I think Ministry-wide parties (at least in the beginning and then sprinkled throughout later on) would be a really fun and awesome way for everyone to get to interact and create a sense of family and such that the School RPG has, despite being seperated into House (aka for MoM purposes, Departments)

THat was my train of thought.

I think there needs to be some event(s) to let all departments intermingle certain times throughout the RP.

Several terms ago, there was a plot where students were transformed unwillingly into animals...

..And it was unbelievably fun...

...and it would be much more chaotic in the Ministry RP

Okay there...been chatting with Aparecium (the entire team as a whole don't know WHO the writers are so don't ask.)

and they told me to suggest my idea here....

We all know how the School RPG has the Aparecium where its in character gossip about wahts going on in the ministry...well, simple enoguh Idea. Aparecium-based-IC gossip collumn for the Ministry doesn't have to be the same writers but this way some interesting things could be said.

For example:

Ministry worker found upsidedown at a cafe today. What was it that enticed the girl to do such a thing as lean back in a rickety chair? Was it the guy she was obviously drooling over. Or was it that this worker was just as careless and uncoordinated as a broken door?

Yes, it would be chaotic (and fun!) to RP. Good idea! Thanks for the suggestion!

I think bring your kid to work day would be fun The only problem I see is that there are so many young ministry workers that many of them don't have kids Hmm. I dunno, bring your parent/sibling/kid/great Aunt Norma to work day?

I think this would be hilarious! Just have everyone rp (in the same posts as their REAL charrie with a different font color or something) a family member of any kind (Children, parent, sibling, grandparent, etc.). And we could have a luncheon or something aswell.

That intern thing is a GREAT idea.

Hmm...intern and mentor would be good because then you could be assigned an actual other-member's ssrpg character to show around...so you aren't there fighting with yourself and talking to yourself and wishing someone else would talk to you - so you didn't have to do all the work.

Kind of like secret-santa idea just get a random kid you don't know.

Before the MOM entered the remodling face on level 6 where i worked then we had a figurine plot where miniture statues came to life and caused havoc. In this case it was miniture statues of the four hogwarts houses crest animals eg lion, badger, snake and raven that attacked. Any chance of making a figurine plot like that but in a larger scale on all levels. Chris knows what i'm referring too.

Maybe a plot with the ministry weather going totally wonky on all floors causing floods, sauna hottness, arctic cold etc.

I like the idea of intering.. would the intering only be open to hogwarts school students?

The interning idea is a good one. Not sure about the weather one since it reminds me of the plot we did on level 3 where the environmental controls went ary and changed the windows into portholes and flooded the dept.
