Wondering where you'll be getting work done when you're not out on assignment? Look no further than the clinic's in house lab/pharmacy. The space is dusty and a little crowded but with some peace, love, and elbow grease, it's sure to feel like home in no time. Your cheerful Department Head has even started the process by placing little decorative bamboo around the room. Feel free to name and talk to the plants. Harmony would approve.

So get to unpacking and get settled, people. There are creatures out there to tend to and there's no time to waste.

Today was a bad day to wear black. As soon as January stepped into the new "work area", she saw all the dust and dirt that would surely get all over her clothes. It was a bad day to wear anything but dirty-work clothes. Hands on her hips, January sighed and looked around. Oh well. Time to get started.

Picking up an old book, she flipped through the dusty pages. Before she found anything useful the cover fell off, so she opted to throw it out. She evanescoed this and that, including a weird bamboo plant she found. It didn't look dusty, but it was just weird. Hopefully no one wanted that?

This was the new work area?

Hmm...definitely different than what she'd anticipated but, regardless, maybe like Harmony said, this place could at least be somewhat decent of a new home. And who knew, maybe this place might have some sort of potential in the end for them. But to get that decency she knew that everyone from her department would have to get this place cleaned up first & according to Harmony, Laurel & the people in the Spirit Division, had to go to the Lab/Pharmacy to sort & stock old items to the side. She'd tried her best to not come in her best clothes & was going for a pretty casual look today, so hopefully it wouldn't get too bad.

Opening the door the Lab/Pharmacy she was surprised to find someone else already there. Well that was actually a relief to know she wouldn't be cleaning by herself right now. Laurel couldn't help but smile at the other woman and say cordially, "Hey, I'm um..Laurel..I uhh, take it your from the Spirit Division too?" She soon walked into the dusty looking Lab/Pharmacy as she tried to figure out where she even begin, which somehow brought her to a stack of old test tubes & beakers. Taking a moment to look at them, she'd figured that they probably wouldn't have any need for them...or would they? Instead of trashing them, she took a box & carefully placed them into the box trying not to let any of them shatter.

...Wonder how long this would take..

Taking a glance to the other woman in the room with her, Laurel asked in a somewhat curious tone, "Anything good?"

Picking up another book, January used her wand to dust it off. She flipped through the pages briefly and discovered that it may actually be useful. Not to her, really, since she just handled angry spirit and whatnot, but the creatures people may be able to use some of the remedies listed in there.

Hearing the door open, the redhead looked over her shoulder and saw a younger woman enter the room. She recognized her from around the level... at the old ministry. "Yes," she responded, placing the book on the shelf to keep. "Nice to meet you, Laurel. I'm January."

As for anything good..? "Well, I just started, so not a lot. Mostly just dust. Dust covered books. Dust covered dust." It was thrilling, really.

Dex sighed.

He didn't like new things. He didn't like being cooped up in an office as it was, and he'd only just gotten use to the other a few months before break and now they weren't allowed back? Displeasing. The new dad stood just a little ways outside of the doorway of his new office area, assessing it from the outside. All he could see was grey. Grey everywhere. Nothing shined- it was just.. it was all dirty.

Cleaning his own office was not something he'd remembered being part of his job description. Dex was unhappy to say the least. He'd rather be home with the shrieking little one, honestly. He stepped into the office area with another sigh and glanced at his coworkers, giving them a nod each and walked his way toward the back of the room. He coughed and sneezed as the dust hit his nose properly, but didn't stop.

Pulling out his wand, he scourgified the chair and desk he'd only just claimed as his own, placing his work bag down on it. Another sigh.

Laurel smiled at January giving her a nod. "It's nice to meet you too.." She nodded as January spoke about the overload of dust in this room. The blonde actually couldn't have worded that any other way. There was too much dust. It was literally everywhere. Actually, it was making her eyes itch a little bit & giving a little tickle in her nose.

'Must not sneeze..'

Before moving onto anything else, Laurel decided to pull her hair into a ponytail, not wanting it to get dirty & mainly to keep it out of her eyes. She sighed a little bit as she moved the now full box of test tubes & beakers to a spot that was out of her way. Just as she was about to move onto something else, she heard the door click open & took notice of another coworker. As he gave them a nod, Laurel lifted a hand to give a light wave followed by a gentle, "Hello.." Her blue eyes followed the clearly frustrated-looking man as he went to the back of the room. She'd briefly wondered why he decided to seclude himself like that, but seeing as to how she didn't really know the man too well, she'd best leave him to his business. Now onto the next thing, which was apparently her own stack of books.

Oh look, more dust..

Another day, another drama! Hopefully not for William, though. The tall, brown-haired man was looking forward to investigating this dragon egg case.

He walked with purpose into the office that morning and went straight over to his desk, one he'd snagged near Jan Jan. Once he got there, though, he realized the photographs of this egg were not on his desk. Oh. They must have been delivered to somewhere else in the offices. So he stood back up to go hunting for them.

It would be rude to search through others' desks, so Willy decided to go the obvious route: "Anyone seen a dragon eggg?" he shouted through the quiet office.

January was hoping not to spend too much time in the makeshift "office" today. She didn't like staying in one place for too long, so she kind of wanted to get all this paperwork stuff done so she could go out and work outside.

She hadn't gotten far in her writing when dear Willy came in. Temporarily distracted by the rustling of his papers on his desk that was right next to hers, January watched him for a moment before continuing to write more notes down on her report.

Until he said that. January looked up again with slightly raised eyebrows. "Only you could lose a dragon egg." She certainly hoped it wasn't a real one.

Rozanna found the work area without too much trouble. She was certainly starting to feel very settled in this job, which she knew she would anyway, but the atmosphere around here certainly helped. It was so cosy. She found a seat and gave the desk in front of her a little sweep with her hand to get rid of some of the dust. Wasn't too bad, though, compared to some parts of this clinic. She stretched her arms up, then pulled out her pile of paper from her bag that she had been working on from home.

Surveys. Surveys. Surveys.

She wondered if she should find her fellow beings colleague to compare ideas and stuff, because she already had a few, but she soon decided that she wanted to go solo to try and impress her boss. Looking for a promotion already? You bet she was. Now... questions for House Elves.

This was harder than she had thought. Rozanna sucked on the end of her pencil and allowed her eyes to wander around the room.

"Do you hear that, Ms. Pennifold?" He straightened up and adjusted the skinny tie he'd taken to wearing. "Come here," Willy beckoned with a hand, taking a step toward the new girl's desk. "I want to show you something."

Or... a few feet away from William because she wasn't sure what was going on.

"I still don't hear anything." FYI.

"Hummmm hum the moon and the stars hum hum hummm," he didn't know all the words, but gosh, hadn't she heard the song in his head?

What in the hell did he put on his Cheerios this morning? "I don't hear anything, she repeated for the jillionth time. And she was the one that talked to dead people, for Merlin's sake. If there were things to be heard, she would hear them! January didn't come closer, but it didn't look like she had to. She was utterly confused when William took her hand and her eyes widened the size of saucers when he began to dance. With HER.

January was never a big dancer. She wasn't good at it and had never practiced, never gotten asked to dance before, really, so that was the main reason she was as stiff as a log as she ~~twirled~~ tripped over the new girl's desk, her eyes staring into William's as if she was 'dancing' with a madman. Which, in all honesty, she believed she was at the moment.

What is your favourite cleaning utensil?

THAT was a golden question, and one that she thought House Elves would appreciate being asked. They always had a preference, right? So she had to make sure each new home was able to provide these necessities. It made sense in Rozanna's head, which is why she wrote it down with her blue Biro pen in much bigger letters than all of her other stupid questions.

Rozan hadn't heard her co-workers chatting or faffing around at all, until they were RIGHT by her desk. And... dancing?

"Oh." She blurted out, and ruffed her paperwork around as if she didn't want anyone to see it. Some of her questions were really LAME, so yeah, not sharing. "Do you want me to move?" Rozan asked quite politely, despite her views on the matter being the total opposite. Go dance around your own darn desk. If you could call it dancing, that is, since they were both pretty awful.
