The Secret Garden

This is an RP between Archer Burton (Jessiqua) and Gabby Burton (WhittyBitty). They met and instantly fell for each other. Adventure seekers, and Slytherins, they packed themselves up in Archer’s magical tent, and together, travelled the world.

Along the way, they made two beautiful girls; Valeria and Liana

Scene List
Scene One; after meeting in the Leaky Cauldron, and Archer having invited the beautiful Gabby to a beach in Brazil, the two decided to meet up again in two weeks time, and travel to Brazil. Archer brings his tent, and Gabby brings her glorious self.
Scene Two; from Brazil to France, from the fun first time meeting, to the serious conversations they needed. Gabby tells Archer about her past.
Scene Three; While visiting family, Gabby and Archer make a baby discovery.
Scene Four; Back in England, in their tent, Lynley (Gabby's boss and friend) comes over to meet little Valeria.
Scene Five; Gabby and Archer have Dimitri and Alana Burton over for dinner, in their tent - England.
Scene Six; The Burtons are at home in the tent, and Valeria starts to walk!
Scene Seven; Zhenya visits Gabby!

"You'll both make wonderful parents,'' Alana chirped, arriving back just in time to hear that bit of Archer's and Gabby's conversation. All Burton adults were great parents so why wouldn't Gabby be? She and Archer would care for the little one perfectly. Alana waited until Gabby went to take the test before whispering to Archer. "Do you plan on marrying her soon?"

Then Gabby was back. Lana practically held her breath for the big reveal and when it came... "Congratulations to both of you!'' She gave a little dance before rushing to hug the to-be- parents. Another Burton baby! She was beyond thrilled!

Archer held Gabby's hands inside his own. "Of course you will!" He smiled. Though of course he didn't KNOW if she was pregnant yet. He hoped, of course. But still, there was this.. this test thing that she had to do.

He found himself pacing around the living area whilst Gabby went to do what she had to do. He was worried if it WASN'T true. Had they both just gotten their hopes up? But Gabby was feeling sick, and he wasn't. Surely if she was sick for some other reason, he would be too. Seeing as they rarely left each other's side.

And then she was back.

And definitely pregnant.

It took him a few moments to SHOW any reaction. He stood there, the previous expression glued to his face. His mind was buzzing.

He was going to be a father.

And Gabby was going to me a MOTHER!

Slowly, his face broke into an ecstatic grin. "We're going to have a child!" He said, and then Lana was dancing and hugging them. He even LIFTED her up and spun her around, that was how happy he was. He placed Lana back on the ground and turned to Gabby. "We are going to do this together. We will... we will learn how to be the best parents we can." He smiled at her and dipped her, right then and there, giving her a BIG kiss on her lips. "I love you, Gabriella."

Lisabel let out a happy sigh of relief. She was going to be an AUNTIE again! This time from her husband's side of the family. She got up to give the couple congratulatory rubs of the shoulder, and stood back so that they could have their moment.

"Well, it looks as if we are about to welcome another Burton Baby," she smiled warmly. Her grandchildren meant the WORLD to her. And now the family were going to be blessed with another addition.

Numb, Gabby made her way towards the others.

Her mind was buzzing and she was having a hard time processing everything. They were going to have a baby. They were going to be parents to a child they had made together. It wasn't until she saw how excited Archer was that her mind cleared and she was filled with extreme happiness. "I can't believe it," she said as she hugged Alana and Lisabel. Laughing as Archer dipped her, she kissed him back. "I love you too, Archer. There is no one else who I would ever want to have a family with." She loved him so much.

There was going to be a BABY soon.

The next thing Alana knew was that she was being hoisted in the middle of her dance. "Archer, you naughty boy,'' she laughed happily. It made her even more happy to see that he was so pleased with the news. She was going to get dizzy with this spinning! No, she wasn't. No one had time to be dizzy when there was another reason to celebrate! She pinched Archer's cheeks when he sat her down. Then she was hugging both Gabby and Lisabel. There was so much happiness in the family today!

"Lisabel, I think we'd better let these two have some privacy.'' Lana giggled at the sight of the lovebirds. They were terribly cute and they just melted her heart. "We should get back to the party. I will talk to you soon, Gabby, Archer.'' She waved and left. She would definitely be checking in with Gabby ever so often.

Scene Four: England; Tent - Lynley visits the new parents

So Lynley was here at the stupid tent home that the Burton's had decided was a decent enough for the both of them plus the newest tiny edition to their family...the baby. Lynley wanted to stop by, be supportive, give a gift...or five ~~who was counting?~~.

If she was lucky, Archer wouldn't be home. But he probably was...so. Yeah. She better get that out of her head.

Was she supposed to knock...???

There was much confusion. So Lynley went with shooting a patronus into the tent to announce her arrival. Hopefully they'd answer the door soon because Lynley was getting tired of being outside.

Archer was smitten. SMITTEN. A beautiful wife, and now a beautiful daughter. The grin had been plastered on his face since her perfect ten toe, ten finger arrival. It was all he could do, for the time being. Looking at his daughter, smelling her baby scented little head, and being right where he needed to be; by his wife's side.

Archer was busy doing that, looking at his beautiful daughter in her beautiful mother's arms, when a patronus came in. Archer walked to the flap of the tent and opened it, the grin still large on his face. "Auntie Lynley, good to see you! Do you want to come in and meet our Valeria?" he asked. He was too happy for anything else. A man on top of the world could not spare a brain cell for grudges. Nope. He even almost gave her a hug! Almost.

Valeria had just recently fed and was now grasping Gabby's finger in her tiny hand.

Gabby couldn't look away from her except when it was to look at her husband. She was so happy and full of love that she thought she might burst. A permanent grin on her face, she bent down and kissed Valeria's head. Her little strawberry dress and red head bow looked amazing on her; as if she could look less than perfect. Their baby was slaying already and she was only a couple days old. She had slayed since birth.

At the arrival of a patronus, she knew exactly who had come. Gabby hadn't been sure if Lynley would visit or not considering the fact that they lived in a tent and there was a baby involved. Despite the fact that they had the best child in the world Lynley didn't share the love. Well, she would now because how could she not fall in love with Valeria? Impossible.

SMOOCH. Another head kiss as she waited for her friend to come in.

Pfft.

Archer answered.

Lynley merely snorted. "Aunt Lynley will do, I assure you," she said, only a little grumpily, but not nearly as snappish as her usual tone. "And obviously I do, Archer, why else would I be here? To admire your charming tent?" she said sarcastically, brushing past him. But she did pat him on the back, and add, "Congrats," and gave him a very small...pained half-smile thing.

AhEM.

"Gabby?" she peeked around. "Where is the mother and where is the baby? I have gifts," she told Archer, holding up three bags. "For baby and mama." Because Gabby had just birthed a SMALL HUMAN into the world. She deserved gifts as well! "Unfortunately, nothing for you this time around," More sarcasm, but again, less snappish than usual.

Aoife could scarcely tear her eyes from the foirfeacht that nestled in Gabby's arms. From her position behind the equally beautiful mother and her infatuated-son, Aoife smiled lovingly down at the lómhara Valeria, besotted by the little girl.

Her loving-gaze only faltered momentarily when the ~~door~~ flap of the ~~house~~ tent rippled, admitting an eerie-looking Jellyfish-patronus. Archer seemed to know whom it belonged to, seeing as he seemed to be talking with the chuairteoirí with some sort of familiarity. Aoife heard the words 'Auntie Lynley' and immediately realized who it was. Lynley Purcell, someone who Aoife knew Archer shared an. . . erm, less than pleasurable relationship with.

Aoife smiled warmly at the woman when Archer let her in, leaving Gabby's side to greet their guest. "Ya must be Lynley! Archer 'n Gabby 'ave been tellin' me all abouch ya." she told the woman with a grin, "Ha-ware-ya, dear?"

Ushering their chuairteoirí further into the tent, Aoife led her straight to Gabby and the beautiful Valeria, smiling softly at the mother. Aoife left them be, turning back towards where Archer stood. "I thought she was the one that apposed the pregnancy and your marriage?" She whispered to him in Gaeilge, smiling slightly as she saw that the woman bore gifts for Leria and Gabby.

Lynley's sass was only making Archer smile more. He was ecstatic. "Well you might be surprised, do you like books? We have a library! Or... what do you like?" he asked. Fashion? "Gabby should show you her wardrobe sometime. Nothing shabby about that," he said with a wink. Nothing shabby at all. He even put his arm around her when she said thanks. "Thanks Lynley, wait until you see her. She'll melt your heart," yes even her cold heart. But really, it was good to see her here. He wanted to show off his daughter, and have people there to see Gabby. He laughed "It's okay, maybe you can splurge for my birthday then."

And there was his mother, Aoife. "This is Aoife, my mother," he said in introduction. Though the woman was not his biological mother, he couldn't actually remember anything about that woman. Aoife, for all intents and purposes, was his mother. He nodded at her as she spoke in their Irish language. "That would be the one," he said in reply. He shrugged "She and Gabby get along somehow..."

Ah, there she was.

Gabby was happy to see her friend. This was their first meeting since she had gone on maternity leave and there were presents for her as well as Valeria. They would be spectacular knowing Lynley. "I'm so glad you came. Yes, you should see my wardrobe!" Archer was right about that; her clothes were spectacular and she had gotten them from all around the world - well, at least the places they had been to so far. There would be a lot more later on. It was more important to meet Valeria anyway. "Do you want to hold her?" Since Lynley was an aunt she should know how to hold a baby. Right? She had better or there would be trouble.

Hearing Archer and Aoife speak in Irish was nice. Their daughter would learn both that and Italian. She would be the most cultured child ever. Happily she kissed Valeria on the cheek. Gabby loved her little family so much. She and Archer had made the most wonderful child ever.

Good lord, who the hell was this woman? Lynley was already done with her. And the accent.

"Um hi." Lynley said with the tiniest of....mouth twitches, as if she tried to smile but failed. "I'm afraid I have no idea who ...you are, ma'am. Pity...you seem charming..." but as she learned she was Archer's MOTHER it all made sense why she immediately didn't take to the woman. Pfffft. She nodded. "Well...nice to meet you, Mrs. Burton," she held out her hand for the older lady to shake.

And Archer wouldn't shut up. Lynley raised an eyebrow at him. "Be quiet, Archer. You're making me want to leave already, Merlin," she snipped, but smiled as she suddenly saw Gabby. And the.... ~~raisin~~ BABY! "Oh my---look how precious!" And wrinkly it--SHE--was. Merlin. "And Gabby you look wonderful!" For someone who had just given birth, at least. But Lynley wouldn't add that in. "The baby...smells fresh." Oh goodness, she was the worst at giving baby compliments. Well, it was always sometime she could work on.

Um.

Hmmmmmmmm?

HOLD HER?

"NO." She said sternly. "I'm fine. I don't like holding them."

Archer wasn't sure what to make of Lynley's... attitude towards his mother. The woman who raised him. He merely frowned and walked over to Gabby to plant a kiss on her forehead and lightly stroke his daughter's soft as butter head. "Oh no, I wouldn't want you to leave on my account," he said with sarcasm.

He couldn't believe that anyone would NOT want to hold their Valeria. He took her from Gabby to smother her in kisses and promptly plonked her over to Lynley, hoping that the woman would reflexively take their daughter. If not... well... he wasn't letting go of her, just in case. "Drink? Tea or coffee?" he offered to the two women.

It was a good thing that Gabby hadn't heard Lynley's comment to Archer because otherwise she would be kicked out of the tent. She did, however, detect the hint of attitude towards Aoife. That caused the woman to frown slightly though the irritation passed a moment later when Archer kissed her forehead and then made a sarcastic comment. "Isn't daddy funny?" she said as she looked down at Valeria, who apparently... smelled fresh???

"Well, that's a new one."

At least Lynley was trying to be nice even if she felt awkward and didn't want to hold the baby. Archer was being more persistent on the matter though he was smart enough to keep a hold on the child just in case Lynley didn't take hold. And as far as a drink went... "I would love a coffee, dear." Best husband EVER.

Scene Five: England; Tent - A Very Burton Dinner

The table was set inside the tent. Four places, and a little play area in case Dima and Lana couldn't get a sitter. Though, of course Aoife was in the house in case they needed a bit of a child-free break. Stannis was bobbing around the place making sure everything was set, polished and clean. The dinner was almost ready, and all that was left was for Gabby and Archer to wait for their guests to arrive.

Archer put an arm around Gabby's waist and gave her something to drink. "Is Valeria down?" he asked. He hadn't seen his beautiful daughter in a little while, because she was usually with Gabby or Aoife, if she wasn't in Archer's arms.

Dinner was ready and smelled amazing. Could Gabby have a little before Alana and Dima arrived? She really wanted to but knew that it was best not to. Maybe just a teeny tiny bit?

She sighed as she snuggled into her husband, but couldn't help smiling. He always did that to her PLUS he was giving her a drink which was always appreciated. She kissed him on the cheek. Would do more... but family arriving soon. "She is, yes. She was getting cranky so she needed a nap." Sometimes that happened when Valeria got overtired though usually she didn't have a hard time getting to sleep. They had been blessed with a baby who wasn't up half the night.

Dima and Alana arrived at the tent of Gabby and Archer. She was clad in one of her favourite pale green and close fitting dresses that showed off her curves. Were you enjoying the view, Dima? She had on sensible shoes and her hair was done neatly. "We're not late, are we?'' Lana questioned Dima. She may have taken a little long to get ready but which woman didn't? "Did I tell you? You look dashing as ever in that outfit.'' She planted a kiss on her husband's cheek, gave him a smile and then lead the way into the tent.

"Gabby!'' Yes, as usual, Alana was happy and excited to see her 'sister'. But she really needed to be quiet in case she woke Valeria up. If the baby was sleeping, that is. "Hello, Archer!'' They both goth hugs. "Mmmmm. The food smells heavenly.''

It's not everyday he got a dinner invitation from his uncle. Also, this meant that he's free from the kids and had a little quality time with his lovely wife. Thankfully that the sitter was available for them. "I hope that we're not that late." The 33-year old said to his wife as he looked on his watch. Merlin, Alana looked very dashingly hot in that dress. Why she had to wear the outfit that showed off her curves perfectly? That was his weakness and such a perfect way to boost his testosterone production. Okay, that was too much information. "Thanks, beautiful. And I love to see you in that dress." Dima complimented his wife as she kissed his cheek and he returned that with a kiss on her lips.

"Hello, everyone!" He greeted the host and hostess as they entered the tent. Seriously, when will his uncle have a permanent housing? Was payment as Ministry employee not that enough to make a house mortgage? Okay, that was not his business. Also, this wasn't his first time here because Dima came here too when Valeria was born. "You look lovely, Gabby." He complimented. "And you too, Archie. Although you seemed to put on a little weight around abdomen's area."

"Ahh well, she'll sleep well then," Archer said. He missed his daughter terribly when he was at work. But he usually got lots of cuddles from both of his ladies when he got home. Enough to make up for the 8 hours away.

And just as Archer was about to dip his wife and give her a snog, their guests arrived. "Perfect timing! Hey Lana, you look fantastic," he said, giving her a hug. He smiled at the compliment of the smell of dinner. "It does, doesn't it?" And his nephew, or sometimes almost like a little brother to Archer, was there too. Archer gave Dima a manly hug. "Don't I always?" he joked, with a laugh. "You too, man. Nah... you must be imagining things," he said cheerily. Nope, this man's body was in perfect shape, owing to their very ourdoorsy lifestyle.

"Great to see you both. Can we get you a drink? Stannis, can you bring some drinks over to Lana and Dima." He held an arm out towards the table and led them over. "Take a seat, dinner won't be too long." He put an arm around Gabby.

Gabby nodded at her husband. "For quite a few hours hopefully. She was way too fussy." It would have been nice for Valeria to be out to see family but it just wouldn't happen while she was cranky. Besides this way she got to have some alone time with her husband before the guests arrived... Or not because here they were.

"Alana! Dima!" It was good to see them both and she was excited that Alana was there. Good that they were being careful not to wake Valeria because as much as Gabby wanted to hold her daughter it just wouldn't be nice with a lot of crying. Better to just let her sleep. "Thank you," she added while knowing full well that she looked amazing. "You look nice as well, Dima. As do you, Alana." That went without saying because her sister always looked amazing. As far as Archer's figure... He was the sexiest man on the planet.

Arm around him, she made her way over to the table and took a seat. "I'm starving." Came with eating for two. Soon they would make their announcement and she couldn't wait.

Alana flirtatiously batted her lashes, made longer than usual thanks to mascara. (it's mascara that does that, right? RPer who dislikes makeup here) She knew very well what her being in this dress would do to Dima. The woman giggled like a teenage girl after her husband kissed her, that familiar taste of his enveloping her. She wanted to kiss him again but if that happened, they would never make it into the tent.

Alana returned Archer's hug. She was always happy to see him but she was always extra happy to see Gabby. "Thanks, Archer. You look great and without the trace of a gut.'' She winked then moved over to Gabby to hug her. "Thank you. And you look gorgeous as always.'' Weren't Dima and Archer lucky they each got such a hot looking woman?

"I am guessing that baby Valeria is asleep?'' Alana didn't mind; she would just peek in on her a little later. Oh? Gabby was hungry? "So am I.'' Nodding at Archer's suggestion, she took a seat and looked expectantly at Dima. She wanted hubby beside her.

And didn't Gabby and Archer look cute together?

Dimitri, control yourself. He said to himself. Sometimes he forgot how did it feel to be a couple again since mainly his role is a father of two precious and smart children. Yeah, he should schedule one night or two at least every week with his wife for... couple's quality time.

Maybe it was just him who gained weight since he got married with Alana. Well, he's happy with her and there's a scientific proof saying that happy marriage makes the husband gained some weight. "I'm just kidding, Archie." He said to his uncle (whom, never in his life that he called him uncle since he's like a few years older.) "Oh yes, please. I would like a glass of wine." He said as he took a seat besides Alana. "I hope that the dinner will be good." As a chef and restaurant owner, Dima is a little bit picky when it comes to food.

Archer smiled cheerfully at Alana and Dima. He didn't take offence at all. "Thanks Lana," he said, patting his abs. "I know you are, man," he added to Dima. He gave him a manly clap on the back as they headed to the table. "Glass of wine it is. Red or white? It's beef so I might have red." Stannis, as quick as ever, brought both bottles over and handed them to Archer. He was too short to put them in the centre of the table. "What about you, ladies?" Archer was just finishing his glass of water.

"Well... if it's not good, we have some things here and you can whip us up something good," Archer said to Dima. "Nah, it will be good, don't worry. Mum helped me with the roast, and the vegetables are cooked crispy and fluffy all in one."

He took a sip of his wine and put the glass back onto the table. "So... anything new with you guys?" he asked. There was something new with he and Gabby, but he was trying not to excitedly announce it without first seeing how Lana and Dima were.

Smiling, Gabby hugged Alana back. It was always so good to see her practically sister and Dima. They had things to catch up on and of course the big announcement but that was not coming up yet. Best to get the pleasantries out of the way. She looked towards her husband and beamed. She was so happy and excited and he was too.

She nodded at the question about Valeria. "She was being cranky. I think someone was overtired. Of course you can see her if you want to." That went for the both of them. They would be careful with the baby since they had two children of their own. Gabby didn't really like entrusting people with their child unless they were parents - or at least an aunt in Lynley's case. Not that the woman wanted anything to do with holding the child...

"The food here is always amazing," she added on to Archer's response to Dima. There was no need to worry about the food being bad. Her husband and Aoife both knew their way around the kitchen and sometimes she helped as well but not today. "Archer, I can't have wine..." she said so that only he could hear. It would be a bad idea because of Valeria and the pregnancy.

Gabby nodded understandingly. She knew all too well about how a child could be. Her thoughts were fondly on hers and Dima's. "I'll peek in on her before we leave. For now, let her have her beauty sleep.'' Lana laughed softly. Baby Valeria surely did not need that at any rate.

The woman linked her arm through her hubby's. "Dima's always sensitive about his food,'' she said and gave his arm a fond squeeze. He had an excellent taste when it came to that an not to mention he was the best at cooking. Yes, ever better than her and she was not afraid to let him know. "I'm sure everything will be delicious.''

"Red for me please, Archer.'' Alana looked at Gabby rather curiously when the other woman leaned in to whisper something to Archer. The two ladies didn't usually keep thing from each other and so Lana reasoned that this may be something personal. Because of this, she did not question anything.
