HOGWARTS ROULETTE
Based on a fun thing trialed by DA Shopkeepers once upon a time, with admin permission we're bringing this fun RP game out for all of you in the haven!
The idea of this is to:
a) RP with characters and RPers you might not have interacted with before
b) step out of your RP comfort zone and jumpstart your muse
c) be reminded that the RP is about FUN
There are a few guidelines:
you can't pick or choose who to RP with - if you're assigned an RP please don't leave your partner hanging
but if something DOES come up irl, communicate with your partner!
Post back here when you have started your RP, so we can link them up for stalking reasons!
If you wanna talk about whats going on in the RPs, use the school chat, this thread is just for the roulettes! (but you can ask relevant questions here)
if you absolutely HATE your given scenario, you can tweak it somewhat (and interpret your character's motivations in a way that suits you), but please remember the idea of this is to try something new so be open minded!
RPs can be any length, and you don't have a timelimit in which to complete them - however you will not be assigned a new one if you haven't done your last one! That wouldn't be fair to your partner
if the other person hasn't started your roulette in a reasonable amount of time, contact them first. If it still doesn't happen, let us know here or PM out to PhoenixRising, Kolyander and Watson, and we'll add you to the list again and make sure you get to start the next one!

If you want to join in on an RP that is going on, think about if it makes sense for your character to be there (is it a place your character can be? At a time they can be there? Did the RPers establish that there was NOBODY ELSE AROUND or that it was IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT or anything else like that which you need to be mindful of?). Be respectful of the two who were assigned the scenario - let them play a bit first, and try not to 'hijack' the scene before they even get into it!
So without further ado, If you want a random RP all you have to do is post in the thread with your school character's name (staff, elves, and ghosts are allowed to play too!), and once X number of people have posted interest, your roulette hosts (currently PhoenixRising, Kolyander and Watson) will use a random number generator to match people up, and give you a random scenario/prompt (in Hogwarts!) where your charries can meet/RP. Its as simple as that. TeaforSoul used to do this on a former site that they were on and it was sooo fun. Some really weird RPs come from it and you never know what connections you might make. If your character isn't in your postbit they aren't eligible for this game. We did this for several terms on SS, and as of Term 62, we are re-launching the Hogwarts Roulette!
The Roulette Scenarios can be found in a masterlist in the post after this one. You are encouraged to post back here when you start your RP, and they will be linked under your characters in the Scenario post.

Roulettes are up! THREE rounds worth (fifteen scenarios!) I switched the order of a few people just so there was a balance of elves/ghosts/professors in the different groupings. There are three more spots in the waiting round - Ali will grab them once it fills up!
remember: you can tweak what you need to fit your charrie. Read the first post of this thread for more clarifications on how things work! also I'm pretty sure I didn't match any red name accounts with their RPers but if I did by accident cos I'm sleepy, nudge me and I'll reassign
