The shelves and displays are the first thing you notice as you enter in the Quality Quidditch Supplies shop. The side walls of the shop are neatly stacked with brooms and posters galore. You will find the latest brooms in stock as well as the typical family broom available. Between the side walls there are various shelves that are filled with various quidditch supplies and goods. This includes but is not limited to robes neatly arrayed on stacks, keeper gloves and on the two most outer-middle shelves, broom service kits. Lastly the back wall displays books and other reading materials, all to do with Quidditch of course.
All items are displayed with a price tagged on them. Be sure to handle with care, if you break something you must pay for it. When you are done here, go on ahead to the counter to pay for your new goods. Otherwise if you need any assistance at all please feel free to ask the shopkeeper, Brad. He will be more than glad to help you.
"Oh come on. I don't even hit you that hard. You big baby." She pinched his cheeks. "Unfortunately for you its the only greeting you get." And he should be grateful that she didn't greet him with a hex. Eeew. Hug. Didn't Colt know she doesn't do hug? "Get off you big goon!" She pushed him away. "And that's make you a better player than me?" Snorts. "I don't think so, Winchester." She said, folding her arms over her chest. Colt definitely had a death wish. "Well then, I need to start charging for fee. How's 1 galleons per seconds sounds" Pretty cheap, right?
She did not appreciate the sarcasm. Not one bit.
"Me a big baby? Nahh man. I am a sensitive person usually girls find that attractive more so than most.." he eyed her a few seconds and shrugged. Woah woah woah. She pinched his cheeks!? Woah only grandmas and mothers do that. He slapped her hand away and commented, "You know the only person who has a right to do that is my grandmother and ma. You are obviously not one of those.." he pointed it. If she was that would be creepy. "Well I will keep my expectations low from now on especially for you.." he began to observe the shelves and found nifty little trinkets. When he went to hug her, he felt Candice squirm and mission accomplished. He chuckled with laughter. "Now now is this how you would ever treat a potential boyfriend..?" he teased yet again.
"Well judging by facts and such I think it does prove something. Well then I will need a scrimmage one day when your not busy doing adult things." Adult things like going to university and such. He smirked when he noticed she put her arms across. She looked like a mad munchkin. He thought it was too cute like a rabbit trying to be fierce look. "Look at you getting down to business. Well sadly I have been shorted out of galleons. Would sickles count?" he held one up.
"Me a big baby? Nahh man. I am a sensitive person usually girls find that attractive more so than most.." he eyed her a few seconds and shrugged. Woah woah woah. She pinched his cheeks!? She was trying to look intimidating here. Not cute. Definitely not cute. "Nope. I only take galleons." She can't even buy anything with one sickle.

VERY cool, excuse him. Merlin Sam was so reserved. Genny was familiar with Hassan's name and face and playing, but she'd never met this Junia. "Oh? Who's Junia? With us in school? Hassan is such a handsome player." Laughing and blushing a tad at that giant face of his. Genny took the poster from Sam happily then pointed to Hassan's one. Posters were never too many, her room's walls had still some room. "Do you have a favorite team or player?"

Quidditch was banned at school years ago. If you're interested in playing, you're gonna have to join a league outside of school." If he was gonna be a Fourth Year, he still had plenty of time to join an under 17.
It figured the terminology would bring in further question. Some might say 'force' was a strong word--but it was completely true and meant in the most literal sense of the word. "Force. If I could help it, I'd never go back but apparently a magical education is super important."
Brent nodded along as if he understood perfectly. "Duuude, I hate when parents nag about stuff," he said. His parents were usually good about that kind of thing, but he could definitely sympathize with this guy right here. Brent's eyebrows shot up in surprise. Well, probably more like in shock. "He bought you a brand new broom, and you never even ride it? What for, man? I'd be glad to give it a good run to make it look like it's getting some use." This guy wasn't a first year, so he could easily bring it to school with him. Brent would be pumped to give it some good use.
It seemed like the guy could also sympathize with him about the whole move from America, even if he probably hadn't ever moved before. "I pretty much didn't talk to my parents for a few weeks. I think they got the picture, but they said the move was necessary," he said. "Today's my first outing, and it hasn't been all that bad. The people here are pretty cool." So if that was anything to go by, Hogwarts should be a cool place, too.
Then, as if the bad news he'd already heard wasn't bad enough, QUIDDITCH had been BANNED. "Banned?" he asked, with even more shock than he'd shown before. "What is it with you lot and sports? You hate it or something?" he asked. No Quodpot. Banned Quidditch. Brent's heart sank. He'd been counting on sports to make him feel at least a little better about this whole move. Now there was nothing. "What'd they ban it for?" he asked.
"Unfortunately for you this girl didn't find it attractive." Definitely not. His grandma? His mother? Nope. She definitely not both of that. But. "That never stop me before." Translation: I can't ruffle your hair anymore because you're taller than me. "Yes. You do that." Keep your expectation as low as possible because she's not going to give him a hug. Never! You would get taller than me when I am first year and then I would catch up and you gotta live with your short height.." he smirked. "I doo, I have Juliette and she is a real catch lemme tell ya. But doesn't mean I can tease ya and make your life somewhat harder." Come on he can't let her off that easy.
"Bring it on little one.." he teased her yet again. "Or better yet to get out your revenge on me, let's have a duel. Like back in DADA days.." he was itching to get back in the ring. "Ughh don't remind me. I don't know what I am gonna do. I have no idea what career I want.." That was a fact. He was still debating two possible outcomes. "Well then your out of luck sweetheart. I only have sickles right now..." he was gonna test his limits and pulled her into a bear hug. He even ruffled her hair.
The Catapults, huh? Junia considered this, gaze shifting to the bobble-heads representing the players from that particular team. "I like that Franks-Mundie guy. He's an impressive beater." She nodded, eyes falling on the younger boy beside her. "He's not as good as my cousin, though." No one was as good as Hassan. Not yet. Maybe when she was a professional Quidditch player, she'd be able to pass him, but only because he taught her his skills.
"The Magpies are my favorite! My cousin, Hassan Botros, he's the best player on that team. The other players are really good, too. Like Fuller-Thompson, he's the best keeper in the universe." The WHOLE universe. There was also the small fact that Junia thought he was incredibly dreamy. Not on the level of Prince West dreaminess-but close.
"You play any?"
Cameron looked up at the girl, watching her as she seemed to be considering his answer. Did she like them too? Did she hate them? HE WOULD FIGHT HER IF SHE HATED THEM! Luckily it appeared that she did not in fact hate them.
So no need for him to get all agitated.

Junia loved bragging about Hassan because he deserved all the praise and she deserved praise for being in a family full of amazingly talented people. That's what she thought, anyway. One day she hoped that people would talk about her the way they talked about her older cousin because then maybe, just maybe, her whole family would be proud of her. It was all she wanted-to live up to the Botros name.
Crossing her heart, the brunette nodded solemnly. "I was in his wedding earlier this summer and everything. There was lots of press about it." Unfortunately, she hadn't seen her picture in any of the magazines, but she was there and that was what was important. "And even better than him being a quidditch player, he's one of the coolest humans on the whole entire planet." And he was hers. Well, part hers. She shared with her family, and now Kitty, too.
"'Course! I'm going to Quidditch camp this summer for a whole week. I want to be a beater someday, too." And he still hadn't answered her question about playing, did he know?

He didn't mean to sound mean to Candice but that is probably the answer Juliette would expect him to say if she was here. "What are you trying to say here..? You finally having feelings for me after all this time?" he eyed her suspiciously and then laughed it off.
He chuckled some more at her threats. "I mean that would be one interesting game. You need to save it for the shrunken heads." No pun intended. Well sort of. I mean if she was using his head for beater practice he would be considered a shrunken head. Dueling is not her thing? Well noted for the future. What does she get when she wins? He thought about it and thought of an idea. "Well you can get something from here.." he gestured toward the store. "I did tell you about being an Auror but then I thought it wasn't logical...I mean I don't know. My mind keeps changing. Now I am thinking about sports.." He was very wishy washy.
"Yeah you wish..like I will pay you galleons. I can pay my debt in food though. I can get you ice cream.." he offered. When he put her into a hug and ruffled her hair, he felt a bite and he let go. "Aaghh you fiesty wildcat.." he observed his arm and found a bite mark. "Man what were you an animal in your past life.." he examined the deep puncture marks.

Cameron wasn't usually the suspicious type and he, too, KNEW famous Quidditch players but being related to one, that was a whole other story. She didn't LOOK like Hassan Botros. But then again, she was waaaay younger than he was. Also a girl. And only his cousin. Not his sister or anything. So maybe he wasn't supposed to see any resemblance.

The wedding though, of course he'd heard about the wedding. Eventually Cameron took a small step back again (he did have manners after all and being in someone's personal space for too long was definitely frowned upon) and nodded. He didn't remember seeing her in any of the pictures though. Not that he'd seen ALL of them okay, maybe he might have totally yes. "What did you do in his wedding?" Had she been one of the...bridesmaids? Was that a thing? He didn't know a whole lot about how weddings worked.
One of the coolest humans on the entire planet? "Cool." Well, he wouldn't know about that but he was still torn between being REALLY impressed by all this and not appearing too impressed. "I know Oliver Greenwood." There. He said it casually too not in a way that would make him sound like he was bragging. They were just sharing stories, yeah? Yes. That. Totally casual.
QUIDDITCH CAMP??? Cameron frowned a little at that. Why was he not allowed to go to Quidditch camp? Rude. "That sounds so cool!" Could she take him along in her bag or something? "I want to." Pause. "I mean, I have been on a broom and everything but I...don't have my own yet." Even though he could TOTALLY handle it and everything. Please. He was eleven. He was basically an adult.

Finally, brown eyes rose to his present company and a smile slowly formed. "Yeah....yeah, I could get behind that. My parents might even end up thinking I'm looking forward to going back to that place." The more he thought about it, was the better the idea became. "You can test it out the day after we get there--or that night in the Common Room if you land in Gryffindor. Our rules are pretty chill up in the Tower. Anything goes."
Not talking to his parents for a solid block of time sounded like a perfectly reasonable reaction. Sometimes, it was the only way to make them understand how truly upset they'd left you. "The people here aren't bad. I think you'll like 'em. We've got some pretty decent blokes--just stay away from the girls. They're bat and nutter crazy. They'll eat you alive, chew you out, create mobs against you, you name it." The Gryffindor wanted nothing more than to crack a grin and assure Brent he was only joking but...it was the truth.....the girls at Hogwarts were INSANE.
And wasn't that just the question of the century. In truth, it seemed like so long ago that sometimes Blaise thought he'd only dreamt up the whole thing but then he'd go back to school and the sport would be gone and he'd realize it had to be true. "Uh...it was really weird? Happened before I started school, my Dad told me about it once. This stranger sent a threat to Hogwarts warning against playing it and insisting bad things would happen if they did. It was all over the Prophet but no one knows who said it so it's just....banned." Which sucked but there was very little to be done about it.

Esme turned her attention to the girl who was with Henry. She had seen her in classes and other places around the castle, but they hadn't properly talked as far as she could recall. "Hello, I am Esme." In case they had thought that she was her sister. There did tend to be a lot of confusion when most people first saw them, though those really close to them never had a problem with it; Oliver was always able to tell them apart. Apparently the other girl's name was Noelle, which Henry confirmed a moment later.
"I'm just looking too. I don't play a lot of Quidditch, but I like it and enjoy flying. I had considered trying for U17, but decided against it." There just wasn't enough time for it and she wanted to do work with Unicorn therapy like Oliver had suggested last term.

Oh, did the two girls not know each other? Henry hadn't realized that or else he'd have introduced them, but it seemed like that part worked itself out and all was good. And he was glad to have gotten the correct twin's name right, or else it could have been mildly embarrassing.
"Oh?" Henry gave Esme a curious look. Did she know he was a chaser for England's U17? "Yeah, that's the team I play for, but it's hard to get a spot on there. We represent the whole country, you know," he added with a knowing smile. It probably wouldn't be the first choice for someone who was proficient in flying but not so much Quidditch. He had been training a long time before he earned his spot on that team, as did everyone else. "Maybe you should try Quidditch camp or play for a recreational league." There were plenty of those around, and he actually did some of that for a while before playing for the national team. They were a lot of fun.
He turned to the broom Noelle pointed out as she talked about it. Henry could understand her enthusiasm because it was a great broom. "Yeah, I've heard the same. I got a top of the line model a couple years ago, so I don't know if my dad would be alright with me getting another right now, but it doesn't hurt to look, right?" He turned to her with a grin before looking at it again. "I was actually thinking of asking the shopkeeper of letting me try it out in their test room." It was super cool that they did that here, even if he probably wasn't going to buy it any time soon.

Noelle seemed really nice, but then that was not a big surprise to Esme because in her experience most of the people at Hogwarts were friendly. That went for both students AND staff. The only exception had been the Hag, but it was best not to think about her because it made her angry to. "Nice to meet you too! Do you play Quidditch?" Hopefully that wasn't a dumb question, but she liked to think that people came here even when they didn't play the sport much! She herself did.
Her eyes went to the model that Noelle was pointing out, and Esme had to admit that it looked really impressive. "I would love to have a broom like that, but the one I have is still good enough." Oh well. Maybe one day. Honestly it didn't bother her all that much because it was enough to look at the pretty brooms.
So Henry played for the U17 team?? She couldn't remember if he had told her or not since her brain was still a little scrambled from OWLS, but that was really impressive at any rate. "So what's it like playing for them? I might try Quidditch camp next summer! I'll see if Juno wants to do it with me." Why not. It would probably be a lot of fun. What also seemed like a lot of fun was trying out the broomstick! "Ooooh, yes! I want a go too." That would be amazing!

For a moment, Sam envied how cool and casual - and handsome - the quidditch player looked, posing on that poster. He made being cool seem effortless.
Sam took one of the attractive Hassan posters and handed it over to Genny. "I like the Tutshill Tornadoes. Alec Summers and Wade Potter are my favorite players," he added. Sam was well aware of Genny's favorites, so there was no need to ask her the same question.

The wedding though, of course he'd heard about the wedding. Eventually Cameron took a small step back again (he did have manners after all and being in someone's personal space for too long was definitely frowned upon) and nodded. QUIDDITCH CAMP??? Cameron frowned a little at that. Why was he not allowed to go to Quidditch camp? Rude. "That sounds so cool!" Could she take him along in her bag or something? "I want to." Pause. "I mean, I have been on a broom and everything but I...don't have my own yet." Even though he could TOTALLY handle it and everything. Please. He was eleven. He was basically an adult.
"I was the flower girl," Junia offered with a smile. It was a super important role and she'd done an excellent job, no surprise there. "Kitty, 'San's wife, picked a really pretty dress and I got to walk down the aisle and it was all very theatrical." Seriously, weddings were quite the productions. "You ever been to one?" A wedding, she meant.
"You mean the coach of the Harpies-Oliver Greenwood?" The brunette side-eyed the boy, as if trying to see if he was telling the truth. "That's my second favorite team, you know. The Harpies are brilliant!" Really, truly.
"Maybe your parents are afraid you'll fall off and break all your bones or something." Junia's mum had been reluctant when she'd wanted a beater's bat. Made sense and all, considering the destruction she'd caused when she finally got one, but it had been highly disappointing at the time. "Parents worry about just about everything. It's in the job description, pretty sure. You just have to give a good, persuasive argument about why you deserve your own broom." She nodded solemnly. Did he see how wise and beyond her years she was? "You can practice on me, if you want."

Even though Condoleeza had one of the top of the line brooms, that didn't stop her from wanting to check out the displays. In fact it made her MORE curious to, just because she wanted to stay on top of things and ALWAYS have the best quality that was to offer. Something that wasn't always practical since it seemed that new models seemed to come out every other day. Maybe that was just her imagination...
Eagerly she made a beeline to where they were being kept. If she found something that she liked, maybe she would give it a test drive. What did it hurt? All she wanted was an amazing broom for when she did her Quidditch try outs.

Like previous years, Dorian and his father Daichi spend some time in Diagon Alley every once in a while for his dad to pick up some supplies. Usually he had to tag along with him but this year Dorian had been surprised to hear that he could roam the streets of Diagon Alley himself as long as he stayed here and not went of wandering the muggle world while his dad went to do his own thing.
It was like a whole new world had opened up for him and the ten year old wasted no time and walked to the first shop he saw. It was the quidditch shop. He knew it was a game that witches and wizards played and he also knew that his father had been a chaser for his own House which was so cool! Better than hearing that your dad was a school leader, that sounded pretty boring.
He walked towards one of the shelves where the broomsticks were hanging and he reached out his hand to try and touch one of them. Could he try and fly them? Could he?!

Today was one of those were he was just enjoying a bit of time away from the baby siblings, he loved them dearly but they were being so fussy and crying a lot this morning. So when Hady came by he asked to go spend the day with here.

"Slytherin prefect and that took a lot of his time he said but" he motioned the boy closer as if he was going to tell a secret. "I overheard my dad and granddad talking one day and my dad admitted that he had quit flying because he couldn't stand the new Captain...Captain...what's his name? Montecy? (Montmorency) i don't know" he shrugged his shoulders. "But if you use your cousin's broom they must be good too right?"
And here he thought he had found someone who could tell him all about Hogwarts. Dorian looked a bit down for a moment but then something else caught his attention. "There's ANOTHER school?!" wow. "But why did you leave?" he asked.

"No, i've oy heard a bit about Hogwarts but i do know about the Houses and i want to get in to Ravenclaw" he smiled a little at the thought. "What Houses were your parents in?" he asked curiously.
Moving a few steps further to check out another broom near them, Dorian kept listening as the other kid told him someone called Hady had been a Head Girl while at school "is she your sister?" he asked.
The fact that there were MORE wizarding schools than just Hogwarts was mindblowing to him and he could not believe his dad never gave this piece of information to him but then again, as he thought of how he was feeling right now, it was rather a joy to find things out by himself. He was already learning and he wasn't even at school yet. Just one more year of waiting! "Is it true that there's a big lake around the castle and there's a giant monster living in it who eats the students?"
Ok so perhaps the giant quid wasn't that dangerous but GIANT SQUID!
