PoA is my thrid favourite book after HBP and DH, I loved the introduction of Sirius, Remus, Wormtail and Buckbeak and Aunt Marge being turned into a giant balloon, genius!
It was a welcome break from Voldemort and it was nice to find out a little bit more about Harry's parents, how they died and who betrayed them, I was so glad it wasn't Sirius! The Dementors were a bit freaky, but great characters.

This is my favourite book of the series, although I love tham all this is just a notch above the rest. I love the characters that were introduced and the glimpses of Harry's parents through their friends eyes. I just love Sirius and Lupin.

| Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite out of the first four. But after the forth one, I think they just get better and better. The reason i like it so much is because it has sirius black and lupin in it. i just love the story line, it's quite simple, but it has an amazing twist at the end. |

Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite Harry Potter book. It was the first of the series that I read, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as I'd hardly heard of the series before. I enjoyed the whole animagus thing, and I felt that there was an excellent twist in the way that the person who had caused the death of Harry's parents had been sleeping in the same room as him for three years. The introduction of Sirius Black was great, even though we only got to know him over two books, he was a very important character in that time. Overall I think that the book is the best because it has the introduction of some major characters, plus who could ever forget the winning of the Quidditch Cup by Gryffindor for the first time in however many (I forget) years. I give this book full marks |

This is my second favorite book, after Deathly Hallows. To my way of thinking, it is a gateway to the darker books. The younger characters become stronger, more in control of themselves, and generally more dynamic. The first two books introduced the characters and Harry's fight for his life and freedom from the dark past he can't remember, as well as his fight for the wizarding world as a whole. POA gives us a break from Voldemort by showcasing Harry's parents and family, and his father's friends. It also foreshadows much of the next plotline in GOF and OOTP, with the Marauders taking a major role within those books. Each book is a harbinger of the next books to come, which makes Rowling such a fantastic author.

I'm re-reading the series and I'm on PoA now. I'm reminded of how much I love Sirius and Lupin. The plot twists and everything in the book are so greatly written. Definitely one of the best.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Helena Bandee First Year | Until I read the last two novels in the series, this book had been my absolute favorite. It is so much more uplifting, especially at the end, when Harry finds that he has a living "relative" who does actually want him and wants to raise him, for whatever it is worth. And to Harry, that is worth more than any other thing in the world, I would imagine. Sirius Black has fast become one of my favorite characters, along with Remus Lupin, because of their steadfast loyalty to Harry and to his parents. They are extremely complex characters who deserve much more than what befell them.

| This is my 2nd favorite book because of all the twist and plots. My favorite part was when Harry and Hermione went back in time to save Sirius. That part was cool. |

| The break from Voldemort was a very welcome one. The introduction of the Marauders was a nice delve into the past and it explained a bit about Snape's intense dislike for James, Sirius, and even Remus though I believe that most of Snape's dislike for Remus was because he was just there. The truth about Sirius Black, his innocence and the irony of the true betrayer, Peter. Remus is probably the most lovable character in this book. From his actual teaching of the Dark Arts to his patience with Snape and his knd nature.
On the other hand, Hermione surpasses overachieving and greatly annoys me in this book. As handy as the time turner was in saving Sirius and Buckbeak, why she was given allowance to it in the first place is beyond me. Have previous students been allowed the same privilege? Also another thing is the disrespect of the teachers, likable or not. Hermione with Trelawney and the Trio with Snape, where was the punishment or the reprimand?
I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. |

This book was waaay better then the 2nd.
Excellent plot.
Kept my mind racing and trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I was thrilled that Harry was able to find and establish a relationship with a relative. ((Too bad he had to die later on)) I felt that this set the rest of the series. Peter Pettigrew, Sirius, James and Lupin how they were all friends in school.
I loved it. =]

I used to really not like this book--it was my least favourite until I got tired of the first one. I was intrigued by the role played by Harry's parents' old friends, however I'm not a huge fan of Sirius and Lupin like others. |

This was my third favorite book! It was nice for Harry not to fight Voldemort. So, it's nice. It's great to meet Sirius and fall in love with him.

I think that the prisoner of azkaban was a really good book. The film was amazing too and I know that it got fantastic reviews. I love the way you find out how hermione was taking all those classes, and that sirius was actually a nice man.

To be honest, I thought they where all great books and I will be writing the same things to all of them. I loved the way jk immediately tried to turn the audience against Sirius black, but really he was innocent.

When I read this book, I was smitten. I think I read this about 4 or 5 times in a row. Finished the last page, and flipped back to the first page. I loved it SO much, from Sirius (the most), Lupin, more information on James and Lily, the MARAUDERS!, Harry showing his Aunt and Uncle who's boss Wizard. I really can't say which is my favourite because they all just stand out, but this was definitely the book that stood out. I think because poor Harry finally had some family.
