The Room

You're not on the ground floor, not in the basement and in fact not in the upper corridors of the dungeon either. No, this room is buried deep down in the castle, beyond Merlin's eye if you will. So far down, you hear no sounds, not even the scampering of rats.

This room has been magically extended to fit the brood that will be locked away and forgotten and left intentionally bare besides.

Guards are posted outside the room, changing at irregular intervals. Others guard the rooms on either side of this one to prevent any bright ideas...not that any are expected. At this point, if the students haven't learned better, they will earn themselves a one way ticket to the other side. Free of cost, first class, red eye flight and everything.

Welcome to your new life, you have some of your classmates to thank for that, and some of you have your family.

Throughout this room, you are plagued with the feeling you are being watched. It's an eerie feeling you can't shake...except maybe in the corners.

This is how this works:

• Students will be taken out twice a day for sunlight and fresh air. This will always be supervised (a little like when you have to take your cruppy for a walk) and will occur at 12pm then at 4 pm.
  
  
• Meals will be had IN this room. All meals, no exceptions. The Great Hall needs the extra space anyway.
  
  
• Students will be escorted to and from lessons. Guards will collect them and usher them from class to class. At the end of the last class--and during meal times--they will be taken back to the room. Running is not encouraged but if you're that tired of being here, understand the Headmaster is doubly so and will happily oblige.
  
  
• Bathroom trips will be done in monitored groups. These will be at regular intervals so you'd best hold it until the next trip. Bath times are separate and will be monitored differently.
  
  
• The door is guarded day and night, as are the rooms on either side. Guards are not posted IN the room itself.
  
  
• Wands are collected and returned upon entering and leaving the rooms (where they are collected about returning and given back upon leaving for classes--not for walks).

OOC: If you wish to play your students out during one of the "walks", please understand you MUST assume they are being supervised and on time constraints. They wouldn't be allowed free roam but wouldn't be stopped from talking with peers depending on the subject matter. The alliance is always watching.

If you would like to know if your charrie would be on this list: reported troublemakers (this would’ve had to be played in the field trip thread and not assumed), and those with muggle heritage (muggleborn, one muggle parent or possessing a muggle grandparent, nothing further back than grandparents) are the ones who have been taken in. If you want to assume your charrie kicked up a fuss and got thrown in here, you must run it by me (DaniDiNardo) first, as depending on what you say they did, they may get a different punishment entirely.

At the age of fifteen and a half, Violet didn't know if she counted as older or not. But missing that year of school--she was only in third year, and only knew third year spells for the most part. She didn't realistically think she was up for a battle with hardened, adult wizards yet. Then she heard a familiar voice nearby.

Claudine. Actually, that didn't sound like a bad idea, either. Slytherins were a suspicious bunch for the most part, and they might not be willing to trust a professor at this point, after the faculty had seemed to be going along with the Neo-Alliance all year. Having a student or two along might give the snakes more confidence. And there was always the possibility that not all of the students left in the common rooms were on their side--Recard should have backup in case some of the Neo-Alliance supporters decided to make a stand against her.

Violet wasn't up to fighting adults, but she had no hesitation in fighting her fellow students, if things came to that. So she hung back from the rest of the students and waited to see what Recard and Claudine would do.

The more Quinn thought about it... the more he thought about his chances of getting killed. And they were many. Not all of the Alliance members would be fighting in a battle, so he would have to avoid them the whole time which would be... tricky. He wasn't sure if he would be able to do it after all. The flame inside him burned brighter—he wouldn't be able to do anything, yet again. He hated this stupid situation.

Quinn begrudgingly followed the rest of his classmates up to the spare room, simmering with heat the entire time. He wished an Alliance member would try to mess with the group so he could Petrificus Totalus their butt.

Valencia had been mentally preparing for this moment all term and knew exactly what to do without hesitation. Step one, get the young students to a safe place. Step two, join the fight. She tied back her hair in a step that meant she clearly meant business. Then, without hesitation, she hung back letting the younger students lead the way out following the professor. She'd fall behind just in case there was something came up on the back end.

Kinsay had mastered the art of clinging to both Phoebe and Emmerson at a very young age. It came in handy for times like these, when she needed to cling like the world depended on it (it kind of did, in some way). So that's what Kinsay did. Cling. Cling and try to hold back her tears in hopes that if she clung hard enough, Phoebe James would not leave her. It was a silly plan of action, but it was the best one she had right now. If Phoebe stayed then Cece stayed and if they stayed maybe Yoyo and Flynn would stay too.

Upon Phoebe's declaration, Kinsay felt instant relief. A tiny, baby tear may have trailed down her cheek, but it didn't really matter because Kiz had taken it upon herself to bury her little head in Phoebe's robes. And if it weren't for the fact that they were heading off now, Kinsay may have lost her composure entirely. So it was good that they were leaving. Gave her something else to focus on.

Gabi nodded at Claudine. She was a fifth year, and if she wanted to come with her, she was one of the older ones who would understand the risk. "Alright, but stay close and do what I say," she reminded her. There was no room for arguing there.

"I'll meet you at the room," she said to her colleagues, who were evidentially wrapping up here as well, before turning and gesturing for Claudine to follow her, heading out and into the corridor.

"Let me come with you--or take someone," Violet blurted out from behind them, "You might need backup. And remember...not all the students in the Common Rooms are on our side." Surely the professors had been paying attention all year--they couldn't just trust all the students to come along and play nice, some of them were practically Alliance members already.

Claudine did understand the risks. All of it. But there were persons in the Slytherin Common Room like Fiona and Bella whom she needed to make sure were safe. The girl had come to realise that her friends were her family who she chose. Not her actual family members who were out there, most likely out there fighting for the Neo Alliance. The said family members might even want to kill her Not that she was going to tell anyone this. She nodded in agreement to Recard, a promise to be obedient and stay close.

The fifth year then shifted her eyes to Heath. He couldn’t enter the Common Room obviously but she knew that he’d follow her as far as he could go. She gave him a look that pleaded with him to make it out of this alive before following her Head of House. There was only a pause form her upon Violet's words. All decisions were up to Recard though Claudine knew her friend was referring to students like Nem.

Waiting in line for his wand, it was finally his turn as he retrieved his wand, it was like when he first gotten it all over again. He never been so happy to see his wand outside of lessons in his life, as cheesy as it was the first year snake was crying. "T...Thank you" Hearing the Professors speak he nodded his hand his eyes darkened with anger. He didn't know what he could do, but he wanted to get his revenge on Rosier and his hodded minions.

Dahlia was trying. Honest she was. The sudden rush of emotions she suddenly felt from not only herself but all of those were around her, was too much. She didn't know what to do or how to feel.

A part of her wanted to jump for joy at the prospect of being broken out of here and the possibility of getting to go home soon. Another part of her wanted to run and hide away and cling to her loved ones until it was all over. A battle was no joke, people were going to get hurt... or worse. Yet... there was another small part of her that wanted to run off and find her Papa. If there was a battle happening, there was no doubt in her mind that her Papa would be here. Which meant uncle Connor, auntie Addi and Hady were here too and most definitely Frankie since he was an Auror. She knew running off on her own would be incredibly stupid, the chances of her managing to get very far were slim to none. Which is why she couldn't risk it.

Blue eyes shifted onto the taller boy close beside her who wasn't family but her bestie friend. That look in his eyes told her exactly what she had to do. Lia hugged him back tightly before gripping his hand firmly in one of hers, her other still held onto her wand.

With a simple nod of her head, this little firstie did the only thing she could do. Follow her siblings and the professors to the 'safe' room. Not letting go of Tadhg's hand, Dahlia pulled him along with her. There was noway any of them were going to be separated.
