Padded Cells The Asylum's padded cells marked innovation from the staff of the 'hospital'. Patients were set up in this 10 by 10 feet rooms, more for their protection than their harm...and yes, gruesome tragedies did occur in these small spaces until the Asylum was disbanded. For the department's uses, these 'cells' have undergone a transformation, and will act as headquarters for the Magical Inventors and Magical Architects. |
Anyone who wants to join in on some ghost hunting shenanigans! Bradley knew he had sounded a little crazy when he asked about ghost hunting. But come on. This place was just screaming haunted...even if Anthony said that it wasn't. That strange singing along with all of the other strange things he'd been hearing around this place were definite signs of that. So here he was, on his break, exploring the padded cells. It seemed the architects and inventors were out. Which made sense. It was lunch time and all that. Heck, Brad had practically scarfed his food just so he could explore for a bit. Sadly, he also had a really cheesy EMF detector. His sister had heard about the new work place and sent it to him as a joke. He didn't think it actually worked, but hey. It completed his look. |

Jamie walked into the padded room, he had a bag of salt in his pocket, some holy water in his back pocket. a flashlight in his right hand and an EMF reader in his left. Jamie just walked along some creepy corridor that led to a bunch of padded cells. HOW AWESOME WAS THIS? YEAH? Jamie for some stupid reason had his iPod in his pocket and one earbud in his right ear. Brad was inspecting the EMF when he heard someone else come in the room. He was a little sad it wasn't a ghost making all that ruckus, but it was Athena so that was good enough too. "Hey Athena." Woohoo for ghost hunting buddies. He looked down at the device. "Yeah. My sister sent it to me." She was definitely into all that crazy stuff. Brad wasn't able to say anymore when Jamie bursted in singing and dancing. The look on the older man's face was priceless once he realized that he wasn't alone. Brad just laughed. "Don't stop on our account." He pointed to his shirt before he started to sing where Jamie had left off. "If it's something weird and it don't look good. Who you gonna call?" He looked expectantly at the other two. Come on. This was meant to be fun. |
What was going on!?!? Athena stared at Jamie as he came bopping into the room with songs about ghostbusting and all and slowly let her wide eyes shift to Brad as he continued the song after Jamie nearly died from embarrassment and she was holding in her laughter as much as she could she was trying, and she was failing. Being glad they were in a padded room, Athena let her body fall back against the wall as the laughter came spilling out of her mouth as the song amused her oh so so much. "No no...keep going!" she said with hand motions to the men, this was great, though she was sure if there were any ghosts in this room they were gone now, terrified of them and their ghostbusting ways. She might of also been on the floor by now, still laughing away |

"Party poopers." Brad was a little sad when no one joined in the singing with him. Especially since Jamie HAD already been singing the song. He looked over at Athena, eyebrow raised as she leaned against the wall. "You okay there? Do I need to get something to help you breath?" Because that much laughter had to make it difficult to breath. Even just a bit. Oh and what was that Jamie? Yep. Bradley definitely noticed the long looks at one of his closest friends. A little light bulb definitely went off in his head. He could see it. Yep. Those two would work nicely together. "Hey Jamie." He gave the man a big wide grin, his previous thoughts still running through head. Now how would he do this... ...anyways. "You all ready to find some ghosts?" Brad waved around his EMF detector. |
It took both Ferris' mother and brother to drag the inventor out of his bed to get him to work that morning. Ever since the ministry had cause to move their offices to a um, well, you see, abandoned asylum he had considered never coming out of his Mum's basement ever again to do anything. This unbelievable set of circumstances was proof that Ferris was not to ever mix with human beings. Perhaps he was human biologically, but be was incapable of socially performing with the rest of his species. Mostly due to anxiety. Yet, by some miracle or the actual sheer force of his mother's arm pushing him to work he was in the creepy, creaky padded cell to start the work day. The inventor could not take three steps without squeaking or planking on the floor to try and avoid an incoming attacker. Or ghost. Or ghost attacker. He wanted to go home to his damp basement where no one could harm him. After a few hours of nonsense running away from dust particles and other things that looked potentially dangerous, Ferris settled into his work mode and pushed the bridge of his glasses into his face with the flat of his palm and began. Anthony said he wanted ghost detection things and, with a little elbow grease, Ferris knew he could make a whole array of things that would be helpful in the current situation. Also, be wanted his own set of things for protection against whatever was here. His flimsy, little arms were not going to cut it. |

Taking her glasses off the top of her head she put them on her face, she really only needed them for reading but she'd rather not lose them while exploring.. or saving Jamie from spirits so on her face they went since she didn't want to leave them at either of her desks and have them go missing, like most things now a days did. Merlin, she loved her job and the people she worked with, she didnt do things like this at her....... previous job.. Ahem. That information was classified and she wasnt going into thinking about all of that which she needed too, after she left here for the day... later.. Right, Ghost Hunting, she was ready, ready to pick these lost restless spirits out of hiding and out to speak with them and tell them to leave her stuff ALONE! she didnt mind them there at all, she welcomed them even but they couldnt touch her stuff and if they did they needed to at least put it back where they got it at least. "Yes, ready!" she was ready but was Jamie, was he ok? Why was he looking at her like that.. "Jamie..?" she snapped her fingers by his face, was he here? Come back to earth Jamie! SPOILER!!: athena & jamie Bradley nodded at Athena's thumbs up. Good. His friend wasn't going to die of laughter. That would be terrible. He was still grinning like an idiot when he noticed that Jamie was zoned out staring at Athena. He knew exactly what Mr. Carmichael was thinking. And now his brain was whirling even more. This would be the perfect opportunity to push these two together. Brad hoped neither one could tell what he was thinking right now. Brad didn't understand the brow raise from Jamie. What? He was just asking a friend if she was okay? Anyways...they both said they were ready. "Okay. So I figured we can do an EMF sweep and go from there." Because that was really as far as he'd thought it through. "Of course we'll have to check multiple cells so we should split up. And Athena you'll have to team up with Jamie or myself since you don't have a reader." He tried to emphasize the fact that she should go with Jamie, without drawing to much attention to that. |
Welcome back Jamie! Athena couldnt help but grin at him as he blinked and came back to it all. They needed go al be all there seeing as how they were Ghost!Huntinh and they needed all the eyes they could use... and ears plus one of them could go missing or something. She was just about to bring up the fact that they should stick together when Brad.... dumb Brad brought up splitting up...."Split up?!" that wasnt the smartest idea in her opinion especially when one would be alone. "what if something were to happen? I cant save both of you if we're apart." yes, yes she did just go there, it was obvious to her shed be doing the protecting..... of both of them.... she just claimed that role. Jamie would probably jump into her arms and Brad might coward in the corner and Athena..... would have such nice glorious black mail stories.... oh yes... There was mental cackling happening as she tucked a stay piece of hair behind her ear and underher glasses. "But if we have to split up, which im against completely by the way, i dont care who i go with." either way would be great stories. |
She was curious about what these people were doing. The two men had strange gadgets and she recognized the pretty lady. And they were singing. She looooved singing. Maybe these adults could be friendly and not like the others that were always scared of her. Maybe she'd be able to show herself. But not yet. She didn't want them to run away like all the others. She stayed hidden and just watched. |

Jamie wasn't a fan of people sneaking up on him BUT Jamie isn't one for surprises. Speaking of surprises his birthday was coming up in a few weeks. Brad wasn't defenseless. "But I don't speak for Jamie. Do you need her to protect you?" He looked over at the other guy. He highly doubted Jamie needed protecting either. He was trying to prove a point here. He was going to say something else about the whole splitting up thing, when his EMF reader started going crazy. "Either this thing is busted or it works and there's a ghost here." Which he would actually be pretty shocked if his sister had sent him a working EMF reader. |
