Default Quality Quidditch Supplies

On the quiet North End of the Street lies a vibrant storefront polished to its finest where you enter a world of brooms, bludgers, snitches and much more. Displayed at the window of Quality Quidditch Supplies is the latest released broom. As you enter the shop, the shelves and displays are the first thing you notice, neatly stacked with other brooms, team posters and robes galore.

Between the side walls there are shelves filled with various Quidditch supplies and goods. Following the displays of brooms and the like, towards the back you see another section of displays, not of brooms, but the side walls of the shop are neatly stacked with broom accessories, sports equipments and matching merchandise for support. Feel free to stroll along and find what you need to aid you in your game play. Lastly, the back wall displays books and other reading materials, all to do with Quidditch and Broomology of course.

Towards the back you see another section of displays with little knick-knacks and toys perfect for all ages. Only our most privileged customers are permitted to enter the back room of the shop. Here we hold unique items and remaining stock of items that cannot fit on the displays or are in need of refurbishing. At the very back is a door to a room where the shopkeeper does his admin work. Once you've found and decided on the goods you wish to purchase, you may bring them along your way towards the counter found towards the back of the shop. The shopkeeper may seem busy, but that won't stop him from assisting anyone.

He was truly terrible on a broom. Which meant the safest and potentially most efficient way for him to learn to fly... was probably from books. He could tell by the Oh, she was not convinced. But maybe he could just use that as better motivation to improve his skill so he could show her it was possible. Or he'd admit in a few weeks time she was right and he was doomed to never be able to successfully do it. "Oh right! You're on the team this summer aren't you? Have you had any of your first games yet?" Saying she'd fly into the goal post seemed offensive, but he decided to not comment on that.

Mr. Aguilar? That was a good suggestion, but he had yet to notice Mr. Aguilar was the Shopkeeper at this particular store. So her words had him more confused on how in the world was he supposed to know how to get ahold of
Mr. Aguilar. Wouldn't it have been just easier to ask Kazmi? "Professor Kazmi probably has some at school too." Maybe he'd have to swing in and visit their Flying Instructor.

Oh. OH. He coughed slightly, stopping himself from plunging into the song.

"Miss Blaze! It's great to see you again," he smiled and waved at his former student. Setting down the gloves in his arms, he turned to face her properly. Claudine Blaze. A resilient and hardworking student if he ever saw one, and a talented artist of course. He could not remember if she liked Quidditch - after all, virtually everyone was unhappy in flying lessons - but he was nevertheless very happy to see her in his store! Speaking of which, "Oh, you must be wondering why I was, uh - I work here. I'm the new owner of Quality Quidditch Supplies." Yep, he had not become a deranged man who messes up other people's shops in the course of a year, if that was any reassurance to the Slytherin, whom he just realised looked unhappy for some reason.

Claudine found the entire scene unfolding before her rather entertaining. She’d have smiled if not for the fact that she was still sort of mad. She watched in silence as Aguilar finally saw her and came to an abrupt halt with his singing. Obviously he was embarrassed but she did nothing to ease that.

The girl was half surprised that the man remembered her name. She’d have thought by his singing and the strong vibe of happiness that radiated off of him that he might have been glad to put Hogwarts and all he met there out of his memory. She sighed to herself. Claudine really wasn’t good when it came to dealing with professors whom she had looked up to leaving Hogwarts. Leaving before she graduated, that is.

“Hi, Profes…” Er. What did she call him now? Claudine nodded shortly, her arms still folded across her chest. “The question did occur to me.” She paused, debating to ask a question of her own. The debate was a short one. “So… do you like being a shopkeeper more than a professor at Hogwarts?”

Aha. As soon as the question was posed, he realised what was going on. Of course, he had to look at the whole situation from her perspective. Just a little more than a year ago, Claudine survived a war, had an abysmal and confusing end of term, then returned home for the summer, fully expecting to see all the staff members again in a few months' time. But Aguilar was not there on September 1st. He had left, without even saying a proper goodbye. Although it was too late to apologise, he could show his former students that he had not left because he hated Hogwarts, or them.

"Hmmm, I wouldn't say that. Being a shopkeeper is great, but professorship was pretty awesome too - I'd even say it was the best job I've ever had." He too folded his arms across his chest, though in his case it was only a gesture out of habit, not hostility. "Besides shopkeeping, I'm also pursuing a PhD degree in secondary wizarding education. That's actually the main reason why I stepped down from my position at Hogwarts. After teaching you guys for a year, I wanted to study and research education in more depth. The opportunity to acquire this store came along after that."

So much so he was considering dropping the class, and yet... his stubbornness would not allow it.

So here he was. Somewhere he really hadn't spent much time in before, but he was determined to find a very beginner flying book. If he was unsuccessful here, he could look at the bookstore but he always got so distracted there this seemed the best place to look first.

Heading into the store, he meandered around a little bit looking at the brooms which he... could not tell differences between, before heading towards the bookshelves to comb through the titles.

Mamie was not happy. But she'd get her padding and wear it whenever her parents were going to come to a match. And maybe for practice so she could still be nimble and stop all the Quaffles. MAYBE.

She huffed and puffed into Quality Quidditch Supplies and shuffled past the bookshelves before doubling back. Was she so annoyed she was imagining things? But he was still there, so... maybe not. "Evan Nam!!" she chirped happily, her Quidditch padding woes forgotten. "Why are you here?!" Didn't Evan hate flying?

Did someone say his name?

Aguilar was on his way back to the counter after explaining the broomstick servicing kit to a young customer when he saw Mamie/Margaret and Evan by the bookshelves. "Hello, hello! Can I help you with anything?" he said cheerfully.

Logically he should have guessed beginning of summer would be reserved for practices and for the U17 teams to get used to playing with each other, if they hadn't been practicing on the pitch already in an informal setting. He was surprised at the invitation to come to the matches, but he was excited for Margaret and it was her first term so he did want to show support. "Okay. Just let me know when they are?" He would imagine Lisa would want to go as well, and maybe Maya and Noah.

The sudden call of Mr. Aguilar, accompanied by the familiar voice, caused Evan to whirl around to see the former flying Professor standing before him. Blinking at the timely arrival, (had Mamie already seen him at the store???) he was too stunned to remember to force the polite smile he tried to use with adults and Professors. "Professor Aguilar! What are you doing here?"

Wait. Did Margaret say do you carry anything?

Aguilar was quite considerate in viewing all the happenings from her point of view. It was unfortunately not the same on Claudine’s end. At least the man seemed to have figured out why she wasn’t being that warm towards him. She could see the wheels turning in his head. Well, not literally of course, but you get the point.

The Snakette did listen to every word and with each, she felt her resentment melting away. The old Claudine would not have been so quick to understand but over the recent years, she had grown to be less judgmental and more understanding. Thank you, Schmoe! Her expression dropped. “I understand,’’ Claudine said less coldly. Really, she did. “I just miss your lessons.’’ And him. Claudine missed Aguilar. He’d been one of the best professors she’d ever had. Plus she supposed she was being selfish for wishing he had stayed at Hogwarts. Suddenly, she smiled and lowered her arms. “How’s business, professor?’’ Oops. Old habits die hard.

"Thank you, Miss Blaze. I miss all of you too." Camilo was glad that she understood. He would hate to hurt anyone by giving them the false impression that he left them due to a dislike of them. Besides, he thought he had a particularly good student-teacher relationship with Claudine. One of his happy memories from Hogwarts was partaking in art activities and chatting with her. (The family portrait he drew that day was safely stored in a drawer after his sister threatened to tear it apart for his unbeautiful depiction of her.)

"It's going pretty well, thanks for asking. We sold a lot of Kenmare Kestrels fan memorabilia after they won the season, and we should be having even more customers now that the school term has ended." He was quite excited for his first summer as a shopkeeper, hence the singing and everything. But enough about him. "And how are you doing? You'll be a ... seventh year this term?!"

Blinking at the timely arrival, (had Mamie already seen him at the store???) he was too stunned to remember to force the polite smile he tried to use with adults and Professors. "Professor Aguilar! What are you doing here?"

Wait. Did Margaret say do you carry anything?

He too was thinking of going to the youth league matches when they started. He was delighted when he heard that Mamie was playing for England U17. She had grown from an unconfident flyer to an exceptional keeper in less than two years, and while he was proud of her, part of him wished he had been there to support her journey. As for Evan, it seemed that he was gaining an interest in flying, which was great! Aguilar took note of Mamie's request and considered Evan's question.

"Just shopping for a new racing broom, Mr Nam. I'm considering upgrading to the Moontrimmer Dlite," he grinned. That wasn't very believable, was it? "No, I'm actually the shopkeeper here! So, books about flying, huh? I recommend this one, 30 Ways to Fly. It covers techniques of various difficulty levels, as well as tips on overcoming fear of flying."

She gathered, surprisingly quickly (for her), that Evan didn't know about Aguilar's new job. She smiled at their former teacher, hoping he didn't notice her rolling her eyes at his little joke. It reminded her of something her father would say. "Mr. Aguilar, that sounds perfect for Evan," she said, somewhat bossily. "Where do you keep the pads, also? That's what I'm here for."

Claudine would have hoped that Aguilar missed them. She also knew that he’d had a horrible experience at Hogwarts as a professor. That made her sad for him but at least now he wouldn’t have to be worrying every single day about a group such as the Neo Alliance, his students and himself in danger and all that other jazz. Claudine smiled, a truly happy one. “If you don’t mind, then I’ll drop by whenever I can to visit you. I’d like to hear about all your new adventures.” And yes. She was genuinely interested, after all, Aguilar was still someone she liked a lot.

“That’s great! I know summer will be busier than any other time. But Professor? Don’t you need someone to help during this time? I mean, we don’t want you to get mobbed by angry, impatient customers.’’ Claudine was concerned, okay? “I’m doing a lot better, thanks. It’s been very… peaceful since all that happening at Hogwarts.” Aguilar would know what she spoke of, of course. “Yes. By this time next year, I’d have graduated.” Funny how quickly time flies.

It was entirely believable to Evan, who knew pretty much next to nothing about this particular part of the wizarding world. What was more shocking to him was that Aguilar ran the shop now. Not for any reason other than the fact he'd just assumed he'd gone on to teach elsewhere, since he'd been so revered by majority of the students. Evan had liked him too, but was also difficult to really attach to a Professor when you positively tanked in their subject. At least for the Ravenclaw. "Oh, congratulations!" That was the right thing to say in a situation like this right??

Oh asking Aguilar had been much easier then, because that book did in fact sound like a perfect book. Evan picked it up, reading the back cover real fast and then flipping to the middle just to make sure the writing style was not something that would make him cringe. Once he was satisfied, he closed the book again and smiled at the former Professor. "Thank you, sir! This'll work well!" He didn't feel the need to point out he wasn't scared of flying, just terrible at it but hopefully the different beginner styles would help.

Oh a full schedule would be the easiest way for him to schedule out when he could be able to attend. So he was very grateful she was able to do that. "Perfect. I'll go over it with Noah and see when he can take us!" He probably could have gotten one of his Dad's team to drive him, but considering none of them were essential to the family unit of the Nam's, they didn't know about magic so that could be awkward.

The bossy tone was noted, though he only side eyed her, amused, considering she was right. Bossy also didn't bother him, he did live with Lisa after all. When Mamie asked Aguilar about her needs, he browsed more titles patiently. It was polite to wait for her now, right?

Camilo smiled back at her and nodded. "I don't mind at all. I'd like to hear all about how your year went too," he said. His new adventures - he had not thought about his transition to a shopkeeper in that way, though now that he considered it, it really was a daring experience. So was every single day at Hogwarts, which was why he was curious to hear from Claudine.

"Don't worry, there are part time workers who help around the shop. In any case, customers have been nice and polite so far," he chuckled, partly amused and mostly touched by her visible concern. "That's amazing! What will you be doing this time next year?" Exciting times, huh?

He knew it was a bad joke even before he noticed Mamie rolling her eyes, but it seemed that Evan actually believed him for a moment there! Heh. "Thanks!" for the congratulations, "and you're welcome," for the book recommendation.

"Pads are over here," he led the Hufflepuff to a side wall stacked with sports equipments. Buying padding was always a good idea, and Aguilar suspected that it was her parents' idea. "Arms, knees, shins - the full set would be 3 galleons and 3 sickles."

Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE!

Bundled up to protect herself from the cold, Peggy managed to have leftover time after running some Diagon Alley errands on a Saturday. So, she of course found her way to Quality Quidditch Supplies. She didn't need anything there, but she wanted to browse. See if anything would be beneficial for the Recreational Sports division to get for some of the summer camps.

Yes, she was thinking about summer because it was freezing and she wanted to think warm thoughts.

She stomped her way into the store (to get the snow off her shoes) and then looked around. Was Camilo here?
