Robust Obessions: 37. Relashio

“James there is a thin line between getting obsessed with a map and using it a lot for something” Remus muttered but rolled his eyes as James completely deflected his words. No wait; he was too immersed in it to notice there’s a real life happening around him.

Remus looked at Sirius.

Sirius shrugged, “maybe we shouldn’t have added the student’s location. Now he’s a stalker”.

“Aye aye” Remus sighed and continued to stare at his friend, “did he shower?”.

“I haven’t seen him” Sirius shrugged again unconsciously scrunching his nose.

“What are we going to do?” Remus asked nonchalantly.

“I think you should be asking, ‘what I am to do?’ because I’m heading out for tutor lessons” he smiled his crooked smile, “good luck confiscating that” he pointed at the marauders map James was holding, patted Remus’s back and whistled his way out of the room.

Remus growled and continued to stare at James; it was too odd to like a girl this much.

Flicking his wand at James, the map deflected into his hands and instantly hid it behind his back, “if you must stalk Lily you must stalk her through the right channels and when she knows”.

A typical day at Gryffindor Common Room: 19- Jelly Legs

“What are you snickering about?” Remus Lupin questioned his friends.

Sirius snickered.

James snickered louder.

Peter groaned.

Remus placed both hands on his hips and glared threateningly at his friends.

“Don’t do that, you look like my mother” Sirius barked out in laughter.

“Your mum is more melancholy” James pointed out.

Peter scratched his head, “he’s disowned!”

“I’m bloody well aware of that” Sirius retorted, glaring at Peter.

James frowned at Peter.

“What?” Peter said defensively.

Remus thought better to interject and save Peter for the millionth time. “So?” he nudged Padfoot and Prongs, “what’s the entire snickering about?”

“Jinxing McGonagall” Peter grinned.

“I’m going to strangle him!” Sirius pronounced ominously, his silvery eyes gathering dark clouds at Peter.

“I’d save it for Snivellus” James scowled at the mere thought of Snape.

“Their only contemplating Jelly Legs Jinx” Peter explained.

“Peter!” Sirius and James barked out together.

“You’ve gone mad!” Lupin declared slashing the air with his hand, “you’re not doing it. You’ll get expelled for goodness sake. I’ll get expelled for not stopping you. Absolutely not! Do you know how old she is?” Remus growled.

“Not really” Sirius shrugged carelessly.

“Do you know?” James asked interestingly, “I’ve always wondered....."

Famous Dancing: 7-Confundus

“Peter Pettigrew” Professor McGonagall roared as she came upon the most disoriented Gryffindor. “What on earth are you doing wearing a tutu in the middle of the corridor? and you’re dancing!” she brought a hand to her mouth in horror.

“I’m happpyyyyyy, I’m preettttyyyy, I’m wiiiiiild” Peter sang his heart out as he did a twirl with both hands in the air.

“Explain yourself Peter! That’s deplorable what your doing!” McGonagall couldn’t bare a minute more of watching Peter dancing. He needs to move! NOW!

“I’m a ballerina!” he mused with a cheeky smile, “I’m going to be famous! FAMOUS!”

“The only place you will be regarded famous is in Hogwarts dungeons, now start telling me what made you wear that dreadful dress or go back and change into proper garments!”

Peter shrugged as he did an Attitude en pointe then skipped down the corridor with much lightness.

McGonagall scowled after him then turned a corner when she came face to face with Sirius and James. Her mouth turned into a large O as her index finger shot in their direction; “I should have known!”

“Confundus charm Professor” Sirius smiled crookedly.

“Not at all our fault” James grinned perfectly.

“Blimey” Sirius’s eyes grew to full length, “did I come into the wrong room or what?”

“Shhhh!” James waved a dismissive hand, “I’m concentrating”

“And so you say” Sirius mused throwing himself into the couch next to his best mate.

“Shhhh!”

“Alright already!” he barked, placing both elbows on his knees determined to figure James’s new hobby.

“Whoaaa!” Moony’s voice came in, “did someone rise on the wrong side of the bed or what?!”

“Shhhh!”

“He’s concentrating” Sirius answered mimicking James’s earlier tone.

“I can see why” he broke into a husky chuckle, “he’s not using a single finger”

“Knitting charm” James snickered.

“And so you say, but what for?”

“A present for my dear Miss Evans” James smiled dreamily.

“Moony my friend” Sirius sighed

“Yes?”

“Never allow me to fall in love for it does strange things to ones’ mind!”

“And so you say!” Remus chuckled.

“SHHH!” James interrupted louder this time.

“We know!” Remus and Sirius said in unity.

“Lets go for a game of chess” Sirius rolled his eyes, “I see this will take long”.

James quirked a brow, apparently they caught his interest. “Wait for me, I’m coming”

“Shhhh!” Sirius and Remus broke in laughter.

Adventurous Adventure: 40. Sonorus

“Geerrrooof!” Sirius hissed.

PUNCH!

“Ouch!” Peter whimpered.

“That ought to teach you to move your bum out of my face”.

“Be quite. Or we’ll get caught” Remus hissed.

“Told you we should have kept Peter out of it” Padfoot pointed out.

“We ought to go back, its nearing midnight” Moony interjected pulling Peter up to stand on his feet.

“No!” Sirius and James shrieked, “We’ve come a long way to retreat”.

“I’ll go last this time” Sirius said with finality glaring at Peter, “you better hold strong or I’ll be feeding you to Moony myself!”

Peter whimpered.

Marauders, all dressed in black garments took their positions except for Peter whom remained at the very bottom; Remus climbed up his shoulders, James followed, Sirius last to follow making the very top shoulder before shoving the window open.

“What do you see?” James inquired.

“Ivory” Sirius mused.

“Eh?”

“Bubbles” he sighed.

“He’s lost it” Remus grumbled.

“Wild berries” he sniffed

“What did he just say?”

“I believe he said-“ James got cut-off by a high pitched voice uttering “Sonorus”, all boys peered down to spot McGonagall before her loud voice echoed throughout the grounds. “I believe he said detention boys!”

“I solemnly swear I am up to no good” Sirius said tapping the map with the tip of his wand.

The Marauder’s Map!

It was finally complete and fully functional with all the boys gathered to admire and drink in its contents with enthusiasm and excitement, for the first time.

“So beautiful” Remus mused watching students stalk the School.

“Mhmmm” sighed James, eyeing Lily’s footsteps in Gryffindor Tower.

Sirius snickered then jabbed Peter’s ribs because his hair was suddenly blocking his view.

“I think it’s time we make a vow” Sirius suggested.

“What vow?” James asked, his eyes still fixed on the map. On Lily.

“Yes Vow! Let’s vow!” Peter squiggled sticking a finger up his nostril, blockage.

“A vow to keep this map a secret among us and to protect it from misuse” Sirius explained slapping Peter’s hand with his wand, “Don’t do that in front of me”. Satisfied with Peter’s cringe he glanced back at the boys.

“A vow….. an Unbreakable Vow!” Sirius whispered dramatically stretching his hand from one end to the other.

James and Remus stared at him for a long moment then murmured their agreement.

Peter stared for most of the time. Incomprehensive.

Potting Fertilizers: 47. Twitchy Ears Hex

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Herbology class was horrendous and the practical for it was tiring, messy and purely gruesome to toxic one’s mind and state of harmony, puffing a breath out of boredom Sirius looked around the class. Professor Sprout was too busy bending over some Hufflepuffs demonstrating the correct way of potting fertilizers; Remus and James were too occupied trying to perfect their own pot, which he sort of understood given OWLS were zooming their way in no time. Peter, on the other hand, seemed not to comprehend how to correctly pot fertilizers.

Sirius watched him struggled, then struggle some more.

Hmmmm. The edge of his right lip lifted in a wicked a smile.

Now that he found an amusement outlet to entertain him for the remainder of this boring class. He thought carefully about how to carry out his plan, he had to be discrete for sure, and use something no one would think a student would cast on another in the middle of a practical. So he eyed Peter until it came to him. Twitchy Ear Hex!

Flicking his wand, Sirius casted a silent spell and watched Peter wrestle with his sudden disruptions of class, in full amusement of course.

Compass Encompass: 33. Point Me

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

“Why are you playing this silly game with Lily?” Sirius asked James with a raised eyebrow. They were perfectly happy snoozing under a tree on a sunny, lazy afternoon.

However, James stalking the ground randomly playing hide and seek with Lily was to him purely childish and unnecessary.

“You really ought to tone it down fella” he commented dropping his eyes for a relaxing moment…which was disrupted again by James.

“Okay, let’s get this over with James, what did she tell you? To make you this frustrated?” he asked glancing slyly to Remus for back-up. Bless the boy was reading. Of course he was.

“Her hiding place is on the North end of the Castle, but on the slip she gave me the mark is on the south end” he frowned, “it’s not like her to make mistakes, I’m sure it’s a trick” he scowled at the slip.

“It is a trick” Remus mused tilting his head to one side, “From this end it looks like the East end” he smiled then looked up at James, “I’m sure when it’s tilted it’ll mark the west end too” he looked around thoughtfully then back at frustrated James.

“Cast a ‘point me’”.

Accio Lily Evans!: 1. Accio

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Sitting at the Gryffindor table for Breakfast the Maurders ate their heart desire before their Quidditch match against Slytherins. Lazily lounging and picking on food that was levitating above and around them. Perhaps for Sirius and James, maybe some would call it showing off a bit… or much.

“Would you please use your hands” Remus remarked finally not being able to contain his temper with the abuse, well over abuse in his opinion, of the ‘Accio’ spell by Sirius and James. “There is absolutely no excuse” he added on frustratingly biting into his omelets, “everything is so close enough to your plate and I KNOW you wanted to pour that milk on me Sirius. It was no accident”.

“That was an accident my friend” Sirius said innocently.

With Remus’s return of a glare, he sighed.

“Alright don’t get your knickers tied into a knot” Sirius mused putting his wand beside his plate and started using his fork. James on the other hand was squinting his eyes and targeting his wand down the table towards Lily Evans, “the things I’d do just to Accio her to me” he sighed.

All the marauders hollered with laughter.

Fangirls and whatnot: 31. Orchideous

Walking down the corridor towards the staircase to the dungeons, Sirius walked beside Remus with a deep air of arrogance. Nose handsomely stuck in the air, hair tousled from a recent shower reflecting the color of a midnight sky. Eyes grey and warm poking holes on James’s back.

“Don’t you ever tire of this?” Remus asked shiftily eyeing the group of girls ahead of them with their rosy cheeks firing into all shades of scarlet the moment Sirius appeared in their view.

“Tire of what?” Sirius asked absently, his eyes were now focused on Lily Evans who was determined to bite James’s ear off with her chatter. To him it WAS chatter.

“You know what I’m talking about” Remus mused.

“Oh that” Sirius rolled his eyes at the group of girls that constantly conjured themselves up in his way to classes; at first they flattered him, then they became tiresome, now they were nauseating. But, a man has to keep his cool around the ladies.

Maybe that was his problem.

“Ladies” Sirius tilted his head handsomely, and then conjured up a bouquet of flowers with Orchideous.

Musing over their sighs and giggles, he listened to what they had to say..

Imperfect Imperious: 17. Imperio

Sirius was snoozing under a tree, lying sideways on the grass with an arm holding his head up in James’s direction, who sat crossed legged with a book in his lap.

Remus, close by was showing Peter how to do his Charms homework by practicing spells.

Snape walked by catching their attention.…

Remus sighed then glanced warningly at Sirius and James, thankfully Peter haven’t noticed and continued to do his wand movements.

Sirius scrunched his nose in disgust and felt sorry for the girl that was walking with Snape.

“Poor girl, I think someone used the unforgivable curse on her. Look at the way she’s batting her lashes at him”.

“Imperio?” Sirius answered James then rolled his eyes, “Probably was him who used it on her to prove to us that there are girls that do fall for him. Sick lad that he is”.

They both shuddered when the girl started making kissy faces at Snape.

“I believe her name is Tiro… Tiro MacMhuirich.” James said thoughtfully setting his eyes back on the book with full disgust raw on his face.

“ Remus” Sirius looked at Remus, “you probably want to have the nurse check on the girl later..”

Marauders Escape: 28. Nox

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Trailing each other’s footsteps with James Potter in the lead, the Marauders snuck their way down the hallways, “Why are the teachers highly active tonight?” James murmured disapprovingly “at this rate we won’t have our run tonight” he scowled at the map for good measure.

“Shhhh” Remus warned Peter, “stop eating that chicken leg, Mrs. Norris would be on us”.

Peter stopped mid-bite shoving the leg back inside his pants’ pocket, “didn’t mean to, I’m hungry and I don’t want to eat mice again they make me sick”.

“Why go for a run when we can know what they are up to” Sirius said thoughtfully then glanced slyly at Peter, he always gave them away so they’d be caught in no time. “Never mind that we’ll poke the ghosts later for details, their forever nosing in”.

“Who’s nosing in?” asked Peeves popping out of thin air.

“Oy Vey” Sirius sighed.

Peter giggled

Remus whined.

James rolled his eyes and pocketed the map.

“Well who?” Peeves demanded floating around the air in full snickering amusement.

“Boys... you know what to do” Sirius said casting a silent ‘Nox’ to set them back in darkness.

“Students in the corridooOoooOooOoOOoOr” Peeves hollered swooshing around.

Mean-ingful Encounter: 39. Sectumsempra

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

“Sectumsempra” Sirius Black whispered after long moment of silent gaze down over Snape’s shoulder. He wasn’t sure what surprised him more; the word itself or the fact Snivellus wrote ‘enemies’ right beside it.

He was to meet Remus at the Library after lunch to study, when he passed Snivellus immersed in note writing and couldn’t help himself from peering into his notes.

“For enemies” Sirius mused, “wonder who they are” disgusted that he accidently brushed Snivellus, Sirius touched his fingers over the table beside Snape and dragged his fingers insultingly with his gray eyes daring Snivellus to object.

“Bugger off Sirius” Snape closed his book and hugged it to his chest like a protective treasure and stood up, his usual oily hair making a curtain around his eyes. Shame he was a product of magic.

“Don’t flatter yourself, you’re not that interesting to waste time on, but don’t think I won’t look this up” he pointed out then wrinkled his nose at Snivellus’s state displeasingly. Catching Lily Evans fiery red hair approaching, Sirius raised his brows defiantly as he walked away ignoring them both.

Deciding to keep this piece information to himself, Sirius continued his path to meet the marauders.

Typical Marauders: 13. Flagrate

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Practicing in a group of four during Defense against the Dark Arts practical, the marauders with the exception of Peter were drawing burning square lines with exact line distance against one end of the wall by casting the ‘Flagrate’ spell.

Peter was helping Sirius hold the ruler in place while he burned lines on the wall.

The purpose of this exercise, according to the Professor is to minimize the space of one’s spell contact to cause more harm to one’s opponent.

“Peter stop moving, you’re giving me a headache” Sirius glowered at the Gryffindor, “the lines need to be exact”.

“I’m trying” Peter whined, “the wall keeps moving”.

“The wall isn’t moving” James mused with the help of Remus were connecting the lines to make them four-sided figures..

“It is!” he defended then mumbled a ‘no one ever believes me’.

Sirius rolled his eyes and tried to continue without Peter’s help, which was a bad plan because Peter found a way to burn himself soon enough.

“Peter” Sirius scowled at him over Remus’s fussing and his own whines, bless the wolf always had the patience, “I will practice the spells on you if you don’t move”.

Cousins or Not: 30. Oppugno

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Peter was admiring Bellatrix Lestrange to the extent of drooling over his muffin, mhmmm she was so pretty, so pretty! But sadly she was a Slytherin so he could never ask her out. Well not because of that, that was no excuse; she barely showed him any attention to begin with. He made sure to have good ‘Sirius’ hair when he came down to breakfast every day, the way he lazily set his robes over his school clothes, he even copied his walk! He was cool, he was tough, and he was going to … “Ommph” something hard hit him across the head.

His vision was disoriented when he opened his eyes, and could swear that big piece of bread was not sitting on the desert rack.

“Don’t you dare even to think about it” he heard Sirius’s hostile voice ringing through one ear. He didn’t dare to look up, to catch the look on his face. If it has any resemblance to his voice, he didn’t want to see it.

“Wasn’t…” he squeaked, looking away from the Slytherins so they wouldn’t catch him. Oh it would look bad if she saw Sirius convincing him not to ask her out!

Night of The Full Moon: 24. Lumos

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Tonight was a play night! Everyone; Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs were hiding under James’s invisibility cloak and acing the corridors to the grounds with the help of their map and a spark of light at the end of Remus’s wand. Even if he felt ill, he showed none of it tonight. Tonight they will run the forest with Moony, chase rabbits, play with each other until the sun comes up, or suffer Dumbledore’s wrath. Whichever comes first?

Once on the edge of the forest, three of the four sprinted to the trees helping take Remus deeper into the forest while James hid the cloak in a nook of a tree with their wands and followed their toe.

“WHOOOOO” James swished hopping over tree branches as he removed his tie feeling the thrill of exciting as the scent of the forest hit him and the cool breeze brushing his skin, it was so dark tonight which made their excitement all that better, the stag within him was ready to come out, he could feel Sirius share his excitement, if his eyes couldn’t say it already.

It was a full moon and the marauders were embracing it with their wild spirit!

Memories: 29. Obliviate

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

“Come on Lily...say Yes” James asked completely bewitched by the fiery red head, he looked at her dreamily with full rounded puppy eyes still trying to convince her on a date for the upcoming weekend, “Madam Puddifoots, just you and me?” he trailed on with a sweet smile as he leaned on the wall beside her. It took him a WHOLE week to isolate her from her friends to ask her out. Now that he had, she was being... a fiery red head.

“I don’t know James” she replied holding her potion book to her chest, “Let me think on it” she added on biting onto her lower lip thoughtfully.

“That’s what you said last time” James reminded her gently, “and I’m still waiting on that promise”.

“Wasn’t a promise” she defended playfully, “I don’t know James…”

“If you don’t know, why are you still talking to me?” he asked giving her that sweet smile again, “answer that at least”.

“Becauuuuse” she mused, “I like to talk to you?” she said it as a question rendering a smile from James.

“Someone…. please hex me” Sirius muttered nauseatingly towards Remus, pressing a hand to his temple, “or better Obliviate me”.

One laugh a day, keeps the doctor away: 38. Rictusempra

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

Sirius and Remus stood over Peter as he rolled around with laughter right outside charms classroom.. What was so funny? The boy was a dark shade of scarlet that for one moment Sirius was worried his lungs we’re about to collapse.

“Did he eat anything to make him giggle like a five year old?” Sirius asked with a frown.

“Don’t remember” Remus answered thoughtfully.

“Not that I recall” James answered coming up after Prefect duty, “its Peter. Everything is funny to him” he wasn’t sure he wanted to know.

Not coming to any conclusions, Remus cleared his throat and asked, “What’s the laughter on about Peter?”

KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAK…”BBBB”. GIGGGLEEEE…”EEE”… LAUGHTER…….”LLL”….MORE LAUGHTER “AAA”

“Oh Boy” James mused “he’s been after Bella again?”

Sirius groaned.

Remus shook his head then bent over Peter, “Did she do this to you?”

Laughing himself silly, Peter shook his head. “N----O” he giggled, “she didn’t do anything!”

“Right” Remus replied, all three Marauders were looking down at Peter disbelievingly.

They knew Bellatrix Lestrange fairly well to know when she left her fingerprints on someone.

In-School Circus: 49. Wingardium Leviosa

It was open day at School and the Marauders unanimously decided to cover the circus booth, dress up Peter as the clown and give the kids a treat whenever they visited.

“Now that we got the clown spot covered” Sirius didn’t even bother to glance at Peter, “what would you like to take on Remus. The Were Wolf spot?” he mused playfully, “or the wizard with the furry rabbit?”

“Well we can’t guarantee I won’t eat the rabbit” Remus stuck his tongue out at Sirius, “now that would be a show on its own if I did”.

Sirius chuckled, “Right, no animals within close contact to you Remus. But since James is the Lion Tamer I doubt you’d have any inclination for Lion meat?” he narrowed his eyes playfully at Remus then mused.

“Well your pick, Ringmaster is out since I’ve reserved that. But anything else is yours; Juggler, Acrobat, Trapeze?” Sirius was trying hard to hold his snort back as he went down the list.

“The Juggler!” Remus picked that reflexively before Sirius stuck him with something heinous for his own amusement. At least with juggling he could use an easy spell to keep the balls in the air.

Address Unknown: 42. Silencio

An owl swooped through the four poster bedroom tossing a parchment at James Potter’s head then swooshed out the window with a squeak.

“Stupid Owl” he mumbled taking grab of the parchment, in a hurry to read what Lily replied instead frowned.

“What did she say?” Sirius asked curiously looking up from the Marauder’s Map he had propped open on his lap.

“She scratched her name and scribbled return to sender” he looked up at Sirius, “is she serious? She didn’t even open it!”

“Well then” Sirius mused, “she’s still upset with you”

Scowling, James scribbled her name back on it and added a small heart beside it, then tapped it with his wand to send it back to her.

…..moments later,

The owl swooshed back dropping the letter, this time on his bed.

Wrestling Peter to the letter, James finally got to it and scowled.

“Did she read it?” Sirius asked over Peter’s head.

“No. She scratched her name and wrote address unknown” he growled.

“Aheey she broke up with you -” Peter said then crossed his eyes when his voice broke out..?

“I’m going to see her” James grumbled storming out of the room, towards the girls’ dormitory.

D-attention!: 41. Scourgify

Sirius had his share of detentions, many he well deserved and others, well he deserved too. But Professor McGonagall really went over the top and half by setting this one. Surely.

He wasn’t happy about it. One bit. Nor were his Marauders, he could hear them; groan, puff, and gargle with suffocation.

Then again he never agreed to detention when sometimes he did things out of the norms, it was only to have a little fun. To break the boredom…

Couldn’t blame his friends when she made them work with animal manure. No use of wand so they really couldn’t get the easy way out which pretty much loses the purpose of detention. But cleaning the animal den and process the manure for greenhouse was not the way he’d play it. Hmmm. Bad McGonagall!

He couldn’t plot vengeance against her; really she had a kind heart. But, his mind hurriedly formulated on plots on how to make this more fun. Perhaps sliding on manure games? Uh no. The stench won’t come out of his hair.

Perhaps add mint into the mix and pass it to Bellatrix and her friends as a facial mask, now that would work. Organic Mud Mask.

Moonlight: 9. Disapparate

♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦

He was walking his way back to Gryffindor Tower after Prefect duties, Remus couldn’t resist glancing up at the sky, it was a beautiful clear night and all the stars were showing quite clearly.

And so did the moon.

He sighed and leaned across the windowsill crossing his arms and studiously looked up at the sky.

And the moon.

It was his closest enemy and the only thing he could never escape. He tried running miles from it, but the moon always found him. Always. Claimed him and demanded he pay his dues.

It was a cruse. He could never break.

He sighed and shifted to look down at the forbidden forest, his recent home when the moon claimed him.

He liked it there, it was... nice. And pretty fun when his friends joined him. Such loons.

He hiccupped a laugh then stared up at the sky again; his heart was definitely lost to the moon. His entire life revolved around this distant planet.

He couldn’t help wonder if he could battle time to fight it, travel from country to country to flop it. But he doubted it work, but he would try. The moment he learned how to disapparate.

We've got the looks: 4. Blasting Curse

James whistled when he walked back into their four poster room to check on Sirius who was taking a tad longer than usual to change.

“You’ve got it worse than a blasting curse” he mused looking at Sirius through the mirror.

He had his hair tied back sleekly into a pony tail, probably missed to shave this morning and dressed in rugged black jeans, black T topping it with a black leather jacket to complete the look.

“Here got you this” he threw an identical leather jacket at James, “put it on” he rested his hands on his hips. Then made to move around his bed, “check out the boots” he mused.

“Professor McGonagall would not swallow us going to Hogsemeade in leathers”

“Nah, she’d think we’re up to tease the girls” he chuckled winking at James.

“Today my friend, we shall be muggles! Now let’s hurry up. I’m looking forward to seeing my babe”.

“Heavens we’re…” putting on the leather jacket, James mused and sleeked his hair too.

He grinned up at his friends. “You called it a babe?”

“It’s not an it… it’s a her. Be nice to her or I won’t let you drive her” he teased.

James Potter was huffing, puffing, and glaring down the grounds, at someone.

“Why does she believe him? Really? Why does she ALWAYS stand up to that rotten no body” he mumbled in frustration.

“Well, she’s a prefect for one and she’s got a kind heart” Remus pointed out.

“Right, but yet she stands up to me or let’s put it clearly, stands me up. That doesn’t prove she has a kind heart that just proves she’s blind”.

Sirius rolled his eyes, “if I didn’t know you buddy, I’d say you’re jealous of Snivellus”.

“I hope he breaks out in boils!”

“That can be arranged my friend” Sirius mused thoughtfully, “easily”. He pondered which Professor he didn’t yet spend detention with this week. Hmmm.

James scowled in the direction of the lake.

Remus mused and went back to reading.

“Potions” Sirius finally came to realize Slughorn, he could easily persuade himself out of detention by being a Black. “We could give him boils in potions, I’m a Black and you’re the finest seeker in School. Slughorn will turn a blind eye”.

“No” James shook his head, “I’m going to go knock a few Quaffles. I’ll just ignore her for a while”.

Snape Rage: 8. Diffindo

“I don’t like the way he’s looking at her” James scowled across the grounds at Snape. “I still cannot comprehend why she gives him the attention she does. The Twit” he scowled some more ignoring the Sirius’s slap on his shoulder. “I’m sure she does it to spite me”.

“You really ought to control the jealousy rage on Snape. He’s not worth it; let’s focus on the task at hand. You wanted to bring her flowers from Hogsmeade, so to make it back in time, it means we have to leave around 6pm... Are you listening to me?” Sirius frowned at his friend. Really this was becoming a headache.

“You realize even befriending Snape would not put you in Lily’s good graces?” Sirius asked.

“I know” James frowned thoughtfully, “you wouldn’t understand Sirius, she’s not any girl” he sighed dreamily then heaved a deep breath. Perhaps something else to make him look bad would, no no he wanted to tear Snape into small bits and pieces that would never be put back together, no matter how skilled that person is.

“I don’t like the look on your face” Sirius stated.

“I don’t like my thoughts” James replied nonchalantly.
