Ballroom Dancing Date: Marshal Romalotti & Tamara Scamander The ballroom is exceptionally elegant. Save for an old fashioned gramophone in the corner, the room is void of furniture. The golden paint covering the ornate ceiling and molding sparkles in the light of the chandelier hanging from the center. Light pours in in purples and reds and blues through the stained glass windows. Can’t dance? Never fear, you and your date are alone in the room, although a skilled instructor is available if necessary. Once you finish with your dancing, there is a delicious dinner being served through the ornate doors at the end of the room. |
Dear Merlin! Something done as a joke in one of her bored moments at work turned into THIS. And THIS had better be worth her time. She had spent nearly two hours getting herself ready and getting Dale off to her father without him asking too many questions. SIGHS FOR LIFE. And here she was EARLY... or was he LATE? Oh Dear what if she was being stood up? She was not sure she could face this. Where was a paper bag when she needed one? |
Marshall straighten up his tie before walking in the the ball room. He was way more that nervous. He couldn't believe that his daughters Caroline and Ariel and son Asher all talked him into going to the match marker. But the he was and there she was she was very beautiful standing there waiting on him. And he was late a little. Relived that she was still there with his slight delay due to his nerves. Did he said that he hadn't been on a date in a year? Yeah, a year. "You must be Tamara, correct?" She asked nervous but with a smile he handed her the dozen roses he had bought for her. |
So THERE he was. What a ... BAH! Tamara tapped the toe of her pumps and eyed the man for a moment before moving forward and extending her hand. "Yes, Tamara Scamander. And you are?" she said curtly. She was not in the mood for this now. He was late and she was agitated. And ROSES. Really? Unimpressed. Taking a long look at the bouquet she frowned slightly. "I don't like roses," she said as she drew her wand and quickly transfigured the flowers into orchids. She was a fan of orchids after all. "Do you even know HOW to dance?" she asked him after taking the much less offensive flowers. Yes, she was being slightly rude, but then again... he was late and she had no patience for people who were not promptly on time. |
