Maxwell rolled through the fireplace in the study, almost bumping into the chair in front of him. He quickly got up knowing that Taylor would be following him at any second and he needed to move the chair and prepare to catch her when she came rolling in after him so he moved the chair out of the way and got in place near the fireplace.

Tay stepped out of the fireplace, coughing a little from the fumes. She had some powder on her nose. Taylor looked fover at Maxwell and smiled at him. "I hate floo powder." She laughed, feeling a little nervous.

Maxwell smiled at Taylor thinking how cute she looked with powder on her nose. "It's the fastest way to travel until we can apperate." He said smiling and wiping the powder from her nose. "Are you all right?" He asked her getting the feeling she was nervous.

Tay blushed when he wiped the powder from her nose, "Yeah i know it is the fastest." She grimanced, "I soooooo cant wait until i can apparate." Taylor laughed then nodded, "Yeah, i'm fine just feeling slightly nervouse." Tay gave him a half smile.

Maxwell smiled. "Me too, I'll be able to see you in no time without stepping foot into a fireplace." He said laughing. "Why are you nervous?" He asked offering her an encouraging smile.

Tay smiled, "Yeah and it is even faster than foo." She laughed. "I am a girl, i can get nervous." Taylor stuck out her tongue at him and giggled. She made sure that her waterfall braid didnt fall down.

Maxwell smiled. "Well, i'm your boyfriend i like to try and make you... umm... not nervous." He said trying to think of a better way to word it, and failing. "So this is the study." he said changing the subject of his failure and motioning to the books around the walls and the fireplace and the spiral staircase leading to more books. "My grandparents like books." He said with a laugh

Tay giggled at his fail. She smiled and looked around the room for the first time since she flooed into it. Her face was lit up with a smile as she read a few of the titles of the books near them. "This room is neat," Taylor laughed and looked at MAxwell. Her ravenclawness was showing.

Maxwell smiled seeing her face light up as she looked at all the books. "You're welcome to barrow anything in here." He said and kissed her cheek. "I like to sit here and read sometimes, but it's not my favorite place to do so in the house." He said smiling.

Tay laughed and kissed him on the cheek, "I might just do that... though not right now." She smiled and laughed, "What is your favorite place to read?"

Maxwell smiled. "I'll have to show you." He said taking her by the hand and walking out of the room and into a large hallway the size of one of the corridors at Hogwarts. "This way." He said turning left in the Hall. After a minute or to of walking they reached the spot. It was a large window with a desk and marble floors, it was dark now so the veiw of Diagon alley wasn't as great but it was a view non-the-less. "This used to be the end of the house my great grandparent's house elves lived on. But My grandfather freed them all and gave them a separate house to live in, so no one comes down here anymore, it's quiet." He said smiling and looking out the window.

Tay smiled. "I can see why you would love to read here." She looked around and smiled. Taylor gave his hand slight squeeze. Tay was having a good day.

Maxwell gave her hand a squeeze back. "I'll have to go take you to see Helios next or he'll never forgive me." Maxwell said smiling. He heard a strange noise from the other end of the enormous hall and a moment later...

Joan apperated into the house, she had just gotten back from America, she had been on a plane all day and was tired. But she brightened up when she heard her son's voice. 'I wonder who he's speaking too?' She came running down the hall, not urgently, just quickly to see. She reached the spot. "Maxie." She said affectionately looking at her son Her voice soft and her accent most proper. "Hello, I'm Joan Maxwell's mother." She said almost offering her hand for a shake, she had spent the better part of the day in America. 'You're back in England, Joan.' She thought. "Maxie, who's your Lovely friend?"

"Helios?" Tay smiled, "How is he doing?" Then a woman came into the room. She looked over and smiled sweetly at the lady. Taylor suddenly became more nervous. Tay realized that they were still holding hands and she quickly let go, putting her hands behind her back. Taylor lowered her eyes and had a blush on her cheeks.

Maxwell smiled a little, he found her nervousness cute. "Hello, Mum." Maxwell said giving his mother a hug. "This is Taylor, my girlfriend Taylor." Maxwell said reminding his mother of the girl he had told her about, and the trouble with her friend 'Damon.'

"Hello, Taylor. It's a pleasure to meet you. Maxwell tells me you're a Ravenclaw like me?" She said smiling. "A girl after knowledge is a girl after my own heart." He chuckled a little. "Although he didn't mention how Lovely you are." Joan said hoping a compliment might calm the girl a little and show her that Joan was being friendly, she had met boy's parent's herself before and it was nerve wracking.

Taylor curtised to his mother. As politely as she could she said, "It is a pleasure meeting you, Madam." It sounded a little formal especially with her Scottish accent. She nodded, "Yes, Madam, I am a ravenclaw." Tay smiled still nervous. She blushed deeper at the compliment, "Thank you, Madam."

Maxwell watched silently as the two interacted.

Joan smiled at Taylor's manners. "You don't need to call me Madam, Joan is good. Unless you prefer Madam." Joan said as sweetly as possible. "You have a Lovely accent, are you from Scotland?" She asked curiously.

"Yes, Mad--- I mean Joan..." She felt a little uncomfortable since she never called an adult by their first name before. "Thank you." Taylor smiled, "I am from Scotland." She nodded. Tay was a little happy that Maxwell didnt tell his mother what he found out just a bit ago.

Maxwell smiled. "We're going to explore the city a little tomorrow and then i'm heading back to her house for dinner." Maxwell said to let his mother know he wouldn't be around all day.

Joan smiled. "All right, sounds like a wonderful time. I"ll be out of your hair. It was wonderful meeting you Taylor, Let me know if you need anything or just want a bit of girl talk, I could always show you some of Maxie's baby pictures."

At this Maxwell blushed, beet red.

Tay smiled, "It was a pleasure meeting you too and baby pictures?" She glanced at Maxwell and laughed, starting to feel less nervous around Joan. Taylor glanced back at his mother, "That sounds interesting and fun." She shot a smirk at Maxwell.

Maxwell continued to blush. "Mom, really? the pictures?"

"Well, yes Maxie. What's the point in having cute baby pictures if you don't show them to anyone." Joan smiled and then to Taylor. "I'm on the ground floor, near the kitchen let me know if you'd like to see them. You're welcome over anytime." She said with her Sweetest smile. "But I must be off to bed it's been a long day." She said waiting for Taylor's response, it would be rude to just walk away.

Tay smiled, "I would love to see them sometime and thank you Joan..." Still a little werid calling an adult by the first name. "You have a lovely home by the way and night." Taylor smiled at his mother.

Joan smiled. "Thank you, my dear and goodnight to the both of you. Don't be up too late." She said with a wink and walked down the hall.

Once she was out of earshot "So, would you like to see Helios? He's in my room." Maxwell said with a smile since his mom was gone and done embarrassing him.

Tay smiled, "I would love to see Helios again." She laughed and kissed his cheek once Joan was gone.
