#32 Common Room

“Aaah!” Brody screamed so loud the whole Common Room could hear. The spider climbed on her again. Had she not told him that he was not to have the thing near her? She was second to a spider. How ruuude!

“Torr! I told you not to have that thing near me!” she snarled as she slapped him on the arm. He was lucky that she didn’t do it harder. But she loved him, so she would be nice.

“What the heck?” he snapped as he was suddenly hit. She could be so hormonal at times.

She sighed at him. Boys.

#75 Yodel

Torin felt that he might go deaf. What was that awful sound? It sounded like someone was in pain or something. Was Brody hurt?

He ran to where the noise was coming from. “Don’t worry, Brody! I’ll save you!!”

Brody blinked as Torin suddenly appeared. What was he talking about? “Tor, I was trying to yodel.” She pouted. Did she really sound bad? She had thought that she was amazing because she was Brody Summers and she was great at everything.

He burst into laughter.

“Torr! Stop it!! Let’s see you try yodelling.” She glared at him before storming off.

#98 Pyjamas

Brody giggled as she saw Torin come out in his Finding Nemo pyjamas. “Tor, there is no way that I’m going to be seen with you dressed like that.” Typical of him to decide to wear those to a pyjama party; hers were so much better. They had Tinkerbell. She looked like a Queen in them, because she was a Queen.

Torin rolled his eyes at her. “You will, because you love me.”

She smiled at him. “Yeah, I do. Now go change into something else because you look stupid.”

He sighed. She just had bad taste in some things.

#61 Kiss

Torin had no idea why she had done it, but Brody had actually agreed to go to the movies with him. Okay, so Sylvia had to come with them, but still... At least it was something.

Fyo was going to be so pleased with him for managing to keep up his end of the deal. And now the boy would write that poem about Professor Bunbury for him.

But that didn’t really matter too much to him at the moment as he looked into Brody’s big blue eyes. She was absolutely perfect.

He suddenly leaned in and kissed her. Amazing.

#37 Animagus

Animagi are so interesting, Torin thought as he was looking through a library book while sitting at the Hufflepuff Table. Maybe later..

“What you looking at, baby?”

Brody was sitting beside him now. Where had she come from?

“I’m looking at a book on Animagi so that I can become a tarantula Animagus."

“Eww!! Tor!!” Brody looked at him like he was insane, and Reese came running over.

“What’s wrong?” the nosy Prefect asked.

“Tor wants to be a tarantula Animagus!!”

Both girls looked at him like he was nuts.

“I was joking.” He rolled his eyes at them. Girls.

#5 Astronomy

Torin sighed as he tried to help Brody study for her Astronomy OWL. At least she was better at it than Reese was. But then who wouldn’t be?

Only problem was that she was getting frustrated. And that was not cool!

He closed the book, sighing. “Are you ever going to get this stuff?” Normally he wouldn’t sound like this with her, but her pouting and lack of interest was too much.

“Tor! Stop being so mean,” she snapped at him. He was being mean to her when she was lost.

“I’m sorry. Want to go for a walk instead?”

#27 Owl

Torin was looking in the owl emporium for the perfect owl for Brody. She really would need one so that she could send letters to all her friends and not have to use his.

“See any you like?” he asked her curiously as he looked at an adorable baby snowy owl. Awww. That would be a perfect one for her.

Brody shook her head at him as she glanced around. She didn’t really like this place. It smelled weird. “Tor, can we leave?”

She sighed and then she saw the one that he was looking at.

“I want that one."

#49 Yule Ball

“TORIN KANE!” Brody yelled as she approached her idiotic boyfriend. He was taking Gold to the Yule Ball. Did he want to hurt her more?

His girlfriend was on a warpath, and Torin was scared for his very life. “Yes?”

“You're taking Gold to the Yule Ball!” That hurt. She was supposed to be his date. And what about Dylan? Even if he was a jerk.

“But you have OWLs this Term,” he reminded her.

“So does she, you idiot!” Seriously how did he manage to pass last Term if he was so stupid? He was hopeless.

“Oh yeah.”

#63 Mooch

Brody was looking though Torin’s drawer for his wallet so that she could get some money to go shopping. She almost always used his money to get things, so he wouldn’t really care. And besides, she would buy him something as well, so he couldn’t complain.

Torin watched as she was going through his drawer yet again. “You know I’m not going to have anymore money if you keep taking it, Brody.”

She turned and smirked at him. “That’s not true. You know I have a lot of money.”

“Yeah, ‘cause you always use mine,” he muttered under his breath.

#57 Gape

“Tik Tok on the clock, but the party don’t stop,” Reese sang as she tried to break dance. And Reese trying to act gangster was one of the scariest things that anyone could ever witness.

The sad thing was that this girl was a singer.

Torin and Brody gaped with their eyes wide open and then turned to look at each other.

And hadn’t she learned her lesson not to rap when he had sat on her? Apparently not. He would have to talk to her later.

“Let’s leave before she sees us,” he whispered, as he slowly backed away.

#13 Quidditch

Torin had fallen asleep on the couch yet again. And dreams of Quidditch were floating around in his head again. It was always Quidditch or cars.

Brody walked in right as he reached out into the air and grabbed for the Snitch. She sighed. She knew what he was dreaming about, and she didn’t like it.

She went over to the couch and sat right on him, making him startle awake.

“Get off me, Brody!” He did not like this. She wasn’t really heavy or anything, but it was not cool.

“You’re supposed to dream about me instead of Quidditch.”

#95 Snowball

Torin loved snow. In fact, he could never go to Greece during the Winter, because he would miss at least some of it. Still hated the freezing cold weather though.

This was why he was bundled up really warmly as he set about making a big snowman. He loved snowmen. He loved making snowmen. And he already had made a snow version of Brody. A pretty Snow Queen.

Then SPLAT! He was covered in snow.

And Brody was laughing.

“That is so not cool, Brody!” He reached down into the snow and gathered some up.

Two could play that game.

Torin hated going shoe shopping when Tammy was there. You know why? Because whenever she came, he was forced to look at female shoes and listen to them fangirl over them.

Why couldn’t he have just come with Brody alone? Then she wouldn’t leave his side every few minutes to go look at what Tammy wanted to show her.

But he still loved his best friend a lot.

“Look at these shoes, Torin! They are orange and glittery! They would go great with the dress I plan to buy you.”

Did he mention that he hated shoe shopping with Tammy?

Brody was trying to learn how to knit, because she needed something to do with her time. It was boring, so she had a problem keeping with any of it. She just gave up in the middle of a sweater for Torin, and she had only finished a bit of her dress for Kandy.

She just couldn’t help boredom, could she?

“Why don’t you try knitting socks?” Torin suggested as he walked up to her. “That way if you give up, I’ll at least have one of them.”

She smiled. “I knew there was a reason why I married you.”

ZOMG!! It had been raining outside, and now there was a rainbow. That could only mean one thing...

He ran away from the window and towards Brody, who was sitting at the kitchen table and eating breakfast. “Tor, why do you look so excited?”

“It just rained outside! There’s a rainbow!” He looked at her expectantly as he waited for her to piece two and two together.

“So?” What was he getting at? Rainbows were pretty, but she was prettier than them.

“So I’m going out to find a pot of gold.” He ran out of the room.

She blinked.

#47 Portkey

“Where do you want to go?” Torin asked Brody curiously as he grabbed an empty firewhiskey bottle.

He wanted to take her somewhere for a small vacation. They needed a bit of a break with six kids to look after, and a random place was a great idea.

At times like this he loved being a Wizard. They could go anywhere they wanted in no time and not have to take a plane. Though he did prefer Muggle transportation in general.

“I want to go to Australia, because that’s where we had our honeymoon.” She loved Australia.

“Sure thing, love.”

#88 Sweet Tooth

Torin loved baking. He just didn’t love it when Brody tried doing it.

Every time she tried making him something like a cake or a pie, she ended up getting half of the ingredients on the floor. Or worse.

Today was one of those days.

He entered the kitchen to see Brody covered in flower and eggs all over the floor.

“What on earth are you doing?” he asked as he tried so hard not to laugh. She didn’t like it when he laughed at her.

“I’m making you a cake because you love cakes.”

“How is this a cake?”

#79 Fire

For what seemed to be the millionth time, the fire department had been called to come over the apartment because Brody had started a fire.

“How many times do I have to tell you that you can’t put metal in a microwave, Brody? Or in a toaster? You blew both up.” He glanced around at the destruction. It was a good thing that they could fix everything magically, because otherwise everything would be hopeless.

“Well, I’m sorry. I can’t help it that I don’t get Muggle things.” She felt bad. How was she supposed to know when she was Pureblood?

#21 Veela

Torin did not want to have this conversation with Brody. He did not want to read that letter to her. But he knew that he had to, she wanted to comfort him. She wanted to be there for him like Tammy was, and that meant that she had to hear what the letter said.

He read the paper to her then tossed it into the fireplace.

Now Brody knew about everything. About breaking his heart.

“Tor, I’m so sorry..” She squeezed his hand. “She never should have done this to you, and neither should I.”

That Veela had ruined everything.

#87 Plaid

Torin had made the best Halloween costume ever. Well, the best one that he could make at the last minute with only a piece of plaid fabric at his disposal.

Finally done, he left the bedroom and started heading down the stairs. Brody would be so impressed with his creativity.

But where was she?

Aaah, she was in the living room wearing an angel costume. Awww. She looked so cute!

Too bad she was laughing at him.

“Torin, what the hell are you wearing?”

He frowned. That wasn’t the reaction that he had wanted. “I’m going as a Scotsman.”

Sigh.

#14 Hogwarts, a History

What was Brody reading?

Torin blinked at her as he walked up to the sofa in the common room and took a seat beside her. He tried to lift it up so that he could see the cover, but she swatted at him.

“Wow, I can’t believe how much stuff there is in here.. I’m learning so much.” She loved learning about Hogwarts, it was an awesome school.

“What are you reading?”

“Hogwarts, a History?” Honestly. He had been at this school a year longer than she had. Had he no idea?

“Oh. I use my copy as a paperweight.”

#34 Parseltongue

“Hissss,” Torin muttered as he leaned over the cot. “Hisss hisss hisss.”

That was the sound that snakes made, and he was teaching Tammy all the animals. He had already taught her cow, duck, pig and chicken.

“Hissss.”

“What on earth are you doing?” Brody asked as she walked in the room. Why was he leaning over the crib and hissing? Her boyfriend was so odd.

“I’m telling her that she has the prettiest mummy ever in Parseltongue.”

“You are so weird sometimes, Torin. ”

“Hisssss hissss,” he muttered. “Now I’m telling her that her mummy is also the meanest.”

#44 Ford Anglia

Torin wasn’t sure how he felt about Brody learning to drive. What if she got hurt? He didn’t want her to end up in the hospital.

This is why he was in the passenger seat of the Ford Anglia; if anything happened to his wife, he wanted to be there.

“Relax, Torin,” Brody commented with a roll of her eyes as she checked the mirror to see if everything was clear for her to back out of the driveway.

She put her hand on the clutch, but instead of reversing, she went forward... and through the closed garage door.

“Oops.”

Torin could hear Brody giggling walked in to see what she was finding so funny. She was sitting on the bed with a photo album spread out before her.

“What’s so funny?” He went over to her and tried to see what she was looking at.

“Your face in this picture.. You always have to pull funny faces.” In this one they were in the pumpkin patch and he was acting gangster. That was right after they had become friends again.

“I like pulling funny faces?” He didn’t do serious.

“I know... And you like making me look stupid too.”

#41 Thestrals

Brody sighed as she flipped through the Care of Magical Creatures textbook. She was bored and she didn’t want to be studying for her NEWTs while she was with Torin for Christmas. She wanted to stay with him, not go back.

“Tor, I don’t want to study.” She flipped through the book some more while he ignored her. Typical Torin, busy reading his Shakespeare plays.

“Eww,” she said as she landed on the Thestral page. They looked so creepy.

He glanced over to see what she was looking at. “I can see those,” he told her casually.

She shuddered. Gross.
