Welcome to the Wizarding Environment Rejuvenation Summit (W.E.R.P.S.), hosted by the Ministry of Magic. This noteworthy event features expert speakers and informational demonstrations intended to educate and equip the wizarding community with the tools necessary to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
The summit is held in the Ketteridge Conservatory located at the edge of Canterbury, England. The conservatory is protected under heavy concealment charms to deter Muggles and keep it out of their sight, appearing to them as an abandoned building encompassed by overgrown weeds and warning signs. But to the wizarding community, the palatial greenhouse is surrounded by beautiful landscaping with lush greenery of mundane and magical varieties. Inside, visitors will find much more plant life located within the themed rooms. Scheduled speakers and activities are situated throughout for an immersive, educational experience.
Step inside, grab a brochure, take a moment to stop and smell the roses, and learn what you can about becoming more environmentally conscious.

Questions and Answers
1. Who can I play here?
You can play your ministry characters, plus any other adult characters of your choosing. There is no limit to the
number of characters which you bring to the the summit, however you cannot bring 11-18 year old students who should be at school (though professors are permitted to attend), as this is taking place in late January 2093. No Muggles allowed!
2. So wait, is this the Ministry Orientation?
Yes and no. We are holding this event instead of holding just another orientation. IC however, your character has begun (or resumed) work with the ministry of magic for the year already. We thought it would be nice to do something completely different and all ministry employees are encouraged to attend.
3. Is my Ministry Character working or just here for fun?
That's up to you. You are welcome to say that your character is currently on the job. Security might be securing things, Aurors watching out for shifty individuals, Environmental employees putting finishing touches on displays, International Cooperation employees helping host international guests, maybe your character just got told they should attend for education reasons, its completely up to you to decide if your ministry character is working at the event or just attending it! Feel free to touch base with your department head if you have any ideas or want to hash things out.
4. Whats with that speakers corner forum?
The presentations will be held in that forum. In the interest of streamlining the event, we ask that you follow the instructions in the ooc notes in those threads, pasted here for your convenience:
ooc: Remember, this is not a lesson like in the school RPG. Due to the nature and format of these presentations, please try to limit yourself to one main reaction post in response to the presentation/speech showing your character listening/participating/reflecting as you see fit. You may post a second time after the speaker character responds to your questions, or to interact with the speaker at the end of the presentation.
In short, don't think of the speaker threads as general RP areas, think of it more like how we treat the sorting thread in the school rpg where you make a single post- Its a place to have your character/s to respond to the presentations.
5. So I can RP like normal in these other threads?
Yes, you can RP in the
Outdoor Garden,
the Testing Room,
the Dining Terrace, and
the Atrium as you please.
6. Erm... what's up with those red name character accounts?
Some of the
red name accounts are speakers, others are... something else. We encourage you to interact with them with your characters, shifty things may be afoot and we all like shifty things, don't we?
Further questions can be asked in this thread or PM'd to a department head, the Ministry Admin, or the Minister for Magic.
