Nadia edged nearer (btw, she didn't vanish all at the same time, just one card after the other relatively fast) Larausia to check on her as she was being addressed. She observed the problem and titled her head. "I looks to me you are missing one of the three D's."

She scratched her head. "I can't tell which, though." She considered it might be a matter of determination, because she was not splinching but leaving it all behind, or a matter of deliberation, because she didn't reach the last stace to finally make the spell work, or of destination, because the object remained in the same place.

"But you are pronuncing alright and the wand movement seems to be OK. Guess just... keep trying." She offered and went back a step near her basquet (which seemly she has now O_o).

"Hhmmm?" Laurasia said while scratching her head. "I think you're right then, I'll just keep trying."

She refocused on the card in front of her. She saw the card next to Nadia in her mind, she knew that it would be in that basket, she insisted to herself that the card would be there after she threw the spell. She knitted her brow a bit as she reinforced the thought that the card would do as she wanted.

"Evanesco!"

The card was gone! It disappeared! She looked up at Nadia as if to ask her whether or not the card was indeed on her side of the room now.

Athena grinned evilly. "Well, I mean yet as in 'I haven't blown anything up on purpose or by accident...type yet.'" She smiled and then turned to the deck of cards. "Okay! Let's see if I can do better with this one," she said.

She pointed her wand at the deck. Remebering its destination she waved her want and said, "Evanesco!" Instantly, the deck appeared diorsectly in fornt of Jenna. "Yes! I did it!" she exclaimed. But then she heard a small pop. Looking at the source of the noise, she saw one card drift down on to the table top a couple of inches over form the deck. "Darn! I thought I had it!" she said, dejectedly.

Kalaya stepped behind a desk opposite from Heshasa and focused on the cards. She pictured them on Heshasa's desk. Closing her eyes in concentration, Kalaya waved her wand and quickly said "Evanesco!" Opening her eyes she was happy to see that the cards were gone, but not so happy when she saw that most were under the desk, 5 were on the desk and one was on Heshasa's shoulder!
Laughing Kalaya said "Well at least they moved! And some made it to the right spot! Your turn!"

Noel peered around the room again. There was not one person who did not have a partner or partners. She sighed and gave up, vanishing her notes and making them reappear, hoping professor McAiken wouldn't mind, she couldn't very well sit there waiting for a partner to magically appear in the room.

Glancing around as she waited for Heshasa to try to send the cards back Kalaya spotted one girl without a partner vanishing her notes.
"Heshasa I'll be right back."
I hope she doesn't mind what I'm about to do. Kalaya thought hesitantly.

Kalaya jogged over to the Slytherin girl and smiled.
"Hello, I'm Kalaya. I noticed you didn't have a partner, and well...I do her name is Heshasa but I figured we could work as a trio. I'm sure the professor won't mind...it'll probably be better than doing, um, what your doing." she said quickly.

Ginny waited to see what happens next.

Kalaya spotted a girl kind of standing around.
Wow, she already finished all the objects and that shelf or box or whatever it was? She's good.

Ginny spotted a Hufflepuff looking at her apparently impressed. Ginny gave her a small smile.

"Thanks.. maybe you can try again." said Violet and smiled.

Ginny tried making a book disappear and reappear. She aimed her wand and said "Evanesco". To her delight, she made the book vanish and reappear at the far end of the classroom.

She turned to Violet and said, "Your turn,"

"ok.." she pointed her wand at her bag and said "Evanesco!" then the bag dissappeared and reappeared in her hand.

"Well done, Violet."

Ginny next tried her bag. She aimed her wand and said "Evanesco". The bag disappeared from near her desk and reappeared by her feet.

"Oh! You were so close!" She summoned the deck of cards towards her, and put the other card back in the pile.

"Okay, neither of us will mess up this time!" She performed the wand movement fluently and said the incantation non-verbally again. She closed her eyes. Work, work, work! A second or two later, she peeked an eye open, and saw that the table was empty. She slowly looked up at Athena. Right in front of her was the deck of cards, all in one piece.

"Yes!" She smiled. "Now you try! I know you'll do it this time!" Jenna said encouragingly.

"Good work, now let's move to the boxes. You will find moving the object through a solid wall more difficult, yet very handy. You will can vanish a letter you don't want your dorm mate to see by putting in your trunk without opening it. Precission is important." McAiken stated. "Just set the box on your desk and work by yourself on this section of the practice."

"Lee, and Patrick if you collect the baskets and the deck of cards please." With a wave of his wand the deskes moved back into their normal positions and chairs followed them."

Jenna listened to the Professor's instructions. When he finished, she turned to Athena.

"Well, nevermind I guess!" She gathered her things. "Sorry. Hope to see you around again!" She waved and walked back to her desk where a small box had been placed. Jenna pondered what to try and vanish first, and decided parchment would be the best choice again.

"Okay." She decided to try this spell verbally. Professor McAiken said it was more difficult to vanish through a solid object. She concentrated on the parchment before turning to the box. To help even further, she tried to picture the inside of the box.

"Evanesco!" She watched as the parchment tore itself in two. One hald dissappeared and the other remained. She opened the box. There was the ripped half. With a flick of her wand, the parchment repaired itself, and floated back onto the desk. Concentrate..concentrate..

"Evanesco!" This time, she forced all her thoughts on picutring the parchment appearing in the box. She waited a moment. Suddenly, there was a pop and the parchment vanished. She quickly opened the box and, to her great surprise, there was the parchment. She smiled and tried again. This time, the piece vanished even faster.

"I'll try non-verbally this time." She murmered to herself. After saying the incantation silently, the parchment repeated it's very first attempt, and ripped itself in half. Sighing, Jenna repaired the parchment and continued working on her non-verbal attempts.

Noel sprung out of her thoughts, "Oh um sure. My name's Noel," she stood up and walked toward the girl and her partner, where they continued to practice (ooc: hope you don't mind if I fill in the rpg gaps here) Hearing the professor's new assignment she thanked the girls and walked back to her seat and continued practicing alone with the box.

Ginny returned to her desk where there was now a box. She thought for a moment and decided to vanish two bits of parchment. She concentrated really hard and aimed her wand at the parchment. "Evanesco", she said. In a few moments the parchment vanished. She looked in the box and there they were. Ginyn was stunning but very happy.

Hearing the professor's new instructions, Laurasia shrugged towards Nadia & headed back to her desk to practice. "Through a box?!" she thought to herself. "I just learned how to make the object move! Now I have to try doing it through something?" She let out a sigh.

She sat a piece of parchment on her desk next to the box. She focused her concentration on it & stated the incantation "Evanesco!" She let out a long sigh. Just as she feared...nothing.

Heshasa sighed, I can hardly move it let alone move it through something. Shrugging and pulling her wand out again. I hope to see you around Kayla she said with a smile. Waving goodbye she set herself in front of a box and stared at her parchmant. She loved spells that required hard concetration, but this was hardeer than she was used to. Staring at it and picturing it in the box in her head so vidily she opened her eyes to make sure it wasn't real. Concentrating with all her might she said with force, "Evanesco!" She opened her eyes to see that the paper had moved but it was sitting on the top of the box. Giggling she took it off...

Replacing the parchmant in front of her she sighed and replaxed herself, allowing her head to clear. She then quickly put an image of the peice of parchmant in a box at the front of her mind. Once again she said with force "Evanesco!" this time the paper went into the box exactly how she ahd wanted it to. A wide smile spread across her face. Clapping silently, she retrived the paper and continued to practice the spell.

Athena said good bye to Jenna as she gathered her things. Before she left, she asked, "Do you want to meet in the Great Hall later?" she asked. "I may be talking with my sister, but feel free to interrupt!" she smiled. She then gathered up her own things and went back to her seat.

She studied the box, first. "We were told to think about destination," she whispered to herself. "So, I have to know where the destination is and what it looks like in order to do that!" Finished, she put the box down and brought out her piece of parchment.

She concentrated hard and said the incantation "Evanesco!" She held her breath as she heard a small 'pop'. Releasing it, she looked in the box. There was nothing in there! Looking around, she saw that the parchment was an inch behind the box. "No! I thought I had it!" she said, exasperated.

She brought the parchment back to its previous spot with a wave of her wand. Again she tried the spell. "Evanesco!" she said as she focused on where the parchment had to go. Hearing a small 'pop', she looked around. Before opening the box, she checked around the outside. Nothing. Hardly daring to look, but excited at the same time, she checked inside the box. "I did it!" she whispered as she pulled the parchment out of the box, in one piece.

She put the parchment down in its original spot and repeated the spell.

Jenna looked over her shoulder after her third failed attempt to make the parchment appear inside the box.

"Sure! I'll meet you there!" She smiled and turned back to her box. She mustered up all the determination she could and took a deep breath. She was gripping her wand so tightly, her knuckles were white. Exhaling slowly, she aimed her wand and closed her eyes.

EVANESCO! She almost screamed inside her head. The parchment was gone. Jenna grabbed the box and almost ripped the lid open. There, lying neatly in the center, was her faded peice of parchment.

"Yes! Yes, yes, yes!" She beamed from ear to ear. She realized she had been a tad loud and blushed slightly. Calm down, weirdo!. She blinked. I just called myself a weirdo. Jenna raised an eyebrow and set up teh box to try again.

Evaneco! She said it much calmer and kept her eyes open. She watched as the parchment dissappeared and reappeared inside the box.

"Now I'm getting the hang of it!"

Athena, hearing Jenna's response smiled over at her.
She turned back to her own box and repeated the spell, making sure she had everything down.

When she heard Jenna's exclaimation she turned to her and smiled. "Awesome!" she whispered, so that she wouldn't disturb anyone. "I think I've gotten it down too! Congrats!"

Athena then turned back to her own box. She, again, focused on the piece of parchment and muttered "Evanesco". She had gotten into the same calm state of mind and location in her head. Once again, she heard the small 'pop' and the parchment was in the box. "Yes!" she whispered. Then continued to practice.

Violet returned to her table where there was box. She pointed her wand at the textbook and said "Evanesco!" the text dissappeared and she carefully opened the box to see a textbook and there was! "yay I did it."

Kalaya smiled and said goodbye to her partners. She walked over to her desk where there was a box. She closed her eyes and pictured the parchment in the box. "Evanesco!" Kalaya said quietly. She opened her eyes and saw the parchment was gone. She opened the box, but to her dispair it wasn't there either.
Where'd it go? Kalaya thought. Standing up she examined the desk and spotted the parchment, it was blending into the lid! Smiling Kalaya grabbed the paper and tried again. After some more tries she finally got it. Smiling broadly Kalaya pulled out another thing that was sure to be harder.
