Bowling Lanes One, Two, Three and Four Thank you to Pixie for the graphics.
After you have been directed here from the Shrunken Head Counter (if you haven't been there yet, make sure to go there RIGHT NOW before anyone sees you) you find yourself at one of the four bowling lanes in this section of the shop; either One, Two, Three or Four. Please try not to disturb any of the other players while you make your way over to your bowling lane.
As you take a closer look at the bowling balls you realize they are a bit...unusual. They don't look like normal bowling balls and if you pick one of them up, it is very likely that you're going to get screamed at. Please, don't drop them, the Shrunken Heads don't like to face plant.
Even though their heads look a little squashed already.
Anyway, if you use them as bowling balls - and you don't really have a choice - you better not miss the bowling pins at the end of the lane or else you're going to be hearing about it for a while. And very loudly too. And probably not in a very nice way either. Which is going to be happening A LOT since the bowling pins have a tendency to suddenly disappear, move or reappear when you least want them to.

OOC: Please do NOT post your character in this thread unless you've been instructed to do so after posting at the Shrunken Head Counter or otherwise been given permission by the shopkeeper (Felixir). If you do, there will be consequences, both IC and for serial offenders even OOC. The shrunken heads which serve as bowling balls are not going to be RPed by anyone, so feel free to post them shouting about and whatnot. But make sure not to break any Site Rules - because not even Shrunken Heads are allowed to break those. Also, as always, do NOT RP for the shopkeeper (Felixir).

"Great job, Castell!" she side commented. And it's her turn now. Lowering her body a bit, slightly leaning on her right side, she held the shrunken head with difficulty. It's just too hard to keep it steady with all the talking coming from it. Doing her math, with all the angles of the path the head could possibly follow, she decided to roll it slightly from the right side. Erin watched the head hitting six pins, well only because others disappeared. "That was so unfair!" Erin cried, she could have hit all the pins. Bummer!
After a slightly bad mood she felt with the pins disappearing, she averted her attention to Beezus who were now explaining her side about not telling Indy what she knew beforehand. Though, Erin on the other hand would most likely tell Beezus everything - since their bestfriends - even if it meant hurting her, she couldn't help the fact that Beezus had some good point in there. "Okay, I just hope you two could figure things out and be besties again." Then came the thing about the boyfriend telling the bestfriend about it. Complicated? What did she meant by complicated? She was a Ravenclaw, she couldn't miss the important words, of course but instead of dwelling with those kinds of things, she didn't want herself indulging too much into some things Beezus doesn't want to share yet. In time, she may just blurt it out.
Moving on to Erin's real family situation, came Beezus inquiring side. She asked everything she could ask. "Woah! Easy Bee," she uttered to her bestfriend. She tried to keep steady, eyed the lane first but decided to keep it towards Beezus. "Well, you know that my Dad isn't too fond of me when Mum died. And then somewhere in between those days, on the summer before second year, Tina loathes me so much. I used to tell you we're so close right?" And she missed that little sister of her. " And then we had the biggest arguments ever, that I didn't want to tell anyone, even you... How about we just talk about these some other time? Since, I just wanted to be happy right now, okay?" Because if she told anyone, it would mean everything was true. And Erin didn't want it to be true. She didn't want to feel guilt. She didn't want to be happy because she felt so guilty. She smiled towards her bestfriend.
Heh. That was exactly what Beezus was feeling right now. Although she loved her Grandmother, she just couldn't see herself spending the rest of her youthful days with the woman. This summer was quite an exception though. She only nodded fervently as Erin shared her own comments about the matter because her best friend's aim had surpassed hers. Darn, how can she have hit only four when Erin got six?! Competition wasn't any in any way occupying her right now, it was more like disappointment.....with herself. Because she was a Quidditch player on their House and she could've even hit half the summed total of the pins! Gah, she really was rusting. "You've got great aim Cornelia." Grin. "You should consider joining the Quidditch team." They could use an extra hand alright.
Hmm. Indy and her? Make up? That wasn't entirely impossible however she didn't really know how to approach the girl. In the first place, she didn't even know why Indy got mad at her...well, actually she did...but..she couldn't completely understand. "I hope so too." Beezus sighed.
Woah too. Okay, she'll take this easy, nice and slow. The brunette didn't dare interrupt her best friend when she told her about her family facts, nodding every now and then, brows furrowing at certain statements. "But..." Beezus began when Erin suggested they get rid of the topic. She wanted to know more! "...Oh, okay then.." But Erin was right. They were here to have fun and enjoy each other's company, not converse about things that could pull their moods down to the bedrock. Moreover, there was plenty of time for those matters when they arrive at school.
"Let's start heating things up, shall we?" And without waiting for another word from her best friend, Beezus grabbed the head she had been eyeballing earlier on. It didn't made any fuss of complaint or anything since it's lips were sewn together yet it did look at her furiously. Oh, sorry head. But the game is just starting.
Beezus took her position, leaned a bit on the left for a clearer angle, concentrated on the pins, then swung her hand with agility. The head went round and round until it hit...8 pins!

"Listen up... hairy thing," Cade held up the head and gave it a firm look, although she couldn't see anything but long, stringy hair. Thank goodness. "I'm going to throw you, and you're going to knock down the pins. Don't embarrass me in front of Rafa." She shook the head once before rolling it down the alley, this time an actual ROLL and not a fling.
"I did better when I wasn't aiming," Cade took her seat beside Rafa on the bench and elbowed him lightly. "Show me how it's done, sir."

Welllll. Rafa hadn't done much better than Cade had, but at least he wasn't scared of the bowling head things. He was almost... cavalier in his technique. It was impressive, really, and not something Cade was going to be able to replicate.

Rafael sent a smirk her way. He DID insist on being logical, most all of the time actually, but today he was also, apparently, showing his more jovial side. Then again he didn't have anything to be cautious of, like shrunken heads.
"Even if you do, I'm quick." He moved to switch places with her, absently brushing aside a few stray curls when she paused. So he paused to. Him go first? "I said everything, huh?" That was.. a lot. "How about I start with the basics and.. fun facts, and we can save the rest for a later time." Deal?

Some of his plants had voices.
Easing back in his seat, and considered her question. "I actually enjoyed visiting here before my instatement at the ministry, but Romania is a good second. What about yourself? Do much traveling?"

"How old is your nephew?" She tried not to be too interested, but it was so seldom she found anyone else with a child at home. Most people were skittish about it, as if Cade would suddenly foist baby pictures and adorable stories on them. She had discretion about these things.
She wasn't sure... was it her turn? Cade settled back into her seat with a slight slouch and shrugged. "I lived in Germany very briefly when I was first married, but I've been a London girl ever since. Did some traveling, but not as much as I would have liked. Which is just... sad, because the only reason I didn't was laziness."

"Turned 18 not a few months ago. Just started working with an orphanage." Which... had partially taken him by surprise. But it was a good cause sorta thing, and Tetrius did have enough in common with the kids there. It was good for his nephew really.
Rafa sat back grew quiet to take in her story, nodding his head in understanding on the last bit. "Traveling can be tiring.. it helps to keep it up when you're being paid to do so." He grinned slightly. Sure he loved to do a bit of traveling, but when he wasn't up for it the money always kept him motivated. "Of course the ministry doesn't leave too much free time for travels. Have you always been in law enforcement?"

I worked at the Greater London Crup Rescue for several years, and then I helped my husband get his business off the ground. When he passed away, I needed to direct my energies somewhere else..."

"I'm definitely winning," Cade agreed with a half smile as she took a seat again, gesturing toward the alley with her hand. It was Rafa's turn again, and he would probably pass her on this round.
She pulled her legs up underneath her and wondered about that offer for lunch. Was that today? Or was he suggesting he wanted to see her again? She'd never been particularly adept at this whole... thing, but she was especially inept at reading men now. Perhaps marriage had dulled her abilities. "I'd be happy to tell you all about crups, if that's where your line of questioning leads you," she finally offered carefully.

"Regardless, my brother adopted a mutt as soon as he was settled, and I volunteered at the crup rescue right out of Hogwarts."

"My brother once tried getting a jarvey once. I think he would have been more successful at feigning an allergy towards his owl." Rafa was growing more distracted by their conversation and less focused on game, so it was a brief moment of starring before he took his next turn.
There was a little more effort put into it, but not much.
Mentally shaking the thoughts of his brother aside, he went and took his seat, gesturing for her to play her round. "How old is Carrigan?" He was assuming that this was her child? His expression said as much.

That... was miserable, and Cade made a very strong effort not to laugh. Externally. Internally she was giggling through her fingers, and it might have shown in her eyes a bit. It was more than a little obvious that they'd about run through the course of this particular activity.
"She's seven. Smarter than anyone I know, and I haven't figured out how she got that way. Perhaps her uncles... she has two and they take very different approaches with her." Both good, however. Both effective. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to just admit defeat and declare me the winner?"

She was laughing at him. Merlin, had he done that bad? Rafa glanced back at the pins and gave his head a slight shake. There was a reason he'd not been bowling in a while, and maybe this was it.
"Uncles are good in the respect, I suppose." Some uncles at least. A small amused smile managed to find it's way onto his face as turned his eyes back to her. "I would only if we got to do this again. Hang out I mean." Not bowl. A man could only lose so often til it hurt his pride.

For a moment, Cade worried that she'd wounded Rafa's feelings with her mirth, but he seemed made of sterner stuff than that. She rose easily from the seat and patted the man's arm with a gentle hand. "If it makes you feel better at all, you're still much better at this game than I am."

"I have a feeling you let me win," Cade scolded gently, but she allowed herself to be escorted toward the door. Oh! She had to remember to take off her shoes and return them before they left the building. Didn't want the creepy counter guy to tackle them on the street to get the shoes back.
"Thank you, Rafa. I... I had a nice time." And she tried very hard not to sound surprised by it.
He nodded to her politely once more as she thanked him and looked at her out of the corner of his eye when she mentioned his mother. "I'm sure she would be." You know, if she was alive and all. He turned back to the owner and nodded to him once more. "Thank you." Charles nodded to him again. That was when he stood back and gestured for Elizabeth to lead the way to lane three.
Elizabeth smiled and led the way to lane 3. She glanced at the ba--- no... it was heads... Her eyes grew a little and she twisted her rings then glanced at Charles. "Do you... erm... now how to play?" A blush came to her cheeks, "I... kinda have no clue." Eliza giggled a little and messed with her curls, feeling stupid. Her eyes wandered back to the heads.
