The Direct Floos are not public access and each is passworded. Only MLE employees and those accompanied by someone who works here are able to use these floos. They serve as a link to the other areas in which MLE employees spend their time, that is the Security Office in the Atrium on level 8 and, for the Wizengamot in particular, near the courtrooms on level 10.

Of course, MLE employees of other divisions have been noted to use these floos as a shortcut on occasion, especially when a visit to the food court or a coffee run is in order.

Aside from the Floos that you can find here in this internal foyer area, there is also a seating area with comfortable couches set along the wall, with little tables if the Law Enforcement employees feel like taking a bit of a break but don't have time to leave the department itself.

Still stewing about the loss of his desk because of the new YATI, Jory shuffled off to the Direct Floos. Boss man said to make it to Courtroom seven in five minutes and this was a quick way to get there.

After giving the password, Jory snatched a fistful of green powder into fireplace and moodily stepped in, adjusted his bag strap which hung over his right shoulder so that his bag rested at his left side. "Level Ten!'' He spoke loudly and clearly. He did not look forward to ending up at the wrong level given that he had so little time.

After showing Galen the other office as well as the other rooms along the back corridor, Simon lead him into the secondary entrance foyer, the one that was predominately if not exclusively used by MLE employees. Two large fireplaces perfect for standing graced the small room. "These floos go directly to the Level Eight security office above the atrium and the Level Ten courtrooms respectively," he informed his companion as he turned towards him and stopped walking. "They are both password protected on a rotating basis and allow for quick departmental movement and in the case of the courtrooms...secure prisoner transportation."

They certainly hadn't lost DeTalone from the holding cells to the courtroom.

"Any questions before we move on?" No doubt it could be a lot to take in. Simon certainly didn't want to overwhelm his new employee. Maybe they would only stick to MLE levels today...continue the rest during the rest of the week.

They had started on the MLE level Galen took good mental note of the office locations. He was confident if needed he could easily find them again. Now they were standing infront of a couple of direct network Floos. " Level eight security Offices, and Courtrooms, " He stated out loud to make sure the information stuck with him. "No Questions I think it got it so far."

He had to admit, he liked having such an intentive follower so far. Not someone who believed the Daily Prophet's lies, nor had issues with authority or others in general. Galen wasn't one to have trouble with like the Carter aunt and niece duo. And then there was no questions so Simon felt free to move them on. "Good...then we'll head down to the courtrooms," he mused, walking over to the corresponding floo and grabbing some floo powder.

"The current password is statute," he informed his companion, making a mental note to see about what made up the list of passwords with transportation. But time enough for that. The new head stepped inside and added some powder before repeating clearly, "Statute," and disappearing in green flames.

As one stepped inside the smaller room, there was a seating area off to the left side and two floos that dominated the corners they had been built in on the right. “While the lifts and staircases can easily get us from Level 2 to the various levels, departments and areas of the Ministry, these two passworded floos are linked directly to the two most important locations for the MLEr,” he explained as he stopped between them, turning to face Ivy as he prepared to speak further.

“This one is to Level 10 and the courtrooms that reside there,” Simon said, motioning to fireplace on her right and his left. “Useful for transporting prisoners from lock-up to trial.” Less time and chances for them to escape not to mention need for watchers to waste effort traveling all the way down from 2 – 10. “And this…” his pointing moving to his right and his companion’s left. “connects Level 8 with us. Essential for Security to save time.” He wouldn’t be back and forth so often if it wasn’t available. Even with his perchance to still go on rounds himself.

"That's convenient," She said more to herself than to her superior, eyes on the one floo and then the other as each were explained to her.

"Do the passwords change daily or?" That was important to know. "And are people from other departments permitted to use them as well or is it limited to those working in our department?" Given they were password protected, she had some idea what the answer would be, but one never knew.

The security man watched as his companion observed the two floos. The observer being observed. “Indeed,” Simon agreed, quite convenient. He himself certainly got a lot of use out of the quick passage. No wasting time in the course of doing what he had to do on a regular basis.

“Not daily, no,” he answered, “but regularly they are switched for various reasons.” There wasn’t any set schedule and Simon liked it that way. Kept it interesting and perhaps a touch more secure given no one with wrong intentions could make plans. "Mostly just our department, however department heads are kept in the loop at times in case of emergency.” Not that they had really had any of that type of emergency in a long while and hopefully wouldn’t have need in the future.

“For now, we’ll head down to Level 10 and make our way up to 8,” he remarked, grabbing a handful of floo for the passage and tossed it in to the appropriate fireplace. “Geiger,” Simon spoke the password clearly, unlocking it and watching the flames turn green before motioning for Ivy to step inside and following after before they disappeared.
