Do you ever feel a bit confused about your characters personality type? Or aren't quite SURE what their strengths and weaknesses would be, or how their personality would go about with interactions, thought processes etc.?
The Myer's Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) gives you information (after taking THE TEST) on;
- The Mind (how the characters interact with their environment) - Introverted (I) or Extroverted (E)
- The Energy (how the characters direct their mental energy) - Intuitive (N) or Sensing (S)
- The Nature (how the characters make decisions) - Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
- The Tactics (how the characters approach work, planning and decision-making) - Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)
There are 16 different personalities;
The Analysts- INTJ: The Architect
- INTP: The Logician
- ENTJ: The Commander
- ENTP: The Debater
The Diplomats- INFJ: The Advocate
- INFP: The Mediator
- ENFJ: The Protagonist
- ENFP: The Campaigner
The Sentinels- ISTJ: The Logistician
- ISFJ: The Defender
- ESTJ: The Executive
- ESFJ: The Consul
The Explorers- ISTP: The Virtuoso
- ISFP: The Adventurer
- ESTP: The Entrepreneur
- ESFP: The Entertainer
After taking the test, you will get your characters very own MBTI, which shows you an introduction to that type, strengths and weaknesses, how they behave in romantic relationships, how they behave as friends, how they behave as parents, their 'ideal' career paths, and their workplace habits.

Yeah, I'd say that fits her...
I kinda didn't like the term Campaigner to describe her though, until I realize she literally does campaign, in her own messed up way, for things she wants. Like starting Animagus training.
Not all of the description fits her, but I have a feeling that it's in part because she's 13. I can see it fitting her fully as an adult.

I agree with most of it except I don't see him as condescending, I think he would go out of his way to ensure his students UNDERSTOOD something. I don't see him as ever being condescending towards his students for not understanding. I think he'd adapt to their learning style to explain something. But then that also feeds from his intuitive side, I think... Quote:

I love taking these tests to give me an idea as to what their strengths and weaknesses would be for their personality. I find that the hardest part of developing a character.

 The first time I took the test for Brooklyn, she got ENTP, but now I took it again for her and she got ENTJ-A. Although honestly I think there's still a lot of ENTP in her. Both do kind of fit though.

I'm forever obsessed with the Myers-Briggs test so I have typed all my characters and am going to be annoying and share them all. Helps me find them when I first start playing them, too, to establish their personality so I can grasp them properly and not have them come across as wishy-washy. I've kept a big list of all my characters, and with each new one I try to pick a new personality I haven't played before to keep myself from being stagnant. These are all the ones I've played in the school RP, plus my one DA Shopkeeper:
ENFP - Julia Beaumont (Class of 61, Terms 8-14)
ESFJ - Chloe Agoobwah (Class of 66, Term 15)
INTJ - Pierre Montague (Squib, tried to take over the school, Term 16)
ENFJ - Kyle Carter (Muggle Studies Professor, Terms 17-18)
ISFP - Becca Parker (Class of 72, Terms 19-25)
INFP - Maximus James (Class of 79, Terms 26-32)
ISFJ - Erin James (Quidditch Official/Flying Instructor, Terms 33-34)
ESTP - Sophie Brown (Class of 88, Terms 35-41)
ISTP - Callum Kettleburn (Class of 95, Terms 42-present)
INFJ - Libby Ollerton (Ollivander's Manager)
10 out of 16 of the types have been tested out.  That's... 6 Introvert/4 Extrovert, 5 iNtuition/5 Sensing, 7 Feeling/3 Thinking, 5 Perceiving/5 Judging, and I've explored... all four NFs, three SFs, two STs, and only one NT. The Thinking function is not super well-tuned for myself, so it's been a lot of fun to play Soph and Callum for the last eight terms. Their ST (to my NF, I'm an INFP) is very refreshing.

So I did this for a few of my characters. Corbin got ESTP - The Entrepreneur. I'm reading through it and a lot of it does seem accurate, "likeliest personality type to make a lifestyle of risky behavior" "may get too caught up in the moment and take things too far", for example, as well as his strengths and weakness. There are parts, though, that don't exactly fit at the moment - but I can see him growing into them. Except for the 'good parent' trait, that's something I can never see happening, but hey, he's only a teenager.
Dalton, however, was very different. He got ISFP-t - the Adventurer. It does feel very accurate for him, if only he would actually make the effort to make friends and get involved, but then with his personality type combined with his past... Well, it does make sense as to why he's slightly stand-offish.
ESFP-a - the Entertainer, for Adam. Which, at the moment is probably the most accurate, but then again he is the adult. It also makes sense that he's very similar to Corbin, because I've always felt that about the pair, but their differences are marked, and the combination makes for a rather bumpy father/son relationship!
Personally, I got ENFJ-t - The Protagonist. I remember doing a shortened version back in college where I got ENTP, but ENFJ makes sooo much more sense for me, after reading the descriptor. It makes me laugh how different I am from most of my predominant characters, but I share traits with each one.

I used to retake the tests for my characters around every OOC year or so. With the younger characters or really anyone Hogwarts aged it's obviously soooooo likely that the type will change as characters develop and grow and change themselves and priorities/mindsets change and personal things change them. Same with adults though not quite to the same extent, though my own MB type cycles between three main ones (INFJ, INTP, INTJ). So I keep an eye on my more unpredictable characters if I have the time, or the ones whose personalities are slightly more complicated/complex than some of my lesser played ones. I don't do the test/figure out a possible MB type til they're at least 11.
That being said, Daxton is so painfully INTJ and very... Very Daxton but I will be really interested to see if it changes and then figuring out what might have caused it to happen.
