History: Lyra's parents met when his dad, Ezra Woods, was on a trip to America with the MOM Department of Magical Cooperation. His mother, Sarah Edgefield, who was working with MACUSA at the time, fell madly in love with Ezra and they were married within a year. Ezra had two half-blood parents and was brought up in a magical setting, while Sarah was a Muggleborn. They attempted to mix the two ways of raising a child throughout Lyra's life, making sure he was around both muggles and wizards. Just a year before Lyra was ready for his magical education, they decided they wanted him to go to Ezra's school, Hogwarts, so they moved to a suburb of London in the months leading to his Eleventh birthday. Lyra was sorted into Ravenclaw and quickly found an aptitude for Astronomy, never getting anything lower than an O in the class. When he reached his third year, he also found he was excellent at Ancient Runes and Arithmancy, quickly making these three subjects his top priority. After graduating Hogwarts, he went to London Wizarding University for five years and getting degrees in both Astronomy and Ancient Runes. While he was in University he was working an internship at an Astronomy lab or running a tutoring service for his best subjects. After getting his degrees, he floated around trying to get jobs he wasn't qualified for until he was 27 when he finally sucked it up and applied for the ministry.

In September of the year 2065 James Draper was sorted into Gryffindor House. His strong sense of self, bold persona, and courageous heart allowed him to fit in right away. However, James was often more inclined to socialization and left his education by the wayside. Focusing more on staying on top of the social ladder and up-keeping his mischievous reputation lead James into more detentions than honors. James failed to prove himself academically and was thus rejected from all the universities he applied to by the end of his Seventh Year. His low academic performance whilst at Hogwarts lead him to enlist in the British Army immediately after his graduation.

Once graduated from Hogwarts, reality hit James very quickly. His shortcomings in academics lead to rejection from five separate universities and left him without any direction for his future. Believing he had been backed into a corner, James enlisted in the British military. His first ten weeks were spent undergoing strenuous training, where he learned very quickly that one ought to shut their mouth and take direction. During the course of his training James learned much about discipline, restraint, and self-control, all qualities, which he had never practiced until this time.

After ten weeks of initial training in combat, classroom, and environment, James was stationed at a base in England. After two years his exceptional skill lead to his deployment where he was placed in the jungles of Brunei. In Brunei he spent weeks at the Jungle Warfare School, where his interest in the diverse creatures of the land peaked. Whilst on the job, James often found himself wondering off into the jungles to observe the wildlife he encountered. He often took notes and wrote journals of these encounters, in order to keep memory of the journeys. After his four-year-long contract with the military was finally served, James decided to leave the armed forces. He did, however, stay behind in Brunei (later making his way around to China) for the next two years in order to study the diverse fauna.

Realizing that he had a newfound passion for creatures, James packed his bags and went back to his home in England, where he would then pick up a few classes at a local academy. After receiving an ample amount of credits from the local school, James was able to reapply to WU (Edinburgh Campus) and was later accepted under the academic studies of Cryptozoology and Magizoology. His acquired discipline, passion, and drive allowed for James to excel in his studies for the first time in his life. And in the spring of 2086, James graduated from WU with both degrees. Immediately he began travel and before the year came to an end he decided it was time to settle down and find a real job. When he found out his Alma Mater had an opening in the Creatures field, he was quick to jump on board, ready to redeem himself for the initial seven years he had spent taking his schooling for granted. After two years, Draper found it time to part ways with his Alma Mater, taking up a job within the field at Colchester Golden Snidget Sanctuary where he would stay for the next seven years as the on-site Injured Creature Specialist. While the work was consuming, it did allow him time to focus on his academic journals. Next stop? The Ministry of Magic, of course!

Job Description: Aurors are an elite magical law enforcement unit tasked with protecting the Wizarding World from dark wizards and witches. They specialise in the identification and defence against dark magic and are taught to use any means necessary to take down a dark wizard. They are licensed to use even unforgivable curses if a situation calls for it.. It takes three years of training in order to become an Auror and this is usually done at a specialised training institution, of which there are several in the Wizarding World. MLE employees in other divisions may undertake training if they wish to become an auror at the discretion of the Department Head. Some of the required subjects include Stealth and Tracking, Advanced Magical Combat and Concealment and Disguise.

Hobbies: Benzi has had a myriad of hobbies throughout the years. As a child, he was very fond of football and enjoyed playing with his late uncle quite a bit. He was on the Hogwarts gobstones team for a year or two, but his biggest passion as a teenager was music. A proficient drummer and occasional guitarist, Benzi formed a band with two of his best friends (Noel Wallace, still one of his best friend today, and Hayley.. Diggory, now Valera, whom he rarely sees or talks to) called Wizriots. The band had meant everything to Benzi once upon a time, they played in school parties quite a bit, but as soon as graduation rolled around, the band broke up. He was a year older than his bandmates, and his career ambitions lay very far from music. Eventually, he drifted away from music in general, and only came back to it years later.

A steady hobby throughout his life is physical activity. Benzi has always known he wanted to be an auror, and being an auror meant that his body needed to step up to the task, all day every day. Rarely is there a day he doesn't partake in some form of physical exercise, and people should expect a foul mood from him should they cross him on a day like that.

As his daughter grew up, his hobbies shifted to adapt to her needs. He now travels a lot with her, their favourite of the father daughter activities, and even moved his musical instruments from storage to the living room, where Emma enjoys hitting them and making his ears bleed. He often wishes he could spark some sort of interest within him for cooking, as his diet goes hand in hand with his physical exercise and it’s important for Emma to stay healthy, but sadly he has yet to find joy from wearing an apron in the kitchen.

Benzi's seventh year and following young adulthood was tumultuous to say the least. Wizriots the band was on shaky ground with his graduation looming upon them in the summer, and sparks were flying between Benzi and Hayley, despite them both being in relationships. It was a year of shameful actions (cheating on Evie) and important successes (winning the dueling club contest, and receiving his letter of recommendation from Professor Dakest, which would guarantee him a place in the YATI program). It was a year of angry outbursts and sad, quiet moments. Of being full of responsibilities (Prefecthood) and wanting to do nothing all the time (that seventh year mood).

Benzi graduated Hogwarts with Hayley Diggory as his girlfriend, and nine NEWTs under his belt, very ready to start his first year as a YATI. And when January 2089 rolled around, he did just that. Evie Shaklebolt was there too, which was awkward, but he figured they were both far too invested in becoming Aurors to let something like that stand in their way. In Evie's case, he'd been right. Regarding his own... he was not. Half a year into his training, hardly having spare enough time to breathe, he received devastating news from the girl he loved so so much. From nowhere, for no real reason, Hayley Diggory had decided to break up with him.

Deeply attuned to his feelings, the betrayal and heartache affected him too much. He could no longer focus, the bitter taste in his mouth overpowering. He'd cheated on Evie for nothing, he'd gambled on Hayley Diggory for nothing, she just threw him away like trash first chance she got. Eventually, Benzi couldn't take living his life anymore and one disappeared off to America, with a one way ticket.

Nineteen years old, penniless and heartbroken, Benzi lived a numb life in New York. Pulling some connections with his old YATI Head Auror employer Legend Chosen, he managed to get Benzi into MACUSA security as an entry level sentry guard. Benzi spent his days guarding the New York wizarding community, and his nights partying. Party after party until it all blurred together and still he was numb, still had no intention of ever returning to England.

That is, until April 21st 2091. Twenty years old now and just returning from work, his doorbell rang. Thinking nothing of it, he rang the person up and open the door to find a sight that would forever be etched in his mind. Polina Diaz, Polly, one of the girls he'd been seeing on and off for some months, holding a tiny, tiny bundle wrapped in white. "This is your daughter," she'd said to him, and explained that she couldn't keep her.

That was the day his world changed, and life would never be the same.

Benzi returned to London with Emma Louise, his tiny perfect daughter, in July 2091. He had resigned from MACUSA, and sent a letter back in April to the British Ministry, requested to rejoin the YATI program. His request was approved, with a hitch: he'd have to start from the very beginning, no shortcuts. Thus began his life as a single, working father. Twenty two years old, his saving grace was his mother and her husband who were instrumental to his survival of Emma's first years. Whenever he'd be at work or at school, Emma would be with her grandparents, and he'd come pick her up as soon as he was done. Some days, she came with him to school, and if nothing else could be arranged, even to work.

It was a difficult period in his life, but his favourite. He'd never been so focused, so driven, so ready to step up to the task and prove to himself that he could do it all. It took him three and a half years to finish the YATI program, and graduate London WU. Without his mother, it wouldn't have happened. Without the support of his friends, Noel, Q, Evie, other Aurors from work, it wouldn't have happened. His life might have been a little easier if Hayley hadn't returned to it, but that was now in the past, and he was grateful that it never worked out. Hayley Diggory, now Valera, had been what he'd thought was the love of his life, and he'd proved to himself beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he could live just fine without her.

Eventually, life simmered down. Emma grew from a baby to a toddler to an energetic child who reminded him of himself so much he worried. His best friends got together, which made seeing them much easier. His family troubles lessened as his sisters grew older, and his pay grade rose as he quickly graduated from Junior Auror to Auror, and then to a very good Auror.

Life's good for Benzi Rider. Now, let's not jinx it.

Personality: Mai is a petite, engaging creature overflowing with positive energy. Intelligent and bright, she is also popular and eminently lovable. Unfortunately, when training for a new job she can get very immersed in the work in order to become as good as she can; usually surprising her peers and teachers with her ability. History: Mai has had a very regular childhood. Two loving parents, she grew up speaking both of their native tongues – English and Vietnamese. Although she was a bit taller than the other kids because her dad is English, she got along with everyone quite well with how friendly she is and never had a problem making friends.
When she was approached with her family about magic and this whole new world, she thought it was amazing and beautiful. What could be better? Her parents were hesitant, but once they got to witness things like talking mail and the flu network? They were a little more convinced that the strange things they’d seen their daughter do maybe wasn’t so crazy after all. Lucien thoroughly enjoyed his time at Hogwarts and in his further studies, he was always a bit of a nerd as people liked to say, but he didn’t really care. He got lost in his books and was quite content learning about the fascinating world he had never gotten the chance to be a part of before as his dad – who Lucien later learned from his mother – was a wizard.
Once Lucien learned of the wizarding world, he started looking for his father to find out why he never stuck around. After almost 15 years of searching Lucien finally came across his father in a house in Turkey, who turned out to be a drunk and angry man. He wasn’t worth the search, but unfortunately in Lucien’s anger he lashed out at his father and they began a short-lived duel. Lucien was picked up by the muggle authorities a couple hours later and charged with trespassing on private property by his father. That was the last he ever tried to contact him, and good riddance in Lucien’s opinion.
Now Lucien is trying to start over and find a family within the wizarding community that he had been craving in his search for his dad. Excited for a new start within the British Ministry he is looking forward to the next adventure, and puzzle-to-solve, ahead.

Job Description:
Charmists are tasked with studying the effects of love (human emotions on a broader scale) on magical law. The seven types of love (Eros, Ludus, Pragma, Agape, Philia, Storge, and Philautia) are carefully examined in association with their influence on casting as well as magic's ability to manipulate and emulate it. Experimentation to deepen the Wizarding World's understanding of the line separating charms and Dark charms is observed, as well as research into love as protective magic. Charmists are responsible for the safe and structured expansion of Entrancing Enchantments known to the Wizarding World and may be required to work alongside Charms Developers in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes and present in front of the Experimental Charms Committee pending approval from the Department Head. Unforgiveable Curses and the Patronus Charm are also carefully examined. A minimum O grade in NEWT level Charms, as well an E grade in NEWT level Ancient Runes is required. They must also have at least 3 other NEWT level subjects. Transfiguration is recommended. A degree in Experimental Magic & Research is a must.

History:
Freyja Westergaard was born in Norway to Boden and Silja (nee Larssen) Westergaard on 17 October 2076, the oldest of four children and the only girl. Her family emigrated to London, England in February of 2078. Her brother Rafe was born in December 2078; brother Jensen in April 2081; and brother Crosby in June 2082. A romantic at heart, Freyja had a serious boyfriend during her time at Hogwarts; however, the pair broke up once graduation came. She has dated on and off since then but not settled down with anyone yet. After college, she was hired on at the Ministry's Department of Mysteries in the Love Chamber, which she was thrilled about. She has an intense fear of heights and refuses to go anywhere near a broom. She has become a very skilled at Apparition because of this.
