They say true love is a match made in heaven. Perhaps they’re right. Find out high above the trees on a romantic hot air balloon ride.
You walk down a hill and find an enormous balloon with alternating, multicolored stripes waiting for you and your date in the valley. Climb into the basket and prepare for the gravity defying ride. Get hungry? Not a problem. There’s a basket filled with sandwiches and sweets alike. Dine, chat, and enjoy the view among the clouds.  | |

Arriving well before the agreed upon time Natasha walked around in her soft pink dress with a shawl around her shoulders and low but elegant heels on her feet. To finish her look off she had also fastened a small pink rose onto her diadem. It had taken her several hours to decide on what to wear and her sister Isobel hadn't been of much help at all. Izzie had thought that every dress was beautiful.
Curling a blond strand of hair around her finger she strolled around the valley in a slow pace stressing about the fact that this was the first proper albeit blind date that she had been on in years. Natasha hadn't sworn off men after her divorce per say she just hadn't dated.
When the matchmaker service came to Diagon Alley though she figured she'd try her luck, even if Natasha didn't end up finding Mr right on this date then she could at least say that she was out on the date scene again.

Had he known they'd send him up in the air via highly explosive muggle device, Roscoe Bole would have thought twice about his sign up. Really, what were the dating people thinking? Did they see Bole and think Head of Aurors and fearless, freak-of-nature size beast? Why hadn't he used a fake name?
To top it off, his "date" (surrounded by quotations because already it was doomed to fail) was, for lack of better words, smoking hot. Like Hunter Bones hot, if Hunter was blond and girly and pinky. Merlin. He hadn't even brushed his hair. Merlinmerlinmerlinmerlin.
He approached, hands in pockets, grimace in place. Should he apologize now or save it? Maybe a greeting first: "....Hi." Was he late? | |

She wanted whomever she was set up to meet on this blink to get there to stop her from freaking out about being on a date in the first place. Pulling her shawl closer around her shoulder’s Natasha turned and headed back towards the meeting point.

"Uh... yeah. I think. I mean, I signed up for it or something," he mumbled, hands still clenched in his pockets. "... but... I guess I didn't know...," you know, that they'd try to kill him and a beautiful woman. His mother would be so disappointed and Van would probably distance himself from the name Bole when the tragedy hit the headlines. Ros couldn't blame either of them, really.
"So...," like.... did she want to do this? Or just go ahead and fork it? He was more or less staring at her shawl. His mom wore a shawl. It was pretty. But it was probably totally hazardous for Gravity Defying Gaseous Death Balloon rides. | |

A million questions bubbled into her head when he admitted that he had signed up for it or something like it but he wasn’t sure. Eh? Twirling her fingers around a few strands of blond hair Natasha asked the obvious question "So you aren’t Roscoe Bole then?" If he wasn’t then her date had stood her up. Did the dating service give compensation if you were stood up?
Extending a nail polished hand towards him she fired of a hearty beam. "I’m Natasha Warrington nee Montague." Looking over towards the hot air balloon she felt a shiver go down her spine "Are muggle balloon rides safe, you think?"

"Um,good." Natasha managed. So he was Roscoe Bole and her date for the ride. For a minute she had thought she had been stood up but she wasn’t!! Bole, tasting the name in her head she knew it was familiar. Hadn’t her sister Isobel dated Evander whose last name was also Bole?
Eyeing Roscoe she thought she detected some resemblance. Taking his extended she shook it asking "Are you related to Evander Bole who works at the ministry? My sister Isobel used to date him." Okay had she just said all of that? Natasha usually didn’t divulge that on first date. Maybe it was the weird blind date situation that was getting to her?
"It’s nice to meet you too Roscoe." Natasha added remembering she had sort of forgotten that bit. Gesturing toward the balloon she asked "Should we get on it then to start of the date. The view from above must be magnificent." Unless you were scared off heights which she sincerely hoped he wasn’t.

Roscoe cringed at the sound of his brother's name off this beautiful blond woman's lips. Criiiiiinngggeeeeee, prolonged cringing. The only good thing was that, at least to Roscoe's knowledge, this woman hadn't ever been Van's girlfriend.
That was a plus, right?
"Uh...," Roscoe blushed like a girl," ...yeah. I remember Isobel." She was always way nicer than Van. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY nicer. Not that it was particularly hard to be way nicer than big brother Van... "Is that real weird for you? We don't have to do this."

Actually, it was weird, but Roscoe made it a point not to disagree with pretty ladies. Or any ladies.
Uh... or anyone.
She also had a point though. It mattered far less what this Natasha thought about this date than it would matter what Van thought. Even if she did want to continue on, was this really a good idea? Particularly now that Roscoe was "in between homes" as he liked to call it, was peeving his (very stable) brother really smart?
...it apparently didn't matter, because in the next moment Roscoe instinctively held his arms up to catch Natasha. He caught her just inside the door of the balloon basket. Good one Roscoe! Unfortunately, the bad part of this situation came in two parts.
"UMMfffphhhh!"
1. Roscoe Bole, in turn, tripped backwards over the picnic basket with his blind date's weight still in his arms. They were acquainted with the bottom of the basket very quickly.
2. The hot air balloon must not have been completely muggle because as soon as their bodies cleared the door, the balloon began it's slow ascent heavenward on its own.
"Uh..." Indeed. Uh? "Uh.. do uh... did you hurt yourself? I mean, no, I mean, are you hurt?" He was just going to hang in the bottom of the basket and PRETEND he couldn't feel the ground fleeting below him. | |
