Default Scribbulus Writing Implements

In the end north side of the street of Diagon Alley, sandwiched between Quality Quidditch Supplies and an intersecting alley that leads to Knockturn Alley, sits a small building made of light grey stones. A peal of small bells made of gold tinkle together in a rather quiet unison as the glass door of the shop opens and reveals the stationary supplies store, which is brightly lit thanks to the front glass window that allows sunlight to filter inside the shop. The smell of the store is a surprisingly pleasant combination of wood, old parchment, ink and, shockingly enough, scented candles.

Every single inch of the store seems to be crammed with shelves full of the artifacts sold at the shop, and though it might look and sound messy, the place is surprisingly organized, and whatever item that costumers might be looking for, can undoubtedly be found easily; rolls of parchment, stationery sets, quills made of the most unthinkable and exotic feathers, and every imaginable sort of decorative paper -– you think of it, and this store has it. Inks are the place's specialty, and as such, here you'll find ink of every colour and style that you could possibly imagine.

Behind the tall and smooth wooden counter, the shopkeeper can normally be found. With a frown on his forehead, the shopkeeper is usually busy sorting through piles of parchment, which would be stock orders, bills, magazines, or just plain letters that have been addressed to him. This is the place where you come if you are in need of help, or to pay for the items you wish to acquire at Scribbulus Writing Implements.

I'd want to take after my dad and focus a lot on my studies." She didn't have a problem with the other houses and ultimately wouldn't mind being sorted into them... except Slytherin. Her father refused to tell her anything about that house. Ollie just assumed that her father had problems with the people in it. From her lack of information about them, she just assumed she wouldn't get sorted into it. She genuinely couldn't see herself in the other houses the more she thought about it. She wasn't as fearless as a Gryffindor and she wasn't as kind and gentle as a Hufflepuff.
Ollie's dad sounded boring. Focus on studies, blah blah blah, house pride, blah blah blah, no tattoos. How about focusing on enjoying the inevitably short life you had? Not that Ash was enjoying life, but she wasn't spending it being boring. "I like all of the houses. Ravenclaws are so interesting and smart, Gryffindors like to fight for their beliefs like me, Hufflepuffs are super kind and loyal, and Slytherins are... actually a lot like sassy Hufflepuffs somehow. Well..." She frowned and tilted her head. "...those are just the good traits of each house." Ravenclaws and their messed-up priorities. Gryffindors and their doing dumb stuff + Emmerson. Hufflepuffs and their blind loyalty/ overenthusiasm for everything. Slytherins and their... evil relatives + Nemesis Upstead? "I love the people at Hogwarts though. Well, the good ones." Like Mamie, and Devin and Sammy, and Eden and Quinn, and Heath and Claudine and Lisa. Well, Lisa wasn't at Hogwarts yet. But she also liked graduates like Minjae and Cole. And she especially liked Claudine, who let her SEE TATTOOS. WOAHHH. And she also liked all of her muggle friends. Basically, she liked everyone. Except for some people who were evil. You know what? It was complicated.

"I think it's really awesome that you paint. I can't draw to save my life at all." She smiled at the statement because it really was funny to her.

"It really is. Sometimes its overly isolating. But I've seen places people only dream about." If she was being fair though. She loved the longer trips where they got to stick around longer than six months and she could make friends with the other kids and do fun things. It was the adventures with those kids that she'd never tell her mother about because half the time there was at least one near death event each time.

She nodded her head at the reflex comment. She understood that it felt like she was always being reflexive with her actions too. "No worries." She didn't mind walking around the Alley she had nothing but time since she didn't have as much on her list lately. "I'm free as a bird today so I'm down to go with you to your next stop if you don't mind." Her smile was bigger but she hoped that it wasn't creepy in anyway.

Smiling, Aurelie just shrugged because she knew she was pretty privileged. Or was she? Her parents threw her into everything imaginable just to keep her busy and out of their way so it was only a matter of time before she picked one of them up. She wasn’t good at everything but did tend to be slightly more eclectic than most. “Thanks. I hear people say that a lot but it’s just like playing a musical instrument or flying, if you don’t practice, you’re never going to be able to” and the truth was, most people didn’t really care enough to try. For her though, it was more than a hobby.

Aurelie understood that feeling a little or at least, the isolating part. The feeling of being alone wasn’t pleasant and when Walker (their butler for want of a better word) wasn’t home, she truly was alone. “I guess that happens when you visit places that are in the middle of nowhere”. To her though, they sounded pretty fun. Going somewhere with your family rather than just accompanying them sounded down right amazing.

Flashing her wide, bright smile, she replied “Great! I’ll go and pay for these and then we can head out. I need to uhh…well, I’ve got a list on me. We can look outside”. Hands full, she scampered up to the counter and dumped her items on the counter and plopped out her purse full of galleons, ready to pay and head out into the warm, summer weather with Charlie. She wasn’t exactly sure if Madam Malkin’s was top of her list or if she should go and pick up a few extra books but the company of a new friend would for sure make it at least less boring. Not to mention the extra pair of hands that she could work to the bone borrow to help her carry her many items. Why she’d agreed to go shopping without Walker she wasn’t sure.

She made good points about the other houses. Maybe Ollie shouldn't be as worried about sorting, not that she was going crazy over it but it was sitting in the back of her mind. "Thank you so much for the help with my supplies. I hope I do get sorted in to Ravenclaw! Maybe we'll see each other in the common room and stuff." And she meant that. She really liked Ash, she was a breath of fresh air that Ollie needed. "I should go now, I still have other places to pick up supplies from." Ollie smiled and offered the girl her hand, her father's voice always reminding her to be proper.

He'd probably have to spend the rest of the evening looking up the best ways to remove the stains from her clothes. Because ink stained didn't it? And oh sweet goodness, what kind of ink did he have???? He could only imagine if he just threw ink on her that would stain her face.

He was going to ask her if she was alright but then she was talking, and for a minute he paused at her words because... that would be kind of a good joke to play on Noah since they'd already made the mess. And then he remembered last term and realized that was the worst possible prank they could ever try to pull so he just... forgot that entire thought. "I mean... it is blue... blue's at least a pretty color?" You know, in case he accidently just turned his little sister into a smurf.

He opened his mouth to say more but then she was cackling???? And his instincts for that noise from his sister made him try to take a step back but... there was no place to go. Before he knew it she rubbed ink ALL over his clothes and he could only STARE.

And stare a little bit more.

"At least I won't be the only one in trouble for ruining clothes now?" He was taking her down with him. Even if it was also still his fault his clothes were ruined. Evan pulled a pullover from his bag, before taking off the now ruined over shirt and handing it to her to use for clean up and slipping the sweater over his head. "What are you even doing here?" Other than giving him a heart attack.
When Evan said that the ink was blue and it was pretty, Lisa nodded but found herself flailing her arms. “I AM A LITERAL WALKING SMURF, EVAN!!” she cried out dramatically with arm failing. “A waking talking smurf and I’m tiny enough to be considered one.” Her brothers were MUCH taller than she and she was only 5’2. Heck, Evan was at least a foot taller than her - if not more.

She giggled as she continued to rub her face into his clothes. Yes, keep rubbing all of the ink off on him. There probably was a spell to fix the ink but she would try to make it stick a little. She was having so much fun that she could side tracked and started focusing on being a cat. “I’m being a cat. Imagine if I could turn into one,” she said before giving him a maniacal look before adding a quiet “meow.

His question stopped her play acting and she looked up at him with a slight head tilt. “I saw you walk in here so I followed. I’m your shadow remember?” She was here for intel to find out what Evan liked to shop for.... it had to be something right? She was still trying to figure out how to get more than just a deadpan facial expression out of him....
