French Bistro Date: Joshua Carter and Candi Powers As you walk down the street, you become aware of a subtly lit restaurant up ahead and to the right. Tables large enough for two and wicker chairs sit outside, all arranged in a quaint setting; floating lights providing just enough light to eat by. Your eyes rise and you read La Connexion on the small wooden sign hanging over the door. Swing open the door, and a small bell tinkles, prompting the appearance of a short man. “Bonjour Mademoiselle…Monsieur. May I show you to a table?” Upon being seated, soft music begins to play nearby, and you take note of a violin player nearby. If you have requests, don’t hesitate to ask. Candi walked into the amazing French restaurant. It felt so nice to be going out on a date on Valentine's day even if it was through a Matchmaker. She sat down at the table and drank some wine while waiting for her date to arrive as she took note of the soft violin music. It was a beautiful place and perfect for a hopefully good date. It would feel so good to be dating someone, if the date went out well. If it didn't, well at least she had spent a good Valentines day. |
When Joshua Carter finally arrived to the restaurant, he was not sure if the marathon run he had performed a moment ago to get there in time ruined all his preparations. Of course, he had done everything he could to look his best even though his hair did not want to obey. It still did not obey and preferred to look a bit messy but...whatever. He had nothing to do about that. He was not the kind to use magic to look good. Simply because he was always confident of himself, no matter what. Most importantly, the dark bouquet of dark roses in his hand looked good as he walked in. Now, where was the lady? There she was!!! The moment he set his eyes on her, a wide smile appeared on his face. He walked forward and stood before her with the boquet of dark red roses. ''Hey!'' *wave* |
Candi smiled brightly as the quite attractive young man walked into the restraunt. She ran her hand through her hair quickly hoping that it didn't look to bad. "Hello," she said with a bright smile eyeing the flowers in his hands. Was e really bringing her flowers? Attractive and sweet. That was the perfect combination. "I'm Candi," she said with a smile inclining her head towards the seat across from her. |
The blonde lady's pretty smile upon seeing him made his smile grow bigger. He gave her an once over first, before facing her back. Candi... ''Like 'candy' hmm?'' he said with a grin ''Sweet name.'' and laughing a bit, the young man gave her a quick wink. ''I am Joshua. Unfortunately i don't have a name as sweet as yours.'' He did not know how this was going to be yet he thought it had not started bad. He even had hopes now that it could go well enough. ''Nice to meet you, Candi. And i...'' he raised the bouquet of red roses a bit. He very well had caught her gesture for him to sit down across her yet he did not want to without safely giving her the flowers. ''...brought...i mean...these are for you.'' He hoped she liked roses. Dark red ones. |
Candi smiled at the attractive young man standing in front of her. "Exactly," she said with a laugh. "Well, Joshua can be a sweet name if it is paired with a sweet man," Candi said as she began to get her flirt on. What better thing to do on a date than to...flirt for better words. Candi's smile brightened even more. Red roses, the best type of roses. "Oh my, thank you," she said with a smile. Now too bad she didn't have anything better for him. |
Sweet? Josh smiled. People had called him many things before. Like tough, handsome and else but sweet... He could not remember anyone saying that to him before so it brought a warm smile to his face. ''I hope so.'' While his dark brown eyes were still on the girl, he sniffed the roses a bit and gently placed them in the large plate before her. ''It was a pleasure for me. A lady deserves more than the flowers that can hardly match her beauty. But...that's all i can do for now.'' On second thought. Perhaps he really was good at this art of flirting. Giving her the warm smile, he moved without turning his back to her and sat down across her. ''So, Candi, how are you feeling?'' |
