Hey so this is my second challenge thread and I'm really excited. The Weasley twins are by far some of the most interesting characters that appear in the books. Also, if you read these please let me know. I'd love to know who reads my ficlets. So without further adieu...

32. Petrificus Totalus

It was way past curfew when Fred and George were standing outside the Slytherin Common Room, the Marauder’s Map open in front of them.

“George, we better hurry. Filch is coming.”

“I’m almost done. There.”

Fred and George both looked up to admire what they had set up. It was a bucket filled with Flobberworm Mucus that they had charmed to refill itself once it dumped. They looked at each other and grinned mischievously.

“That’ll teach those Slytherins right,” Fred said.

Then they heard Filch’s cat, Mrs. Norris, soon followed by the mumblings of Filch coming down into the dungeons. The twins quickly ducked behind a nearby statue as the caretaker stopped in front of the Slytherin Common Room, not even noticing the bucket.

Filch took one step closer to the entrance and the bucket immediately dumped the mucus on him.

“Whoever did that is in big trouble!” Filch screamed not even noticing the bucket getting ready to refill itself.

Before Filch could move from the spot, George took out his wand and pointed it at Filch. He mumbled, “Petrificus Totalus.”

The twins laughed as Filch was immobilized. The twins ran up the stairs as they heard another bucket dump.

12. Furnunculus

Fred and George sat in Snape’s office. The twins both had mischievous grins on their faces, not regretting anything.

“I will not tolerate this type of behavior. Using Furnunculus on Mr. Malfoy is completely out of line, even for you two,” Snape said looking at Malfoy, who was still covered in boils.

The twins smirked as Malfoy sneered at them. He had gotten what he deserved and it was worth the pile of detentions they were bound to receive.

“As a punishment, you will be cleaning out all of the cauldrons and organizing the ingredients for two weeks.”

Even for what they had done, that seemed a little steep. They shot a glare at Malfoy for telling on them.

“Now back to your Common Room.”

As the twins left the room, they heard Snape telling Malfoy to hold still. The twins were in such a bad mood that they didn’t even bother to chuckle.

“This is rubbish. He got what was coming to him,” George said.

“I know. He called Hermione a Mudblood. He should be the one getting in trouble,” Fred added.

They stormed back to the Common Room, making sure they made a mess of the Dungeons first.

48. Unbreakable Vow

Fred kneeled on the floor, his hand entwined with Ron’s, as George was about to ask the final question of the Unbreakable Vow. Ron was about to say I will, when their father walked into the room.

“Boys have you seen-“ He stopped mid-sentence as he realized what they were doing. “What on earth are you boys doing?!”

Fred dropped Ron’s hand and looked at George nervously. They’d never seen their father like this. Arthur Weasley stormed over and grabbed Fred by the ear, dragging him into the other room. All that the two left could hear was the sound of Fred’s screams. Ron scampered from the room as Mr. Weasley came to give George his punishment.

After the whole ordeal was over, Fred and George were sent to their rooms for the rest of the day. They sat in silence for what felt like hours before anyone said anything.

“Great going Fred.”

“How is this my fault? You wanted to do it as much as I did!”

“I wouldn’t have even had the idea if you wouldn’t have brought it up!”

They glared at each other from their separate beds. Neither one wanted to take the blame for this.

2. Avada Kedavra

Fred and George were running around the backyard like crazy, twigs in hand. The whole family watched as the five year olds had a fake duel. Molly took pictures while little Ron sat on her lap watching intently.

The ‘battle’ was starting to get intense. Out of nowhere Fred shouted, “Avada Kedavra!” George immediately dropped his wand and fell over. Fred grinned, not even noticing the horrified look on his mother’s face.

“Fred Weasley! Where on earth did you learn that spell?!” She glared at her husband and then at Bill and Charlie, without glancing at Percy.

Fred just shrugged his shoulders. ”Don’t remember.”

George stood up and walked over to Fred. Molly was still glaring furiously from her husband to her two eldest sons. Then she turned back to the twins. “I never want to hear you saying those words again? Got it.”

“Blimey, mum. We were only joking,” George said.

“That isn’t something you joke about, George.”

“Fine. We’ll never say it again,” they promised, giving each other a look that everyone knew meant trouble.

Both of them took pointed their twigs and Molly and shouted, “Avada Kedavra!” They quickly ran, knowing they would be in big trouble.

23. Levicorpus

“All right so we’re definitely buying the store right?”

“Right George.” Just then Umbridge cleared her throat.

“There will be no talking in my classroom. Now back to work. Unless you want detention.”

They glared at her as they watched the vile woman walk towards her desk. The twins grudgingly went back to reading their beginners book that was a total joke.

By the end of the class, they had maybe read three sentences for they had fallen asleep. They groggily awoke when Umbridge practically yelled right in their ears that class was over.

Fred and George got up to exit with everyone else, but were stopped by the toad woman standing in front of them.

“For failing to stay awake during my lesson, I expect both of you back here tonight for detention.” She turned around to go back to her office.

“It’s kind of hard to stay awake when the lesson is so pointless,” Fred mumbled to George.

“Make that the rest of this week.”

The twins looked at each other and took out their wands. They pointed them at Umbridge and muttered “Levicorpus.” They walked out of the room grinning as they heard her scream in terror.

27. Muffliato

“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU BOYS DID THAT! WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU DROP OUT OF SCHOOL?!” Mrs. Weasley was furious, the twins could see that.

“Mum, that woman was evil.” George said.

“Yeah, we weren’t learning anything anyways.” Fred added.

“THAT ISN’T THE POINT! YOU’RE THROWING AWAY YOUR FUTURES! WHAT ABOUT N.E.W.T.S?!”

She just kept going on and on. Fred and George looked at each other. They both pulled their wands out of their pockets. When Mrs. Weasley started to pace, they pointed the wands at themselves and muttered, “Muffliato.”

They both let out a sigh as they’re mother’s voice disappeared and was replaced by a buzzing noise. They leaned back in their chairs, folding their arms behind their heads. It was hard to control their laughter as they watched her make strange gestures and they imagined what she was saying.

She stopped talking and just glared. Of course they didn’t know what she’d said. They quickly cancelled the spell and looked intently at their mother.

”What was that mum?”

Mrs. Weasley was definitely furious. She stormed out of the room mumbling something about them being total failures. Fred and George just looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders.

10. Engorgio

“Engorgio!” The little three year olds watched as their dad made random objects grow. It was so awesome!

“Dad, make that flower bigger,” little Fred said as he pointed at a dandelion.

“That’s silly. Make that grass taller!” George was going to win this one.

The little twins glared at each other. Then an idea seemed to come to them at the same time and the glares disappeared from their faces. They quickly turned back to their father.

“Make us bigger Daddy!”

“As big as Charlie!”

“No, Fred. As big as Daddy!”

The definitely sounded better. Arthur Weasley started to laugh at the adorable twins.

“It doesn’t work like that boys.”

The twins were confused. “Why not?”

Arthur seemed to be at a loss for an explanation. “It just doesn’t. Now, why don’t you two go run off and play?”

The boys were not satisfied with his answer. An idea then struck Fred and he ran and grabbed a twig, George following him.

“If dad won’t do it, we will.” He pointed the stick at George and said, “Engorgio.” Nothing happened. He hit the wand on his hand and tried again. Again, nothing happened. “Huh. My wand must be broken.”

5. Colloportus

Fred and George ran through the corridors. Filch was somewhere behind them and they didn’t know how close he was. Out of nowhere, Filch appeared at the end of the hallway. The twins skidded to a halt. Filch grinned in satisfaction.

Fred and George didn’t know which way to go.

“Over there!” Fred shouted pointing to a classroom.

Both of the boys ran for the classroom. Once inside, George closed the door behind them. He pulled out his wand and said, “Colloportus.”

He backed away from the door, knowing Filch wouldn’t be able to open it for he was a squib. The twins grinned at each other as they heard Filch start to bang on the door.

“You’re going to have to come out of there sometime!” Filch shouted. “And I’ll be here when you do!”

The twins sat in the room in silence until they heard soft snores coming from the other side of the door. They cancelled the spell and tip-toed out, closing the door behind them. The quickly ran back to the common room, not talking until they were inside.

“No one will ever believe him now,” Fred said as the boys shared a triumphant grin.

22. Legilimens

Fred and George sat in the common room and sulked. They’re older brothers were off to Hogsmeade and they were stuck here.

“I don’t understand why first years can’t go,” George said as he stared into the fire.

“I know! It’s total rubbish.”

Then Fred remembered something.

“George, weren’t there passages to Hogsmeade at the Marauder’s Map?”

George looked at Fred and nodded his head yes. Neither of the twins needed to be a Legilimens to know what the other was thinking. A mischievous grin spread across their faces and they both dashed to the dormitory.

Once it was found, they dashed back down the stairs.

“Why are you two in such a rush?” Angelina asked looking between the two boys. “You’re up to something aren’t you?”

They ignored her comment. They tried to push pass her to the portrait hole, but she was rather strong for her age.

“What are you up to? Don’t make me tell Charlie.”

It was not right of her to threaten to tell their older brother.

“The only way you’re finding out what’s going on is if you learn Legilimency,” George said. With that, the boys pushed passed her and headed to the passageway.

29. Obliviate

“I’m telling mum!”

“Ron, aren’t you a little old to be running off to mum?” Fred asked.

“I mean, you’re seventeen now right?”

“Doesn’t matter. Mum would make me just as responsible for what you two are planning to do at Bill and Fleur’s wedding if I don’t tell her.”

Fred and George couldn’t let this plan slip. It was too good to be ruined. George pulled out his wand and pointed it at Ron. He muttered, “Obliviate,” under his breath. He watched as Ron stopped in his tracks. Fred and George grinned at each other.

“Where am I? Better yet, who am I?” Ron asked, a dazed look on his face.

Now the twins were concerned. George hadn’t expected the spell to be that strong. Then a grin spread across their faces that could only mean one thing: they were going to take advantage of this.

“Well you’re fairy princess Rosemary,” Fred said.

“And this is your engagement ball.”

“You’re supposed to marry that man over there.” Fred pointed at Fleur. “His name is Francis.”

Ron grinned widely. Fred and George laughed as Ron walked over to Fleur. They laughed even harder at the expression on her face.

7. Confundus

Fred and George left Charms class in a daze. They hadn’t paid any attention to what Flitwick was saying because they were flipping through the book. There was one that had caught their eye and of course it was the Confundus charm.

As they made their way into the dungeons for double Potions, they were still talking about the charm. They continued talking as they sat down in the seats and even through part of the lesson.

Snape was demonstrating how to make whatever potion they were learning about. Fred and George looked at each other and shared a mischievous grin. Fred took out his wand and, right as Snape was about to pour something into the potion, Fred muttered, “Confundus,” under his breath.

The class burst out in laughter as Snape dumped the ingredient on his foot instead of into the cauldron. Everyone became silent as Snape glared throughout the room. Fred quickly slipped his wand back inside his robes.

“Who is responsible?” No one said a thing. “Well, until someone comes forward you’ll all get-“

Snape’s expression changed as if he forgot what he was going to say. Fred turned to George and whispered, “Great idea.”

13. Flagrate

Fred watched as the flame picture of the dragon disappeared. “Your turn George.”

Fred watched as his brother put out wand. “Flagrate.” George started to move his wand through the air and drew a gnome. He didn’t know why, but he decided to draw one. Fred and George kept at this for quite some time. They had nothing better to do. The common room was so boring today.

Finally, Lee came to join them just as a picture of a quaffle disappeared. He raised his eyebrow as he sat on the couch next to George. “What are you guys doing?”

“Drawing pictures,” the twins said in unison as Fred started to draw something again.

“Okay…” Lee seemed to be confused by what the twins were doing, but joined in anyways. Then Hermione burst into the common room and glared at the group of them.

“What?” The three boys said in unison.

“Are you crazy? You could set this whole place on fire!” The boys only pretended to listen. When she felt that her point had been made, she walked away.

Fred started to draw in flames again. This time it was a girl with really bushy hair and big teeth.

49. Wingardium Leviosa

Fred and George glared at McGonagall from the back of the classroom. It wasn’t right for her to give them detention for speaking their mind. Usually teachers encouraged free expression. To make it even worse, she had given them the lousy task of writing lines.

The twins looked at each other and suddenly an idea seemed to pop into both of their heads at the same time. George pulled out his wand and pointed it at McGonagall's hat. He whispered, “Wingardium Leviosa” and watched as her hat floated off of her head.

Fred began to chuckle because she didn’t even seem to notice that her hat was missing from her head. She shot a glare at the two of them and Fred sat there holding back laughs. George started to make the hat float higher and higher, making it harder and harder for Fred to control his laughter.

They kept receiving glares every now and again, but McGonagall never realized why they were laughing. Once they finished, George replaced the hat on her head and walked out the door without her knowing. The twins laughed all the way down the hallway at her ignorance to the floating hat.

38. Rictusempra

Fred and George watched as another first year tested their fever fudge. All seemed to be going well, until his face got covered in a bunch of unsightly blisters.

“Well, those should go away in a couple of hours. There is nothing to worry about,” Fred said as George wrote down some notes.

“Next!” George bellowed as a very angry Hermione stormed over.

“What are you boys doing?! You know you can’t test these things on first years!”

The twins just looked at each other. “Silly Hermione.”

“They already said that it was all right.”

“It’s still not right! Everyone go study or something!”

All of the first years got up with a grumble, as Hermione stormed back over to Harry and Ron.

“Rictusempra,” George muttered as he pointed his wand at Hermione. She fell over in a fit of giggles and Harry and Ron had no idea what was going on.

“Great idea George,” Fred said as he watched Hermione try to control her laughter. She kept on laughing until George put his wand away. She glared over at the two of them and they just shrugged their shoulders. As far as she knew, they hadn’t done anything wrong.

30. Oppugno

Detention sucks. That’s all that was running through the twins’ minds as they cleaned out cauldrons. The worst part of the whole thing was Snape just sitting there and watching them work. They were each only on their second cauldron as they weren’t allowed to use magic and there was about 30 more to go.

“What is in these things?!” Fred said as he pulled out a glop of gunk that some first year forgot to take out.

“There will be no talking,” Snape said sternly, barely glancing up from his paper work.

Fred mocked Snape as he moved on to the next cauldron. George seemed to be moving faster than Fred was and it was kind of aggravating. Fred was starting to get so frustrated that when Snape seemed even more engrossed in his work, he took his wand and cleaned it with magic. Soon he was caught up with George.

Unfortunately, Snape caught him trying to clean the last one. “I thought I was very clear that you weren’t allowed to use magic.”

George took out his wand and aimed at the things on Snape’s desk. He muttered “Oppugno.” Needless to say, their detention became ten times worse.

46. Tergeo

Fred and George looked up at all of the trophies that awaited their cleaning. They both knew that Filch wasn’t going to stay in the room so they waited for him to leave before they got the real cleaning done.

Fred pulled out his wand and pointed it at a group of trophies and said, “Tergeo.” The dust came off of all of them. “I really don’t know how muggles live without magic. This would be torture if we had to clean all of these without it.”

George nodded his head in agreeance as he cleaned some more. Soon all of the trophies in the room were sparkly and dust free.

“What do we do now? Filch won’t be back for an hour or so,” George said as he turned to face his twin.

Fred got that mischievous grin on his face. “Of course we’re going to do something to mess with Filch.”

As the door knob turned, the boys put the finishing touch on their plan. “See you later Filch.”

They walked away from the trophy room as they heard Filch shout. “Where did all the trophies go?!” Of course they were all still there under a disillusionment charm.

20. Knitting Charm

“Mum why are we helping you knit again?” Fred looked up from what he was doing to see George struggling just as much as he was.

“Because you two thought it was a good idea to leave school and I could use the help.”

Molly went back to knitting using magic. Fred and George were still doing it the muggle way for some reason.

“Can you at least tell us the incantation for the knitting charm?” George asked dropping his knitting needles.

Molly rolled her eyes and told the twins what to use. They both got the hang of it rather quickly and soon their projects were growing in size. Once Molly left the room, George turned to Fred and grinned.

He pointed his wand at the basket of knitting supplies and soon every pair of needles was working at some extravagant blanket. Fred and George leaned back in their chairs.

“What is going on in here?!” The boys looked up as they heard Molly’s very angry voice.

The knitting needles were out of control! The floor by the basket of supplies was covered in completed work. The twins forced a grin and shrugged their shoulders. Molly wasn’t satisfied.

45. Tarantallegra

Fred and George were laughing uncontrollably. Professor Snape was still dancing like crazy and he still didn’t know where the spell had come from. Then he seemed to catch on because he glared at the twins, who were now rolling on the floor.

“You two! To Professor Dumbledore’s office now!”

The twins knew that this really wasn’t a punishment. Dumbledore got too much amusement out of their jokes.

Fred and George sat across from Dumbledore. The old man had a slight smile on his face and the twins wondered how he could be in a good mood when he was seeing them in his office yet again.

“Boys, we all know why you’re here. You two should know by now not to use magic on a teacher. We are still trying to get Professor Snape to stop dancing.”

The twins shared a smirk. They didn’t think that their jinx was that strong.

“Seeing as I can’t not think of any interesting punishments at the moment, lines will do. You will write ‘I will not use Tarantallegra on any professors’ 300 times. Now off to your common room.”

The twins smirked at one another. Dumbledore was such a push over sometimes.

1. Accio

The twins were both squished behind of suit of armor outside of Snape’s office. He had confiscated some of their Skiving Snackboxes and they really needed them back. They were both starting to get really bored and really uncomfortable. They were definitely too tall to keep hiding behind the same suit of armor. It wasn’t like it was first year.

“Really? Does he ever leave his office?”

“Don’t think so George. If he did, he should’ve been gone by now. It’s way past curfew.”

They were starting to get really impatient. They needed those back for business. People were really paying good money for those.

They waited a little while longer. Then they heard footsteps coming down the dungeon stairs. It was Umbridge. And she would definitely be destroying their merchandise.

“Well, I don’t think we can wait any longer Fred.”

“Nope, don’t think we can.”

Once Umbridge was inside Snape’s office, the twins silently hurried towards the dungeon stairs. They needed a quick getaway.

George took out his wand and said, “Accio Skiving Snackboxes.”

They came soaring out of Snape’s office. The boys ran up the stairs as they heard shouts. They were definitely asking Harry to hide these.

14. Horn Tongue

“Are you sure about this Fred? This might not be such a good idea.”

For some reason, George was actually being the voice of reason on this. He didn’t think that Hagrid would like having a horn instead of a tongue, even if he was into weird stuff like that. George really wasn’t one for messing with Hagrid and Lee didn’t seem too keen on the idea either.

“George is right Fred. Let’s not do this.”

“You guys are total wimps. I’m doing this with or without you.”

With that, Fred trudged towards Hagrid’s hut where he was outside tending to the pumpkins. He had a clear shot and had just pointed his wand at Hagrid. Right as he said the incantation, George pushed him and the spell missed, hitting Buckbeak who was lying down next to the pumpkin.

The hippogriff reared up after being hit by the spell. Hagrid looked utterly perplexed as to why the creature didn’t have a normal tongue anymore. The twins bust out in a fit of laughter.

They might have gotten away with it, if Hagrid didn’t hear them. “To Dumbledore’s office now!” They didn’t complain. Dumbledore always gave the most hilarious punishments.

40. Sonorus

“Bets over here! Do you think anyone will get eaten by the dragon? Will everyone survive? Bets over here!”

George’s voice echoed over the grounds as he and Fred stood near the entrance to the quidditch pitch. He watched as some first years put some money on the fact that Diggory was going to lose some hair. Both of the twins found this bet rather amusing so they gave the small children a smile.

“Using Sonorus was a great idea Fred,” George said, after he stopped the spell.

“Thanks. Now we’re sure to be heard.” Fred smiled at a third year girl who put her money on Krum beating the dragon the fastest. He just shook his head as she ran to join her giggly friends.

“Bets over here!!!” George’s voice was bellowing once again.

They were soon interrupted by a very angry McGonagall walking they’re way.

“What are you doing?!” She looked between the two of them. “You are not allowed to accept bets! Especially when it involves people’s well being!”

Neither one said a word. Their silence was ruined when a first year came over and handed Fred his money. The boys just grinned and shrugged their shoulders.

17. Imperio

“I’m not going to do it!”

“Come Lee! It’s not going to hurt you.”

“Besides, we’ll probably be the ones to get in trouble for it.”

Fred and George had been at this for about twenty minutes now. Lee would just not agree to put stink bombs in Umbridge’s office. For some reason, he just wasn’t going for it.

“If we go anywhere near it, she’ll punish us immediately and we won’t get to plant them. And what’s the fun in that.”

Lee just shook his head. “I’m not doing this. And that’s that.”

The twins turned to each other and grinned. “Then will just have to use Imperio on you.” The unison thing made it even more creepy.

“That’s an unforgivable curse!”

“Come on Lee, do you really think we care?” Fred put his hand on Lee’s shoulder.

Lee looked like he was actually scared by this. If they used the Imperius Curse on him, he wouldn’t remember a thing. They could make him do more horrible things than what they’d originally intended.

“All right I’ll do. But only because you two could make me do horrible things.”

The twins shared a victory grin. They always got their way.

24. Lumos

“I can’t see a thing!”

“Will you be quiet back there!”

“But Fwed, it’s dawk! And I can’t see anything. Can’t choo use lumos like daddy?”

Fred and George had been followed by little Ronnikins. All he did was complain and they weren’t going to put up with it anymore.

“Ron, why don’t you just go back inside?”

“Yeah, you’re making too much noise.”

“But, I can’t see the way back Fwed. How am I s’posed to get back if I can’t see?”

The three year old sounded like he was on the verge of tears. The twins looked at one another, knowing full well that if Ron cried one of their parents would find them out here. They both knew that they would get in a lot of trouble for being out of bed this late.

“Ron, just follow right behind me all right?”

He sniffled. “Otay George.”

Just then, the lights in the house went on inside. They looked at each other. Then Molly stepped outside and they knew that it would be worse than they thought.

“FRED AND GEORGE WEASLEY! YOU BRING YOURSELVES AND YOUR BROTHER BACK INTO THIS HOUSE NOW!” They were definitely in for it.

16. Impedimenta

Fred and George were really going all out for this one. They had rigged water balloons to launch themselves whenever Umbridge or Snape walked by. They were just finishing rigging at as George heard her talking to someone right down the hall.

“Hurry up Fred! Don’t want to get caught do we?”

They both grinned knowing that getting caught was inevitable. They got blamed for everything that went wrong in the school, even if someone else did it. Finally, the rig was set and the twins headed down the corridor so that they were out of eyesight but within earshot.

All of a sudden there was a loud splashing noise as the balloons launched. They heard her shriek and couldn’t help but laugh. “Who. Did. This! Speak up now or everyone in this corridor is in trouble!!”

The twins held back their laughter. “What’s wrong Delores?” They heard Snape ask her. Snap. Another round of balloons was shot off. "Impedimenta!" Fred and George couldn’t hold their laughter any longer. Soon there was a very angry (and wet) Umbridge standing in front of them. “My office now.” Umbridge was not joking. The twins saluted her before going to the office.

9. Disapparate

Fred and George sat there while their mother lectured them in front of the whole family. They really didn’t need this along with all of the cleaning that they were being forced to do. Really, couldn’t they just have the slightest bit of fun?

“Just because you boys can use magic outside of school doesn’t mean that you can use it against your sister!”

The twins looked over at Ginny who looked like incredibly angry. It took a lot for her to go to Molly.

“But we didn’t mean to!”

“It wasn’t our fault she walked in the room while we were cleaning it!” Fred protested.

“But cleaning the room does not require using Wingardium Leviosa to make everything fly around it!”

The twins hated admitting that their mother had a point. It even made them slightly sick to their stomachs.

“Well, we don’t want to cause any more trouble.”

“So, we’ll just go back to our room.” George said grinning at Fred.

With that there were two loud pops as the twins disapparated. “Now you’re in more trouble! You do not disapparate when I’m yelling at you!”

They cringed as they heard the pop resonate through their room. Oops.
