The mouth of the road is barren, characterized by huge rocks and crumbling boulders that leave in one’s mouth the taste of dirt, rusting metal and steady, very very dusty erosion. You breathe, you cough. The sky is orange, ready to kick up a sandstorm anytime. All is dust.

The fork in the path opens up two routes: The left comes to a dead end, a wall of rock and sandstone, and the right leads onwards, farther into the rocks, and you find that the scenery begins to change. Shrubs seem to sprout of the ground, trees commence to rise. Within fifteen minutes, all is green.

Welcome to Forest Delgo.

Delgo starts with a cheerful green clearing but, as you go inwards, the trees begin to grow thicker. There is the smell of wet mud in the air, and you know from it that, somewhere, there is water. Farther in, the starts of a stream begin, and the water gathers speed, transforming into a pure, gushing river as it goes on. Much, much deeper in, there is a waterfall but, for now, you can not see it.

Vegetation is, by no means, scarce. The trees are pretty thick, happy types that do not scare in the least, even at the points where they shut out much – or all – of the light. There are songbirds around but, deeper in, there are other creatures, perhaps wilder, perhaps tamer. Not where you stand, though.

Where you stand is nothing but green land and blue sky.

The jeep rumbled to a slow but steady halt, and Fyo jumped off before Uncle Henry could shout any orders at him. He had been seated at the front, with the fat rhino - err, Uncle Henry - and, even though his whole body had been itching to sit at the back with Torin and Butterfly, that was a no-no because Uncle Henry wanted Fyo seated with him.

"Come on, let's get down," he called out to Tor and Butterfly, fat, thick grass getting crunched beneath his shoes as he moved.

Torin was glad when the jeep finally stopped. He felt like he was going to be sick. This terrain was way too bumpy. And it was hot. So it was with a smile on his face that he hopped out. He went up to Fyo and waited for Alice to get out.

"What do you think Professor Bunbury is doing over the summer?" Too bad she never would have gone camping with them.

Viad Henry was in a rotten mood. This campin' thing shoulda bin fun, but the kid was tryin' to ruin it for him. Christian had said Fyo was a good kid, but Viad wasn't so sure - first, the boy had the nerve to bring two of his friends, an' second one of them was a girl Fyo had looked back at more than once durin' the journey.

"ORDER!" he called out loud. "This is a dangerous place, an' none of you are goin' to go wander off by yourselves. Nobody steps down without my permission!" But that Fyo kid had already clambered out of the jeep, an' Viad sighed. "Fyodor! Get back into the -"

But Fyodor was now callin' down his friends. Viad got out of the jeep, his moustache lookin' most forebodin' and eyed the kids carefully. The Torin kid had gotten off too. They had better keep order while he was around. Not that he wanted to ruin their fun - he just didn't want any of them to get hurt, he told himself.

If Fyo was happy that he had managed to get his best mate out of that jeep before Uncle Henry butted into the whole thing, the joy was at once replaced by a look of exasperation. Not Professor Bunbury, again!

"Maybe she went on vacation with Professor Lawson," he said. It wasn't said to irritate Torin, or anything. Fyo was just thinking about how he was with his friends, so Professor Bunbury might be with hers, and Professor Lawson was the only Bunz!friend he could think of, at the moment.

Attack of the fat rhino.

For someone who had spent so much time scouring rough country, Uncle Henry sure was fat. Well, not really fat - just plump. But even that didn't seem so right to Fyo, maybe because all the super-active-in-rough-places people he had seen were lean and.... uhh, sort of brown.

"Is there anything you want us to do, Uncle?" he asked patiently. Or can we go have a chocolate parttaayyy in the wild?

"I wanted to ask her to come with us," he told Fyo while ignoring the rant from Uncle Henry. He had learned fast how that guy was and he figured that it was just best for his sanity if he blocked the guy out as much as possible.

"Let's have a Chocolate Frog party!"

Viad had pretty keen ears, mostly because he needed them to survive in the wild. "Who's this professor burybunnies?" he asked loudly. Kids could be so annoyin'! An' for someone who had camped out before - or so Christian claimed - the Fyo kid sure was thick.

"Of course there's somethin' I want you to do!" he exclaimed. "Get all your materials outta that jeep! Come on hurry up, you can't sleep under the sky can ya?" He turned to Torin. "An' what do you mean by chocolate frog party, young man? No one's havin' no party without ma permission here."

Kids were such foolish things,sometimes.

Oooh, Torin was ignoring Uncle Henry. UH wasn't going to like that, no, not at all. Wait - a second. Torin wanted to WHAT? "Thank God you didn't!" Fyo exclaimed. "It's Professor Bunbury, not burybunnies," Fyo corrected, the corners of his mouth twitching as he fought to keep back a laugh. Wait, materials? "Uhhh --- yes, Uncle," Fyo said, deciding it was better to go along with whatever Uncle Henry was saying, than to waste precious time arguing. Walking over to the jeep, he began to pull out the things - packages, sleeping bags, the like - stuffed into it.

"Gimme a hand here," he half-mumbled to Torin.

"She would have been great company, Fyo." He smiled as he pictured her beautiful red hair. Then he snapped back to reality with Uncle Henry's question. Or more like he heard the butchered attempt at her name. "Professor Bunbury is the sweetest, most beautiful Professor ever. She is also the kindest, smartest and the best with magic. She also is a great flier."

He brought himself back to planet Earth and began to help unload the jeep. "Chocolate Frog parties are parties where you like eat Chocolate Frogs and show of the cards."

"I don't care what it is," Viad said gruffly, when the Fyo kid told him it was Bunbury an' not burybunnies. "They both mean the same thing, don't they?" Such a nuisance, kids. Of course not all of them were this bad-mannered. Now just look at Indigo...... that girl was such a delight!

But he didn't have time to think of Indi right now. Viad just hoped that, when this bunch of kids met her, her good manners would rub off on them. He gave an approving nod as the Fyo kid began to get everythin' outta jeep, before shootin' the Torin kid a sharp look.

"You there! Help your friend."

But the Torin kid had already started to. Viad gave a loud "humph," before sayin', "I don't care how sweet she is. An' what do you mean magic?" He narrowed his eyes at Torin. "Do you mean she's magical? Bah, she can't be that good." He hated when people called other people "magical."

Humbug.

Alice sighed and stretched a bit when the Jeep came to halt finally. Oh..wow. A bone-rattling ride. She let go of Fyo's hand only to jump out off the Jeep. "So..no more Jeep adventure. Right Fyo?" she asked and took few steps forward to see the surroundings. Green, mud..kinda looked like an isolated part.

Alice looked back at Fyo, now talking to Torin and a Big man...really a big man with booming voice "Where are we now Fyo?" she asked him, still looking around and taking everything into her mind. Point..Point.

Viad raised an eyebrow as Fyo excused himself. "You're not goin' anywhere," he began but Fyo had already left with Torin. When the two boys came, Viad looked most displeased. "ORDER!" he called out. "Keep ORDER! If you go without my leave, you could get seriously hurt, both of you!" The last thing he wanted was Christian blaming him if any of the stupid kids got injured.

Viad narrowed his eyes again as the Alice girl jumped out of the jeep. Well at least she could jump outta jeeps. Maybe she really could survive this whole camp. Even though Viad couldn't help thinkin' how little the rough-camp type she looked.

"You!" He said, pointin' a finger at Alice. "Stop talkin' to the boy." Boy meant Fyo, by the way. "You're distracting him from unloadin' the jeep."

Delgo. Something a new name for her. Alice shrugged and inhaled the new wet smell of the forest deep into her lungs. It was something fresh as the air was so clear. Alice already liked this place. "Mhmm. I can see a Lion really in the forest now" she laughed and hugged him from behind. "What do you say?" her voice muffled into his thick terrain shirt.

Viad turned to the Torin kid. "Women aren't magical," he said with a snort. "An' if she's your professor, you shouldn't be thinkin' that way about it. It's against ORDER!" he exclaimed, his loud voice boomin' everywhere. The things kids these days did! Callin' professors 'magical' an' all. "Most inappropriate!" Viad said loudly. "Quite against ORDER!"

"If you're tall doesn't mean you're manly kiddo." 'Manly' took years of trainin', Viad would tell you that.

He looked back at the Alice girl. "You!" he pointed his finger at her again. "Don't talk too much, that's against ORDER too!" It took him a moment to realize the girl was hugging the Fyo kid. OH MY GOD!

"Get away!" He half-shouted. "Watcha doin', girl, WATCHA doin'?"

Was Uncle Henry having a go at his Butterfly? Fyo dusted his hands, now done with the unloading. "She's not distracting me," he spoke up. "She was only asking where we are."

"I'm sorry," he went on, this time apologetically. "I told Lissy, but it totally escaped me to tell you too, mate."

"Only askin' where we are?" Viad asked loudly. "My God, you don't mean to say the girl doesn't know we're goin' to camp out!" This was such a disaster. If the girl didn't know that, she wouldn't be prepared for it an' campin' could be hard an' tough, both. "Put her in the jeep, put her in the jeep quick, I'll take her back!" he shouted, wavin' his hands in the air. "You two - stick close until I come back. Girl, get in the jeep!"

He had actually forgotten about the hug in this new wave of panic.

Fyo sighed, shaking his head as Uncle Henry had a very sudden panic attack. For someone who had seen so much, the man sure was quick to lose control. But, and this Fyo knew too well, it was mostly because Alice was a girl. Uncle Henry, whatever else he may know, definitely did not know how to handle girls.

"Uncle Henry," he said, a little loudly to make sure he was heard. "She DOES know why we are here. She was just asking the name of the place - which even I didn't know until recently, your plan being such a secret and all."

Not that Fyo minded. Uncle Henry hated pretty much everyone. But Woodyman... Now that was too funny. Fyo doubled up, laughing. He just couldn't help it, honestly, he couldn't!

Viad listened to the Fyo kid's explanation about the girl's question, an' snorted. "I see," he said, strokin' his moustache. "I see," he repeated, even though he was pretty sure they could all "see" that he saw it by now. "Well, girl -" he began, only to stop as he was called Woodyman. "ORDER!" he cried. "I'm no Woodyman, girl, you shall henceforth call me Camp Commander Mr. Henry sir! Get that, girl? Get -" He stopped because a second hug had just come into the scene.

A GIRL AN' BOY HUGGIN'!

HUGGIN' IN FRONT OF HIM!

"ORDER!" Viad shouted, wavin' his arms in the air again. Oh God, he had to clear this place of love infestations! "What do you think you two are doin' eh? YOU GET OUT OF EACH OTHER'S FACES THIS INSTANT KID AN' GIRL!"

"You're crazy!" Fyo exclaimed, lowering his voice as he continued to speak, because he so knew he did not want Uncle Henry to hear this. "I thought you weren't going to give her love potion, anymore - I thought you'd reformed a bit, you badkitty, you!" Torin was SUCH a badkitty.

"And it's okay. Even though I have a madman yelling at me to not call Professors magical." OK, now this was too funny. A massive grin slid up Fyo's face. "You rock, Torin badkitty," he said, laughing.

"ORDER!" Viad shouted, wavin' his arms in the air again. Oh God, he had to clear this place of love infestations! "What do you think you two are doin' eh? YOU GET OUT OF EACH OTHER'S FACES THIS INSTANT KID AN' GIRL!"

Fyo was tempted to say "see what?" or "so do we" but, thankfully, he managed to refrain from it. A second panic attack followed, and this time Uncle Henry was so loud, Fyo actually jumped away from Lissy in surprise.

"Calm down, Uncle Henry, it's just a friendly hug," he lied. "What's wrong with a friendly hug, eh?" He was so, SO dead, now.

He listened to Uncle Henry and instantly knew who he reminded him of. "Uncle Henry.. you are just like Professor Bunbury!" He had a big smile on his face. No, he wasn't going Bunz crazy.

Yeah, Fyo was so not going to buy that.

"I know I do. But like please keep him away from me..." That dude was seriously weird.

Alice nodded as Fyo was trying to explain things to that unbeliavable rough man. "See, seems he's determined not to understand what you're saying. So no use of explanations" she whispered, arms still around him, looked at him lovingly, ignored Uncle Henry's threatenings and shoutings.
