Default Eeylops Owl Emporium

Eeylops Owl Emporium strives to provide witches and wizards, young and old, with the necessities required to properly look after an owl, whether that be with packets of food or just a cage. Once you enter through the door you enter a world of chirping birds and rows upon rows of owls, ranging from the adorable tawny owl to the unique screech owl. Big or small, cute or ugly, quiet or obnoxious, each one would like a caring and loving home.

On either side of the rows of caged owls, adorning the walls are shelves. These shelves hold all of the things under the sun that you could ever what for your owl. Lining the first set of shelves are many jars of weird looking insects, ranging from stick insects to your plain ordinary green fly. The owls will eat any of these insects, so take your pick and buy as many as you want. Above the insect jars are an assortmert of boxes all holding different sized packets of owl pellets. These are fun-sized little bits of food that are perfect for an owl. Dotted along either side of the shop, alongside the shelves are big boxes, contain an assortment of little cuddly toys and other little trinkets that will allow you to care for your owls every need.

Toward the back of the shop, a straight line from the door, where the shopkeeper is waiting to assist you. As you reach the back you notice that, like the rest of the shop, it looks old fashioned, maybe a bit rustic, but don't criticize for the shopkeeper loves their shop just as much as anything. When you're ready to cash out, go ahead, wait in line, and you'll be ready to leave with your new owl in no time at all.

Text Cut: Inventory

This shop is NOT STAFFED and has a NPC shopkeeper.

Which hypocritically he was here to get an Owl as a Pet, but still. He would abuse the purpose of the Owls and have his deliver letters back to his parents, and them back to him. "I think it would easy to say just one Owl per Family." Moose replied back. "Unless the family is huge, but for my family it's just my parents, and my little sister is to young to write." Also it was too early to tell if she was gonna be magical like him, so would she even need one of her own too?

"Does a breed of Owl matter?" He asked. "I would assume some are faster, and stronger so they could make flights much easier." He held out his hand to show just a few galleons. "I don't have much to spend though so I was looking at one that was cheap, or second cheapest I suppose." His eyes looked back to the red-brown Barn Owl behind him.
All it took was a soft hoot from one of the owls to draw the young boys attention to it like a moth to a flame. Blue eyes watched it's every move and he smiled. He was going to have to speak with his dad again soon about this. "That would make sense if it worked that way. At home there's five of us and my parents, we're all going to Hogwarts this year now. So it would be five letters sent to home... and we also have older siblings that are on their own with families and cousins too." Which meant a ton of letters and parcels coming and going.

"Not necessarily," he shook his head. "Some people prefer a certain breed, others go with the one that they are drawn too or for what they might need it for." Such as a fast flier or a stronger owl or simply as a companion. Lukas swung his gaze over to the barn owl that the other boy was looking at now. "That's always a factor too. Price. Barn owls like him I believe are on the lower end of the price range." A few were still cheaper but many others were more expensive. "Don't forget that you'll also need a cage, food and treats too." As well as anything else the owl may need.

"That's a lot of family." was all Moose could manage to comment his tone of voice sounding rather impressed with the size of his family. "I don't have any cousins, just a baby sister." Both his parents were single children. "What's your name?" he asked next. "I'm Moose. Do you go to Hogwarts?" Did he not see him at all last year?

Hmmm "Yeah I just need an Owl that sort of speaks to me, you know? But they should be in my price range." He stuffed the money back into his pocket. "My parents have some more of the money. I think they're talking to the Shopkeeper about all that stuff." He turned his head around to look around the shop to see if he spotted them, which he didn't but he was positive they were in here doing what they do best as Muggle Parents trying to understand this whole thing still since he turned out to be a late magical kid or something like that, since last year.

He turned his attention back to the Barn Owl that had caught his eye. He tilted his head both ways while inspecting it and places his thumb and index finger to his chin. "Maybe this guy. He's got a really cool color to him, or uh...her?" How do they know what gender the owl was?

Lukas gave a quick but firm nod of his head in agreement. There was no denying it anyhow. He did have a rather large family. It was something he was used to though so for him, it was completely normal to always be surrounded by people. "None? Don't you get lonely?" Not having any siblings or cousins wasn't anything he could imagine. "Moose?" Lukas gave the slightly younger boy a curious look but he wouldn't ask. "I'm Lukas. Yeah, I'm heading into my third year. Ravenclaw. What about you?" Had he seen him last term? Maybe. With how many students were at Hogwarts it was easy to forget.

"Having a good connection is always important. If the one you choose if the right one for you, you'll know it." That's how he had chosen his kitten last summer. He had went with the one that had came to him.

Turning his blue-gray eyes back to the barn owl that Moose was looking at, a light smile tugged at his lips. "You can tell if it's a him or her by their feathers. The shopkeeper will tell you everything you need to know." Sure, he could tell the boy himself but he wasn't asked nor did he want to possibly get it wrong.
