Drabble 1: #69 Slap

Viktor was walking out of the castle, not paying any attention to his surroundings as he noticed Hermione sitting by herself near the lake. Smirking, he began to walk towards her when he walked right into a fifth year Slytherin. SLAP! The Slytherin girl sneered at him, making Viktor smile terrified. Blushing furiously, Viktor shook it off, apologized thickly and walked up to Hermione, his face stinging as everyone laughed around him.

"Hermy-own," He said softly. She looked up at him, smiling expectantly.

"Yes?"

"Um…Vould you have a quill I could borrow please?"

Hermione broke out in tears, running away.

It was Christmas time in the castle and Viktor was looking forward to opening his presents. He wore a goofy grin as the days got closer to Christmas, wandering around singing old Christmas carols. Everyone around him watched curiously as the day before Christmas he jumped up on the table in the massive eating hall and sang out,

"All I want for Christmas is a pair of socks, a pair of socks, and a pair of socks…"

The hall rang with laughter as Karkaroff came up to him, handing him an early present, which turned out to be… a book.

He woke up with a start, jumping out of bed and getting dressed. In his haste, he forgot his shoes. Not noticing, Viktor ran out of the castle and towards Herbology, getting there just in time. The bell rang and everyone walked into the greenhouse to find the professor sitting there, waiting for them.

"Viktor, are you forgetting something?" The professor said. Viktor looked down, noticing his bare feet and blushed, turning around to get his shoes. On his way out, he didn't notice the pile of dirt and tripped, ripping his robes and making the class roar with laughter.

The rain poured down heavily as Viktor sat by the fireplace, thinking about his future. He never noticed the barn owl fluttering towards him, dripping wet. The owl hooted as it landed and he scowled as he took the vivacious purple envelope from it. Opening it, he read,

"Dear Mr. Krum.

We are pleased to announce you have been accepted into the highly esteemed British Quidditch team. Find enclosed a list of items you'll need to prepare yourself for our highly intense training sessions."

Madam Bulgrode"

He scowled as he turned the parchment around and saw two words…

"Got you!!!"

Viktor scowled as he spun around to see the gleeful expressions on his friends' faces. With an evil grin on his face, he picked up his wand, conjuring a giant snowball filled with sticky sap and enchanted it to come at them, hitting them over and over. They tried to run, but were cornered as the enchanted snowball drifted towards them, dripping with the syrupy substance.

"This'll teach you to trick me like that!" Viktor said with a hideous grin as he flicked his wand, causing the snowball to explode over the two youth, drenching them in sap.

They stood there, dripping in sap as Viktor began to chortle. The sap began to stick to their clothes, making it almost impossible for them to move properly and the boys began to trip over their feet as they tried to get to Viktor.

"You're in for it now fly boy." Goldien said as he whipped out his wand, the sap oozing from his hand. Viktor continued to laugh even harder as he sat back down, threw the parchment into the fire and began his homework.

Suddenly, the other boy began to sneeze, shouting and laughing,

"We give, you win!"

Dinner was over and the hall was buzzing as the delicious desserts appeared. Victor's mouth watered as his favorite dish; chocolate covered crickets, stared at him. The tiny chocolate crickets twinkled, beckoning him forward.

"What's that?" Someone called and Viktor turned his head for a split second, not knowing his friend had charmed his dish. Turning back, Viktor took a cricket, swallowed and opened his mouth. Instead of speaking, he began to yodel very loudly. It rang through the halls of the castle as Viktor tried to stop, glaring, as his two friends howled in laughter still sticky in sap.

Tick.

Time seemed to stand still as the Bludger smashed into his nose. The crowd shrieked as his head snapped back and pain shot through his face.

He was falling now, the wind rustling through his hair, blood beginning to pour from his nose.

Tock.

The ground was getting closer now, the sound of the rushing wind screaming in his ears. The crowd was howling in the distance, hoping he would be okay.

Tick.

He was slowing now; the wind dying down, the blood stopping. The pain died down as he rested his eyes.

The game over, Viktor had won.

The Muggle car shone in the daylight, enticing Viktor forward. His gaze followed the contours of the vehicle, which was a light blue Ford Anglia. Smirking, Viktor opened the front door, slipped in and started the engine. The engine kicked in perfectly, giving off a little exhaust, but then began to buckle and jerk around.

"Vhat the?!" Viktor cried out as the front seat ejected him out of the car. Landing on his backside, he turned around to see the car spinning its tires, almost laughing.

"Honk honk!!" the car honked its horn and fled into the distance, gravel flying.

It was over; after all his hard work and training, Viktor had missed the Snitch, giving the win to Ireland. The crowd stood, booing at him as he landed in a pile of mud, splattering his robes. He wiped the blood from his nose, which had been smashed by a Bludger and scowled. Walking over to the benches, he sat down, his eyes downcast.

"Its ok mate, you tried." Someone shouted from the crowd. Viktor turned around and glared down at the poor lad. The depression was setting in and instead of scowling; he laughed as his team surrounded him.

The room was noisy with the sound of frogs croaking in an untimely fashion, making Viktors head spin with annoyance as he tried to study. There was nothing weird about this class except for one thing, there was no professor or students. Picking up his wand, he began to work, trying to transfigure a book into a cat; it was harder than it looked as the others found when their wands backfired turning them into frogs that were now hopping around lazily. The door opened,

"Viktor, what happened?" Viktor looked up,

"Nothing, it's just Transfiguration class professor."

"Oh, Okay then"

Once everyone was re-transfigured back into heir normal selves, Viktor went on to Muggle Studies, one of the most boring classes ever.

"I think I vill skip class today." Viktor said to himself as he stood outside the door.

"Viktor? Can I come too?" asked a 5th year student who was also taking the class.

"If you vant to vatch me flirt with the girls, then go ahead." He replied as he stalked off, scowling.

"Wow brains and brawns…what a man!" a seventh year girl said as he breezed past her.

"Yes, and he can fly too!" said a portrait.

Walking back into the castle after Muggle Studies was over Viktor went and waited excited about his favorite class, Ancient Runes.

"Hey Viktor, how was the flirting?" called out the same girl from before.

"It was better than before." Viktor muttered to him self as the door opened, revealing the classroom. He sat down and jumped up,

"Ouch!" he cried out as he pulled a tack from his backside. The class roared with laughter as the professor came in chuckling.

"That's what you get for flirting with a Boggart that looked like a beautiful woman Viktor!"

Viktor blush and left.

The stars twinkled as Viktor raised his telescope and started blankly into the eyepiece, looking for the planet Uranus. The whole Astronomy class watched, anticipating something. A First year came up to the professor handing her a note and look closely at Viktor.

"Vhat is it?"

"Nothing…I have to go." She said as she left. Viktor shook his head and turned back to his telescope when he noticed everyone watching him.

"VHAT?!" he shouted, irritated. His friend, Goldien poked him and whispered,

"Look in a mirror."

Viktor did so and noticed two black circles over his eyes.

"Oh, very funny."

Daydreaming

She was walking towards him, her eyes sparkling in the moonlight, her hair glistening with raindrops. Her dress was a wonderful shade of blue, with frills on the bottom which accentuated her lovely form. She stopped in front of him, her cheeks getting pink as she stared at him.

"I have been waiting for this moment." She said softly, caressing his cheek. He smiled, dimples peeking out of his skin as he replied,

"So have I, my darling." He reached forward to run his hand through her hair when…

"Mr. Krum, is this Divination class, or a sappy romance novel?"

The Thestral stared back at him, its hollow eyes peering into his very soul. Care of Magical Creatures class was creeping Viktor out and he didn't like it one bit. He couldn't see any Thestral, no matter where his friend pointed.

"Can't you see it?" The boy asked his voice getting harsh from saying the same words over again.

"No, I can't see the what? No."

Viktor said for the millionth time, sounding exasperated. The professor looked over at them waved her hand and Viktor jumped as something brushed up against him.

"That was a Thestral" his friend said laughing.

The common room was quiet and the students were sleeping soundly, snug in their beds. He snuck quietly to the portrait hole, having an idea about where to play his trick. Pulling his invisibility cloak over himself, he slipped out into the castle.

Once inside the room, he gathered his potions and set to work. Twenty minutes later, it was ready. Quietly going back to his dorm, Viktor was excited.

The next morning at breakfast, Viktor went down to the hall and howled with laughter as everyone did the moon walk and spoke in limericks.

"Happy April Fools!" Viktor shouted.

Viktor sat in Defense against the Dark Arts classroom, scowl in place. He had just been stunned for the tenth time and he was getting sore.

"Provessor, why do you insist on putting the spell on me? There's other students here you know!" he said, getting up again and grabbing his wand. The students watched as the Professor walked up to him, smirked and said.

"It's fun, you have to be quick on your feet, how you became the worlds best seeker I'll never know, you can't even dodge a Stunning spell!"

Viktor hook his head and fell, stunned again.

It was nighttime and the castle was dark and quiet. Viktor thought now would be the perfect time to get his ridiculous pajamas on. Pulling one leg on, the hideous fabric rubbed against his skin and he shuddered to think of what his friends would say. When he had the pajamas on, he quietly sneaked to his bed, but not before his friend Goldien saw him and shouted,

"Look at the cute little bunny rabbit!!"

Viktor was dressed in a one piece pair of pink pajamas, which his aunt had bought him. He fell into bed, slamming the curtains closed.

His face was scrunched up in concentration; the noise level rose as students finished their homework and began to mess around. He put his quill between his teeth, biting down he thought about the essay he had to write for Arithmancy. It was tough; he hated math, hated anything to do with numbers.

"I'll never finish the essay off!" he grumbled as he flung the parchment, books and his quill into his bag, scowling.

"Aw come on Viktor, is the math too hard for you?" his friend jeered.

Viktor took out his wand, "Perfectus Totalus" he said before walking away.

The professor droned on about the History of Magic, making Viktor sleepy. It was tiring, listening to a ghost give off the most boring lecture on the Goblin wars. He yearned for his old professor back at Durmstrang, why he had to listen to this ghost, he had no idea. His head hit the table with a thud, making everyone look at him.

"Wake up!" someone poked him hard in the ribs, making him yelp in shock. He looked up, watching the professor, who looked as if he'd been speaking the whole time, oblivious to his surroundings and the noise.

"Snowball fight!!"

Someone shouted and the snow began to fly. It was an all out war on the grounds. Viktor wanted nothing to do with it as he walked along the frozen lake's edge, dodging the projectiles that came at him. Suddenly WHACK! A snowball nailed him on the back of the head, causing him to fall to the ground, dazed.

"You want to start something?" he smirked at the boy. With an evil grin, he picked up the kid, ran towards the hill and pushed the kid off, watching as the kid became a giant snowball which hit everyone.

She stared at him, tears running down her cheeks. He had blown it; it was too much for her. She walked away from him, her brown hair billowing behind her, not wanting to see his face.

"Herm-own-ninny." He called, chasing after her, knowing he had one last chance to prove his love. Grabbing her hand, he gently spun her around and held her firmly. She tried getting away, but he turned her tear-streaked face towards him and kissed her passionately. Time seemed to stop. He backed up holding a rose and said as she caught her breath,

"Happy Valentines Day."

Viktor closed his eyes drifting into nothingness, having a flashback from his past...

He was running through the maze at the Triwizard Tournament, his wand alight. Suddenly, his mind went blank. He had the sudden urge to Crucio someone; his face became dark as someone ran into him, Cedric Diggory. Cedric gawked; saying something Viktor couldn't hear as he raised his wand,

"Crucio!"

Cedric jumped out of the way just in time as Harry came storming up, his wand outstretched. Viktor turned and ran, but not before he felt something knock him back, making him black out…

Viktor awoke, shaking.

Being careful, Viktor slipped into the darkened classroom, listening for any sound of the inhabitants. He knew they were there waiting for him to make a sound. Suddenly he sneezed and the room lit up,

"Happy Birthday Viktor!"

Everyone cried as they jumped out of their hiding places. Viktor sat down scowling, drooping his shoulders. He hated his birthday with a passion. Someone handed him a gift and he opened it. Inside was a giant box of Honeydukes Chocolate with some Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans. Viktor smiled a genuine smile and dug into the chocolate, his sweet tooth fulfilled.
