The shelves and displays are the first thing you notice as you enter in the Quality Quidditch Supplies shop. The side walls of the shop are neatly stacked with brooms and posters galore. You will find the latest brooms in stock as well as the typical family broom available. Between the side walls there are various shelves that are filled with various quidditch supplies and goods. This includes but is not limited to robes neatly arrayed on stacks, keeper gloves and on the two most outer-middle shelves, broom service kits. Lastly the back wall displays books and other reading materials, all to do with Quidditch of course.
All items are displayed with a price tagged on them. Be sure to handle with care, if you break something you must pay for it. When you are done here, go on ahead to the counter to pay for your new goods. Otherwise if you need any assistance at all please feel free to ask the shopkeeper, Brad. He will be more than glad to help you.
She couldn't BELIEVE her Mummy said yes, especially when the woman said no so many times about so many things when it came to having friends down in the alley. This time, Noah walked the alley proudly, having already promised to be careful and not get caught. This time, no looking behind her every two seconds for Korpsit because he KNEW she'd left the alley and she wasn't about to be in trouble for it.
This was a huge confidence boost to the 6 year old who actively scouted the scene about her as she walked about Diagon Alley.
It was through the display window that she noticed a girl off on her own. Mummy said those were the best and that she shouldn't REALLY try if they've got a Mummy or a Daddy paying super close attention. That would get them all in trouble and then she wouldn't be able to have friends over anymore.
Noah skipped into the store, bright eyes scanning for the aisle she'd seen the girl walk through. It didn't take tremendously long to find her and when she did, the little girl held the brightest smile. "Hello!" Was she BUYING something?? "I'm Noah. Wanna be my friend?"
She really was not planning on buying anything. Her dad was still talking and Ruby Rose was now officially bored. Sigh. On top of everything, she didn't even like quidditch. Ruby Rose thought she was alone in this aisle.
Guess not
Ruby Rose smiled. Manners.
"Hi"
Blink. Was this how you made friends
"Im Ruby Rose. If you can help we get that down then sure"
She pointed at a stuffed snitch that was on the top shelf and well being only 6 she was way to short to reach by herself and did not want to ask her dad for help right now. She would be would just be told to wait.

"I can help!" Noah decided, bouncing a bit on the spot. If all she had to do was get that snitch down, then it'd be a piece of cake and they could go play! "You stay here!"
The six year old spun on her heels, making a mad dash for the broom display. It didn't matter which one, as long as it could reach. Noah bounded back around the aisle with a wide grin that revealed a missing front tooth. "Okay, get on the floor and I'll get it for you." She said, looking to the stuffed snitch once again. It was just a little too high up but if she had something to stand on (or someone) it'd be sooooo much easier.
"And then we can take the snitch and the broom and go play, right?"
Was that the deal? Should they shake on it? Her Mummy shook hands when she made deals. Hmmmm.

Was she going to do it? Ruby Rose just watched her go to the broom display and Oooh that is a good idea. She got it. "Yeah! dont think we can top this though" Ok Ruby Rose got down on the floor in front of the snitch and braced herself for what she thought Noah was going to do.
This was going to be awesome.
Then after they could of course play. Her Dad would be happy she made friends and well anyone who helps her like this had to be fun to play with
Simple.

Noah bounced eagerly on the spot, waiting for Ruby Rose--that was a long name, wasn't it?--"Can I call you Ruby?" to get down on the floor. This was gonna be a piece of cake. Mummy would probably have been proud if she saw her do it.
"Perfect!" The 6 year old hopped onto her new bestest friend's back, wobbling just a little before straightening.
"This'll just....take..." The broom wobbled unsteadily in her small arms, swaying this way and that, "a second!" Almost had it that time. Noah kept at it, swinging the broom this way and that until she finally knocked the snitch plushie down....along with everything else on the shelf.
"Uh-oh....."........."Come on, let's go play!" Before the man showed up and realized they'd made a mess. Noah took hold of her hand, tugging incessantly. "We gotta go! We gotta go!"

"Ruby is fine"
Her dad called her Ruby since she could remember and her mum called her Ruby Rose. Both were fine. Did she get it because she was about to collapse on the floor.
How much longer.
.....that didnt sound good. Ruby got up quickly and saw the mess Noah mad. She was so going to get in trouble for this, she didnt not even have a chance to pick up the snitch before being tugged away.
"Uh ok, guess we should go play now"
She didnt want to get in trouble for this and playing sounded a lot better
"I just have to tell my dad"

Yaaaaaaay! She said they could play now! With her free hand, Noah reached down for the stuffed snitch and shoved it albeit a little forcefully, toward Ruby before retaking the broom. NOW they were all set to go....huh...?
She...wanted to tell her daddy?
"Noooooooo!" The little girl insisted, now tugging more assertively than she had been a minute ago. "No, we can tell him afterwards when you get back! Promise, but we gotta go now. What if he says no? And...and then we can't play anymore....and I got you the snitch so you have to, you promised."
Those were the rules. She said they'd play if she got her the snitch and it was HARD, okay??? She almost fell and they made this big mess and if they didn't go now they'd get in trouble for nothing. No, Noah wasn't having it. They were leaving right now as quick as they could.
"Come on before we get in trouble."

Ruby Rose wasnt going to take the snitch now but she was too shocked to even place it back or throw it away so she just kept holding it and be tugged out the door which she was not really resisting since she did want to play just nervous not telling her dad.
.......she was making sense and they probably weren't going to play for long so she stopped talking and nodded.
"Ok lets play?"
They can decide on everything when they are playing.
She had already forgotten she had the stuff snitch still on her person.

This visit was for business reasons. Sagni had no intention of talking to any humans though. Not necessary. Her two goals today was to see what the current costs were for those stupid matchsticks wizards flew on so the bank could adjust the insurance rates for such things, and secondly she was seeing how many of the matchsticks on sale used goblin-made metals for the bands around the tailtwigs, and for the foot rests.
Just research. She skulked for a few minutes, made a few notes, and then left quickly, completely ignoring all humans in the vicinity.
Today Muirgen was out and about in Diagon Alley without her kiddo. She felt funny in a good way not having the backpack carrying her mini me, but also felt a bit strange not having said weight on her back. She could definitely get used to it again, though!
So she didn't have her kid with her, but... her shopping trip had the ickle one as the main subject. Was 1 year-old too young to have their first broom? .......Probably a little late, maybe? Was she being crazy? She didn't think so. Not at all! The kid was probably a natural, with the parents she had. Hehe!
OhmyMerlin, how little were those practice robes!!! The redhead held one up and chuckled at the adorableness. Although they were pretty small, her kiddo was way too little for those yet.

Summer was upon him and Derf was READY for it. More so than in previous years. For the first time since stepping foot in Hogwarts, the castle and even thr grounds had felt somewhat suffocating. Scratch that, not somewhat, VERY suffocating. And it wasn't for any one particular reason...though he did try to brush it off on to one or two things, but he knew that wasn't fair. He was TRYING to be more mature about these things. The key word in that sentiment being TRYING, of course.
So it was with great pleasure that the now fifth year had stepped into Quidditch Quality Supplies today - he needed a new pair of googles because, well, there had just been an unfortunate incident involving a hoof...or the foot of a certain species of near-ungulate, you know...just regular teenager stuff to see over here...which was obviously what brought him here today. And not with much time to spare since he would be taking the annual summer trip back to Australia to visit dad's side of the family for, well, a bit of winter in the Land Down Under. And, after Dufftown, Derf was relieved that his parents had let him out alone at ALL.
Even if one or both of them may be lurking just down the street, you know, supervising him for reasons.
Sigh.
While he had come here for goggles...the 15-year-old was instead holding a few badges and pins from various teams in the palm of his hands. Some of these would look very smart attached to his briefcase, you know?

Emmalyn scampered into Quality Quidditch Supplies with money in her pocket. She had been saving up the entire summer, working odd jobs, to buy her very first broom. Not only had she been looking forward to buying her broom all summer, she also could not wait to try it out. Unfortunately, she had no idea which broom to purchase. What she wanted was a Moonbrusher II, but she didn’t have 9 galleons to spend on one if she also wanted to get new goggles and replace the servicing kit that broke just a few months back.
She made her way to where the brooms were, noticing a familiar face. “Hi Derf. Nice to see you.” She greeted the fifth year with a smile and a little wave as fluttered past towards her destination. The shop was small enough that he could say hi back or chat if he wanted, but she was fine either way. They had the entire school year coming soon to catch up.
Overwhelmed by the choices before, she looked around for someone that might be able to offer suggestions about which broom to purchase. Happy with it or not, it would be her broom for the next year and she had no desire to use a school broom again.

QUIDDITCHHHHH! Trinetta had been sooo excited when she heard that Hogwarts had a Quidditch team. Apparently it hadn't been around for years? What luck that it had come back just in time for her to join the team! Hopefully she'd be able to hold her own against the older students in...whatever house she ended up in. She had just gotten a new broom last year for her birthday, so she definitely didn't NEED one.
Still, that didn't mean she couldn't go LOOK. She'd ordered her broom through the catalog - this was a whole SHOP of brooms! How exciting!
Plus, Jimmy had told her to stay in this area while he got himself something to snack on. So she really didn't have a choice but to come in here and browse, you know?
The incoming first year walked in and made a beeline right for one of the back shelves because...well, it was in her eye line. There were two other students nearby - an older boy by the looks of him (wow what great HAIR that boy had!) and a younger girl, probably around her age. She smiled at the two of them, even though she could just keep browsing quietly by herself, but she was trying to make a good impression here. She assumed ALLLLL these kids were her new classmates, and it was never too soon to start making friends. "Hello," she said politely to the two of them.
And then, because she couldn't resist, she turned to the older boy. "I like your hair!" Seriously. Such VOLUME!

Honestly. The summer was her favourite time of year. It was a warm. She could have ice cream. And summer meant quidditch. That was the best thing in the world. It was even better this year since she had made the Under 17 team. She was like nearly pro now. Which was super cool. She hadn't gotten a new broom. But she'd had a new bat at Christmas, and she was looking forward to just playing well. She hoped that they did well. Although she hadn't played for her house team, it had been disappointing to see them lose. So.... she was excited to play again soon.
Today though, she was spending some time in Diagon Alley, and was heading to the quidditch shop. After the ice cream shop, this was her favourite, and she wanted to get a few new things. She'd saved up some money, and wanted to get a new kit for looking after her broom. But she got a bit distracted as she went in, and saw a familiar face.
"Hi Derf!" He was still cute, but she was over that now, and she just liked seeing her friend. So this was going to be a lovely little reunion.

Having selected a few new badges and pins for his suitcase, Derf had now moved on to browsing some of the magazines - mostly to catch up on the U-17 players who had moved on to greener pitches. Daisy Carden, Zinnia Shacklebolt, and one of his first heroes and mentor: Henry Whittebrook. He was currently engrossed in Henry's most recent interview when he heard his name spoken somewhat meekly and his eyes popped up over the edge of his magazine and easily found Emmalyn and his lips curled into a soft smile while actively pushing away thoughts from the fourth floor corridor aside. "Emmalyn , hey," he greeted, watching her for a moment. "That's right. You get to bring your own broom this term! I couldn't wait to bring mine. Parents got me a Thunderbolt 6000."
Grinning at his housemate, it took a moment for the fifth year to register that the smaller newcomer was talking to them....and that the hair comment was about his hair. "Oh uh....thanks," he chuckled, ruffling his hair reflexively...a lot. "I...uh...like yours too." Which, well, wasn't a lie and it was nice...as far as hair went. "Looks shiny. Bet nifflers could mistake it for spun gold."
When he wasn't actively trying, he could be a poet, you know?
"I'm..." But just before he could introduce himself, and Emmalyn by proxy, someone had done half the job for him and pulled his attention momentarily away. "Lilian, hey," he smiled and waved her over. "You're slotted for camp next week too, yeah?" It was always nice beating with the Gryffindor, much easier than it was with Kimi for sure. He still hadn't quite worked out a system with his fellow Hufflepuff. Maybe this term would be different...assuming they both made the team again.
Galoping gargoyles, this aisle was getting a bit crowded now.
"Um...so I'm Derfael, but friend call me Derf," he said, turning back to the youngest of the trio of girls. "This is Liliane," he introduced, gesturing to her next since she was the closest to him at the moment. "And Emmalyn," he concluded, gesturing towards his Hufflepuff teammate near the brooms.

Naturally, when shopping in Diagon Alley, a stop at the Quidditch Shop was in order. His Uncle Lucas's entire life was devoted to the sport from mentoring and training the Brasil National team to the present as being the Quidditch Division Manager at the Ministry. They both wanted to check out the broomsticks.
At present, Brody was admiring the shiny, new brooms on display while his Uncle was off chatting with someone. The boy had his own broomstick at home and wasn't in the rush to get another. Still, he was quite fascinated by them.
Quidditch was in his blood too and he hoped to make it to the House team of whichever House he was Sorted into.
Hopefully that was Hufflepuff like Uncle Lucas and Aunt Tallie.

What started out as an almost empty shop, quickly tuned into a crowd. Ladies everywhere, and being sweet to her Derf. Especially the youngest newcomer. His hair?? Her feathers ruffled a bit. Even though she had vowed to not ever have a repeat of what happened THAT day, she still felt quite protective of her Derf. She eyed the youngster, trying to determine her interest in the fifth year.
"Hello. Like Derf said, I'm Emmalyn. Second year Hufflepuff." She greeted the new girl, stressing the second year part. Not only was she beyond excited about being a second year and all that went along with it, she knew that her petite stature might cause others to think she was a first year. "Are you new to Hogwarts?" She didn't want to assume the girl was a first year, same as she wouldn't want anyone else to assume she was a first year. For all she knew, the girl could be a transfer student.
She turned her focus back to Derf. "I've been saving up all summer to buy a broom. What would you recommend?" She gestured to the large selection "I was thinking either the Firebolt X-Treme S or the Nimbus G-4." She knew how fantastic a player he was, so she hoped he would guide her in the right direction for her purchase. She wanted nothing more than to make the house team again.
"Hello to you too, Liliane. How was your summer?" Her smile was genuine. She had hear rumors of how well she played quidditch and hoped to hear some stories about her playing on a non-school team.

Daisy hoped to make the Quidditch team again this term. She was secretly wishing that her position on the team wasn't going to be as a reserve this time. She needed a brand-new Broomstick Servicing Kit and she wanted to purchase some Quidditch related magazines. In her pocket was a small pouch full of wizarding money.
She went to browse the shelves when she spotted Emmalyn, Derf and a potential newbie. "Hello, all!"

House and year. Right. Somehow including all of that in his introductions tended to slip his mind. Unconsciously at least. He purposefully omitted the mention of his prefectship whenever speaking to people, especially when they were not in the castle. Though he reckoned this coming term he could not exactly get away with keeping his badge in his pocket the whole train ride. Though there had been a REASON for that last year, seeing as his had fallen under a mundane bush eaten by one of mum's flesh eating shrubs.
Though he would wait to add those personal details, seeing as Emmalyn was asking him a more pressing issue about brooms. "Hmm...well, since you're aiming to keep Chasing for the team..." He assumed rather. "...I reckon that a Firebolt X-Treme S would be better. It's faster, or CAN go faster when handled right, than a Nimbus G-4...though the Nimbus model is easier to handle since the weight of the wood is a bit lighter. Kinda better for beaters in that sense...but my two knuts would be on a Firebolt. But, you know, brooms are like shoes and wands. You gotta try one out before seeing if it's the right fit for you."
And it was his bright blue eyes surveying the brooms that helped him catch Daisy's approach. "Heya, Daisy."

Ok, they were Hogwarts students, and they were in...Hufflepuff? Was that even a word? It sounded made up. Then again, she had only briefly glanced at the houses and their names in that new Hogwarts book she got - she figured she'd learn more about them when she was actually there and actually HAD one to call her own.
She smiled at the boy again. "Thanks!" she said with a little hair flip. "I like how voluminous it is," she told him with a nod. He should know WHY she admired it, after all. She then wrinkled her eyebrows. "A niffler...those are those little...mole looking things, right?" she asked. She was pretty sure she had read about those in her creatures books. Why would it like her hair, though?
"What's a Hufflepuff?" she asked the two of them. "I mean...I KNOW it's a house or something at school but...what makes you guys Hufflepuffs?" she asked. Time to start learning a bit about this school...and maybe trying to figure out what house she would be in!

Aiming to keep chasing for the team??? Um, yes! How could he even think that wasn't a possibility? Her mind spun at the thought of her not being chaser for the house team. "I most certainly do plan on being chaser." She had a quick sick feeling at the thought of not making the team, but she pushed it right back down. "I would be up for trying my hand a keeper or even beater, but chaser is what I like the best." She had no desire to be a seeker. Not enough action for her taste. She like to be in the middle of it all.
"So, the Firebolt X-Treme S. I like it. I think that's what I'll go with. I'm not sure how much practice time I'll get in before the term starts, but I guess I better find a way to get used to a broom that's not ancient. The school supplied brooms are rather lacking in...well...everything." Her expression was joyous as she spoke about her absolute favorite thing to do at Hogwarts.
Just as she was about to ask Derf about his quidditch team plans, Daisy approached. "Hi Daisy!" she squealed and bounced with a clap of her hands. It had been far too long since she had seen her best friend. If they hadn't been inside the store, she would have probably ran over and hugged the fourth year. "It's so good to see you. Are you here to get some gear for playing this term?"

"Hufflepuff is the best house at Hogwarts. I might be a little biased, but I love each and every Hufflepuff." She glanced to Derf, hoping he didn't think she was saying she LOVED him. She did, but she loved all of the Hufflepuffs. "The other houses are great too." Emmalyn quickly added. She had no idea what house the young girl would be sorted into, so she didn't want it to seem like the other houses were bad.
"This is my friend Daisy. She's a Hufflepuff too." She gestured to Daisy before turning back to the new girl. "What was your name again? I'm not the best at remembering names." That was an understatement. She was simply horrible at remembering names. Asking the girl her name was more of a distraction in hopes one of the others had a better explanation of what a Hufflepuff was. They had both been at Hogwarts much longer than she had, plus Derf's prefect status meant he should know all the things.
Oh, how we drift away from our friends. And the ones back home play remember when
Daisy smiled at Derf and Daisy who were discussing broomstick options. "I flew a Firebolt X-Treme last year and I had no trouble with it. However, as with any broom you need to take care of the broom and practice is key. Em, you were so amazing as part of the Hufflepuff team so I am certain that you and Derf will be a part of the team yet again. I hope to be either Keeper or Beater. If I'm a reserve again, well at least I'm on the team."
She waved her hand towards the shelves. "I'm buying heaps of Quidditch-related magazines and a new Broomstick Servicing Kit. My Quidditch robes are fine, thankfully."
Daisy then turned her attention to the young girl as Em introduced her. "Hey there. Hufflepuff is a great house represented by the badger. We're known for being loyal and hard-working. Some tend to think of us Hufflepuffs as not being brave like a Gryffindor, witty like a Ravenclaw or cunning like a Slytherin but if you read Hogwarts: A History and read about such Hufflepuffs as Newt Scamander, Nymphadora Tonks, Cedric Diggory and all those that helped Harry Potter during the Second Wizarding War it will show you why I'm proud to be a Hufflepuff."

QUIDDITCH SUPPLIES! Chloe had asked and asked if she could go in, but her mom was always so busy, today though she allowed her, but made sure to tell her she would not be buying any brooms. At this point though Chloe was going to get what she could and she happily hurried into the shop.
Where had Gunnar and Morgan run off to? She looked around for awhile, but soon got distracted by the books about quidditch and the quidditch magazines. Seeing the Tornados on a cover of one she moved it to the front, they needed to be front row. Her eyes now going everywhere she soon found herself standing in front of a line of snitches. "Oh wow" She had touched plenty of them being on the youth teams but these were so shiny.

So Ethan was honestly not convinced anything about quidditch yet. Yes, his father had played on the Hufflepuff house team as a seeker and maybe a chaser too? BUT for one, Ethan wasn't even sure he LIKED flying. Also, he couldn't get his own broom for his first year anyway, so what was even the point in looking? Models would change by next summer... and then he'd have to start the whole process all over again.
And yet, here he was, finding his way into the quidditch shop, hands shoved into his pockets as his hazel eyes scanned the displays, oblivious to the hoards of 'big kids' chattering away and gravitating instead toward a kid maybe about his age?
"You fly?"

There was only one thing Beth wasn’t sure of today – her quidditch abilities. Still, the soon-to-be first year walked around the store and glanced around at all of the brooms and t h i n g s on display…really, the one thing that caught her eye was the beaters bat.
Really, that was one a m a z i n gweapon thing…right, it wasn’t a weapon, except it was. Oh…look there were people around her age here! The brunette talking to gangly-boy tall pretty seemed about her age…still, looking around at them was likely not the best move the soon-to-be first year had done that day. Simply because she nearly walked straight into two. Kids near her own age…standing straighter she just looked at them as she stood there but a hairswidth away from them.
Had she grazed them? Who knew, they did…she did, but she was going to feign innocence either way. ”…you havec u r l y hair...do flies ever get stuck in it?” she simple announced to the one boy before looking at him. The one she had nearly walked into.

Chase's bright eyes landed on the Nimbus G-4 and then on the Firebolt X. Which one had Anna mentioned that she wanted? He couldn't remember... Firebolt or Nimbus....? Firebolt sounded like it was worth it. He continued walking down the aisle a little ways more until he saw a line of snitches. Then he heard a higher pitched voice. Oh wow. He turned his gaze downwards and found a small girl standing right in front of the snitches.
"Incredible, huh?" he said, offering a small smile.
