Fulton nodded, " She is a very talented witch...I'm very excited to be working under her as a matter of fact. "

It was indeed very true.. If he were going to learn from anyone here it was his new boss.. Her no nonsensibilty appealed to his focused determination to prove himself...

He smiled at Becca as she told him how and where to get a hold of her if ever he should like to... " Thanks.. I'll have to remember that.."

And then addressing them both... " Well, It was very nice meeting the both of you... but I think perhaps I'd be better off not standing here holding a full plate and blocking traffic as I'm sure to be threatening such an occlusion...."

' What in sam hill's goat fur was with the ramblings of Fulton Briggs?!...' he thought to himself.. 'Good job fitting in... Ninny'

He didn't know what else to say or do so he just kind of turned awkwardly away and made for the chairs he off to the side...

Gid smiled and nodded in agreement with Fulton. He agreed with the man, he'd worked well with the woman the year previously setting up the junior games they'd worked together on. She definitely was a talented witch. It had gone very smoothly with very minor hiccups for the most part.

"It was very nice meeting you as well. Enjoy your night." he said with a kind smile again, but his eyes twinkled humorously when he said he shouldn't be blocking traffic with a full plate. That was likely a good idea! Lest someone end up with a suit covered in it.

He snorted softly when Becca spoke with her hand on his arm "I'll remember that, and I've already assured that the walls and door are not made of glass."

"Oh, she definitely is." Becca nodded, smiling. Hopefully Fulton's new boss would help him to come out of his shell a little more. "Please do. I'm always happy to meet people." Oh yeah, right... this conversation had run its course. "It was very nice meeting you too. Maybe find yourself a seat and a glass of something or other." That might calm him down. She watched him walk away and smiled at Gid.

"Hmmm, you mean you've learnt that the noise can be loud and that it's not such a great thing when your office can cave in on you?" she snorted. "Now stop annoying me and go greet your employees." Yeah. He wasn't in good books, he was just on extended leave from her attitude.

He agreed, knowing that the woman would easily be able to help him get adjusted and knew full well she was more than competent. He smiled softly and nodded watching him walk away from them.

A SMILE! He beamed at her, finally she'd smiled at him. Okay that's a good sign right? He snickered a little at her comment "Yeah, caving in offices sort of puts a damper on stuff, and is a bit messy to tidy up." He shut his mouth and looked a little like a wounded puppy when she said he was annoying her "Okay love." he said softly.

Eyeing his beaming face, Becca wondered if Gid thought he was out of trouble. Oh, that most certainly wasn't the case! Ha! He was going to get a surprise later. "I never found it to be a damper. I always found that it reinforced my frustration at their failures." Yeah, and throwing a stapler at them was just a way of testing their reflexes. Mhmm. Raising an eyebrow at his pathetic look, she pushed his arm gently. "Don't get so offended. You annoy me every minute of every day. Doesn't mean I don't love you."

He nearly snorted at her response. "Particularly Isaac I take it" he asked with amusement. Yeah almost everyone had learned his weakness. He didn't know if he'd do the stapler reflex, but he had incorporated his specialized training center in level 2 as well as a few others. He was really looking forward to it too, he loved that he was going to get a chance to get back into this field of work. He'd certainly missed it and missed working with her too! He gave her puppy dog eyes at the raised eyebrow "Awwww I do?" he asked pouting just a tiny bit but smiled at her last words "I love you too."

"Of course. Though with Isaac making sure nothing red was near and could break and look like blood was a necessary precaution." Yeah, she'd had to get rid of her red coloured drinks. The foolish guy had become an auror but fainted at the sight of blood. Not exactly the best mix. Becca had no idea how he'd gotten so far. His puppy dog eyes brought her back to the present and gained a raised eyebrow look from Becca. "Of course you do. Obviously I don't tell you enough." She'd be sure to let him know every day that he annoyed her. Mhmm. "Oh, please. Save me, I'll throw up if you get any more lovey dovey in public." she rolled her eyes at him.

He snickered even more. "Too true, poor guy has such a strong weakness, still don't understand how he made auror with that much difficulty in seeing blood." Some just couldn't handle injury or the sight of injury. He didn't mind it much, it was part of the job and training! He'd seen far worse if he'd been honest. He sighed looking pouty again and shook his head. "Hey!" he said then and eyed her but was teasing.

"Me neither. How many times has he had to face blood and how many times has he walked away from it without a bump somewhere?" She really didn't know. "I know he's sort of doing better with it though." Yeah, he was STARTING to build up a tolerance. Hopefully he'd continue that. She tilted her head at him being pretend outraged and pushed his arm again. "You know how I feel about sickly sweet soppy love stuff." she pulled a face. Only in private and only rarely.

He pulled a face nodding "What can you do then? Just hope he doesn't faint in a bad situation or he'll only make it worse. Good thing he's not our problem anymore!" he just snorted though. Whomever it had been that took over Italy's MLE after Becca he hadn't envied. He nodded though at her comment about Isaac doing better with it. He sighed even more dramatically, "Guess I should stop then."

"It was just hope for the best with him, really." she shrugged. "He was never a problem for me. More of a curious child who liked to skip the boring stuff to get to the fun stuff." Yeah, like his paperwork. The amount of times she'd returned his paperwork and stood there while he filled the rest out wasn't even worth trying to count. "Yes, please do stop." Becca gave him an exasperated look. "Go do your job. I can scare people all by myself, thanks."

He snorted a little at that and nodded "I don't know what I'd have done if he'd been in my department for anymore than a fill in at times." He shook his head and shrugged. It was too bad really, they had had a good team back then. Merlin, they'd had their share of interesting employees too though. He stuck his tongue out a teensy bit at her request but nodded "Okay then. Don't let me stop you there."

"Well that's why he was in my department and not yours. Because I know how to handle weird. That's why I married you." Yeah, like that had even been a choice. She'd fallen so completely in love with him that she couldn't imagine not spending the rest of their lives together. When he stuck out his tongue, Becca's eyes rested on it for a moment. "Mhmm, thanks for the permission." She SO needed that. Not.

He nodded and shrugged though "What auror can you say there ever has been that hasn't been at least a little weird though?" he asked with amusement in his tone. He wrinkled his nose at her "Okay then, don't go scare people?" he asked snorting.

"I'm not weird," was her immediate response. If he disagreed, he'd be STRAIGHT back in the bad books. He knew better than that. "I'm unique and I'm your worst nightmare." Yep. If he didn't believe it, she'd prove it to him. Raising an eyebrow at Gid's answer, Becca stared at him. "Stop talking."

He nearly snorted at that and swallowed his eyes going slightly wide. "You are always unique! And everyone's worst nightmare, not just mine." There, right? IT was true! She was pretty bad and amazing at her job. He just hoped he'd do just as good!

When he answered like a child who realised they might just have gotten into trouble, Becca shook her head. How many people wanted to hear that they were everyone's worst nightmare? Luckily for Gid, she was one of the exceptions. "Good. I'd have to try harder otherwise." He knew that would just mean terrorising him repeatedly.

He smirked a little bit at her comment. "You might do so anyway just to spite me and everyone else." he said with a wink. He knew her a little too well, but loved her for it all the same. "At least try and enjoy yourself. Hm?" he said with a soft smile.

"Don't tempt me." Seriously, it wasn't like she needed a reason to try harder at making life hard for people. It was just a natural talent, or at least that was what she told herself. "Enjoy myself? Why? The Ministry has already tried to turn me into an object that is owned and I get feeling I'm going to go crazy in this job." Obliviator. Really?

He was fighting not to snicker now but tried to make a serious face anyway. "I wouldn't want to do that." Of course not! "I don't think you'll ever be owned by anyone. And you will do amazing!"

Raising an eyebrow at Gid's expression, Becca swatted his arm again. "Shut up." Then her eyes focused on him. "Hmm... I doubt I'll mess it up, but it's not exactly my old job." HINT, HINT.

He wrinkled his nose at her words and then eyed her at the end "You won't mess it up, I taught you well in that department." If he wasn't careful, he'd get obliviated himself!

"I didn't exactly need teaching to be careful. I'm pretty good at that, thanks." she eyed him again. "But yeah, I don't think I'm going to mess it up. I just want my old job back." Her heart had broken when she'd left her old job for them all, but sacrifices were part of being a parent.

He blinked and nodded "I know that." he said and just tried to shrug it off. She just wasn't happy she hadn't ended up in MLE he knew but what could he do. It would raise questions having him as her spouse of the department she worked in! "I know" he said softly "I wish there was a way for you to have that."

"But there isn't because you have it." she just looked at him. "I'm happy for you, but I'm not happy in general." she explained, sighing. "I sacrificed so much for the whole family and it seems like I'm still doing it." No tears, Becca. None. Nope. Don't ruin the make up.
