain to envision the magic you are about to perform, as well as pronounce the spell correctly in your mind."
