Default Park Bench

Placed strategically along the north side of the street, there are about five park benches on either side of the street offering a place for the weary to rest their tired feet for a moment. There is one situated between Potage's Cauldron Shop and Slug and Jiggers Apothecary, one between Madam Malkin's and Flourish and Blotts - and then on the opposite side of the street, between Magical Menagerie and Eeylops Owl Emporium, and Quality Quidditch Supplies and Scribbulus Writing Implements. The fifth bench is right before Gringotts Wizarding Bank, clearly placed there to let you know you've reached where the street begins to curve.

Take a seat and take a load off if you like, these benches are the perfect spots to sit and chat with friends while you take a break from shopping, or if you've come from Florean's you might be looking for a spot that you can sit and finish off your ice cream before it melts. Try not to be a bench hog though - if you're here for too long the benches themselves might get sick of you and nudge you off so that somebody else can sit for a while too!

I have an addiction to cheddar cheese. But it's only mild. Ever tried to eat a clock? It's time-consuming.

Torrance finished some shopping at Eeylop's. Picking up some treats for his Owl. The Summer was only just starting for him still. Work was slow and he couldn't find anything to help him pass the time. If he was left to his thoughts for too long they began to wander back to that sad place in that terrible moment. He stopped at one of the benches and placed the bag down onto it's seat. Looking at it briefly then started to pace around the bench. Trying to fill him mind with some of the most mundane pointless thoughts. Pulling himself out of reality as he focused on his steps and whatever it was he was trying to block from coming back to him.

He would need a seriously good distraction right about now.

Know who was always a good idea for a distraction? Sachiko.

So she would have you think at least. Though these days she found herself feeling less temptress and more ... something not that. The majority of her time now in France, the shift in atmosphere had been present but nothing that had touched her negatively. She did have her connections with well-to-do pureblood families still and her natural charisma got her through most situations. Still, the impact was there and she had seen a thing or two on the midnight streets of Paris.

Back in the UK for a fashion show, the direct request from a designer she often worked intimately with, Sachiko was dressed down for the day (minus her favorite pair of deep crimson stilettos to keep is classy) and walking the streets of Diagon Alley. It felt more and more poor around here with every time she returned, though a part of her still felt a fondness for the area. The Leaky Cauldron, after all, had been where she had been born.

Heels clicking against the stone, she spotted a familiar face and felt her insides knot a bit. Torrance Spades. Ugh. She had NOT forgotten how he too was among the long list of people who had discarded her, the most recent of piles of dragon dung being David Truebridge who she had taken great pleasure is ripping apart in the tabloids despite knowing full well he would never see, and she had half a mind to turn and walk away. Until she saw IT. Then she had this urge to SHRIEK. "...why do you hate style so much?"

That bloody rattail he insisted on sporting was an insult on humanity. Ew.

Yes! He was getting into a groove. He found the perfect pace to walk around this park bench deep in thought. He was creating a literal groove in the path he walked. It felt good to cloud his head with thoughts that would pull him out of reality.

Like, it's crazy how soda's are made. All that crazy amount of carbon dioxide that goes into bubbling up the water until it gets all fizzy. But we humans breathe out carbon dioxide into the air. How much time would they need to breathe into water to make it a Soda? If they put a bunch of people into a pool and told them all to blow into the water many of them would it take until it got carbonated? What if Fish breathed out co2? Would they be able to carbonate all the oceans in the world.

Or, shirt tags. Why were they still a thing? Haven't they evolved beyond that. There were shirts that no longer used tags and some that did. The Tags were so bothersome against the neck. Always felt like there was something trying to cling to your neck like a spider or any other insect. Then again, he saw the benefit in tags. The shirts that went tag-less you'd be a fool in public if you were caught with your shirt inside-out and those tags were a good quick catch to make sure you reversed it right away. Torrance was no fool.

Insects!! Like Preying Mantis'... Manti? Was it Mantises Manti? What was the plural? He liked Manti bet... and then he was thrust out of his thoughts. Stopping in his tracks when he heard that same angry tone of voice yelling at him. "Sa-Sachiko?"

His style?! What was wrong with his style? Torrance was pretty sure his style was good. He especially liked this shirt. It wasn't tacky at all. No wait...ah was she still on about his rat tail?! He lightly tugged on it but then put his hands down. "I'm not getting ride of it, Sachiko." He liked it very much so.

Besides look at that tiny jacket! It was so tiny!! Jackets aren't supposed to be tiny! They're supposed to cover you.
