There are plenty of fish in the.... aquarium! Your tickets are bought, so once your date arrives you can go exploring! The aquarium is multi-level, so start at the top and work your way down.

First up: Penguins! Watch the flightless birds "fly" through the water in this "cool" exhibit. But best not linger too long lest your date start wondering if it's you or the penguins that smell so pungent (it's the penguins! ...we hope..)

Down the stairs, you begin your underwater journey! Freshwater fish like perch, dace, trout and pike can be found here. Continue on and keep a close eye because you'll also run across frogs, turtles, eel, and otters. If you're lucky, it'll be otter feeding time and maybe you'll get to feed them a fresh dead fish? Here's hoping!

The last section of the aquarium, and largest, houses the marine animals. Dun Nuh Dun Nuh Dun Nuh! JAWS! Sharks! Dolphins and manatees, too, with no end to fish. Visit the coral reef section and see if the clown fish make you laugh, or maybe you'll find a pearl in an oyster?

Seriously what was he thinking? A matchmaker date? Stefan was more used to just spending nights at home reading but one of his friends insisted that he should go out on a date, so this was exactly how he ended up here but once he saw the location; he couldn't help but look around. A date at a aquarium, could be fun. And if it wasn't, at least there was the chance to observe underwater creatures that he had only read about. Looking down at his watch, he noticed the time and frowned slightly; hopefully this wasn't going to end up with him standing around awkwardly.. waiting around for someone who didn't show. Relax, this girl is going to show up and it's going to be a good time; there's no need to be a bundle of nerves here. That thought hadn't been paid much attention to as he started pacing back and forth in front of the building, maybe it was better to just relax. Maybe.

Violet was really skeptical about this whole blind date thing. What if the guy was weird looking? Had bad hair, wasn't dressed well or...wore smelly shoes? Eeek. If that happened, she would happily turn around and walk away. Until now, she'd been set up on a couple of blind dates by her friends and needless to say, they were utter disasters. Hopefully, the guy she was going to meet wouldn't disappoint.

She walked towards the entrance of the aquarium hoping she wasn't too late. Erm. Now, where was he? She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and...waited.

As soon as he heard footsteps heading in his direction, Stefan stopped pacing and turned his attention to the woman that had been approaching the building; had she been his date? Well maybe it was time to find out. He walked towards her, twirling the stem of the rose that he had been holding between his fingers before deciding to say anything; this definitely wasn't as easy as he expected it would be.. though a conversation was the best way to start now. "Hello, I'm Stefan Taylor.." Huh, apparently he couldn't even get an introduction out without making himself sound weird but he hadn't been on too many dates so he was somewhat determined not to let this somehow go bad.

Violet was tapping her foot against the ground impatiently as she looked around to try and find out who her date was. Obviously, it was practically impossible since she didn't even know what he looked like when..her eyes spotted a guy walking towards her.

Violet could feel a smile tugging the corners of her lips as she took a few more steps and stood in front of him. Looked like he was her date. She could tell that he appeared to be nervous but that wasn't surprising..he was probably stunned by her beauty. Yeah. Probably.

"I'm Violet Lane. Nice to meet you, Stefan." Violet extended her hand, her eyes taking in his appearance. Oh, yes. He looked..impressive.

Huh so she was his date. Wow, she was pretty; definitely not what he was expecting the first time his friends told him that he had had a blind date at the aquarium. After she had introduced herself, Stefan blinked for a second before realizing that he was supposed to shake her hand; that was sorta important. Instead however, he took her hand and ever so slightly placed a gentle kiss upon it. "Nice to meet you as well Violet, oh and this is for you." Offering out the single red rose to her, he waited until she decided to take it; otherwise it would have been definitely a bad start to the date. This isn't so difficult dude, just don't forget to breathe and make sure that you pay attention to what she's saying. It'll all be alright. Hopefully that was true, he was looking for this thing to be fun and definitely educational.

Violet looked a little amused. Why was this guy so nervous? There was nothing to be scared about, was there? He was just on a blind date. And, not to mention the fact that he was on a date with her. Violet Lane.

Erm anyway..Violet's smile widened to a grin as he kissed the top of her hand. Aw. This guy was a gentleman.

She accepted the rose from Stefan with a small laugh. "Wow. You definitely know how to impress a girl, don't you?" Violet's grin faded to a smile before she said softly, "Thank you. It's lovely."

"Come on." Violet gave him a wink before she linked her arms through his and led him towards the aquarium.

Well this didn't seem to be that difficult, Stefan knew though that this was only the beginning of the date and there were still chances for things to go wrong; even if he didn't expect anything bad to happen. As she had lead him into the aquarium, he made sure to open the door for her since there wasn't a need not to; it was good to be the gentlemen since he wasn't looking to show that he was anything else but that. "So, do you have any siblings?" That was the first question that he wanted to ask, possibly a good point to start with since he wasn't sure what else to say before getting distracted by the penguin exhibit, whoa.. definitely cool, those birds looked like they were wearing little tuxedos; though weren't they flightless birds? At least that was what he read.

Violet smiled as they entered the aquarium. Frankly, she was quite happy with Stefan so far. He was dressed immaculately, good looking and very charming. In fact, she was starting to think that this date would be quite a success.

Huh? Did she have siblings? "Yeah, I do." Violet said, a little confused. Why did he suddenly come out with that question? "I have a younger brother, Julian and a sister, Daisy." She pushed her hair back from her forehead and continued, "How about you?"

Violet frowned a little when she realized that he didn't respond immediately. "Erm..Stef--" She noticed him looking at..penguins! She let go of his arm as she took a couple of steps closer to stare at the beautiful creatures.

After Violet had answered his question about whether she had siblings or not, Stefan just seemed to get distracted by observing the penguins; maybe he would witness these supposedly flightless birds actually fly for once. He heard that there were a few occasions of them flying but it was a possibility that that was just a silly rumour and after he noticed that she was staring at the birds too, he realized that she had asked him the same question. "Oh sorry, yes I do have siblings; two older sisters actually.. Alessandra and Sasha. It's definitely a strange feeling being the only guy in the family outside my father." You'd think he would have been on more dates in that case, but no; the past ones that he had been on were a total disaster since the girls had thought he was too smart for some reason. That wasn't possible, he was intelligent; there was no doubt about that fact.

Violet stood admiring the penguins for a while. They were so adorable, weren't they? All she wanted to do was to give them a huge hug..aw.

She briefly turned towards her date when he said that he had two older siblings. That's cool. "Well, I suppose it must have been.." Violet said, looking slightly doubtful. "Do you get along with your sisters?" Violet asked, suddenly. Yeah, weird question. She was just curious, that's all.

Violet's eyes were back on the penguins before she took a hold of his arm and said, "C'mon. Let's get a move on and look at other creatures."

Turning his attention away from the penguins, Stefan was disappointed that he didn't get to see them fly; you know what was going to happen, they were going to start flying as soon as he moved on to another exhibit. That would have been fantastic. "I do at times, I mean they insist that I should go out more but I honestly would rather spent a night reading with a nice cup of coffee." In fact, that would have been what he was doing tonight if he hadn't had this blind date but it wasn't so bad; Violet was a nice girl and it didn't hurt that she was pretty.

Once she suggested they move on, he simply nodded before slowly heading down the stairs and getting a glimpse of the fish tanks. Hmm, it was kinda interesting; fish weren't exactly his favourite thing in the world but it was still cool to see them. "Just out of curiosity, what school did you go to?" He just felt the need to ask another question since otherwise it was going to be quiet and quiet wasn't a good thing.

Heh? A night reading with a cup of coffee? Basically, he would rather stay in rather than go out..nice. "I know I hardly know you but yeah..I can see that you are more of a.." Geek. That was the first word that came to mind but it seemed rude to say it aloud. "..an introvert. Not that it's a bad thing, of course..since you seem to be a nice guy." Violet was babbling now..she had no idea why though. She could feel her cheeks burn a little with embarrassment.

Violet remained quiet as they walked down the stairs and before she could come up with another topic of conversation, Stefan spoke up. "Beauxbatons." Violet said shortly. She didn't like that school at all. Frankly, she would much rather have studied at Hogwarts. "How about you?" Her eyes were now on the fish tanks.

Hmm, it seemed like there was something that she was about to say but changed her mind last minute; Stefan knew from experience that it was usually rude and he didn't want to deal with that nonsense now. This was supposed to be a date and not time to be mean. "Well, most people think I really should get out more but I just feel the need to relax after work." Wait.. did Violet just call him a nice guy? Interesting. He was about to say something until he realized that there didn't need to be anything else said; at least not right now.

"Actually I went to Galway Academy, it's a school in Kilkenny, Ireland. Things there are a bit different I presume than other European wizarding schools, I wouldn't know for sure." Did he want to talk about his time at that school? Not entirely since it was trouble, well only because of who his friends were; they loved to make a huge spectacle of themselves which honestly wasn't who he was.. anymore.

Violet was still feeling annoyed at herself for calling him a nice guy. Well, he was a nice guy but to say that aloud...was a mistake. Shouldn't she have waited for him to compliment her first? Oh, whatever. She gave a small shrug when he proceeded to say that he preferred to stay at home. "I understand. I mean, some people prefer to relax at home."

Beauxbatons. Violet was still not happy that her parents sent her to THAT school of all places. She had such a bad time, honestly. Erm, anyway..huh? Galway Academy? Violet hadn't heard of that school at all. "Things are different? How?" She realized that she was asking a lot of questions but he didn't really seem to mind.

"Do you think there are dolphins here?" Violed asked, suddenly. She LOVED dolphins so much. They were such amazing creatures, weren't they?

Did she understand? Or was she just saying that to continue the conversation? Well he hadn't even mentioned what his job was so it was nearly impossible to actually understand why he just preferred to stay home, but Stefan wasn't about to argue the point; at least not now. As the subject of schools had come up, he resisted the urge to sigh since discussing Galway nearly gave him a headache every single time. "Well, the professors aren't exactly there to teach; they're more there to observe. Students from the upper years are selected to teach the different classes which definitely made things interesting when it came to exams." He remembered the time they he had to teach a lesson and just shook that memory from his brain instantly since now was not the time to remember being embarrassed in front of his classmates.

"Well if there are, they would be with the marine mammals; not with these fish." Any good aquarium would have dolphins, one of the most intelligent creatures in existence; but now he wanted to explore the other tanks in the area since were there turtles around here? He proceeded along the fish tanks then stopped when he spotted the unmistakable shell of a turtle, huh it was interesting watching them swim.

Violet had the feeling that this conversation was slowly becoming awkward. Okay, well..frankly, she had no idea why people wanted to stay at home when they could just go out and enjoy themselves. It was weird. Annd, when she listened to talk about his school, he didn't..well, it didn't look like he had a great time at school either. Like her. "Oh? That's definitely interesting. I mean, if I was in your school, I wouldn't be that excited..I mean, I don't really enjoy talking in front of a large crowd." Enough, Violet. She was talking way too much.

Violet couldn't keep the frown off her face as she saw him walking towards one of the fish tanks. She was starting to think that this was an educational trip rather than a date. Sigh. Anyway, she followed him to the tank and stood next to him. Err. Now, what?

A slight frown crossed his brow as Stefan noticed that Violet hadn't said much, merlin he must have done something wrong; the question was what though since he didn't exactly know what. After a couple minutes of thinking, the light bulb finally went off and he just sighed. "I'm sorry if this wasn't what you were expecting for a date, it's just been a little while since I've been on a proper date and that didn't exactly end well so yeah." He couldn't help but be distracted by the underwater creatures, that was the problem; he wasn't paying much attention to her which wasn't a good thing at all honestly.

Violet was staring at the fish tank, trying to come up with something to say since an awkward silence had settled down between the two. It was probably her fault. She wasn't as interested in the marine life as Stefan appeared to be..

"No. No, that's fine. I guess it's my fault. I've never gone on a date with a really smart guy before so yeah.." Yeah, that was true. Unfortunately. Ugh. She could feel her cheeks burning again. Why did she blush like that? So embarrassing.

"So..do you like to travel?" It was a random question but she wanted to keep the conversation going.

At least he hadn't entirely ruined the date, Stefan knew that there was still time to turn things around if he wouldn't have paid much more attention to the marine creatures and more time with actually talking to Violet; getting to know her a little better since he did think she was a nice girl. Not afraid to ask questions which was definitely a major plus in his books. "Well most girls are usually scared off by that fact, I mean it's not like I'm just going to not be who I am; I figure someone's going to like the real me so what's the point in pretending otherwise?" Why would you want to lie about something like that? He didn't even want to continue that point now.

"I do, actually I just came back from a nice trip to Tuscany." Italy was one of his favourite countries to spend time in, ah the joys of getting to travel for work; it was what made it awesome.

"Well, you should be happy to know that you don't scare me at all.." Violet said, confidently as turned to look at Stefan. It was a pleasant change, actually. It was nice to meet someone wasn't immature and annoying..like her previous dates. She still didn't know why she bothered to meet them in the first place. "You're right. I think it's horrible when a person pretends to be someone else..it's fake."

"Tuscany..." Violet murmured dreamily. She'd visited Italy once..although it was a long time ago. She was definitely going to plan a visit soon.

"That's great. I love to travel as well."

"Really? I think that's a first. But, I sorta figured that you weren't scared of me when you didn't run off within the first ten minutes of talking to me." A slight chuckle escaped from Stefan's lips after he spoke, oddly that was amusing to him even if he hadn't meant it to be. "People do that all the time though, it's rather frustrating to try to get to know someone that just wants to pretend to be someone else." He didn't think that Violet was like that, at least she didn't seem that way; she was genuinely nice and interested in him and honestly it was a welcome change.

"What's your favourite place to visit?" Now that he knew they both loved to travel, it seemed like the follow up question was only fitting.

Run away? He seemed to have a really low opinion about himself or..had it happen before? A small giggle escaped from Violet's lips. "You don't seem like the kind of guy one wants to run away from." At least, she didn't. When he continued to say that people did that all the time, Violet nodded. "I know. I mean, why be ashamed of who you are?" Violet gave a small shrug of the shoulders and continued to look at the fish tank.

Favourite place? Violet thought for a moment before she said, "Austria." She'd been wanting to visit that place for a long time..in fact, since her childhood.

As soon as she giggled, Stefan just smiled; it had definitely been a while that a girl had been more laughing at something else and not him. Honestly, that just seemed to make him not want to be as nervous anymore; Violet had shown him that she wasn't like the other blind dates that he had been on before and that definitely was good because he was starting to like her. "I'm not sure honestly, maybe they want to hide the truth but eventually someone's going to see your true colours and figure out that you were lying the entire time." He wasn't saying that she was pretending, it definitely didn't seem like that; she was just really cool. That was the best way to put it.

"Hmm, I don't think I've been to Austria quite yet. I have spent a few weeks in Japan; that definitely was one of the better trips that I was sent on for work." And he knew after saying that, that she would ask what he did for a job but there wasn't a problem with it.

Violet noticed that Stefan looked a little comfortable now..which was great and it also helped her to relax a little. Violet thought she was making him nervous; which was starting to make her feel extremely awkward. It was nice to see him smile actually..

"Absolutely. I don't there's any need to be fake just to impress the other person..I'm sure there's someone out there for everyone, you know?" Violet didn't usually talk about such things with anyone and she had no idea why she was saying this to Stefan..weird.

"Japan? Wow. You're incredibly lucky." Violet wanted to go to Japan as well..in fact, she pretty much wanted to travel all over the world. "Erm. If you don't mind me asking, what do you do?"
