Karmen shrugged her shoulders "Thought you knew." telling people about her dog's vaccine records wasn't something she talked about because she enjoyed seeing people fear getting rabies from Banjo the corgi.

Karmen sighed she knew labels weren't always accurate, she's had experience with that eveytime she ordered something from a television ad, but she was thriving on this conversation "Labels have never lied to me. In labels I trust." she slow chewed her gum.

"It could be spelled that way, if a person wanted to." Karmen was holding the urge to laugh at her own self because she was hilarious!

"So do you work in Diagon Alley and or the Ministry? Or are you unemployed?" Karmen said it a survey type of tone, she wanted a better job and this pretty boy dressed all nice, so he must be banking.

Kennedy gave her an expressionless stare. How was he supposed to know if her dog was vaccinated or not? "I'm not a seer, so I wouldn't have." This chick. She was like his annoying cousin Peyton mixed with Johnathan. Oh, he would be SO lucky if his godson didn't inherit his father's personality. Please take after Eve. The thought gave him shivers.

"Then you're probably just lucky." He tucked the package under his arm. Maybe...he shouldn't take that one. If Karmen believed in labels so much she was probably careless of what she bought. "Just make sure you can sue whatever company you buy things from, since you trust labels oh-so-very-much," he said. Yep. She definitely reminded him of John. Sigh.

Kennedy pinched the bridge of his nose. "Yeah. Like anybody would want to be called that." Unless you wanted to get teased about it. But really, Sennedy? Where did this girl come up with these things? First the fox, then labels, now names. Yikes.

His first thought at her next question was: Do I look unemployed? He was pretty certain he didn't. He so needed to tone down his attitude. "Nope, I work at the Ministry. Second year YATI." M'hm. He was part of the cool people in the DMLE. He even had his badge on his belt. After his little proud moment he asked, "What about you?"

Karmen slow chewed her gum again "Seers are cool." she's never met one, but she wasn't going to let Kennedy know that.

For some reason she would amuse herself with those type of conversations! "I don't need to sue, everything I've bought was perfect." she snapped her gum. She once ordered a curling iron from a television ad and when she tried it out it burned her hair off. But again she wasn't going to tell Kennedy that.

"People who like unique names, will probably use Sennedy." Karmen said it in a tone as if she was so sure it would happen. "That kid's gonna be so lucky." Karmen popped a bubble with her gum.

YATI?! What?! JACKPOT!

"That's like super cool, you're a YATI." Karmen's mind was now going to hold on to Kennedy and not let go until she finds a job! "I'm an office secretary and go to school." college wasn't a job but in her point of her point of view, she should totally get paid for her student services!

Kennedy nodded slowly. "Yep, they're cool until they prophesize your impending death," he said casually. What? It wasn't that he was trying to scare Karmen...okay, maybe a little. Heh.

Right, right. Kennedy ran his hand through his hair. Gosh. He missed his longer hair. "Then you better thank your lucky stars, I suppose." He watched her face and got a feeling she wasn't saying the truth. People often sugar coated what wasn't very nice. "If it were true," he added. Smirk.

This time Kennedy sighed audibly. Sennedy wasn't even a name -- not that he knew of -- and it wasn't unique. He just smiled tightly and nodded. Sure. Why not? There were people out there with worst names.Kennedy was still better, though.

He couldn't help it, his chest puffed out a little when Karmen got all impressed. It happened every time someone complimented him on his career. "Oh, that's cool. I just enrolled for a few classes at the university. What are you studying for?" This was a better subject than unique names and labels.

"That's interesting." she popped her gum "my mom needs to meet a seer, like really soon then. Karemen deep down loved her mom, but the lady was getting on her nerves!

"yeah my stars are awesome." No they weren't! You're hair burned because of those darn false ads!!

"That's cool. You look like you're super smart." Karmen chewed her gum ""Viking archeology." It's quite difficult to believe she can be somewhat intelligent, runes was everything she ever cared for learning about. It was her passion. "So are they like hiring at the Ministry?" she went back to that subject.

"W-Wha-aat?!" Kennedy spluttered. "You want your mom..." Who'd want to kill their mom? Kennedy inched away from her. A clear five foot range between them. He eyed the door. "Maybe she's hoping for the same," he muttered. Even if Peyton got on his last nerve every he wouldn't want that.

Kennedy rolled his eyes. "Sure. Hope you'll be saying that when you end up bald because of a label." And he'd want to see that and be all: I told you so.

Super smart? Scoff.

YEAH.

Kennedy readjusted the strap of his messenger bag on his shoulder. "I've been told that many times," he said with a grin. Ah...Viking Archaeology? Ah. "Interesting," he nodded. "I enjoy reading about them." He did. Once or twice.

NO. That was his first reply to her question, but it'd come out too anxious. Imagine working with her. Five days a week. Every week. Kennedy smiled tightly. "Not at this time. Maybe in the future...way future...they might." Not technically a lie. The Ministry will hire in the future...days into the future. Karmen didn't need to know that. She could go and study more about Vikings.

Karmen shrugged her shoulders, she really wanted to laugh but this was having such a funny effect that it was just to sweet to spoil.

"I bet you have." Karmen snapped her gum. He's totally lying. She thought to herself and smiled to herself. "Yeah, it's very interesting. I wish I was a viking, I'd totally rock those outfits." Karmen was really into them, she even searched on the muggle internet for real life vikings she could date. Unfortunately they were only re-enactors and not the real deal.

Karmen squinted her eyes practically looking into his soul, just to verify if he was lying. He probably wasn't but double check, girl! "Cool." She said "I'm looking for a job, because I'm broke." Which wasn't a complete lie, she mostly wanted to get paid better than in the office she currently worked in to be able to buy video games.

She made it seem as if he was lying. He wasn't. He HAS been called smart. Gah! He didn't need to prove himself or anything. Kennedy shrugged the comment off. He did crack a smile at what she said next. But it was all he could do not to laugh. "That's...great. Maybe you should go on an expedition to search for them." Then he wouldn't have to worry about crossing her path again.

Why...was she looking at him like that?

Kennedy took another step back, but found that there was no more room to step away. His back hit the display wall. She probably knew he was lying and she was going to go all rabid fox on him.

She believed him. She believed HIM. Thank Merlin. Kennedy's shoulders relaxed. Phew. "Jeez, that sucks. I heard the French Ministry of Magic is hiring." TOTALLY MADE UP...but he was going with it. Mellow.

Expedition? Karmen wanted to laugh as she slowly chewed her gum. "Nah I already went on one, they're all dead." She was being sarcastic and was fighting the urge to laugh.

"The French Ministry?" Karmen looked at Kennedy with a keen eye. "I don't speak French." She popped a bubble with her gum "I hardly speak english sometimes." That was a lie she spoke fluent English and Spanish.

His forehead wrinkled in a way that clearly said: Are you for REAL?! Kennedy straightened, the way he always did when he was in for a debate. "They're not. Maybe not full-blooded vikings, but there are still some around." There had to be.

Hah!

Kennedy suppressed a grin. "That's too bad. Maybe you should take up French lessons." He eyed her. She really was like Johnathan. Probably said the first thing that popped into her head too. "Right. That's a pity."

He shrugged and put the box of Kneazle food back and got another one. "I'll be getting this one instead. Thanks for the help." Not.

Leah had entered the pets shop, her new kneazle Filomena walking beside her. The kneazle kept looking around at the different animals with large eyes. "Come on, don't be afraid of them, they're all nice, they won't hurt you." Leah told Filomena in a calming voice, though she was not at all sure that pets here were kind or not.

"We're here to get you toys and accessories, Filomena." The girl said. She picked up toys after toys on the display shelf. There were so many types of toys here, she could not decide which one to buy. "Do you want this fluffy one? Or that shiny one?" Suddenly, the kneazle jumped up and down, trying to catch a ball on the shelf. "OK, OK I got it. You want this." Leah said, taking down the ball.

The pair walked to the Collars and leashes corner. "I don't think a leash will fit you, let me get you a collar." The girl told her pet, picking up a pink collar. "Do you want anything else? Nothing? Then let's go." Together they headed to the counter.

It really wasn't saying anything new that Addy and K'nid just didn't get along, and although the niffler's training was helping, as was the larger house and grounds, it was still problematic. And thus, the first stop for Spike on today's shopping trip was the menagerie. They had almost anything and everything one could need for caring for a pet, and thus he hoped they had something along the lines of what he was looking for.

"Don't worry," he said to his girlfriend, as he held open the door for her."I'm not getting a new pet." It was tempting, for sure though, seeing all the cages around. He ignored them, however, and head straight for the displays. "I'm looking for something for K'nid."

To say Addy and The Niffler, as she referred to it, didn't get along was a gross understatement. In fact, The Niffler freaked her out. It looked funny and it often times cornered her and STARED at her. The thing was a nuisance. Bah.

The redhead slipped in the door as Spike held it open and wrinkled her nose slightly. This place always smelled like stale urine. At least that's what she thought. Heh. Following him to the displays she said, "Definitely no more pets. We couldn't afford another one anyway." For real. She had nearly lost count of how many they even had.

Oh of COURSE he was looking for something for The Niffler. Pfft. "If you're going to buy something for The Niffler we have to buy something for all of them. If not they'll all be jealous. Yoda needs a new brush, Han ate the last one." Maybe one of those awesome dander catching ones... What would the lemurs like? And Matilda... And she couldn't forget Princess. Her eyes scanned the displays as she ticked off a mental list.

"Maybe we should go to Madame Malkins and look at some robes. Dress robes perhaps..." Would he wear dress robes when they got M worded? IF they ever did. SIGHS. But she wasn't going to bring that up again. Nope. And he wouldn't guess that was her reason for wanting to look, would he? Probably not, he was notorious for not picking up hints. NOTORIOUS.

"You can wait outside if you want," Spike said, as he watched her wrinkle her nose. It was quite palatable to him, not quite the glorious smell of manure or the greenhouses, admittedly, but not a bad smell. He'd certainly smelt potions ingredients that were far worse. "I know, I know," Spike said, though her words made him look almost longingly at the cages. So many new friends he could take home! Not that he should or had need to, since they'd adopted five new pets over the course of the last couple of years, alongside all the rest of their own menagerie. It was really no wonder they'd grown out of their old apartment.

He probably should have predicted her reaction about buying something for K'nid. "It's not exactly a present," he said with a frown, as he looked along the shelves. "I want one of those territory sprays," he added, as he picked up a bottle, and turned it over to look at the label. A skim read suggested it wasn't what it wanted, and he put it back on the shelf. "The idea being that we as humans can't smell it, but it'll smell awful to K'nid and prevent him going any further. I thought we could use it to mark the rooms he's not allowed in." He continued looking along the shelf, before picking up a small vial of solution. "This looks like it'll do the trick. Dilute a few drops into a spray bottle of water...got some of the those in shed...reapply every one to two weeks..." There, hopefully that what stop K'nid riffling through Addy's drawers and getting up to mischief in all the wrong places. It was worth a try, at least.

"So what did you have in mind for the others?" There were a lot of them, after all. "I can get Namako some of those treat worms he likes. And the lemurs could do with some more toys for their playpen now it's been extended. Some ropes or swings, maybe." Matilda would be a little harder to satisfy, but given she was in her usual hiding place, he could always let her choose.

Madame Malkins? "Sure," he replied with a smile. "I need to get some for Finn's wedding. Did you have a different occasion in mind?" Since she was being stubborn about his friend's wedding, and he didn't see why he'd need dress robes, or robes for that matter, otherwise. Yup, he was oblivious to her true motives.

Wait outside? So he could undoubtedly pick up another pet while she wasn't looking? They REALLY had to get their impulsive pet acquiring under control. STAT!

"No. I am fine in here. Really if you think about it, it doesn't smell MUCH different than our flat did. Pet odors and the like." MANURE. Addy despised when Spike tracked manure in the flat. Good thing he had a place to clean up outside at the new place. THANK MERLIN. And no, these were not really strikes against Spike, either. Even the little things that annoyed her... she loved them, too. They were all so very Spike.

And he was going to buy something that she probably could have made? Cool. I mean with enough research, magic, and potions ingredients she was sure she could have anyway. Where was his faith in her mad skills? PAH! "As long as it doesn't stain or stink I don't care what you get. I want him to stop wrecking my things. Always into my things. Why not yours? Are all of my possessions too shiny?" Really Addy thought the Niffler needed to be kept outside at ALL times. But she would never force an animal they were housing to be left outside... no matter how much she disliked it. And in all fairness, Yoda tortured Spike any chance he got. That thought made Addy smile a little. Protective little kitty. Heh.

"Well we could always make the things for the lemur playpen, Spike. No need to spend money on it. And well... I guess the same could be said about toys for the others. They just need a dander brush. I have been feeling a little sneezy."

OBLIVIOUS.

Rolling her eyes heavily she tapped the toe of her boot on the floor. CLEARLY this was sign of impatience. But she kept it at bay and placed her hand gently on his arm. "Yeah. You're going to need them for Finn's wedding." Which she was still refusing to attend. She was tired of all of these blasted weddings. It was infuriating. Spike and she talked about marriage and knew it was going to happen but he STILL hadn't proposed. And well... it was making her a bit angsty.

But she would wait. Impatiently. The poor boy always seemed to be 5 steps behind her.Sheesh.

She got eye rolls at that comment. EYE ROLLS. As if she let their apartment get that pungent from pet odours. And he had a suspicion he knew what she was implying with 'and the like'. Or rather, who. She didn't seem to have quite the same care for manure as he did, though since she still dated him, she couldn't exactly hate it either, right?

"You can check if you want..." he said, holding the vial out for her to take. There was no point him smelling it, given she'd be far more sensitive to it. "He just wants to be friends, I think," Spike said. "He's very affectionate, and he probably just wants you to recognise that. Not that I'm saying you have to, but that's probably why he keeps going after your scent." And really, who could blame the niffler for following Addy's scent? Spike could inhale that heady smell all day.

Make stuff? That sounded like fun! "Does that mean we get to go to the muggle DIY store?" His looked at her hopefully with wide eyes. DIY stores were awesome! Drills and saws and other noisy (and possibly dangerous) electrical things. SO. MUCH. FUN. "If so, that's a totally awesome idea...and we can't have you sneezy." He shook his head for emphasis. "Any particular type or colour?" Who knew if Yoda was that fussy, since Yoda was ALWAYS fussy with Spike. He was glad Addy's familiar was protective, but sometimes the kitty was just a little too full on and grumpy when it came to him. Spike could tame most creatures, but nope, when it came to Yoda he STILL got scratched on occasion. SIGH.

Was she impatient about being in the store too long already? But they hadn't even found the brush SHE wanted yet. Huh. "Still not joining me then?" he asked with a sigh. "Not even to see me all dressed up for more than five minutes?" Didn't she know how much he wanted her there, so he could show her off as the most beautiful girl in the room? "Who will I dance with?"

When she smelled the Amortentia she brewed she sensed a hint of manure, actually. It was wholly a Spike smell... It didn't bother her nearly as much as the stains on the carpet did, thank you very much.

Taking the vial she cut her eyes to him before she took a big ole sniff. Hmmm. Her eyes closed and she tilted her head slightly. It smelled... not so bad. She did indeed have a sensitive sense of smell. "It'll do just fine. I can smell it, but it's not bad. I can deal with it." Of course SHE could likely brew something that didn't smell at all. But whatever.

Wait... The Niffler just wanted to be friends? LAUGHS. He got them. "He has an odd way of showing it, really. I don't tend to rifle through my friends' underwear drawer. He needs to learn boundaries before we become friends." And he was SO cute when he got excited about things. Addy smiled sweetly and nodded her head.

"Yes of course we can go to that blasted store. It'll save us some money and I am ALL for saving money." These days, at least. She was becoming frugal and she didn't really know why, but it was FUN shopping in thrift shops and the like.

Noooow. What kind of question was that? Wrinkles formed in her forehead as she squinted at him. "His favorite color is green, of course." Did he think she named him Yoda simply because she was a Star Wars fan? Sheesh. Grabbing a green brush from the displays she turned it over in her hand to inspect it. HMMMM.

Could she ignore the wedding talk some more? "I'd prefer not to, yes." But she would end up going with him. The thought of some single gal trying to get HER SPIKE to dance was infuriating. Hence the tooth grinding going on right now. "But we both know I will go with. I just... I am SO over weddings and people getting married right now."

Melek strolled into the Magical Menagerie shop in search for some food, toys and supplies for her kneazle. She had adopted Elouan at the adoption fair last summer when she had been in the country, getting supplies for Hogwarts. Mel's parents had transferred her from hoe schooling to the wizarding boarding school last year and the only good thing was that Annaleecia, her best friend, had been sent there. Melek felt bad for her best friend since Annaleecia was abandoned by her muggle parents since they had feared her. She never could understand it but wondered about what would have happened if she had been in her friend's place. Her father was a wizard but her mother was a muggle though her mother didnt seem to mind magic.

Mel wandered around the stores, stopping and looking at the animals they had even though she didnt plan to by an animal. She casually went over to the shelves full of toys, supplies and stuff. Melek searched through her wallet to make sure that she would have enough to get some things. After that, Mel took out her notebook and quill, searching her list for each shop. She went to the subheading for this store and looked at it then to the shelves. Melek couldn't buy many things... just one bag of food for now, a toy and a new collar and leash.

Bryant Finnian Morris (Bryant to his parents, Finn to his friends) stepped into the Magical Menagerie store front, away from the crowds of the street. He was here on a quick shopping run while his brother was away at practice. The new fifteen-year-old had decided that he was bored with his brother's apartment and decided to wander free around wizarding London. Today, his goal was to get his kneazle for school.

The tall, lanky boy played with the sunglasses that now sat atop the brim of his hat while he wandered the store and looked at the things he could buy his new pet. Sure he had to actually pick a kneazle first, but for now he'd stick with getting toys and the like. As he came to one of the racks, he noticed a collar that looked really neat with camo on it. The only problem: there was a person between him and the shelf. He tapped the person on the shoulder and spoke, using his fake british accent. " Ello there chap, mind if I sneak on by and grab a collar?"

Melek looked up at the tap on her shoulder but glared as the boy spoke in an obviously fake British accent and called her a 'chap'. Mel turned to face the boy, checking him out to see who the heck insulted her. She eyed him and her hood fell down as she crossed her arms. Melek started talking, not caring that her Turkish accent came out. "I dont think it is wise to do a fake British accent in Britain... Are you wanting to insult people? I dont think it is wise to also call a girl 'chap' either." A small snarl came but only to emphasize that she didnt like getting called a chap. Her hair had started to come out of her hood and fall down the front of her sweatshirt. Mel tapped her fingers on her covered arms but stepped aside. Melek gestured to the shelves for him to go ahead and get whatever he had asked. She glanced down at her list and grabbed a bag of Kitty Knibbles. She glanced at the toys, trying to decide what one to get before muttering. "Eh... if I dont pick one, I could easily get my kneazle a cardboard box... She loves those..." Melek kept searching though.

Bryant had a bit of a smirk on his face when the person standing there turned, but it quickly disappeared when he realized the person in front of him was a girl. "Uh... um.. it was meant to be a joke." Bryant stammered out hastily. "And I couldn't tell that you were a girl from the back with your sweatshirt covering your hair. Besides, why are you wearing a sweatshirt in the middle of summer anyway?" He asked, stepping forward to grab the collar before retreating out of the girl's way.

The fifteen year old watched the girl try to pick a toy for her pet for a moment before glancing at her choices. He heard her muttering and briefly picked up on what she was saying. "I'd get a plastic ball with a hollow center... that way you can put food in the middle and make the animal work and think in order to get the treat." He said before turning and walking over to where the bowls and dishes were without even introducing himself.

She raised an eyebrow, "A joke calling me chap?" Melek huffed a little and glared. Mel's jaw dropped at what he said next. "Excuse me?" She was offended and grumbled at what he said. "Not like it is any of your business but I am cold. I am not used to these temperatures... I come from Turkey and dont you dare make a joke about it and the bird or I will punch you." She hissed at him then sighed and looked away, frowning. Melek couldnt deny that he was a bit cute though... even if he said the wrong things to her. Mel started to consider to actually do what her parents wanted her to do. Thoughts of dresses, make-up and pink came dancing into her thoughts but she quickly pushed them away. Melek was going to take this girly thing one step at a time... She would wear more girly tops and jeans then maybe do some girly shoes or try to do her makeup and hair... or something like that.

Bryant shrugged at the girl. Technically he had meant the british accent as a joke, especially since he came from the US, but he didn't feel like arguing with the girl since she seemed very tense and huffy. So she came from Turkey... why did that mean that he had to make a joke out of it? Maybe he was intrigued... which he actually was but wasn't about it admit to it in front of this girl. It didn't really matter anymore because the tall American boy had already moved on.

He was about to go grab a dual dish when he felt a tap on his shoulder. Turning, he looked down upon, hey look! the girl from earlier who had yelled at him about his being rude. He gave her a friendly smile as she spoke, letting it grow into a smirk as she introduced herself. "Pleasure to meet you, Mel. You can call me mystery man." He answered, turning back to the shelf and picking up the dish he had his eye on.

Melek sent him a look and a hmpfh. "I said my friends call me Mel... You aint a friend... You are a nameless boy who seems faking a British accent in London." She put her hands on her hips and gave him a once-over. "Mystery man? One thing for sure and that is that you are hardly a man... more like a mere boy." She looked at him, "So yeah... how about a name?" Mel looked at him, rocking back and forth on her heels. "So how about it? You got a name or should I make one up for you? Like Pete or Brian or Paul?" She tilted her head, "I could call you Edward Richardo Lionel McClure the third." Melek giggled and smiled at him. "So Edward, where do you go to school?"

Bryant smirked a bit with the girl's, Mel's, reaction. "But we're going to be friends, so might as well just let me call you Mel now." He said with a bit of a shrug and a wink. He saw her giving him a look over which only made him smirk more. "I'm much more a man than you. But if you really want to call me mystery boy, feel free." The lanky boy said with a laugh.

Rather than focus on what the girl was doing, Bryant kept going about his business, picking out items he would need for his kneazle. He did still answer her when she spoke to him. "You can have my name when you tell me something more about you... something interesting that you don't typically tell people." He answered with a smirk plastered on his face. He knew she was having fun with him when she started calling him Edward, not even remotely close to his name, but he'd let her play with it for now as he looked for a suitable bed for his new pet.
