Pacilla blinked when Jen shot the spell and when she didn't feel any happier straight away, she was going to say something about the spell not working but then all of a sudden her spirits seemed to have lifted and she felt more refreshed and happier. She smiled, "Wow, cool, you did good Jen!" She paused, "Mind if I try next? We could take turns until Professor Kate tells us to stop, if you like." She waited for a reply before, still smiling, she waited for Jen to calm and pointed her wand and chanted "Gaudeo!" Then she waited to see if Jen felt at least a tad happier.

Jen was slightly surprised when Pacilla said her spell had worked. She nodded and waited for her to cast the spell in return.
When Pacilla cast the spell, Jen didn't feel much different. After a second, she could feel herself beginning to smile. As soon as she realized this though her smile began to fade.
"I think you've almost got it. I definitely felt something," she said to Pacilla. "Why don't you try it again?" she suggested.

Ozzy looked at Nadia when she called the Professor over, the grin as wide as ever still playing across his lips. "I think the spell is working over time on me." He said through a fit of laughter. He summoned up all his self controll and took a few deep breaths. "I think I'm ok now." He said rather seriously when the laughter subsided. "Are you ready?" He asked Nadia in the same serious tone as before. "Gaudeo!" He said once with out his wand to make sure he was saying it right. He held his wand at the ready, and waited for her answer.

And hoped it might be better, or at least not worse.

Patrick and his partner continued to practice as instructed. Taking turns they performed the cheering charm and then ended it. Patrick enjoyed practicing his charms. His work the animal hospital was giving him loads of practice with certains charms and spell. He glanced at the special watch his parents had brought him. Muggle digital watches or battery watch didn't work at Hogwarts. Nope, just old fashions mechical one that you had to remember to wind each morning.

Though Heshasa did not have a partener she would practice on herself she needed cheering up. Pointing her wand at herself she wispered "Gaudeo." She imediatly felt cheerful and looked up to see if anyone else did not have a partener. So amny people were pairred up she couldn't tell so she simply sat casting the spell at herself. if someone did not have a partener they hopefully would ask her.

Jenna sighed. She was left utterly partner-less.
Well, now I do need cheering up.
"Gaudeo!" She pointed her wand at herself, and immediately felt her minor sadness lift from her. She started giggling. It felt as though all of her thoughts of being left by herself just screamed "who the heck cares?!" She kept laughing, hoping the spell would last the rest of the day. Just as she thought this however, she felt it's effects wearing off.
"Aw, darn!" She said the incantation again, and began giggling immediately.

Professor Zoa continued to walk around the room, occasionally stopping to watch a student preform the charm. Everyone seemed to be getting the hang of it pretty quickly, but there was still time left in the lesson. "Everyone is doing well. If you feel up to a challenge, you may now try the charms without the incantion to see if you can get it. Don't be too disappointed if you can't, it is very hard to do."
