They're all perfect for the role, although I was skeptical about Rupert for a while. But they're all great actors. And they look the part. I don't think we could ask for a better golden trio

I think, for the most part, they did just fine.

I don't think we can honestly say if they would have been better than another selected trio.. What I can say is that they did a hell of a job on all 8 films.

Yes! They did a very good job.

What's crazy to think about is that the casting director took a huge chance. He/She had to not only pick a good cast for the first movie, but try and guess if they will grow up to be just as good.

Default The best .... Three .... Eveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrr!

How could you not think they're amazing, I agree with the hair aswell, it is rubbish in GOF. Rupert is le beste. Then Emma is Seconde. And Daniel is like 'LETTERS!!!!' 'EXPELLIARMUS' 'LUMOS MAXIMA! (WHOOPS I'M CASTING MAGIC RIGHT AT THE START OF A MOVIE AND I'M NOT GONNA GET EXPELLED 😌🙇'

I think they are perfect and they reflect their onscreen characters a lot too. However I am annoyed at their styling in the movie. Hermione is supposed to have super frizzy hair and Harry is supposed to have green eyes!

Overall, A grade--
Except Ginny, she is so bland brings zero interest to the films... a cardboard cutout would have sufficed.
But LUNA/ Evanna Lynch stole EVERY scene...was completely awestruck every time.
SNAPE/ Alan Rickman mesmerized with his voice, enriching all the moments.
And,
BELLATRIX/ Helena Bonham Carter was so devilishly delicious.

The only casting I really complain about nowadays (now that I'm older and more chill in general) is Gary Oldman. I think he's a fantastic actor and a bit of a legend, but he's.... too old and not...erm, hot enough to be Sirius Black.

#SORRYNOTSORRY Gary was a great Gordon though, in the Batman films...

THANK. YOU. MY. FRIEND!

When they do a reboot (let's be honest, it'll be in our lifetimes, just wait), they can do better.

Also when I look back at the casting list, like, wow, there are some ABSOLUTE legends in the HP films. ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE except maybe Simon Pegg and idk what's his name Eddie Redmayne??? Have u heard of him? Also Bendystraw Cucumberbatch is not in them, which is increds/hard to believe, but I guess he was busy solving crimes as a sociopath or whatever.

TO STAY ON TOPIC THOUGH, I also, um, as a child, was always so so so sad that Richard Harris died, because he was MY Dumbledore.

Again, Michael Gambon, very funny [in other movies], v. dramatic [in everything], but....he also did this, soooooooooo, I mean it's kind of the same thing as an Unforgiveable Curse........

I think the 3 main actors did a great job and definitely grew into their roles as the movies went on. Evanna Lynch as Luna Lovegood was probably the best of the all and also an amazing job by Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort. I cannot forget to mention the late great Alan Rickman who brought Severus Snape to life. He was amazing as well.

Honestly I think the characters were too much Hollywood-like. I may be wrong, but what I've noticed in movies is that main characters seem to be the most attractive. I'm probably going to get some hate for this, but I don't think they portrayed Hermione correctly. Emma Watson is gorgeous, but she lacked that nerdy Hermione appearance that was described in the book. In my view the closest to Hermione in the books was Anne Hathaway in Princess Diaries (before the makeover). Harry Potter was also portrayed as too attractive.

Rowling was usually clear about characters that are supposed to be pretty/handsome. But I felt that was downplayed so that the main characters can shine. Veelas are supposed to have silvery hair, and yet that was non-existent in the movies, just for example. Also, eye colors that aren't matching to characters in the movies (even though that was very much emphasized in the books). Like Lily having brown eyes, Harry having blue eyes, Voldemort having blue eyes (which is incorrect for both his younger self and adult self)... Lavender Brown is supposed to be dark-skinned and so on...

That's appearance-wise... furthermore, they did Ron wrong. Gave a lot of his lines to Hermione. He was portrayed to be quite dull in the movies, and he wasn't that way in the books. Hermione is supposed to be more in-your-face know it all (actually was correctly portrayed in first two movies). Harry lost much of his character. Don't even get me started on Ginny.

Movies are just very much below the books, so I always recommed people who disliked the movies to read the books.

I believe that all of them were picked right for the movies. Back in my younger years when I was a teen ager in high school I used to be obsessed about Emma Watson because she was considered really smart and always had good grades in the end. I guess you could tell one pick from the other now that I grew to be 31 haha.
