About this role-play:
In this Role play Leelee Blaze and her brother Edward Blaze have just taken custody of their cousin Minerva Wheatborn after her family was killed in a plane crash while she was Hogwarts this past term. This thread will have family events as well as gatherings of Minerva's friends and Edward and Leelee's friends. They will grow as a family and become stronger together. Leelee is hoping to get a job at the ministry this year, Edward is a traveler, and Minerva is headed into her third year at Hogwarts.
First Scene:
It's been a few weeks since Minerva has moved in and the new family of three is trying to get adjusted to each other as well as to their new lives. Leelee decides to have a cookout and invite friends of Minerva's as well as Edward's and her own over.

Daniel watched as she got up and went to the kitchen. before she yelled out a question.. instead of yelling back he stood up and went to the kitchen and stood to one side "Well since you are cooking.. anything you cook is fine.. even if its just a small sandwich.. but then it depends what you can make from what you have in here. Basically the customer" he pointed to himself "will have to eat whatever the chef" he gestured towards Leelee "decides she wants to make.. and the customer cannot refuse" he chuckled as he laid out his idea in front of her as he continued watching her look round the kitchen to see what she had in the cabinets.

Leelee chuckled as he said anything. She flicked her wrist and things started moving around the kitchen. "How about Lasagna, salad, and rolls" she said as he came into the kitchen. She pulled open the fridge and pulled out a bottle of wine, "Do you like red?" she said with a smile. It was nice to cook for someone who might actually enjoy it. Edward always was in a hurry and Minerva could have cared less. She began to hum a song as the food floated around getting itself ready. "It should be done in about thirty minutes. Wine?"

Dan went quiet to listen to her hum.. he almost missed her asking him if he wanted wine because he was too busy getting lost "Sure.. no worries.. er.. yeah why not? its not like I have to go back to work anytime soon.. we can go a little crazy" he chuckled.. he then realised it was just them two.. having dinner.. if only he could have turned it into a date.. well he still could. "Leelee I will be back soon.. I just need to pop out for a little while" he said kissing her forehead "I will be back I promise" he smiled
He left her house and was gone for about 20mins before he returned.. he didnt return to the kitchen right away.. after a few minutes he returned and came back to where he was standing not long before.. "Well I am back now.. in time for dinner" he smiled as he tried to get his breath back.. without her knowing that he had rushed to do whatever he wanted to do.

Leelee handed him the glass of wine and was moving around, she flicked her wand and the table began to set. She looked at him as he said he was going out. "You just got here, did you leave your other girlfriend and have to go back to her already?" she chuckled at her own joke. "You know I can find you, so don't even try run away." She went back to getting things ready "Don't be late for dinner whatever you are going to do it should be ready in a half hour."
After Daniel left she finished getting things ready and went into the study. She needed to check a few things on the files she had left undone during her trip. She sat down and began to file the completed cases. She scanned the names on the files as she went. She came across a name that made her freeze it was Minerva's file. She opened it going through every page. She closed the cabinet and left the file lay. She knew Minerva would want to look at it one day and she was going to let her.

I will be just a second." he smiled a little as he left the kitchen and within a few seconds he came back.. with the reason he had left Leelee's house for. "Here you go sweetheart.. these are for you" he smiled as he handed her the roses.. "I didnt know if you were a roses type of woman or not.. so I thought this would be ok .. next time I can get a bigger bunch if you like these" he smiled "and that was the reason I left .. not a girlfriend.. aaanndd these" he said as he put the candelsticks complete with candles on the table and lit them. There it was all ready for their date.. that he had planned.. he hoped she wouldnt mind that he wanted to turn this evening into a date.. he was glad she was back and wanted to make their first evening since her return a little special.. he then went to her side and pulled out a chair "Please take a seat" he grinned as he held out her seat for her

She loved roses, she smelled them and grabbed her wand flicking it a vase with water came to her. She placed the flowers in the vase and put them in the middle of the table. "Candles are nice too." She was about to sit down when her chair was being pulled out for her she looked at him for a few seconds and then sat down. "I'm not use to this kind of treatment. Most men are just afraid of me more then try to romance me." She gave him a sweet smile and put the lasagna on the plate. "So what has been going on with you since I have been gone?"

Daniel had a big smile on his face as she approved of the flowers that he had got for her "Well I wanted to do something special for you since it has been weeks since I last saw you.. so.. I came up with this" he continued smiling... as she had them arranged in the middle of the table.. he couldnt believe that she actually liked the roses.. mental note to get a bigger bunch next time she was out on a bigger business trip.. and the candles were nice as well? he was glad she liked them.. it was his chance to make this nice and he had
He was surprised when she looked at him for a few seconds before explaining why she had.. and he couldnt believe what she told him.. "They are? Well I like to romance a woman.. and you are the only woman in my life and the one for me.. so I figured.. why not.. and if you didnt like it then this would have been the first and last time I did this for you.. but since you like it.. you can expect more of the same" he smiled as he started planning more of these.. but a little different each time.. but how was the question.. he thought as he took his seat after she had sat down
Daniel smiled as she served the lasagne and looked at her as she asked him a question "Oh er.. nothing much really.. just went and carried on working at my muggle job.. a sort of catch-up on all the paperwork.. and thinking of you as well as counting down the days until you returned" he smiled.. wishing he hadnt said that.. now she would think that he was clingy or something.. and made a mental note to keep those to a minimum.. and so to avoid her gaze he looked at his lasagne and took a bite of it "Wow! this is really good.. you need to cook more often.. maybe I should come here for lunch too" he chuckled jokingly as he looked at her.. wow.. he did a good job in choosing the candles.. she looked.. great in the candle light.. good thing they were alone.

Leelee smiled she was thrilled by the surprise. She took her fork and began to eat her lasagna as she listened to him talk. She felt herself blush as he said he counted down the days for her return. "Your very sweet. I am really not use to this treatment. Usually when guys here about my job they see me as a monster or other words.."She took a drink of her wine and then smiled again. "Well we will see about the lunches. I have a business to run myself. I have three more interviews this week and I need to get moving on the Ameliah case." She then thought of Minerva's file. "So I was filing upstairs waiting for dinner to cook and came across Minerva's file. I think I might give it to her if she would like to see it. What do you think?

Daniel smiled.. as she.. wait she blushed? she actually found all that sweet? he didnt think that she would.. man he had Leelee all wrong! she liked roses and candles.. and sweet words he had just said.. wow just when he thought he couldnt love her anymore.. he just did.. "I can be sweet sometimes.. well I guess they didnt know you very well.. cause if they had looked past your job then they would have seen what a great woman you really are.. .. and I have seen how you care for your family like Minerva..you aint a monster at all" he smiled.. and counting himself lucky that no-one had seen her the way he saw her right now.. a beautiful.. loving and caring woman.. who had an.. unusual job.. that wasnt pleasant at times.. but he still looked past all that and saw her for her.. not her job.
He nodded as she wanted to see about the lunches.. "Of course not a problem.. 3 more interviews?" he questioned himself mainly.. so maybe she would be going away again quite soon.. good thing he made this evening into a date before she had to run off again.. he thought about her question "Well I am sure she would like to see the file.. but then again it could bring up alot of hurtful memories for her.. depending on whats in that file.. I guess you gotta tread carefully... from what I have heard from you she went through quite alot.. I am not sure she would want to be reminded of that.." he then thought a little "I guess you could ask her if she wants to see it.. that way she knows that it could bring up old memories and prepare her for what could be in that file" he closed his eyes for a second or two.. he always rambled on like that.. he had to cut that down.. or she would be outta.. wait no HE would be outta here before you could say Daniel Steve Turner.

Leelee continued to eat her food. Once she was done she got up from the table and began cleaning up the kitchen. She flicked her wand for dishes to begin washing themselves and then she turned. "This has been a great evening. I'm so glad it turned out this way."
"Well I know she went through hell and back, but she is a strong girl. She has Blaze blood in her. We don't sit lightly to anything. We push the limits and never say no. I know her softer sides must come from the muggle. She is very self conscious and does not see herself as worthy. That would have never come from our side. We can be a little sure of our selves to put it nicely." she knew that was egotistical to say, but it was the truth, look at Edward she thought. "I think when..if she comes home for holiday I will give it to her then. I know it's not the file she wants, but it will have to do. It might help her see what exactly we do on the case. We are not the people that take and locked her in that horrible room, we are not the monster who.." she was holding a glass that broke in her hand as she felt the anger come back. Daniel watched as the dishes began to wash themselves after they had finished eating and he smiled "Yes I agree it has been a great evening.. I am glad too" he then listened as she told him about Minerva.. ok so Blaze women were strong.. yeah he saw that in Leelee.. but even if she didnt know it.. there was a little of a soft side to her too.. he thought as he listened more.. he was about to say something when the glass in her had broke.. he rushed over without a moments hesitation as she turned to clean it up... and sealed it up.. "Are you ok?.. hey dont be sorry" he said as he looked at her "Yeah I guess." he said as he thought about the point she stopped talking and the glass broke.. so there was a little more to what happened last summer.. that he didnt know.. but he didnt really need to know.. right? if Leelee wasnt involved in that.. then he didnt need to know "Er.. shall we sit for a little while before you kick me out so that you can sleep" he said jokingly knowing that he wouldnt be kicked out but would be told that it was time for him to leave so that she could get some rest.

Daniel was relieved that it had completely healed that quick.. he was taken by surprise as she put her arms around his neck and kissed him.. he kissed her back.. as she agreed that they should go sit down.. he smiled.. well if all returning evenings were like this bring more of them on.. but then he would miss her while she was away.. but here would be more of these.. he thought as he followed her to the living room and sat down next to her as she put on some music "No I dont mind.. I have you here.. good music... wonderful evening.. how could I mind." he smiled as he sat there looking at her.. "You look ..." choose your words carefully .. oh who cares he thought to himself "amazing this evening.. really beautiful" he said as his heart beat faster as he looked at her.. how can a man not see this?.. well he was still happy they hadnt seen how great she was to be with.
He then moved closer to her and held her hand.. he had wanted to hold it all evening.. now he could.. happy to be holding her hand he just sat there as he looked at her and kind of studied her face.. it would help when she was away and he would remember what she looked like.. not he would forget or anything.. just something to look forward to remembering while he worked.
He then thought that he should tell her what he had been thinking since he gave her those flowers that she so lovingly put into that vase .. "Leelee.. I think " he started to say as he unknowingly started to caress her hand with his free hand "I think.. I think " oh just say it already.. its not she probably didnt know already "I am more in love with you as this evening has gone on.. and I am glad other men are frightened of romancing you.. cause that gives me the wonderful opportunity to do that.. to romance you" he chuckled a little bit before he had a big smile on his face once he had said his piece.. and gave her a kiss on her cheek to top it off.. there now if she had to leave then it would be ok.. cause they had their perfect evening together.. he just hoped that this evening wouldnt interfere with her job as a type of distraction.
Edward walked into the house after one of his missions. As he crossed through the foyer he hung his jacket up on the hook and continued into the livingroom and took a seat in his chair . After changing into his slippers he got up to make himself a drink.
as he returned to his seat he decided to owl his girlfriend Gabriela. Out with some paper and quill and he began to write....

Gabriela walked up the steps of the house. She hadn't been here in sometime and she always felt it a bit unpleasant with Leelee around. She didn't know why, but she just had the feeling Leelee did not like her. She fixed her dress and felt a bit nervous for some reason to see Edward again. It had been some time since she had seen him. She knocked and waited for someone to come to the door.
Edward heard a soft knock at the door and rose from his chair and straightened his shirt making sure that it was properly tucked into his black slacks. Then made his way to the door and opened it to reveal Gabby standing there looking beauiful in her dress.
" Please... Do come in. " he said as he offered his hand to her.

Edward smiled when she kissed his cheek. Still holding her hand he led her into the dinning room and pulled out her seat and motioned for her to sit. As he pushed chair in for her he said, " This last trip took me to France. Paris is not what you'd expect... Very dirty. But there is never any shortage of places to hide. But maybe one of these days you'd like to take a trip there. ... That is if you've never visited there."
Then he excused himself and walked into the kitchen to retrieve the first course of the meal.

Gabby smiled and listened. France, hmm that was an interesting place to go. "I have never been there actually and it does seem like a place that couples like to go." she grinned giving him the hint that if she went he should go with her. She watched as he left the room most likely going to retrieve dinner. As she was alone she decided to fix her hair and flattened her dress once more. She wanted to look perfect for him.
Edward re-entered the room holding two plates of green salad and the pepper mill. As he set the Gabby's plate in front of her he grined and asked, " Pepper, Love? " while waiting for her answer he said, " Well, then I shall have to have you accompany me for a long weekend. Perhaps we could visit the Champagne Region? "

Gabby smiled and shook her head "No thank you"She hated pepper it always made her sneeze. She then smiled "A long weekend would be nice, if you can pull yourself away at some point. I feel like you are always gone, couldn't Leelee go out for once." She said with a pouting face. She wanted to spend more time with him and it seemed impossible with his work schedule.
Leele walked into the dinning room just in time to hear Gabriela, she rolled her eyes. Not this barbie doll. "I do go out for your information and I was just out working and finishing a case, no thanks to you Eddie. Why did that McCowan case take so long?I was under the impression it would be only a few days." Not that she cared her brother was gone so long it gave her some time in the house alone.
" Well, Love , Leelee doesn't go that often. Very rarely in fact. But I have a few weeks coming up at the end of the month that I could get away for a bit. How's your schedule? Are you busy... say the last weekend of the month? " Edward said just as his sister came into the house.
Eddie rolled his eyes at Leelee's comment . Then turned toward her to anser her question.
" Leelee, That McCowan case was filled with wrong information. The informant on that case was an idiot. Probably some lacky hired by the targets family paid off to misinform me. UYou know the type..."

Leelee grumbled under her breath. She filled out the paper work for that case, she would look to see who that informant was. She was never off on her informants. "I happens only once in awhile thank goodness." She went right into her next conversation not caring that Gabby was in the room. Daniel knew pretty much everything now about the business and shouldn't Gabby if she was going to be around. "I'm scheduled a follow up with the new case I got while you were gone. She's looking for her niece. I found the locations of where she is at, but it's a bit tricky. I need to speak to you about it. Should we do it now, or would you like to wait?" she was not in the mood to wait and they still hadn't finished their discussion about Min's other friend from that party.
