Zip-lining Adventure - Fiji Feel the rush as you soar high through Fiji’s lush tropical rainforest, and the beautiful cascading waterfalls on the most thrilling zip line in the South Pacific. Definitely not for the faint hearted, this activity should and will help clear butterflies from the stomachs of those with a fear of heights. This is a thrilling experience for all, witches, wizards and muggles alike. |
Perhaps she wan't quite appropriately dressed for this particular activity, and a part of her wanted to just roam the rainforest on foot. That way she could inspect particular specimens more closely. But ... seeing as this was a 'holiday' adventure, she wouldn't make it all about 'work'. No, this time, was play time. Pulling Aron along by his index finger, Seren looked over her shoulder. "This should be fun!" |
They had just been go go go ever since arriving in Fiji, but Aron didn't mind one bit. It was exactly what he and Seren had been needing - more than a plant needed sunlight to photosynthesize. Yes, this vacation was literally a little patch of sunlight just for the two Herbologists. Now the two of them could photosynthesize like proper Helianthus annuus. He couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that she was leading him around by his finger - pull my finger jokes anyone? - but he refrained from commenting as they made their way through the jungle. "Will," he smirked as he nonchalantly took off his shirt and stuffed it in his bag. What? It was hot out! "It will be fun. Ladies first?" |
Frowning for a second, Seren huffed. "No, I meant should..." she was more of a glass half empty than half full type of person anyway. That way the disappointment wouldn't hit as hard. She could see the platform just ahead, but was distracted by Aron's sudden shirtlessness. Well... you couldn't blame a woman for staring. Ahem. "Me? Why me?... You should go first." That way if he got smacked in the face by something, she'd have fair warning. |
Sighing slightly, Aron slung his backpack over both his shoulders and began to strap himself up for this first of many adventures. "Seren, when are you going to stop that?" he asked, a playful smile still tugging at his lips. "Not everything in life is going to disappoint you." *click click* all straps done. He then made his way over towards his poppy and cupped one side of her face with his right hand. "I won't." Not on purpose anyway. He had worked too hard to finally catch her to do that. He leaned in quickly to brush his lips against hers, smirking somewhat as he pulled back and then hooked himself onto the line...thing...whatever it was called. "Suit yourself...Although, I suppose you will be getting the better view that way..." Going after him that is. |
When was she going to stop doing that? "Doing what?"... Oh... Oh.. Seren blushed, her cheeks glowing a warm pink. She watched as he strapped himself in and even though they weren't the most flattering contraptions, he managed to pull it off. "I know..." she whispered in reply, allowing him to kiss her softly, resulting in her cheeks flushing once more. "Mmmhhmm, exactly my thought," Seren replied with a wink, giving him a light smack on the bottom. |
Nope, she wasn't going to get to play the shy violet card on him this time. She knew exactly what he was referring to. He was right. Like he usually was. Duh."Good," he replied with a wiiiiiiiiiide smirk as he removed his hand from her cheek. Once he was all hooked in, he glanced over his bare shoulder right as she smacked his bottom. Oh yeah, that earned her one of his more smirky smirks. "Alright, but next time I go second," he grinned with an extra eyebrow wiggle. "Oh, just in case this snaps and I end up falling to my doom...I love you." And then, without another word, he kicked off the ground and went zooooooooooooooooming down the line making some sort of noise that resembled Tarzan. |
Resisting the urge to giggle like one of her students, Seren tilted her head slightly and pursed her lips to suppress a grin. One of those big grins that resulted in Aron's ego inflating to the size of a Rafflesia flower... it just wasn't worth it. "Deal." Because it was only fair that way. Extending her hand, Seren pressed down on his eyebrows, in a poor attempt at concealing and preventing them from wiggling so much. He was bound to get wrinkles on his forehead if he continued this behaviour. "I love you too." Shaking her head at Aron's childish leap of faith, Seren strapped herself up, attatched her cord thing to the line thing... and... Merlin. "Here goes nothing..." And kicking off, let herself zoom down the wire after the good view. |
After a while, Wesley had to stop running because it was HOT. He wasn't used to it being so hot during the winter time, plus it was humid too and it was making him realize just how out of shape he really was. Whew. When he and Pepper arrived at the zip-line, Wesley saw that there were several landing platforms on the line to check out different things. That was NEATO. Wesley grinned and nudged Pepper. "Doesn't that look FUN?" Inside, he was actually quite terrified, but he was hoping that acting excited and fearless would make him feel better about it. Heh. So... "Ladies first?" Heh. |

He hadn't really allowed himself to take in the sights just yet, feeling overwhelmed by the rush of wind in his face and through his hair, but when he did eventually allow himself to look around it was simply breathtaking. Still....his next thoughts were how much he wanted to get into the water... Grinning like a fool, he glanced over his shoulder at Seren and flashed her a cocky thumbs up. "ENJOYING THE VIEW?!" |

Seren didn't reply to Aron's comment, from what she could make out it was something about the view... and... the thumbs up? no doubt his cheeky attitude again. Instead, she laughed, finally feeling free and relaxed. It was so nice to get away from work, and kids, and drama and responsibility. It made her feel more like herself than usual. This was... such a good idea. |

She wasn't quite sure if she wanted to do this after all. Couldn't they like... go build a sandcastle or something? Something... SAFE? Eeeep. |

Wesley gave Pepper a kiss of encouragement and grabbed her hands and slowly lead her to the harnesses. "It's totally safe." He actually had no idea, but it LOOKED safe. And there were two people already doing it and they seemed very NOT dead, so that was reassuring. |

"How do you know it's totally safe if you've never done it before?" She questioned even as she strapped herself in. Wesley was DISTRACTING HER! She glanced at him and sighed in defeat. Alright. She'd go first. She was already set anyway... "Promise you'll be right behind me?" If she was going to die, she didn't want to die alone... |

"Would they have a zip-line here if it wasn't safe?" Hmmm? Wesley didn't think so. Once they were over, Wesley helped Pepper strap herself in and then got himself in his own harness. He put his weight on it to make sure he did it right. GOOD. Wesley looked at Pepper and nodded. "I'll be right behind you. Promise." He flashed her a grin that hopefully didn't show how nervous he was and urged her to go. Before he changed his mind! |

Okay. Deep breath. She could totally do this. Pepper glanced over at Wesley and nodded, "Okay." She leaned over and gave him a quick kiss before getting a running start and zooming off, squealing all the way. EEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKK. |
Quote:
It was possible. Wesley gave Pepper an uneasy grin when she kissed him and then ran off. He held his breath and watched her zip on down the line... and she hadn't fallen! Yay! That was reassuring. With a deeeeep breath, Wesley sprinted towards the cliff and then jumped right off with a wild yelp that sounded something like Tarzan being strangled as he bounced around and down the zip-line. Maybe jumping wasn't a good idea. BUT HE WAS ALIVE. "WOOHOO!" WHAT A RUSH. |
