Atticus' Attic Music Shop https://i.postimg.cc/3Jn9yYDt/atticu...op-banner4.jpg Upon opening the door to Atticus' Attic, you will be met with the sound of Wizarding bands both new and old being piped through the whole store. Step inside and you'll find yourself among a sea of Music Tables boasting thousands of albums from artists both Magic and Muggle on any medium you aspire to find. Vinyl records, cassette tapes, compact discs, and 8-track tapes, along with the appropriate devices to play all of these things, paired with large over-ear headphones, can be found at each table. And though many of the tables are dedicated to well-known Muggle recording formats, a fair amount of them are also dedicated to "item albums" as well. Small boxes bearing a band and album name litter these tables, and inside are items the size of a knut, varying in colour and shape dependent on the box's label. A single tap with a wand will cause the album to begin to play aloud or the album can also be stuck behind the ear to be played privately, so as to not disturb others. |
Delyth couldn’t help but be content nestled in between what seemed like an everlasting amount of tables filled with all the different types of music one could want! Eyes closed, there she stood, her frizzy blonde hair somewhat covering her face due to the over ear headphones that she was wearing. Despite the obvious humour in her appearance, she couldn’t help but give a small head shake and wiggle as the music blaring into her ears. “And nothing’s g’nna bring me down!” That was it. She’d decided. She was going to purchase the CD. Honestly, she wasn’t familiar with much muggle music but this would go well with her collection back home. With a small smile that highlighted her pearly whites, she continued to stand there, blissfully unaware that there was anyone else around. |
Victoria walked into the shop ready to enjoy her afternoon off. It was nearing the busy season and she was hoping that this year she would be better prepared since she had a whole year to get ready for all of the Hogwarts students coming in. She was looking for some music to play in the shop when she was working on some of the custom orders. She was nearly to the section holding her favorite muggle music. Tucking a piece of her dark hair behind her ear. She finally looked up and noticed a blond with headphones on. Victoria really wondered what exactly she was listening to. Victoria was still trying to make friends and she looked like she was enjoying whatever she was listening to and she was right next to the section she needed, might as well talk to her. "Find anything new?" boy was that a lame way to start a conversation...good going Victoria. |
Bless. She got rather excited. Sorry for the links but it helps I guess haha Quote:
“Yup, I’m actually going to buy this one” answering her question with a smile. Holding up the cd she had been listening to now. Despite her usual bubbliness, she couldn’t help but become more enthusiastic about the CD in front of her. “It’s a really good CD!” pausing for a second before continuing “only if you like muggle music I guess. But I mean, it’s quite a feel good album”. Stopping finally to take a breath, she grinned whilst taking out the CD again and placing it back in the CD player. “Her, have a listen” holding out the headphones now as she turned to her favourite track on the album. |
Quote:
Tori watched as the woman pulled the CD back out to place in the player. Her eyes followed her her hand holding the headphones. Shrugging she put the headphones over her ears and started to listen. It was a really bright feel good song. She was amazed at just how much she liked the song. "THIS IS..." Realizing she was probably yelling she started taking the headphones off of her head and smiled, "really good. I'm surprised I'm not usually into this kind of stuff." Her smile felt as if it reached her ears. "I'm Victoria by the way." she held her hand out trying to be proper like her mama had taught her. |
Quote:
Smirking slightly at the girl’s reaction now, she couldn’t but approve of this girl and her reaction to the song. Mouthing somewhat like a fish “IT’S A REALLY…happy song! Getting quieter as she took off the headphones. Muggle music really wasn’t to everyone’s taste but it was nice to meet someone else who seemed to like it just as much as her. Holding her hand out, somewhat tentatively, she replied “I’m Delyth”, her accent changing slightly to that of her previous homeland as she pronounced her name. As if dancing and singing wasn’t embarrassing enough. “So…” she continued, changing the subject before her blush became too obvious “Why are you in here today?” It was a stupid question. Obviously she Victoria wanted to buy music but still, it was polite. Right? Hopefully, she wouldn’t come across as too silly. |
Quote:
Tori took her hand and shook it with a bit more enthusiasm than was probably necessary. Delyth. That was a really pretty name. She liked it, granted she liked most things. She laughed at her question of what brought her into the shop. She figured it was a polite question to ask but a bit redundant when you considered the fact that it was only a music store. “Oh I work down at Malkin’s and I wanted some new music to help me finish up the last minute robes before all of the students start getting their robes for the year. I assume you were on a particular hunt for this band?” she smiled as she tried to see who the band was so she could consider looking into them for a possible purchase in the future. |

Delyth had to admire her gumption. Playing muggle music in a wizard shop. It took guts. She could imagine several wizards not taking too kindly to that although she had a feeling if they voiced their disapproval, Victoria would give them a good tongue lashing. “So what types of music do you play? Who do you play? Would I have heard of them? Or are they more unheard of? Do they…”She trailed off on the last question now slightly embarrassed at how many she’d just bombarded her with. Delyth could behave herself. Honestly. She didn’t always talk as if she’d been hit by a chatterbox charm. “I was looking for them. I’d heard one of his songs and it was rather sad. But it intrigued me so I thought I’d come check out the rest of the album”. Smiling now at the CD as she placed it back in its plastic home. “I really do listen to anything though to be fair. I’m just a little sponge when it comes to music. I take everything in” a small laugh now escaping her lips at the throw away comment. |

Her curiosity or at least ability to ask so many questions out Victoria at ease. It was one thing when she did all the talking but it seemed she had met someone else who could equally talk as much as her. “I’m not sure. The muggle bands that I listen to are a wide variety. Some are rock some are pop. I think my absolute favorite right now is Dolly Parton. She’s big back where I’m from and I like to just sing along and such to her tunes.” although who was she kidding, Dolly was someone who gave her more life advice than anyone ever had. She was fairly certain that Dolly had given her her confidence. Tori’s eyes followed hers as she mentioned coming in for a specific cd. Ah that sounds like what she did a few weeks ago. “I completely understand. I did the same thing a few weeks back. I’m the same way when it comes to music.” she smiled brightly thinking to the shelves and shelves of music in her back room blushing a bit “I have shelves and shelves of music.” |
Quote:
Dolly Parton? Huh. Delyth hadn’t actually heard of that muggle band but it sounded interesting. Maybe she’d have to look them up sometime. It sounded…Interesting. “So where are you from? If you don’t mind me prying too much?” biting her bottom lip lightly as she asked. Some people just didn’t like her asking so many questions. Hopefully, Victoria wouldn’t mind too much. “Aha that’s so cool! I wish I had the space for it but I just move around too much to really collect too much. Makes it too hard to move then, you know?” Settling down and buying her first house was high on her list of things to do but that was proving somewhat if a struggle. “I’m jealous! I want that!” a playful smile across her face now. |
Quote:
She saw the look on her face as she mentioned Dolly Parton. She loved her. Sure it was very old music comparatively but Dolly still ran Tennessee when she left; and she would probably still be running it when she was gone herself. “I’m from Tennessee. Its not too much prying, promise.” She loved talking to people about everything and anything. It really was one of her favorite things, talking and getting to know people that is. Her eyes grew wide hearing about moving. Secretly Tori wished she would act that way instead she usually charmed her stuff to fit into a bag or make it small enough it wasn’t a problem. She used the perk of being magical to her full advantage. Even though she had one of the most muggle jobs ever. Sure, you could use charms to sew and she did here and there but there just was something about sewing it yourself that made the piece that much more enjoyable and lasted longer. Probably why she had such a large collection of hand-me-down robes for Hogwarts. Made to last…. “I wish. I usually do the unconventional of using charms to make moving easier… Had to especially for the move to work at Malkins.” she trailed off. |
play with us! Atticus had woken up that morning with a brilliant plan. It was two-fold - well, three, if anyone wanted to get into specifics - and the first part began in his own store of course. It took a little bit of rearranging in his store to make the most of it, but he had gotten up way earlier than he would have liked, just so he could accomplish this. And once he was done, he put up several signs, both in the windows of his store for passersby to see and inside the shop to remind his customers of the great, limited time sale he was having. There. Rather pleased with himself, he headed around to the other side of the counter while he busied himself with his new inventory order. The next part of his plan would have to wait till Levi got there later today. But for now, he'd wait and see wait this brought in. |
She was now in London and Valentina Fernández couldn't be more excited. If the locals couldn't tell by her camera attached to her eye and pictures being taken everywhere or maybe they could by her Mexican Quidditch team hoddie she had on. As soon as Mexico got into the final sixteen Valentina put her notice in at work for vacation and booked a room at the only hotel that was left with rooms. It was a bit further from the Alley, but floo made that not an issue. Now that she was here though she wanted to see everything. Her team wasn't playing for another week, but vacation was a vacation. With a map in her hand of all the shops and the best tourist locations to hit in between matches, she was off. Seeing a music store Val couldn't help but head in. She loved music and little shops always held her interest. So heading in she looked around the store. This was going to be a good one she could already tell. |
Lamberto had been working his bum off as of late and per usual he liked listen to some of his favorite tunes. He had heard the buzz alot over a music shop in Diagon Alley maybe once or twice before and decided he should check it out while he was still in town. Keeping things real low-key was the goal for this outing, but then again he was grateful for the fans! After all they're the ones who've helped motivate him with every positive chant and cheer. This was certainly one of the best parts of his career. It was all music to his ears. (If rhyming was a crime of sublime, I don't want to be right. :sup:) Whiiiiiistle Lamberto's whistle of amazement didn't stand a chance against the loud music bumping from every angle of the store as he walked in. As he sauntered by, he felt somewhat overwhelmed not yet decided where to start. It was glorious! He walked passed signs displaying their sale specials and his interests were piqued! He smiled at a young lady whom he noticed, casually walking past her and ultimately dashing to the vinyl records in the classic tune genre. |

Once he assisted a customer with a music recommendation, his eyes fell on quite an attractive woman as she walked in. Atticus veered his path through the store to pause next to her as she began to look around. "Good day, Miss. Anything I can help you with?" Quote:
Still, he was a customer and he would be pleasant. "Anything I can help you with today?" Atticus noted his apparent interest in the vinyls. "We do have some great sales going on right now." |
Quote:
Taking a glance at the display signs he nodded and smiled. "So I see." Perhaps he should take recommendations from the shopkeeper himself. "Anything you can recommend, mate?" He asked with genuine interest in finding some good tunes. |
I hope you don't mind I combined them both. Quote:

"Hola" Looking around once more before going back to him she wasn't sure if she needed help or not, but she didn't want him walking away, though it could be fun to watch that as well. "I don't think I do, but this is a lovely shop. Do you have all genres here?" Of course, he did, she could tell, but she wouldn't admit that. Hearing the door and the shopkeeper greeting someone, Val turned her head for a quick second and then turned fully around. "Oh my gosh, do you know who that is? You have to know who that is." Her words weren't helping her at all. "You are... You are Urupi, I mean Lamberto Urupi." She didn't just follow the Mexican teams, she did follow all the countries. Quidditch was her thing and it wasn't showing at all, was it? |
Quote:
The tall, dark and handsome Englishman wasn't familiar with her, however he'd like to change that here and now. "What must your name be?" There was so much beauty just radiating off of this fanatic. |
Eloise <3 Music had always been Nettie's escape, so she was in the shop more often than not lately, checking out the latest releases. Her muggle music player at home - the portable ones that she forgot the names of - was literally bursting with new music, and she was still adding more to it so she would have all of it on there when she went back to school. She had a feeling she'd be in the muggle room QUITE a lot this term, with her headphones in, listening to her music and trying to escape... Heading over to the rack of new releases she began to thumb through them, looking for anything interesting. |
Quote:
Eloise skipped in and oh that blonde hair looks familiar. Making her way over and well can't really look over her shoulder since she is so short came up beside her to see what she was looking at. "They are good if you like Vesper Bayliss" More voice than anything else |
Too lazy to quote xD Nettie looked around when she heard a familiar voice and grinned. "Hey Eloise!" she smiled at her Slytherin friend and looked back down at the record in her hand. "I think I'll give them a shot. To be QUITE honest, I enjoy muggle music a lot more, but Wrock is growing on me," she told her with a chuckle. "So, how has your summer been?" she asked as she took the record out of the bin and added it to her basket, moving on to the next bin. |
Quote:
"Like what pop, hip hop or just normal rock?" Oh summer, her mind went start to Spain and getting lost with her sister and meeting boys there. "Well i did start the summer going to Spain with Vivi and we got majorly lost and I meet some Spanish boys and have to say my accent improve talking to them and well they help us get unlost and well went to the beach with them...." She blushed a little at the last part picking up a random glitter dragon record. |
Quote:
He asked her what her name was, he wanted to know her name! Was he just being nice, yes he probably was. "My name is Valentina" She probably didn't need to say that she wasn't from England, her accent most certainly gave that away or her Mexico jersey she was wearing. None of it mattered though, what mattered was a picture and she was looking around for that shopkeeper, "Can we get a picture together?" |
Quote:
As for a picture? Of course! "Most definitely!" The Englishman grinned from ear to ear and moved closer for the sake of the picture. Standing at 6'3" he would make sure to fit the frame next to her for a perfect picture! Slapping on the brightest, charming and sultry grin on his face he prepared for the snapshot with the beautiful Valentina. He was always more than welcoming when it came down to autographs and pictures with his fans. |
SPOILER!!: Lamberto and Valentina He could certainly recommend something for him, if he knew what his tastes were beyond classical. And he could recommend something for the lovely lady as well, though she seemed much more interested in the man he was assisting than him or what he was selling. Hm. Lamberto Urupi. Uh... the name was familiar. Quidditch player, likely, but Atticus didn't follow the sport so much to be a fan. Clearly this woman was though, and Merlin did Atticus feel like some sort of third wheel here, a feeling he was not used to. Right. And he was about to let the love birds get better acquainted... or maybe he could suggest some romantic music to take with them, when the woman asked if they could get a picture. "...................." "Uh, sure.... have a camera?" Because even though they were already posing and looking ridiculous, Atticus Zeller did not carry cameras around on his person. SPOILER!!: Trinetta and Eloise He watched them inconspicuously for a moment before walking by. "Are you ladies finding everything okay?" He was always good for a recommendation or two as well. |
