Bowling Lanes One, Two, Three and Four Thank you to Pixie for the graphics.
After you have been directed here from the Shrunken Head Counter (if you haven't been there yet, make sure to go there RIGHT NOW before anyone sees you) you find yourself at one of the four bowling lanes in this section of the shop; either One, Two, Three or Four. Please try not to disturb any of the other players while you make your way over to your bowling lane.
As you take a closer look at the bowling balls you realize they are a bit...unusual. They don't look like normal bowling balls and if you pick one of them up, it is very likely that you're going to get screamed at. Please, don't drop them, the Shrunken Heads don't like to face plant.
Even though their heads look a little squashed already.
Anyway, if you use them as bowling balls - and you don't really have a choice - you better not miss the bowling pins at the end of the lane or else you're going to be hearing about it for a while. And very loudly too. And probably not in a very nice way either. Which is going to be happening A LOT since the bowling pins have a tendency to suddenly disappear, move or reappear when you least want them to.

OOC: Please do NOT post your character in this thread unless you've been instructed to do so after posting at the Shrunken Head Counter or otherwise been given permission by the shopkeeper (Felixir). If you do, there will be consequences, both IC and for serial offenders even OOC. The shrunken heads which serve as bowling balls are not going to be RPed by anyone, so feel free to post them shouting about and whatnot. But make sure not to break any Site Rules - because not even Shrunken Heads are allowed to break those. Also, as always, do NOT RP for the shopkeeper (Felixir).

As she seemed to become uncomfortable, Charles frowned at her curiously, but then nodded in response to her. "Yes, it's very simple." he assured her, setting his jacket to one side. He picked up one of the heads and held it up. "This, for all intents and purposes, is the bowling ball." Ignoring the inane chattering from the head in his hand, he handed it over to Elizabeth. "Now roll it down the lane and aim for the pins at the end." he nodded to the other end of the lane.
Elizabeth stared at the head in his hands a little and hesitated. She took it and then glanced at the pins on the other end of the lane. Eliza then glanced back at the head and shivered a little. Elizabeth sighed and rolled it down the lane, knocking 3 pins over. She didnt like shrunken heads at all... they are just too creepy looking... Eliza glanced at Charles, "Like that?" Elizabeth figured she didnt do that good at it...

Amused by her hesitation, Charles watched her take the head and roll it down the lane. Nodding as she glanced back to him for acknowledgement that she'd done it right, he clapped politely, but then nodded to the heads once more. "You get another roll to attempt to get the rest of the pins, but yes, you're doing it right." he confirmed.

She picked up another head then tilted her head, listerning to the useless chattering for a second before rolling it down the lane. It hit 2 pins this time. Elizabeth backed up a little bit so that Charles can go.

Elizabeth grimaced at the laughing and yelling heads and picked one up. She rolled it down the lane then stood back, watching it roll. It knocked over 6 pins which was better than she had done before.

Elizabeth ignored the laughing heads and looked at Charles. Her smile grew when she saw a shadow of a smile. Eliza loved trying to get a smile from him. It seems so hard since he tries to come off as a grumpy old man but if you look deep enough you can get a glimpse of his sweet side though it rarely comes out... Elizabeth liked Charles... as a friend, of course, and couldnt see why Jack despise him nor why if she had told him where she was at, at the moment, he would yell and call her loose... Jack would probably think it is a date but to Charles and her, it wasnt a date... they werent interested in each other and even if one was, Eliza was married and wouldn't cheat on her delightful but over-jealous husband. Elizabeth put a hand to her head, coming out of her thoughts and turned to get another head, rolling it down the lane and only getting one. Elizabeth stepped back to let him at it, accidently going back into her thoughts for a bit.

She seemed to lose herself in her thoughts for a moment and Charles knew better than to bring her back to Earth while she was thinking. He tilted his head as she put a hand to her head and watched her bowl again. His eyes flicked from the pins to Elizabeth and he approached her instead of taking his turn. "Elizabeth? Are you okay? Elizabeth blinked, coming out of her thoughts again. She glanced up at Charles, not sure what he said to her but it seems that he was waiting on her to answer something. Eliza blinked at him for a few moments and then her face contorted to one of confused. After a few moments of confusion, it turned into one of embarassment. "Sorry... did you... ask me something?" Her cheeks were lit with red and her smile faded a little as she thought how embarassing this was and how he must think her rude for not listening to him... she didnt mean to... it was a sort of... a... mistake... yeah a mistake...

Elizabeth gave him a light smile, "Thanks, Charles." She saw the compassion that had flickered into his eyes and it touched her. Eliza was amazed that Charles would let it show he had compassion at all. Elizabeth watched him bowl. Even when Charles was distracted, he was still better at bowling than Elizabeth is. Eliza took a head and rolled it. She only hit one pin. She took another and rolled it. Elizabeth hit three pins that time. Eliza stepped back to let Charles take his turn as she started to think again.

As he had to let go of her arm to sit down and change his shoes, he found that he did it rather reluctantly, to his surprise, but didn't think much about it. "Do you want to go first?" He asked as he sat down on the nearest bench and took his shoes off, slipping into the bowling shoes. Yes, yes, ladies first and all that, but all he truly wanted was to delay making a fool of himself. He could already see a couple of shrunken heads glaring at him.

And needless to say that heads caught most of her attention, She didn't know how to feel about throwing those. It was both fun, eagerness to try and easiness. Because they were heads and all. Nevertheless, she smiled at Konrad and sat next to him changing into the bowling shoes as well.
She surely wasn't going to play in those high-heels she had on. So bowling shoes were so required.
Once she had the shoes on, she raised her eyebrow playfully at her companion. "Why, of course." She said standing up and walking over to where the heads were. After hesitating for a split second she reached for one and picked it up. Before facing the pins she stood with the head in her hand and turned it over checking it out, out of curiosity. Of course the head didn't appreciate it much and to avoid the annoying noises the blond walked over so that she faced the pins.
Calculating the distance she put one foot ahead of the other and swung back her arm that held the head then chucked the thing forwards. A smile never left her face because she felt childish worrying about whether she'd succeed in hitting all the pins and if not she throw too fast not calculating correctly.
As the head rolled, Victoria turned to Konrad and flashed him a grin before turning her gaze back to the wheeling head. And her smile widened seeing the head knocking down or making them disappear. But she wasn't so satisfied as like half of the pins disappeared right before the head reached them. But at least she managed to hit some.
Walking over to Konrad she winked at him. "That was a test. Now you show us what you got?" Yup. Competition it was.

The blond sat and crossed one leg over the other. She was curious to see how Konrad would do with this bowling. She at first assumed that he was very good at it since he was the one who suggested going bowling in the first place. Though she sensed his hesitation as they made their way here. But she also assumed that that might be a technique or him just being humble.
Well, obviously not.
Victoria couldn't help not giggle after her friend missed all the pins and the way his face flushed red. She stood up and nudged her friend playfully on the shoulder, "That is very sweet of you to do." You know giving her a head start and all that. Which obviously was a joke but she was playing along. Having fun you know.
Picking up another head, one that somehow seemed a quiet one, if one existed. She faced the lane and over her shoulder she looked at Konrad, "Watch and learn," She said with a grin. She took a couple of seconds to until she angled her body and let go of the head that let out shouts of protest. The secretary tried to ignore it focusing her gaze on the pins. And just like the previous time, she only managed to hit some of the pins while the others disappeared. Other just changed their location which Victoria raised her eyebrow at.
Shrugging her shoulders she walked over to her friend and sat beside him. "Well, I managed to knock some down at least." She said laughing. "You never played Bowling?" She asked curiously. Though she kinda knew the answer seeing his performance but it made her curious. "My older brother taught me how to when I was young." She said remembering how Sam showed her how to throw the ball and how to calculate distance and other stuff. That brought a larger smile to her face. Old memories always did.

That was very sweet of him? Well, Merlin's sparkly hat! That comment only made his cheeks turn into a deeper shade of red, as did the tips of his ears. It was ridiculous, really. Unfortunately, though, it was something he had no control over, and he hated it.
With a small smile playing on his lips, Konrad watched her once again as she swung a protesting head towards the pins and, again, missed a few, but not all of them. He was starting to consider some other place when they wanted to go out next time, but this was as fun as things could get around Diagon Alley. Besides, there were plenty of other games to play across the room, he'd noticed. Taking her out for dinner was far from anything fun and... would she want that? Would he even want that? Where did all those thoughts come from?
He was brought back out of his reverie as Victoria returned to her seat, cheerful as ever. Biting his lower lip, he shook his head in response to her question before standing up to grab a snickering head, who probably overheard everything. "That's nice," he commented, turning to look at her, grinning, the head still in his hand. "My brother would enjoy every single opportunity of beating me." With that, he faced the lane and threw the still snickering head, once again missing every pin. They didn't even bother disappearing, as they did when it was Victoria's turn.
"... like right now." Oh, Philbert would have surely enjoyed this moment.

Now this was interesting, she giggled hearing his comment on his brother, " My younger brother would've enjoyed seeing me miss the pins too." She said referring of course to James. He would've enjoyed it big time while Sam would've taught her how to do it better.
"Okay, let me show you how I do it." She said standing up and walking over to him. "I'm not a professional you know but it might help." She added as she picked another head, one that had hair. Why not try all the looks. She faced the lane and motioned to her colleague. "Um..Stay by me and watch." She said with a grin on her face. It sounded fun her teaching Konrad something.
Like she did the two previous couple of times, she lowered her aim and let got of the head and watch it roll down towards the pins. The head kept rolling in a straight line until it reached the pins however the pins disappeared. "Well, then you only hope that the pins don't disappear." It wasn't her fault really..she would've knocked them down hadn't they disappeared.

When Victoria stepped forward and stood next to him, he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow teasingly as she offered to show him how to do it, but didn't make any comment about it. The grin on his face said it all. It was rather embarrassing, though, because he was supposed to be the one who was good at this. He was supposed to be helping her, not the other way around.
Doing as he was told, Konrad stepped out of her way and watched as she did pretty much what he had been doing all along, except for the far better aim.
... the aim. That was his problem. "I suppose there is no way you could improve my aim?" The man asked sheepishly, a small smile on his lips.
