Once Department Head Lourdes Black allows you to enter her office, you'll first notice the numerous picture frames with different photographs. There are photographs of her family, friends, and some of herself. Lourdes is a type of person who doesn't like to forget things, especially memorable events that took place in her life. Though at the far end of the room, the last picture frame holds a photograph of a man who seems to have aged from his late 20's to early 30's. No one knows who this man is, but surely Lourdes does since this was her office. The office plan looks more like that of a Muggle principal's office.

In front of the mahogany table that serves as the Department Head's desk are chairs for visitors and Department employees. Take a seat if you want, once you've entered. On top of the desk is a bunch of documents and papers that Lourdes might be filling it right now, so it is best not to put on hands on them. There is also a fireplace at the left side of the room in case it gets chilly on Winter. On the other hand, the right side of the room holds large windows for the Department Head to watch the beautiful sunset during the afternoon. There is also a bookshelf with various genres of books for reference and entertainment purposes.

The office looks simple and isn't anything so extravagant. Lourdes likes it that way. She wants it to be more like a cozy office that reminds you of home, at least in her point of view. Of course, her seat is comfy as a couch to make her feel even more comfortable during the office days. But, sometimes she'd be out of her office during special occasions. Please don't try to break in. She knows if you did, mind you. She may not have security surveillance but she did some spell work.

If you think you need a word with Lourdes or simply just a friendly conversation, please don't hesitate to knock on the door. Lourdes does not bite the life out of anyone, that's for sure. But I'd suggest you to keep the chat to a minimum since Lourdes is a very busy woman considering that she is a Department Head. Lastly, please don't forget to introduce yourself. Lourdes doesn't really know most of you.

A purple paper airplane, complete with the emblem of the Ministry of Magic stamped along its sides, makes its ways through the lifts and corridors of the Ministry of Magic. Reaching its destination, the interdepartmental memo comes to rest in front of its intended recipient.

When unfolded, it reads:

This was it, Ellis Recard had made it into the Department of Magical Games and Sports, and really how could he not? He was a beast at Quidditch and had a League Championship under his belt. The thirty year old, temporarily retired Keeper for the Tutshill Tornados strutted into the level seven offices as if he owned the place and found his way to the Department Head's office.

He had been excited to meet Lourdes ever since he had seen her name on the return owl with his application. She had agreed to hire him on so obviously she was a fan of his as well. Ellis had watched her play with the Harpies before and had even played a match with her two seasons ago, when he was just passed his rookie year on the team. He had been a fan of her and the rest of her former team even though they were all girls.

Recard raised a fist and knocked on his new boss's door and waited to be allowed in.

Lourdes wasn't that busy today. Well, with a preoccupied schedule getting a break was supposed to be worth it. She had the Board of Governors stuff but she knew that she had a level to run. Magical Games and Sports needed her. She did want a spot in the Board but it wouldn't badly disappoint if she didn't get a spot. She still had this lovely level.

Now was her break time and she was spending it by relaxing in her office. Maybe to take some tea or read a book. Just to make it worth it. In a few minutes, she heard a knock on her office door. Interesting. Lourdes took her wand out and flicked it, sending the Alohomora charm at her door. Click. It was unlocked now and Lourdes was ready to talk to people. "Come in," she said. Who was her visitor today? Hmm.

She had said he could come in right? Either way Ellis opened the door, he was tired of standing out in the hall and wasn't in the mood to give out autographs explain why he was standing there if someone came up to him.

Once he stuck his head through the door to make sure she was expecting him, Recard shimmied the rest of his body into the office and shut the door behind himself. He walked across the office floor towards the desk, two chairs and Lourdes Black. "Ms. Black it's a pleasure to finally meet you, officially that is." he added with a mischievous little smirk.

Lourdes watched as the door creaked open. She straightened herself on her seat, all professional-like. She didn't want to have a bad impression on a visitor. Definitely no slacking, just no. She tilted her head a bit to see if anyone decided to enter. The door can't just open all by itself, apparently.

And there was a head. No, not a floating head. Lourdes smiled at the man who peeked in and watched as he finally entered her office. "It's a pleasure to meet you too, Mr. Recard," she greeted. It was obviously Armen's relative or some sort because Lourdes could remember that he applied for the Ministry, specifically her level. Wonder what Armen felt? "Please, have a seat," she said as she stretched an arm towards the vacant seat in front of her table. She didn't want to keep him standing like that.

She was pretty attractive without all that Keeper's gear on--Ellis was impressed.

"Yeah." Was his response when she mentioned how much of a pleasure it was to meet him too. He couldn't for the life of him remember if his team had beat her's when they played that one time but he really wanted to throw it in her face if he did. He'd always had that fire of competition in him, why he had decided to play in the first place...and then apply here and make it big (until he could Keep again) like his older brother.

The thirty year old looked at the chair he was supposed to sit in and unbuttoned his suit coat before doing so. Right, so now he was comfortable. What next?

"I just wanted to come in today and introduce myself since I'm new to the office and all that." Pick up any work that needed doing, sign a few autographs, kiss babies heads, etc.

Lourdes remembered a few matches against this Recard. Some were victories and some were... well, lost to them. She remembered this man as part of the Tornados. His ex-team was a bunch of good players. But to her, Harpies were still awesome because they were a bunch of good players too... except they were all girls. You can't ignore a team of girls. But anyway, Lourdes was looking forward to working with this one.

She watched as this Recard sat down and kind of ignored how we unbuttoned his shirt. She was going to be professional-like today and not get... distracted.

"Oh, alright," she said, nodding. "I do believe you used to play for the Tutshill Tornados, if I'm not mistaken." She remembered, of course, and read his applications for the job. He was fit for the position, Lourdes did not debate with herself unlike what she did with the other applicants. And if he wanted to tell Lourdes more about himself now, he was free to do so. "I could introduce you to the other employees in your division afterwards." It looked like he did want others to know him.

The woman had kind of been staring at him for a minute after he had sat down but Ellis he was used to that sort of thing. Instead of looking back at her he decided to just check out his surroundings. She had a nice office, spacious and clean--not too big. He had visited Armen's office on the floor below this and it was about the same size but he had a bunch of stupid old portkeys and things all over the place.

Now she was talking again. He decided he should probably look at her now that she'd had a few minutes for her eyes to drink in all that was Ellis Recard. "I did. Keeper, like yourself." He inclined his head towards her. "You probably saw that I got a bludger to the head which forced me to go on hiatus. Played for five years before that. Went to school at Beauxbatons and worked at my father's winery before making the team." He planned to get back in the game one day but he was here for a while. "But if you've got any heavy lifting that needs done or to lure some young, hot interns into the office, I'm your guy." He joked with a cheeky smile.

Lourdes then mentioned introducing him to the other employees, it would be good to meet some of them on his first day; he didn't want to eat lunch by himself. "That sounds good. Anything else you'd like to know or for me to get before that?"

This Recard was probably judging her office so Lourdes sat there calmly. In her opinion, her office was okay. It was like home to her, with photos of family and some pictures of her previous team, the Harpies, were there too. Ah well, they can design their office whatever they wanted right? It was a perk of having an office all to yourself. Though it can be lonely in there, which made her appreciate if visitors would like to stop by.

Of course, Lourdes remembered Ellis Recard. Tornado Keeper. And then, he showed her his injury from that bludger. "I hope it doesn't keep you from doing well in both Quidditch and work, Mr. Recard," she said. Quidditch players were special. I repeat, SPECIAL. Beauxbatons, that French magical school. Winery? Lourdes wondered how he could be so good on the broom if he only used to tend a family winery. "What made you fond of Quidditch?" It was a question she wanted people to answer, especially with her people in the department.

So he was good with the introduction, and he wanted to do something. Well... "I've posted in the bulletin the job tasks for each division," she nodded. "As for the League, I can remember that your task, for now, is to prepare a slogan to make fellow Quidditch player aware of their health since there's a disease in the Ministry recently," the woman paused first, and hoped he didn't make a big fuss about the illness. "But don't worry, the Law Enforcement department are working on finding out. Infected people are being quarantined there. Keep safe out there." Now... would he like to move to the League now or something?

Victoria had been working hard at her job and had felt how busy they could be, but at the moment she had a bit of free time, so she wanted to know if there was anything extra she could be helping out with.

As she walked to her bosses door, Victoria gave a smile as she knocked. Hoping she wasn't interrupting anything to much, she just needed a quick word and then she would be out of the way again.

Another day of rest for Lourdes, and once again she was thankful for that. All the debates have been tiring her but she couldn't neglect her job here as a department head. She wasn't busy and it seemed like her level was doing a good job. Maybe she'll poke around the different divisions to check on her employees and see if they're doing tasks smoothly.

That's when she heard a knock on the door. Oh, was it another visitor? Or maybe an employee needing help? Either way, Lourdes was willing to help and welcome them to her office. The woman sat straight on her comfy seat. "Please come in," she said loud enough for the person behind the door to hear.

Victoria heard Lourdes and went into the office. Smiling she moved closer to the desk but didn't sit, since she hadn't been invited to. "I just saw you in the office and thought I would drop by since I had a few extra moments." Victoria knew her boss was very busy and hadn't been around with all the board elections going on.

"How is all the election and debate things going for you?" She was very interested in how her boss was doing. She thought she could do a great job, but didn't want to see her leave the department if it became to much. "I was wondering if there was anything you needed done, I have some free time and just wanted to see if I could help with anything else."

Oh it was Victoria. Lourdes didn't really expect it. The woman smiled at her employee as she entered. Drop by? That was really nice of Victoria. Lourdes did appreciate it that her employees came to her office to visit and address their concerns. "How kind of you, Victoria," she said. You've made your department head glad. "Oh, please take a seat. I wouldn't want you to stand there the whole time." Lourdes gestured to one of the seats in front of her table.

Election and debate things, Lourdes didn't expect that either to be brought up. She expected it to be some sort of concern about work, or if they wanted a change in position due to discomfort. "It's going well, thank you for asking. Though, I'll have to apologise for my absences in the level because of them. I do give you my word that I'll be back here once the elections are over." Lourdes assured her with a nod. She liked that Victoria was concerned with things. Anything she could help with? "I actually think you're doing a great job here in the Department. But right now, I don't really have much things for you to do." At least, Lourdes didn't want to give her employees extra work that might wear them off. She was a considerate woman. "The least you could do now is... well, you've got some new department friends to mingle with. I've hired three more employees while we were on break. I think they'll want to have some acquaintances while they are in the level." That wasn't too much now, right?

Saxon had never been in the head of departments office. She awkwardly stood in front of Lourdes Black's office door, Saxon tipping on her toes and leaning backward and forwards. Although Saxon felt like she had completed her job task she still wasn't quite sure of the outcome. An, if people were to see this, she wanted to be reassured it looked nice and that the department head approved of her invitation. So, she held her folder in her hand, holding it gently like if it were the most fragile thing in the world, with her design stuffed neatly inside its pockets. She lifted her hand up slowly and gently knocked the door and stood off to the side, waiting, hopefully, for the door to open.

Sitting on her regular seat, Lourdes was there reading a random book she'd picked from her bookshelf. While she was in her office, she did want to entertain herself. It was rather comfortable, sitting on her seat and having a book on her hands. Maybe she could make herself some tea soon?

Later on, she heard a knock on her door. Lourdes had been having some recent visitors these days and that seemed really heartening. Looking up, she placed her book on her table before allowing the person on the other side of the door in. "Please come in," she said, hoping whoever was there could hear her voice. Lourdes sat straight, waiting for the person to enter her office.

Victoria took a seat and smiled, "Oh it's nothing really." She didn't see it as nice, but just as something she wanted to do. She always wondered how others were doing, so no big deal. "If you get the position for the board, will that keep you away more?" She was just curious on what that would bring. She wasn't worried that her boss wouldn't be doing the best job, just curious on what the new spot would mean. "Well if you need anything done around here while away don't hesitate to ask." Victoria really wanted to help make things easier for her while she was out, she liked her boss and wanted her to do well.

"Oh new coworkers." Victoria smiled at this, she liked meeting new people and she really needed to find some more friends, since moving here she really only had one. "Yes I will have to make sure to introduce myself and help with whatever they need."

Okay good. Victoria had sat down. Now Lourdes was just listening to her, wondering what she wanted to talk to her about and whatsoever. Now she was talking about being part of the whole Board of Governors campaign. "Oh no, it won't keep me away too long if I do get the position. It would be away but I'll do everything with the best of my abilities to return as soon as possible. But if duty calls, I trust that the department knows what to do while I'm away." Lourdes said. Her employees were great and she did believe they were all capable of handling themselves when she's gone, even when she was gone. So that mean they knew what to do, yes? But that doesn't mean she'll leave them alone. Th department was still one of her top priorities.

Lourdes was pleased that Victoria seemed to like meeting the new employees, so she gave the woman a smile in return. "I could go and introduce to them to you if you would like. I think they're still getting in with the hang of things around the level." She nodded. Lourdes had their records inside her drawer right now. In fact, she had all of the employees records. Everything was divided from the retired, to the ones out on an assignment, and to the ones currently in the level. Organised stuff, of course. But well, she was waiting for Victoria's reply patiently. She'd been a good employee.

Victoria gave her boss a small smile, "Well the board sounds like a great opportunity and a very interesting position. While your away I think we can handle things around here so don't worry about that." She wanted to reassure her of that, she couldn't speak for everyone, but knew that she would do her best to make sure things were running smoothly. "It's nice to now some people that might be doing this position, especially since my son will be there in a few years. I'm glad to know responsible and educated people are looking after the success of Hogwarts."

New Employees, Victoria wondered why she hadn't noticed them since being back from break, but she had been caught up in her own work that she probably wouldn't noticed a chocolate bar on her desk let alone new people walking by. "I don't want to take you from your work, but introducing would be great when you have a chance. It might make it less awkward for them, instead of some stranger just coming up and talking to them." Victoria gave a small laugh, yes she didn't want anyone to think that she was going to try to boss them around or anything, she just wanted to meet them.

"Yes, the board is a big thing," Lourdes had to admit. It would be a great pleasure to be in the Board of Governors. Plus she was passionate about helping people, which is why she was here now. "But I've also got my responsibilities here too. I can't always be gone from the department." And she was secretly thankful that Victoria was offering help, though she might not mention that. It made her feel like she was asking too much from one employee. She'd also ask assistance from the liaison, Chevron, if the level needed some working while Lourdes was busy with the Board... if she gets the position.

Take her away from her work? "Oh no, I'm on break now. Finished everything before you came by." Lourdes was glad she did, so she could go with Victoria and introduce the new employees to her. "We could go now if you want." So..?

Victoria listened as Lourdes talks about the board, it did all seem very interesting. She was watching all this closely as it had been going on. "Well it sounds like you have it all thought out and you are going to do great." She liked the fact that she felt comfortable with her boss, it was nice to have this type of relationship with her boss.

A bigger smile formed as Lourdes said she had time, that would be great. Victoria really did want to meet the new employees and make them feel welcomed. She felt very welcomed when she started, so of course she wanted everyone to feel that way. "Yes that sounds like a great idea. Now would be just fine." She got up out of her seat and waited to see where they would be going.

Saxon heard the voice inside telling her to come in. She sighed out in relief, so far so good. When she opened the door she peeked her head through the space, checked the room to make sure that she wasn't interrupting anything, and she wasn't. So, straighting up Saxon walked towards the desk and sat down on the chair. Oh oh, could she sit down? Saxon wasn't told to sit down. She was like a deer caught in the headlights.

Oh, the chair seemed very comfortable. Too comfortable. It felt like one of those chairs you can lean back in a bit. Forgetting where she was Saxon began to lean back in her chair and lean forward in a funny manner. The blonde realized what she had been doing, and then stopped, cleared her throat and sat still.

"Yes, I'm Saxon Kildare," her face was red from embarrassment "I work in the Gobstones Public relations office, and I wanted to pass by the invitations to you." That's what she was her for. Saxon sat in her chair waiting for a reply.

Lourdes waited for the person to enter and once the person, did Lourdes smiled at her. "Hello," she greeted. Compared to her other employees, or at least the ones whom she got to know, this one looked a lot younger than them. It was good to know that the younger generation (maybe) was interested in Quidditch and other magical sports. Not that, well, the love for these games and sports would die off you know. It'd be passed from generation to generation.

The blonde didn't really mind if the younger one wanted to sit. What's the use of comfy chairs and seats anyway? "Nice to meet you, Miss Kildare... or would you prefer that I call you by your first name?" Lourdes asked. Mariel preferred it than calling her Miss Morgan, so it probably was the same with this one. Oh! The invitations. Lourdes couldn't forget, and she initially thought her Gobstones Relations employees had forgotten too. "That's wonderful! Could you please show me them, then?" Lourdes waited for Saxon to pass to her the invitation.

So far so good. Saxon was in the clear. She hadn't been reprimanded for her silly behavior towards the chair right now. The blonde just couldn't resist the temptation."Oh, I would actually prefer being called Saxon actually. Miss Kildare sounds rather formal, and I'm far from form...." The girl was rambling and starting to sound quite idiotic. When Ms. Black asked for the invitations Saxon quickly shuffled through her folder as she searched around for them. "Ah, here they are" Saxon said as she laid them out on the table, so that the text faced Ms. Black. Hopefully she would like them and they would be approved. Now, she may be a bit in herself but Saxon believed they were rather brilliant. Though, that was up to Ms. Black to say, not Saxon. So, feeling slightly anxious Saxon twiddled with her fingers and spoke up quietly, "How are they?"

Oh alright, the first name basis it is. "You have a unique name, by the way, Saxon," Lourdes told her employee and gave her a reassuring smile. She has never heard of that name prior to now. Also, there wasn't anything to be afraid or nervous of. Lourdes could tell that the girl in front of her was a tad bit jumpy. She wouldn't bite their heads off if they did anything wrong. Having a new boss could be the reason for the all nerve, but Lourdes wasn't like that.

Looking at the invitations Saxon had made as the younger blonde laid them on the desk, Lourdes was actually smiling. She was fascinated, and the invitations looked really good. "I'm impressed, Saxon," the depart head finally looked at her employee with a grin on her face. "They look wonderful." Perhaps Lourdes could make more copies of this with the Duplicating or Doubling charm. And what was that? Lourdes considered giving the girl a salary raise for her efforts. Hmm... Lourdes would have to think about that thoroughly, so that it would also be fair for her other employees.
