Jessica, content and happy with her previous bubble, which was thick and lasted a time longer than the others, decided to advance to the tank. "Finite incantatem" she happily cried out and took a few steps towards the front of the room.

When she was half way across the room, she stopped in her tracks. She was getting second thoughs. afraid that she couldn't do the charm while the professor was watching, she performed it twice more before heading forward. "Um, Professor Zoa, i think i'm ready to test my bubble under water." She said smiling, confident that her charm would be some-what acceptable. When the student before her had finished, she stepped up and did the charm once more. The bubble was small, and was just as thick as her previous ones.

Taking a deep breath she lowered her head towards the water. On contact with the water, the bubble popped and her face was splashed with water. Recoiling in shock, she stepped down from the tank and wiped her face with her sleeve. "oops"

After several tries at the spell, verbally then non-verbally, Jaren decided that his last Bubblehead charm was quite solid, though it felt that, if it were glass, it was a bit thin. He made his way to the front and to the tank to test it out along with a few others.

"Professor--" he paused momentarily to register the echo of his words in the bubble, but the bubble didn't pop. "Is the charm supposed to create a hard or flexible surface?"

"Sanuspirantes" Jessica said, poinbting her wand at her head. Something appeared at once. Her vision was a bit blurred, but after a second or so it started to grow clearer, although still slightly blurred.
"Finite Incantatem," she said, pointing her wand a bit above her head. The bubble disappeared. She tried the charm once again; everything was perfectly clear this time. She was getting the hang of it. After performing the charm once more, she could do perfectly well.
"Cool," she thought as she said, "Finite Incantatem" once more.

Noel pointed her wand at her head, Here goes nothing, "Sanuspirantes," she said. Her wand gave off a few turquoise sparks. She blew some of the lint off of the tip and tried again. The charm worked. It was really awkward and it blurred her vision but it worked. "Finite Incantatem!" she commanded. The bubble disappeared. She continued to practice, not trusting the bubble enough to sustain her under water.

Jessica felt confident enough to try the spell underwater. She could, by now, do it splendidly.
"Professor," she said politely, walking over to Professor Kate. "May I have a go, please?" She waited for the Professor to reply.

Athena finished writing her notes. She picked up her wand and pointed it at her head. "Sanuspirantes" she said. Instantly, a bubble appeared around her head. As she began to see if she could breathe, the bubble popped! "Grrr!" she said, exasperated. Once again she tried the spell. "Sanuspirantes!" Again, the bubble appeared around her head. Athena breathed deeply, and the bubble didn't pop. She tried moving her head in various directions as well. Once she was done her testing of her bubble she said the counter-"Finite Incantatem!" The bubble disappeared. Athena walked over to the tank of water to test her spell.

"Of course you may, dear. But before you do, I suggest you test the durability of your bubble by trying to pop it by hand. If you can, then it is not strong enough to go under water yet."

"It's supposed to be fairly flexable, but resilient also. It might feel frail, but if you give it a sharp poke with your finger, a properly done Bubblehead charm won't break. Go ahead and give it a try. If your bubble proves durable, you can go ahead and be next in the tank."


"If you feel confident in your bubble, then you maybe go ahead."

Nadia finished coughing out the water, too frustrated and more worried about getting drown to blush, but surely feeling a bit hot over the cheeks a bit. But the look of Erica's small accident, or Jessica's similar error, could make her feel a bit less dumb.

With the professor's last tip in mind, Nadia finished drying her hair manually like it was some clothes, and tried again finally. At least not she could feel aired... watered, er, no. She tried again another time, and as the bubble appeared on her head, Nadia left the wand in the desk and from both sides, poked a finger to try explode it.

The bubble blended over, then went round as Nadia released it from the pressure. She poked the bubble again, going a bit further, making it look Nadia's head was trapped in a transparent jar, before innevitably busting. She jumped a bit at the small 'pop' noise.

Nadia tried again, "Sanuspirantes!" and then tried the resistance of the bubble. This one didn't even last a second try. The fingers had barely caresed the bubble before it bursted in her face. Another try and this one looked good enough. When she couldn't try to pierce it any more, she tried to punch it, and though she didn't manage to look ridiculous enough as hitting herself, she felt her head pushed to the side and the bubble moving like jello around her.

Why couldn't she perform a hard bubble?! Well, maybe she wouldn't want to, it might be too heavy. She Finited this bubble too, sure not to try the tank until sure of her abilities. Besides, she needed to hear clearly the answer to her question.

"Professor, how do we make a larger bubble, to cover all of our body, for example?" she asked with her hand raised, pretty sure it could be done.

Ginny after taking thorought notes and concidering running for it having seen many students successfully perform the charm finally decided to try figuring what's the worst I can do? She closed her eyes and quietly and unsure of the correct pronunciation said "Sanuspirates" at that moment a dark colored bubble encased her head she opened her eyes and began to panic not daring to breath she quickly grabed her quill and poked at the bubble popping it.
She listened closely to the other students and regained her nerve. "Sanuspirantes" she said and another bubble encased her head although this time it was clear and so she breathed in a lung full of the cleanest are she had ever felt. Wondering exactly how resilient her bubble was she poked at it a couple of times and since it didn't pop she decided that she would try out the water tank.
She started to walk up to get into line when she triped over a desk she had not seen through the distortion of the bubble around her head

Jaren gave his bubble a tentative prod which made it wobble slightly, but it held. Considering it to be a fairly good sign that the charm was operational, he made his way over to the tank and stuck his head under the water.



His Bubblehead charm held for several seconds, but popped as he was pulling his head out of the water, leaving him no drier than the people who had tried before him.

Heshasa once again pointed her wand at her head and thought "Sanuspirates!" Once again the bubble appeared, she stowed ehr wand inside her robes and attempted to pop her bubble. It bent slightly under the pressure but did not pop excited she walked over to the tank.

She felt slightly nervous, she did not want to end up with a mouth full of water. Shakily she climbed the ladder, poking her bubble one more time she stuck her head into the water. To her surprise it held. But as she was pulling her head out, like the Slytherin before her it popped leaving her soaking wet. Sputtering and coughing as water rushed into her mouth she whipped her head out. She climbed down the ladder. She gave a imaptient moan shaking her head to rid her long hair of most of her water sprinkling a few nearer people with droplets of water. Alothough it didn't make much a difference half of them were as wet as her she apologized and went to sit down to figure out what she did wrong.......


Once her hair had dried a bit Heshasa decided that her spell may be stronger if she said it aloud and tried it with water. She said very clearly "Sanuspirates!" Once again a bubble appeared she prodded it with her wand making sure it was storng. Once again she climbed the ladder and looked into the water. She took a deep breath and plunged her head into the water once more. She once again felt a wonderful sensation, she was very cool and opening her eyes she saw the tank around her she was breathing slowly and easily. Smiling she pulled her head out and it didn't pop! Pointing her wand at her head again she thought "Finite Incantatem!" the bubble disappeared at she felt her head which was dry aside from the dampness from before. Smiling she continued to practice without the water.

Jessica nodded. "Yes, Professor, I think I might be able to do it," she said, a little nervously. Slowly, she edged towards the ladder. Reaching the top, she muttered "Sanuspirantes!" and popped her head inside the water.
She didn't choke or have any difficulty breathing. It was quite a wonderful sensation. She looked around, her vision as clear as possible, and then - her bubble popped. She pulled her head out of the tank, her vivid red hair drenched in water. She shook her hair, and tried again.
This time it was a lot better than before. The bubble held and when she at last poked her head out of the tank, she she was getting almost excellent with the spell. She muttered "Finite Incantatem" and the bubble disappeared. Then she tried to do the spell non-verbally, out of the water. It didn't work the first few times. Then the bubble appeared.
"About time," she thought as she muttered "Finite Incantatem" once more. After several more tries, she tried to do it underwater. It worked perfectly - for a minute at least... But after some time, she was getting on splendidly.

Kate thought for a moment before answering. "Well, that would be a different spell, I suppose. This one is specifically to give the caster an unlimited air supply around their head. I assume there is a spell that would create a bubble around a person's whole body, but I've honsestly never seen it done. If your very interested, I could try to locate it in one of my books" Kate offered with an apologetic shrug.

Nadia nodded. "It's ok, professor," she said. "I guess I can do my own reading at the Library later." She had problem at the end of the sentense to stop from snickering at the sight coming from the tank area and tried to desguise it as a cough. Always handy, a good way to hide with your hand the unrestrainable grin.

Hesasha was next and Nadia had to give her back to her. Bad move because she got soaked again when the girl pulled her hair from the tank and Nadia was victim of it. Going back to the drying step, once done, she actually tried the spell again. And she hopped she hadn't forgot how it was done. The magic words and--

Half her head was covered by the bubble, making it hard to groan with half her lips trapped in that barrier...

Kalaya cleared her mind and pointed her wand at her head.
She clearly thought Sanuspirantes!
Nothing happened. Kalaya was a little disappointed, but not surprised. She was still getting used to nonverbal spells. Instead she tried the spell verbaly again.

"Sanuspirantes!" she muttered. Then seeing a bubble had formed again and she was breathing easily she cautiously lifted a finger towards the bubble. She poked it and nothing happened. She tried it again, this time pushing farther into the bubble, when *pop* her bubble popped.
A little disappointed Kalaya frowned.

At least I didn't try to do it in the water and have it pop...

Having already tested her bubble successfully in the tank, Laurasia sat at her desk experimenting with the spell. She was seeing if she could change the density & possibly color of the bubble that enclosed her head. She was able to make a couple that were rather flimsy & one that was very touch indeed. She couldn't even wiggle it with her wand. Though changing the color of the bubble wasn't such an easy feat.

Nadia tried unsuccessfully to make the misplaced bubble poof, proded it but she was unlucky to have produced her strongest bubble so far in the middle of her face. She tried the counter incantation as many times and failed because of not being able to articulate with her lips trapped. Though she might have some close a couple of times while mouthing it though the corner of her mouth.

It was much later in the working hour, a number of twelve or so tries without any good results, that it dawn on her to try non-verbal Finite Incantatum. Melin, she was even supposed to! And she was a seventh year, one would supposse... well, Nadia finally got to explode her silly bubble from her face and went back to the real practice.

A bit later she had produced a fairly elastic, non-explodable, pressure-resistant, transparent-looking and seemly efficient bubble with which she could feel comforable enough. Half her hair was not inside the bubble, which would make it a bit complicate in actual practice, and that also meant Nadia had to dive in the tank her head as much. For extra ressurance, she tied her loose hair up, hoping it would stop it from getting wet or at the bubble blocking her sight... for some reason... then tried to submerge.

She had only one problem. With her head full of hair (pardon the pun) the bubble would float instead of sink and Nadia had to try hard to sink her head. Which, didn't look too good to say the least.

Jaren produced another Bubblehead charm and prodded it slightly to test its resiliance before submerging his head into the tank again. This time, the bubble held even when he pulled his head out of the water. Casting Finite, he tried to perform the same charm non-verbally.

Kalaya concentrated and said Sanuspirantes.
Another bubble formed and she prodded it. Nothing happened. She poked it like she had last time when it popped, and nothing happened! She then tried to poke it harder. Still it didn't pop. Smiling, Kalaya performed Finite, causing the bubble to disappear.

Christa had been trying the spell for awile, and still couldn't get it right. "Sanuspirantes!" she said, pointing at her own head. A bubble formed. "Yay!" Christa muttered. She poked the bubble with her index finger.
Pop!
"Oh, darn it!" she said, maybe a little too loud. She ignored it, and tried again.

Jessica produced another bubble and prodded it with her wand to test it. It held for some seconds but then it popped. The next try was more fruitful. It held for a longer time. She worked on it for some time until it was quite good.

Cecil poked his head into the Charms classroom and quietly made his way to the back row of seats. He sat down, and looked intrigued by the class, smiling the whole time.

Xavier notices a man walk into the room that he didn't notice. He seemed to be smiling. That made him feel more comfortable in the room but Xavier had been wary of strangers ever since the 'death eater' incident of the previous year. Professor Zoa hadn't reacted, so perhaps he was a guest speaker. He continues on with his work.

Kalaya noticed someone quietly walk in, but he didn't seem to want to be noticed so she ignored him.
Once again Kalaya cleared her mind and quietley said "Sanuspirantes."
Another bubble formed around her head and she smiled. Carefully Kalaya started poking it with her wand to test if it would pop or not.

Noel diverted her attention to the man who had just entered the room and started watching them. Her expression went dark and she eyed the man with distaste, the last time that had happened Hogwarts had been taken over by the ministry. she continued to practice, watching him out of the corner of her eye.
