Default Cranville Quincey's Magical Junk Shop

Located on the south side of Diagon Alley, sandwiched in between Sugarplum's Sweets Shop and Janus Galloglass, is Cranville Quincey's Magical Junk Shop. The outside of this shop is nothing spectacular. A cardboard box labelled 'FREE STUFF' (containing bits of parchment that have already been doodled on and various items broken well beyond repair) rests on the cobbled street, serving an indicator of what kind of establishment this is.

Just beyond the door lays a maze of numerous bins, shelves, and racks holding various items with price tags tied onto them. To the left of the shop is where all second-hand clothing can be found for those who don't feel the need to purchase the pricey fabrics and accessories being sold at Madam Malkin's or Twilfitt and Tattings. The back is reserved for all kinds of books and reading material. Of course, they aren't nearly as top-quality as the ones Flourish and Blotts and other bookshops, but the amount you'll be paying for them is quite a bargain. Lastly, the right side of the shop is where you will find a large variety of miscellaneous items. Take your time browsing through these items as not even the shopkeeper remembers what all is here.

When you are ready to pay for your newfound treasures, make your way to the counter in the middle of the shop. On the counter itself, you will find a till and, oddly enough, a rubber chicken substituting as a bell. Typically the rubber chicken doesn't need to be squeezed as the shopkeeper is usually sleeping at the counter. But, in the event that the shopkeeper isn't around, give the chicken a good squeeze and he will be right over.

Milo nodded, his focus elsewhere. No further explanation provided, no further explanation needed, though he gathered that was what the Aiden child was looking for. Still looking inside the box, Milo pointed down towards the Aiden child's shoes and said, "Those are probably skin too. Trainers are usually leather."

But, speaking of shoes, and feet, Milo glanced down at his own again. He didn't really need to, because he knew what his socks looked like, but he liked to look at them. "They keep me safe," he said, opting to rephrase rather than explain. Explaining it properly would ruin the protective quality, and then they wouldn't protect him anymore, and then not only would the power be lost but the effort of explaining would have been wasted.

Stretching up on his tiptoes a few times as he continued to rummage through the box, Milo glanced back at the Aiden child. "You can read it how you like. Depending on how you look at something, you can see different things." That was true of everything, but in different ways. His own way was (apparently) not the typical way, but that was secret too. Anticipating another question to come from that - he had a lot of experience with Des and the quadruplets - Milo scooped up another item from the box: a pair of glasses, the lenses frosted and hopelessly obscured. Cursed? Unlikely, but not impossible.

Without looking around, he brandished those at the Aiden child too, for looking at his parchment with. A gift.

"Skin? But this isn't skin this is just shoe!" Aiden insisted. Shoes weren't made out of skin, they were made out of shoes. He blinked looking up confused at the other boy. And what did leather have to do with skin anyway? Leather was leather, it wasn't made out of anything except for couch....But then again the other boy seemed to know a lot and so Aiden HAD to consider what he told him. Could it really be true?

The other boy's socks kept him safe. Aiden nodded his head because he thought he got that. It was like his teddy was for him after all. They were probably his favorite socks. He wanted to ask more but then there was the whole parchment thingy and the other boy even said you could see different things on it if you read it the right way, but Aiden only knew one way to read.

"Really? Different things? What KINDA different things? What do YOU see?"
Aiden asked, curiosity pouring out of him, as it often did when he met others that 'knew' things. Usually he could only ask his questions to Mommy, but now that he was meeting somebody new, another kid even, it was like a whole new world of answers. Aiden found that every new people knew a lot of things, and now that he was a wizard, there were new people that knew even MORE than Mommy did, and Aiden wanted to learn everything.

Without questioning, Aiden put on the glasses that had been handed him, and once again the boy was temporarily pacified from his stream of questions. "Now it all looks white," Aiden reported, for the glasses were far too frosted to see out of
