I prefer the books, to be honest. They give a whole lot more background information on what's going on in the story line. There are a lot of places in the movies where it helps to know the back story in order to understand what's going on at that point in time in the movie.

I honestly prefer the books. The movies were beautiful, but there always is that thing with being able to picture in your head and see the characters exactly how you want them to be. I also enjoy the feel of the pages and getting lost into them, something that's easier to do with a book than a movie, the pages come alive and you fall in love.

Though I adore the movies, I will always prefer the books. The movies were great because they provide you with more defined visuals than I was able to imagine, but the detail from reading the books is incomparable.

Books! They came first and answer all the questions the movies fail to do! Having said that, as they release more and more movies that'll start to change a bit!

I must admit I love the books more. You get so much more of the story and back stories when reading. You can't possibly put it all into the movies. But the movies are a quick get away into the HP universe.

I must admit I love the books more. they make you fell more like a part of hp world and they give you more info and you can see how it looks in your haed. The movies are epic and wary well done and follow the books story like from wan he was a boy to a hero.

I love the books the most because the movies left out so many details that I believe are important

I love them both in seperate ways. I love the movies because I didn't even know how to read when I first met Harry Potter. I also love the books because they are much more detailed and they tell all we have to know about Harry Potter.

I'm currently in college so all I seem to have time for is the movies, but I absolutely adore the books.

I prefer the books. They are the closest link we have to the reality that is the HP Universe as conceived by its author J K Rowling. There is a wealth more details in the books than the movies. Because of time and monetary constraints the movies have to cut some of the novels sub plots. I prefer the longer original version.

On one hand, the books are the original and they're a treasure trove of detail and depth.

But on the other hand, the movies have Daniel Radcliffe...

Books books books. A thousand times over the books. Harry's sass, better descriptions, better explanations, and better story overall.

I'd prefer the books.
Beacause while reading the books you can imagine each and everything, where's in movies everything can not be depicted.

I prefer the books, even though I like the movies. Except for Half Blood Prince because that movie was nothing like the book.

Default Books or movies?

I really prefer the books, they have so much more information the movies left out, but the movies are good on their own. I have been known to watch the movie with the book open on my lap, stopping the movie every now and then when there is more story in the books, then hitting play to keep watching!

The books! There's so much more in them. Of course, I totally enjoy the movies as well but the books, definitely.

I like the books better than the movies, don't get me wrong, I love the movies but the book has more in it to where the movies don't!

I prefer the Films, Because I'm more of a movie person. Don't get me wrong, the books have their charm, but the movies help bring the characters to life

For me it is the books. The movies leave out to many details and change things around to much. When I watch the movies I usually am like thats not how that happened in the book.

I like the books more than the movies up to a point- because there are certain things that can be explained in and done in a book but not done in a movie. And JK agreed to have things done certain ways that weren't the same as were in the books, as she's the author- they went by her sayso. If everything in the books was in the movies we would have complained that it was way too long of a movie, as it was we all complained that the movies were too short - all of the movies were over 2 hrs long.

I think the movies are great but I really enjoy the books. J.K. Rowling has an amazing way with words and only she can tell the story the way that it should be told. In the movies, there are many interesting facts and scenes that were not included which is why I think the books are better.
