Kasimir wandered away from the booth he was supervising. Nobody was walking up to it just yet anyway. All this futuristic stuff was making him uncomfortable. Kas would consider himself a very old fashioned man. Like, he prefers his swords in combat over his wand anyway. He dragged a chair by the refreshments table, plopping himself down on it. His fingers lingered over the food within reach as he decided what to grab. |

Food was on his brain and he hoped since it said food around the world he could get some good things he had never heard of. He liked to try new things and to venture into the unknown, but what to have? "Try anything good yet?" |
Open! So, as exciting and interesting as the Invention Lab looked (and of course, testing peoples inventions all day, everyday had made him wonder if he could create something himself), Adam had to hit up the refreshments first. He'd already eaten earlier, but obviously that didn't mean he wasn't still absolutely starving. It was pretty certain that Lorelai thought he had the same appetite that his teenage sons did, and she'd probably be right. But he had checked his abdomen in the mirror after the gym this morning, and therefore he was allowed to eat whatever he pleased. He didn't make the rules. |
The man of the hour had arrived! Morgan P. Nickels had arrived! Did everyone see him arrive? Because he had arrived. He rubbed elbows with the Adam fellow and beamed at the man. "I'm mighty late to this shindig, I am, but I'm glad to see you here, Gary!" he told Adam. Who he was calling Gary. But who would complain? There was nothing wrong with the name Gary! |
Adam and Morgan Kendra was mostly here for educational purposes. Education of her only daughter, Noémi, that was. Of course, if she found something for herself, whether it be of personal interest or something occupationally related, that would be great as well. But she thought it a brilliant idea to pick up something of cultural and educational value for her fifteen year old while she was in France for most of the summer. So far she hadn't found much that caught her interest either for herself or for her daughter, but she paused as she approached the refreshment area. Kendra wouldn't mind a bite to eat, plus wasn't that....? Yes, it was the new Minister. She hadn't voted for him herself, but she did know the benefit of influence. Wouldn't hurt to chat him up a little, now would it? "Hello," she said politely, greeting both the Minister and the man (Adam) with whom he was currently conversing, as she helped herself to one of the pineapple shooters. "Finding anything interesting here at the trade show?" And she was genuinely interested, in case she missed something important. |
Minister and Kendra! CHEESE ON A STICK. Merlin, if he wasn't behaving like Sparrow. Helping himself to a little, Adam was fairly startled when a voice he recognised - if not from personal association - was directing words at him. Words of greeting. Trying not to look like he was too surprised, he went to offer his hand and - Hang on. Who was Gary? Adam was tempted to look around and see if another unexpected (and unnoticed) person had joined them but the Minister's eyes were focused directly on him. Uh. Maybe, he thought, it was a dialect thing? A pet name, sort of, like 'son' or 'love'. But even so, that was weird, and his forehead creased slightly as he It was after his short introduction that he heard the other voice, and turned to offer the woman a warm smile. "I've only just arrived, I'm afraid. Not had a chance to look around yet." And there was no guilt in his voice that the food was his first stop. None whatsoever - after all, it was here for a reason. |
