It takes only a matter of moments, but after that tugging sensation of the portkey, you land someplace where the air is crisp and fresh, and the sun shining down just right where the mist surrounding you glows almost, making everything look like a dream. You've landed exactly at the edge of what seems to be a narrow river of icy waters, where a small boat for two currently floats gently upon. Once seated comfortable inside, the boat is enchanted to maneuver itself, leaving you free to look upon the beautiful scenary and enjoy the ride with your partner.

Your location in the world isn't clear exactly, and one couldn't tell by the exotic wonders you may find yourself looking at. There had been a fresh blanket of snow fallen just days before, most of which has been melted by the sun's warm rays, but there are still a few patches of white making the greenery pop out with color. The flowers surrounding the bushes, climbing up the trees, and even hanging from dangling vines, were both subtle and full of life as they seemed to come in every shade of color imaginable. Some looked to be harmless as if ready to crumble by just the lightest touch of a finger, while others were large and outlandish, capturing your attention not only by they're vibrant colors, but their extraordinary shapes as well.

The boat journey sometimes took you into a tunnel of sorts, created by vines and parts of trees overlapping one another above you, either man made or just a natural occurance, and if you looked closely, there were even some flowers that seemed to glow in the dark with colors of blues, pinks, and yellows. The garden isn't the home to just plant life however, as the songs of many birds fill the air, each as different as the next. The buzzing of bees flying by is rare but not unheard of, just as the sight of familiar and marvelous butterflies dance by through the misty air. If the chilly wind that passes through every once in awhile is a bother, there is a large blanket by your feet in the boat to huddle into as well as a canister of hot chocolate with two cups to warm yourself up with.

So sit back and enjoy the ride!

As she landed on her feet and let go of the portkey, Gabi was a bit disappointed to see that they weren't somewhere indoors. It was the middle of winter and the last place she wanted to be was OUTSIDE. Still, she'd planned accordingly and was wearing a lovely purple turtleneck sweater with jeans and dark brown boots, so it wasn't that bad.

When her eyes fell upon the boat, however, her eyes widened.

NO. GABRIELA MONIKA SCHULTZ DID NOT DO BOATS.

She was deathly afraid of them, actually. Granted if something happened to them and this boat turned over she probably wasn't in TOO much danger of dying, but just knowing that she could possibly drown after getting in one of these things was terrifying. And it was winter--had no one remembered the TITANIC?? THEY COULD HIT A PIECE OF ICE AND DROWN!

Refusing to get into the boat until her date got there (and possibly not even then) Gabi just stood there and waited, arms crossed moodily as she took in the scenery around her. Well, at least the trees were pretty and stuff.

Harvey did his typical one-footed landing as he released the Portkey, quickly using his cane to balance himself. He looked around to check his surroundings.

EH, this didn't seem to bad. It was cold but Harvey had worn his long black trench coat and his favorite black flat cap over his long messy blonde hair. He didn't know the date would outside the entire time and wished he had worn a scarf and gloves.

AH! A boat, this could end up being a disaster. he had already slipped once trying to get into that same kind of boat last summer. He wore a towel and cursed at his gimped leg for the rest of that boat ride while his mother and foster son rowed it around the lake they visited.

OH RIGHT! His date, where was she? He looked for her and saw a women standing not to far from where he was. He waved but she didn't seem to notice as she was also eying the boat distastefully. Hello there Miss? He greeted her from the distance. There was no hard ground to put his cane on so he must have looked ridiculous as he the closed distance between him and her.

Gabi heard a noise a few feet away and turned, watching the arrival of who she could only assume was her date. The first thing that caught her attention was the cane he was holding...well, that was interesting. What was that on the top there? From where she was standing it looked like a snitch or something, but she couldn't see it very well.

He had longer blonde hair and had thought to wear a coat, something Gabi hadn't had the foresight to do. It was a shame, seeing his trench coat made her think of a really nice green trench coat she had in her closet with that tags still on it, it would have been PERFECT for today...oh well, too late now. She smiled politely and closed the distance between them, holding out a hand for a shake.

"Hello, I'm Gabriela. You must be my date," she said with a small chuckle. Because who else could it be? She was just trying to make small talk to put off the whole boat thing for as long as humanly possible.

Oh good, she helped with the whole distance thing. Harvey wouldn't have to walk very far anymore.

Gabriela, I'm Harvey he took her hand and shook it gently. He smiled when he heard her little joke and laugh. Well, if I'm not I sure got lucky Harvey! You charmer. When he does show up. We'll have left him the dust.

He looked at the boat then back to Gabriela. I think we have to get in that. As much as he really didn't want to.

Harvey? That was an interesting name. Certainly one Gabi had never heard around here before. "Nice to meet you Harvey," she said with a smile as she shook his hand. She chuckled at his small talk and then nervously looked out at the boat.

"Well, I wouldn't say we HAVE to, right? I mean, what are they going to do, FORCE us in it?" she asked with a slight chuckle, desperately trying to mask the fear in her voice. Gabriela Schultz DID NOT FEAR ANYTHING.

What say we just have a nice relaxing little date, right here on the nice solid ground then. Nooo way was he going to even consider stepping into the boat.

The Riverbed looked beautiful and the water had a nice glow to it. They could enjoy all the wonders of this date right here.

I'll be just a minute He said as he went down to inspect what was in the boat. A blanket, and some Hot Cocoa with two thermos'. Pulling his wand from his cane he summoned them from the boat to the dry land. Sheathing his wand he placed it on the ground and gripped it tightly, planting his good left foot on to the side of the boat and kicked it off. Watching the boat float off in the direction they would have traveled if they got into it.

Picking up the blanket and Hot Cocoa supplies, Harvey carried them back to Gabriela with a slight grin on his face. All taken care of then.
